BTE 2310 Correspondence e mail

Hi,
I have implemented BTE 2310 in order to e mail various types of correspondence from AR and used the sample code . The import parameters of the function module indicate the use of tables KNA1 and KNB1. However these are not populated when I have gone into de bug. The only variables that seem to be populated are the document number company code and fiscal year. I have written some code to get the necessary details but I am concerned regarding the system performance. The print program used in RFKORDP2.
Has anyone else used these tables successfully with this BTE are these tables populated?

Thanks for the reply! The MAIL_BODY_TEXT field would make sense... but I don't have that in the FINAA structure. Apparently that's added in a later version, the fields I have at my disposal are:

Reading the text using READ_TEXT works as expected, so it's correctly stored in the system.
Good to know the MAIL-fields are added at some point, but does that mean that right now I can't change the content of the mail? I'll check whether this can be implemented in a Support Package... would be nice

BTE 2310 -Archiving Correspondence F.27

Hi,
We want to archiv dunning and customer statement, for that we are using BTE 1040 and 2310.
Dunning is working fine and table TOA01 is getting updated. However for F.27 customer statement, it is not. We have maintained entry in FIBF and OAC3. Is that something i am missing out.
Further,data stored in TOA01, is it possible to view it. i want to send this data to external system but before sending business wants to see the doc they are sending.

Correspondence by mail

Hi,
Could anybody tell me the process for sending mail for account statement.
Actually the scenario is Whenever any entry get hit in employee account (created as vendor in the system) they should be informed by mail.
At the time of making any entry through correspondence I am only able to send the statement till Spool only.
I want to know about Sap Standard functionality.

LSO: Mail correspondence in mail body

In LSO, I have activated the 'Request-Based Correspondence' and I am getting mails on certain events (like booking confirmation) as PDF attachment docs. Now I need to have the same text that is coming in PDF to come in the body of the mail also. Can this be achieved?

Yes this can be achieved. It depends on some options you have made in the configuration. First of all: are you using smartforms of PDF-based forms to edit your templates (or something else)? This can be checked in transaction EFRM, open a collection you're using. In "characteristics" of the e-mail element, you have a field "form type". In the same view, under "output options", you have a checkbox "attachment". Deactivate the checkbox if you don't want to have attached PDF. I don't know how it works for other form types, but with smartforms, the text comes in the body of the e-mail.

Reference number in correspondence email

Hi!
How is it possible to include the document reference number in the introductory text of an email correspondence?
I have enabled the email function for correspondence using EXIT_RFKORIEX_001 (ZXFKOU01). I have also referred to SAP Note 1360070 - E-mail function for correspondence for a number of extended functions.
For the introductory text however, it is created as a FIKO text in SO10 and entered in the field C_FINAA-MAIL_BODY_TEXT. So I'm not sure how I can include the reference number in the text.
Can anyone advise on this please? Thanks in advance!

Hi,
You can control (via user exit or BTE 2310), which FIKO text will be read by standard logic (the text name has to be passed in FINAA-NAMEP or FINAA-MAIL_BODY_TEXT - see subroutine CHECK_MAIL_TEXT in RFKORI90) so you could define texts, including appropriate footer, per company code.
Inserting variable values is trickier, because, unless you are willing to do implicit enhancement in subroutine SEND_MAIL_WITH_ATTACHM of RFKORI90, there seems to be no place to do it other than the same user exit or BTE 2310... If you can solve the challenge of passing the data you need (reference number etc.), I guess you could try to read the text in the exit, do the variable replacement and then update it (no commit though!), but that opens up the whole question of concurrent processing, and is not "nice" from the performance point of view...
If I had to do it, I'd define a FIKO text per company code and do the variable replacement via an implicit enhancement at the beginning of SEND_MAIL_WITH_ATTACHM of RFKORI90...

I had copied the function module FI_OPT_ARCHIVE_CORRESPONDENCE to a custom function module and that is placed in the BTE 2310 and this function module has contains the correspondence types SAP01 (payment notificiation) and SAP08 (account statement) and i am planning to add new one i.e SAPP01 and what will be the Document type.
And SAP01 and SAP08 has the document type FIOPAYCONF,FIOACCSTAT
My question is could you please let me know where i can see the document type for the additional correspondence types where i need to pass ARCHIVE_INDEX in the function module .

Customer statements - Email & print at the same time - Is this possible?

Hi all,
We generate customer statements at regular intervals and send them to the customers, through mail, fax and email.
We have a print program which generates the customer statement. For some customers we want the statements to be printed as well as sent by e-mail simultaneously.
Can anyone please let me know which field, can we use to tell the system to look at if it has to only print / email / email & print.
We thought of using Bank statement field in the correspondence tab (KNB1-XAUSZ).
We created 4 values,
A - print
B - Email
C - print & email
D - Fax
However when we use 'C' the print program only sends the email, without printing.
Can anyone please let me know if I am using the wrong field? Is there any other field that can be used for our requirement.

I know it is an old thread. Just to add to what Eduardo explained here, Answer for your question is, yes it is possible to control it through the selection- screen. No need for a new Z-program for this. Even if you check the OSS note 549119, it is only talking about controlling it through master data if you check the mentioned include LXFKOF01(whether Email id maintained or not)
What we have done is, we have controlled the same through correspondence types. We copied the existing ones into new ones starting with E*. For example: SAP01 to EAP01 to denote that these are all for emails. And we check the correspondence type in BTE 2310 which is available in parameter I_BKORM-EVENT. Based on that, you either set FINAA-NACHA = 'I' (Email) or FINAA-NACHA = '1' (Print) or even you can include fax as well.(FINAA-NACHA = '2').
If you have some hard coded stuff in your forms, what you can do is, you can reset the correspondence type back to SAP01 from EAP01 by using field symbols , by changing '(RFKORD10_PDF)BKORM-EVENT'. Make sure you use correct print program in place of RFKORD10_PDF.
So when you run F.27 or F.62 with SAP01, it will mass print and when your run the same with EAP01, it will mass email.

Business transaction event (BTE) 2310 is availabe for Correspondence by
email or fax. Customizing and activation of the BTE in transaction FIBF.
BTE 2310 is applicable for all kinds of correspondence types including
Periodic Account Statements (transaction F.27).
For further information about business transaction events, pls. see the document and transaction in the IMG (Implementation Guide) following this path:

-> Business Transaction Events.
Kindly see the documentation of function module SAMPLE_PROCESS_00002310.
To do so, use transaction SE37 -> Display -> Function Module Documentation.
In this solution the system will automatically e-mail or fax correspondences to all vendors and customers selected in the selection screen of transaction f.27.

Spool Id

Hi,
I have done coding where I have to convert a Remittance advice into PDF and mail it to Vendors. The only problem is that I am not able to retrieve the spool id using Structure :
itcpp-tdspoolid and hlp_pdfspoolid...
One more thing is I am using BTE 2310 and 2040 for sending the mail but I want the spool output also...
What is the ideal way to go about this...

U can get Spool Request no from TSP01 Table
Fields
RQIDENT = Spool Request no.
RQOWNER = User Who created
RQCLIENT = Client.
check for other fields through u can get ur spool request no.
or
Try for System variable SY-SPONO which will give u spool number of List print.

Hi,
we use Business Transaction Event (BTE) 2310 and 2410. They need to be activated and some coding needs to be done. Starting point may be note: 549119
In the coding you can redirect the output from printer to fax/email (change output medium). An email-address needs to be determined as well, either from KNA1 / LFA1 or rather the B-Segment since A-Segment is usually used as Sales ord Purchasing Contacts and B-Segment is the accounting contacts.
As far as I know there is not other way like in Purchasing or Sales which can use message determination (without doing all the coding stuff).

How do you update field LFB1-INTAD?

I have a requirement to update the field LFB1_INTAD, with email addresses, but cannot see it as a part of any BAPI. The nearest BAPI I can see is BAPI_ADDRESSORG_CHANGE, but do not think it fulfills my need. Is there anyway, whether through a BAPI, a function or otherwise that I can update the field? If so, how would I do this?

IMAP account "standard folders"

I've been following another Mail thread about IMAP folders that highlights my own confusion about the expected behavior while creating & maintaining an IMAP account.
Background: I created an AOL IMAP account in Mail, using the settings I found online for account creation. (There was no indication of a need for, nor have I entered, anything in the IMAP Path Prefix field.) This created an "AOL IMAP" inbox (in the inbox parent) & an "AOL IMAP" account group mailbox with (@) icon, containing four subfolders named as follows: Sent Items, Saved, Spam, & VOICEMAIL. There were no other mailboxes created by creating this account (no "AOL IMAP" mailbox in Mail's "Sent" parent or in its "Drafts" one.)
It is my understanding that the four subfolders already exist on AOL's servers for any AOL subscriber. They are all visible using AOL's webmail interface, although the AOL client software for OS X (unlike the Windows one) allows direct access only to Sent Items, which it labels "Sent Mail." (There is an "Old Mail" tab, but it is in effect only recently read "inbox" mail, & has nothing to do with "Saved Mail," which the AOL client doesn't support.)
All four of these subfolders are supported by Mail.app. However, since all are created as subfolders in the 'group account' I gather from the referenced & other Discussions topics, none are not recognized as what is sometimes referred to as "standard folders" ... which I take to mean a set of mailbox names Mail knows to use for a particular purpose.
So, here is question #1: is this right? Does Mail come with a set of names it expects IMAP servers to use for sent mail, deleted mail (a.k.a Trash), junk mail, etc? Alternately, is there a standard for such things, or does Apple (for example) just include the .Mac mailbox names & expect the user to make any changes for other IMAP conventions?
I'm aware of the "Use This Mailbox For" function in Mail. However, this appears to be a one shot, one way deal: once you select one of the use options for a mailbox in an account, you cannot undo the choice. (IOW, there is no "none" choice.)
This leads to question #2: Is here a simple way to undo this?
AOL, possibly among others, has its own way of handling things like Spam & deleted items, so there isn't necessarily a direct correspondence with Mail's Junk & Trash mailboxes. Thus, I have no idea if Mail's 'use for' function would cause any problems if applied to them.
Question #3: Does anyone have any insights regarding this?
I would like to have a Mail trash mailbox that corresponds to AOL's version (which is a sort of grace period holding tank similar to Trash, except that AOL controls how long items stay in it before deletion from its servers). problem is, there is nothing like that that appears in Mail, either under the group account or elsewhere.
Question #4: Is there any way to create such a folder, or should one have been created in Mail's main Trash mailbox for this account by the app itself?
I just recently used the 'use for' function to tell Mail to use the AOL "Sent Items" originally in the AOL group account for mail sent from that account. This resulted in the mailbox being moved into Mail's main "Sent" mailbox & renamed "AOL IMAP." So far, so good, but leads to

This is correct. You don't need anything to be put there.

That's probably the case. Mail certainly didn't create them by itself.

Correct. The fact that they appear in the account group means Mail isn't using them for any predefined meaning. And the reason is that they don't have the same name that Mail uses for them by default.

I don't think Mail expects anything. It just creates the folders it uses by default if they aren't already there, and ignores the rest.

There is no standard, each server can do whatever it wants.

Yes. And these names predate .Mac, actually. The same names are used by the *.mbox folders within any POP account folder in ~/Library/Mail/.

There has always to be a mailbox for each purpose (even if it has not been created yet), either stored locally or on the server. You cannot de-assign a folder for a standard behavior without telling Mail which other folder should be used instead -- by doing Use This Mailbox For on another mailbox or by telling Mail to not store those messages on the server, for example.

Neither do I. Try it.

I don't know much about AOL myself. According to this article:

it seems that you must uncheck the Store messages on the server options (except for Trash), in order to be able to use AOL with Mail, but the problem could very well be just that AOL doesn't allow Mail to create new folders on the server, yet you can still tell Mail to use the ones created by AOL.

I have the feeling that Mail is already doing what you want, and the reason you cannot see that folder is because the name used by AOL is the same as the one used for Mail (Deleted Messages), and thus, Mail has already been using that folder for that purpose since the beginning.

In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/IMAP-AOLaccount/. Do you see a Deleted Messages.imapmbox folder there? If yes, and that folder does not appear in the account group in Mail, then Mail is already doing what you want.

Yes.
Regarding my #5 issue, I just noticed a new local
folder in Mail I assume was a result of choosing to
use "Sent Items" in the AOL IMAP account mailbox.
This mailbox is named (not surprisingly) "Sent
Messages (AOL IMAP)" & exists at the root mailbox level.
This is the folder Mail was using to store sent messages locally instead of on the server (when Preferences > Accounts > Mailbox Behaviors > Store sent messages on the server was not checked).
Problem is, the local "Sent Messages (AOL IMAP)"
mailbox doesn't contain any messages I sent from the
AOL account after I set Mail to use the "Sent Items"
mailbox for mail sent from that account.
Nor should it. You've told Mail to use another mailbox for that.
So, question #6 becomes: how do I get this local mailbox
to save a copy of messages I send from the account?
You don't. Mail will use it again (and it will disappear from the mailboxes list) if you disable Store sent messages on the server.
More weirdness: in Finder the info for this folder
says it was created at the same time as a "Drafts
(AOL IMAP).mbox" & shortly before creating "Junk (AOL
IMAP).mbox" ... yet these creation dates are
approximately one year before the main
"[email protected]" or its contents like
"Sent Items.imapmbox" were created! IOW, Finder tells
me these folders were created on my Mac around a year
before I set Mail up for the AOL account!

Customer statement email.

Hi All,
I have requirement need to send customer statement as email. I am running it from f.27 and attached correspondense.
I would like send an email of customer statement. Any user exit to do the same? Can any one did the same please let me know?

I am trying to run a transaction f.27 (customer statement) to be able to run a customer statement run that can be emailed to the customer (email address in the customer master).
I used the same step as above - BTE - 2310 and attached this to the new funtional module
The steps I have followed allready are
1. Copied a fucntional module
2. Assigned the functional module
3. Got abap programmer to activate sap connect.
It partially worked as it gave me the output on my screen which was a statement log and this was able to be emailed to the email address in the customer master.
Do you think it is due to the report not functioning properly in the first place as it is only showing the log when I run the report itself?
