BT Inifinty 2 - started disconnecting continuously...

BT Home Hub2 Software version 4.7.5.1.83.2.11.2.6 (Type B), Location : North Cardiff
I have had Infinty 2 unlimited (maybe had for 6 months?), no problems until last 7 days.
I was getting 54/14 (I think), now getting 30/8, that is when the connection stays up. Guess it needs to reprofile.
I have been unable to use internet in evening last 3 evenings - DSL light flashes, hub goes orange, stays orange, sometimes reset of hub reconnects (for a minute or two) and then disconnects, rinse and repeat for most of the evening. Seems particularly bad between 18:00 and 21:00.
I have spent 3 hours checking all my cables, cycling the modem and hub, disconnected all my computers, just in case but nothing obvious.
I have raised a fault, but was told it was not a line issue, and no faults in the area and that I should cycle the modem and hub (which I had already tried), fault was closed after 1 day, so I have asked to have it reopened I am awaiting further feedback from BT.
I have also noticed this in my hub log (never looked at it before so these might be normal) - is this something I need to/can fix ?

About this time in evening (22:00) connection stabilises, and I can post here, so I think it is fixed but by next evening the issue returns (has done last 3 evenings).
Hopefully it will resolve itself but, any suggestions ?

Ok after the engineer was booked, the line stabilised so that it only dropped once a day for 4 days, (but my profile was down to 12/1). There was apparently some issue on the line, the Engineer has been and swapped my old modem out (one of the original infinity modems). I am now back up to 44/12 (after 4 days) and no disconnects so hopefully the matter is resolved.
Still had no advice on the bad password messages in the log file so if anyone has any comment from this community on that I would be intertested.

Hardware digital trigger to start stop continuous analog acquisition

Hi I have seen the following example to use digital trigger to start and stop for finite number of samples. The example names is (DigitalStartandStopTrigger.vi)
in this example Reference Digital edge is used to stop acquisition but if I change to continuous then Reference Digital edge stops and show an errir. Could you please let me know how can I use hardware digital trigger to start stop continuous analog acquisition. An example would be really great

The way that example works (by modifying the read position of the buffer) essentially performs the same operation that the continuous samples mode does. That is to say, it is already a continuous acquisition.
The article below explains this in more detail, and the reasoning behind specifying buffer size manually and other tricks used. You may have already visited it in order to get the example VI, in which case it may be worth another read over.

My Ipod Touch 3rd gen continuously disconnects when connected to another accessory either by cable or aux cable. It disconnects within 30 seconds. If replugged by aux cable it will play properly, but ipod cable disconnects continuously. Any ideas?

Bridge Network Adapters Always Start Disconnected

I've been working on this for two weeks with no success. Everytime I reboot my server, Windows Server 2008 R2 & VmWare Sever 2.02 any VMs that are set to bridged networking boot with their network adapter set as disconnected. It requires a manual "click" of the checkbox to turn on the network adapter. I have been using VMware server since version 1 and have never had this problem. One unusual thing is the Manager Virtual Networks Auto-Bridging doesn't seem to show any network adapters, although networking continues to work. If I set my VM to NAT or host only my adapter starts connected, as it should.
Things I have tried:
Uninstall VmWare server & Reinstall
Uninstall and create various VM Hosts, all do the same, pre-compiled applicanece and all costum built.
Moved host images to another server (works fine)
Checked to make sure Bridge Protcal is installed on ethernet adapter, even removed and readded.
Uninstalled and reinstalled ethernet adapter (Atheros AR8121/AR8113/AR8114 PCI-E Ethernet Controller(NDIS6.20)
This is a Windows Server 2008 R2 box with lots of ram and plenty of resources only running spiceworks & splunk in a test capacity. Using this machine for testing and pre-deployment but it's virtual machines need to act like they would in production.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Opps typo, I moved the VM images to different hosts, Windows server 2003, 2008 and 2008 R2. My home box runs 2008 R2 and Vmware server nicely together without this issue. Hence why I'm at a loss.

MS Word Starter 2010 continually asks for product key yet keeps closing.

When I try to open the free pre-installed MS Word Starter on my PC I am prompted to enter my 25 character product key. After doing this a I receive ‘Your product key is valid’ on pressing the ‘Continue’ button MS starter opens yet three seconds later the
same box appears prompting me to enter my product key again. On entering the product key again I receive a further confirmation my key is valid. On pressing ‘Continue’ the box closes yet so does MS Starter 2010.
It used to work when the PC was new.
I have run ‘Repair’ MS Starter and ‘Repair’ MS Office 2010
The same happens with MS Exel starter.
I use MS Word 2010 day to day which works fine.

No I probably did not uninstall it from the old computer and that machine
was scrapped some years back.
Just to recap, I use Word 2010 and Excel 2010 every day and they work OK.
As I understand it these programmes, Excel & Word 2010, is what I got from
downloading the MS Student & Teachers discs?
So in my limited understanding, as they both work OK, I don't appear to have
a problem with the license being used twice. Do I understand that
correctly?
My problem is that on the rare occasions I decide to dip into the MS
Starter Programmes, a window appears asking for a product key. When I enter the
key for the MS Student and Teachers disc it says its valid, Word Starter opens,
the box asking for the product key appears again and when entered both windows
close. I don't quite understand why It asks for a product key for something
factory pre-loaded?

Pavillion dv6-6002ev is beeping on start up continuously

Hello,
I have a problem with my laptop which is the Pavillion dv6-6002ev i5, operating system: Windows 7, error message: continues beep code at the start up, issues occurred: water was spilled through the keyboard, product LL053EA.
Actually I am not very proud of it but by mistake I spilled water on it through the keyboard. I immediately turned it off and I used the blow drier to dry it as much as I could..I removed even the keyboard and the memory cover from the back in order to be sure that all the water has gone.
After that I turned it on and in the start up there is a beep code ( I don’t have LED code at all) that is continues.If I press enter or another button then after awhile this sound stops for a while then starts again and then I have to choose from the Boot manager Windows7 and then starts.
Firstly the touchbad didn’t work but everything else worked fine (sounds, video, battery, processor). After 20 hours of the incident the touchbad started also to work but the light of the touchbad still does not work.
So the main problem is the loud sound at the beginning that doesn’t stop unless I use the boot manager to start the Windows.
I searched on the internet from the beginning and I saw that this beep code can only indicate a hardware problem so until now I have tried everything available on the internet to make this sound to stop (taken from here http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01732674&tmp_task=solveCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&lc...)But nothing worked and everything seemed fine, memory tests passed and everything.
Also I used the DST tests that are available from this model (Hard drive, Memory, Battery) but all of them passed...
So really after doing everything and without being an expert on PCs I would like to ask is there anything more that I can do in order this sound to stop and before I have to take it to expert to fix it? And is it this sound really worrying?, can I use the laptop until I will get it fixed or its better to have it off?

Gosh I hate when that happens! I've been there myself and I know it's very frustrating.
The first thing I would recommend doing is turning the computer on and getting all of the personal files backed up. That would be my priority. If you already have everything saved externally, then there's no need to worry with that step. Now, there is back up software out there that you can use. However, I've found that copying and pasting each folder individually over to an external hard drive/flashdrive or cloud service is a more reliable way of backing up your files.
Once you have everything backed up, you can troubleshoot. It would be helpful to know what the beep pattern is that you're hearing at power on. You did a great job finding that document. It has a key on it that will tell you what component is affected depending on the beep patter you hear. If all of the hardware components seem to be working OK, you could try reloading Windows. Although, I couldn't guarantee this would help since the beep code indicates a hardware problem, but it well worth a try.
Here are the steps to perform a System Recovery after you have backed up all of your files. From the blue links at the top, choose "Recovery from the startup screen (during system boot)". When the recovery is done, use your computer normally. Start it up and shut it down several times to see if it will detect any problems (which will cause it to emit a beep pattern again). If it does still beep after the recovery, there may be a minimal hardware issue. That malfunctioning hardware may need to be repaired/replaced before the notebook will stop beeping.
You could also try muting the PC Beep.
Right Click on the Speaker symbol in the system tray > Click Playback Devices > Right Click on 'Speakers'/'Speakers and Headphones' > Click Properties > Click the Levels Tab > Mute PC Beep.
This method should be used with caution though because if there ever were a serious hardware failure that would cause the computer to beep, you would be unaware of it, possibly until it was too late.
Let me know what the beep pattern is. Please let me know if you have any questions or if these suggestions help (this could help others with the same issues). I'll keep an eye out for your reply!

Yosemite airport express ethernet disconnects continuously

Could someone please Help!!!! Since I have installed Yosemite my internet disconnects on my Mac Pro continuously. It is like clockwork. Every 25 minutes or so... the internet will disconnect and than reconnect after about 60 seconds. It is the most annoying thing in the entire word. My internet is by ethernet cable through the airport express (version 7.6.4). The wireless from the airport does not seem to be interrupted. I can watch and entire movie off the ipad off the AirPort without any pause. The Mac Pro however will have a pause multiple times and will pause during internet use of any kind. I found launching safari speeds its return (this may be an illusion). The Airport Utility will show the internet disconnect when I lose it. However the wireless will still work. The Mac Pro is driving me insane. It cant even use the internet without dropping... If anyone is experiencing this PLEASE HELP!

More than likely you are experiencing RF interference from other devices operating at 2.4 GHz. You can use a tool like iStumbler to see what other networks are visible in your area. Then you can configure your 2 base stations to use a channel which is as far as possible from the channels used by other networks.

Macbook air starts-shutdowns continuously

i have a macbook air 2010 model that keeps showing the "are you sure you want to shut down " msg every 4-5 seconds...this happened in the beginning, now it seems to been stuck in a continuous loop of restarting....even trying to start from the recovery hd doesnt help...any ideas?

Since this MBA has a history of looping, best approach now might be to visit the Apple genius bar and have them check it out and find out what is really going wrong. If it is out of warranty, do you have Apple Care? Testing is usually free, repair/replacement not unless it is covered by warranty or AC.

I uninstalled, then reinstalled the program (which was originally obtained via download, not CD), but it didn't help. Still get same error message.
Contacted online tech support, they tried doing the same thing (under their control of the PC) but same thing happened. Instead of staying with me after that, they simply disconnected.
What can I try next?

Hp probook 4420s does not start and continuously cap lock blinks

I have tried-------
1. Bios Recovery ( used windows key and B and power button)
2. changed the memory to another slot
3. Power button holding 3 times (15-20 sec) without connect AC & DC
Still remain the same problem:
Computer does not start and contineously blinking the cap lock
Note: Using Windows 7, when I updated then suddenly shut down the computer and does not start.

Try a hard reset as follows:
1) Remove the battery and unplug the DC power adapter.
2) Press and hold the power button for more than fifteen seconds.
3) Plug in the DC power adapter (leave the battery out for now)
4) Press the power button

Your notebook does not have Windows 8 installed, but almost everything in this troubleshooting document applies. Take a look at the blinking leds section. Blink codes are a diagnostic aid and the sequence of blinks repeat. There is a list which will tell you what the repeating blinks mean.

Itunes 11.1.3 has started to continuously quit after opening

Hi there,
I have a MacBook Pro on 10.6.8.
For some reason my Itunes 11.1.3 has started to quit constantly. It takes a long time to check the library on opening up, and on opening lands in the apps that need updating section, freezes and then quits.
I have no idea why this has started happening. Can anyone advise?
I've restarted in safe mode and it still won't work.
I'd really appreciate any advice.

Power mac g5, slow start up continues

My original problem was, No wake up chime when I pushed the power button and of course I'd do a force shutdown and try to re-start which took about 3 or 4 times before it would finally start, so one day when I went to start it, I pushed the power button and "no chime" so I left it sit for a while leading to high speed fans for 5 minutes or so, I then shut it down, pressed the power button and it started on the second time, and since then I've noticed that if I let the fans run for a few minutes letting things heat up, it will always start up the second time... When I posted my issue, a suggestion was made to do the hair dryer trick,,,,Ok, I did the Hair Dryer Trick "twice" once with the memory in and once with the memory out, " However, I noticed that after putting the memory back in, I now have a very slow starting G5,,I thought that maybe something may have happened in the operating system, so, I've gone from Tiger to Leopard and back to tiger again just to find that I have the same problem, keep in mind that, once it dose wake up, all seems to run just fine no matter which OS I run.
Now, as far as the memory, I have 7 gig and they are as follows, 6 at 1 gig each and 2 at 512 = 7 gig. Besides having to install them in pairs, is there a special order that they should go?, cause now that I've thought about it, the slow start up problem seemed to start after I took the memory out and re installed it and I'm sure that I didn't re install them in the same order they were in but I did install them in pairs, maybe this is causing the slow wake up,
Anyway, this is everything that I've done so far. Now, I read another suggestion about removing the logic board and re heating all the solder joints around the memory slots, no problem there, I am a tech for 25 years, but just hate to waste a lot of time if this won't work.
So my question after all this is, dose the logic board need to be replaced? or is the memory mismatch causing a problem?

Not likely a RAM order problem, but I have read that bigger pairs should be 1st,(inner), is all the RAM reported correctly n System Profiler?
It may help to pull the board & heat, or reflow in an oven if you know how to protect the plastic parts.

My CPU started and continues lagging horribly less then a week ago. I have purchased Mackeeper and "cleaned" my computer to the best of my ability, but it is still working extremely slow. I have no idea what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions?

After uninstalling MacKeeper, if you still have the problem, proceed as below.
First, back up all data immediately, as your boot drive might be failing.
There are a few other possible causes of generalized slow performance that you can rule out easily.
Reset the System Management Controller.
If you have many image or video files on the Desktop with preview icons, move them to another folder.
If applicable, uncheck all boxes in the iCloud preference pane.
Disconnect all non-essential wired peripherals and remove aftermarket expansion cards, if any.
Check your keychains in Keychain Access for excessively duplicated items.
Otherwise, take the steps below when you notice the slowdown.
Step 1
Launch the Activity Monitor application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Activity Monitor in the icon grid.
Select the CPU tab of the Activity Monitor window.
Select All Processes from the menu in the toolbar, if not already selected.
Click the heading of the % CPU column in the process table to sort the entries by CPU usage. You may have to click it twice to get the highest value at the top. What is it, and what is the process? Also post the values for % User, % System, and % Idle at the bottom of the window.
Select the System Memory tab. What values are shown in the bottom part of the window for Page outs and Swap used?
Next, select the Disk Activity tab. Post the approximate values shown for Reads in/sec and Writes out/sec (not Reads in and Writes out.)
Step 2
If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator to carry out this step.
Launch the Console application in the same way you launched Activity Monitor. Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Select the 50 or so most recent entries in the log. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V). You're looking for entries at the end of the log, not at the beginning.

N96 Bluetooth connects/disconnects continuously

Hi guys having trouble with my new N96 that I got on Saturday, great phone but am now having a bit of a problem.
I have a Parrot CK3100 car kit installed in the car which has worked fine up untill now with all my phones that have been a good mix everything from a 6230 to a S.E. C902
I tried connecting my N96 today and it connects stays connected for a few seconds then disconnects then connects again automatically then disconnects again over and over again...! Frustration!
Anybody have any ideas as to what the solution for this may be?
Also I noticed while it was connected it didn't transfer contacts automatically... will this be like all the other N series phones and not do the contacts sync with the Parrot. Bit disappointed now as I love my Parrot!

Exactly the same for me. Connects and disconnects.
But I can help you.
For syncing your address book just go to your contacts, mark all.Then collect as a business card and send to you parrot via bluetooth. That stores them as they are now. When you add more contacts you will have to repeat the process.
As for the connecting disconnecting I have a very clumsy fix.
Turn on your parrot and let it connect to N96. Then ( believe me on this ! ) plug in your stereo headphones and leave them in for about a minute. Unplug them and you n96 will stay connected to your parrot.
Don't ask me how I worked it out.
This leads me to believe that there is a profile activated by the headset that we need to find and activate as default for the car kit. I've looked but not sorted it yet.
