Bug in users_online display

The page http://forums.ni.com/ni/users_online seems to allow multiple instances of the same user, e.g. at the moment users Dennis Knutson, GValdes, Kevin Price, Molly K, and reddog are all listed twice, inflating the numbers.
I know it is every lawyers dream of 48 billable hours/day , but I think in this case the code should remove duplicates in some way.

My theory on why this is happening is because when you close the browser, you are not automatically logged out. You have to be inactive for a certain period of time for it to automatically log out you. If you open another browser and login again before your previous login has expired, you will show up in the Users Online list twice.
I will suggest that the Users Online display be intelligent enough to remove duplicate users when this occurs.

ITunes 7 bug in album display

I like the new display modes, but I've noticed a bug. If you are in the list mode, sorted by anything other than album, and then go into one of the two album modes, you get multiple copies of each album, many with one song in each. If the list mode is sorted by album, then the album mode comes up correctly. What it seems to do is compress the list mode display, so if multiple songs for the same album are not next to each other in the list, they display as if they were in different albums.
It wasn't clear at all how to report this bug to Apple...

I think you're thinking like a computer geek, rather than a user. When I see a picture of an album cover, I expect it to show me all of the songs in the album. And, in fact, I have since discovered, that if you are in the odd mode where songs are sorted by something other than album, and you see multiples of each album, and you then click on an album cover, it not only immediately re-sorts to "by album" and shows you all the songs in the album you clicked on, but the array of album covers displayed also converges into one cover per album. I guess as a user I was expecting it to start out looking like this in the first place.

BUG: Info panel displays incorrect Hue values

Recently, I've been doing a lot of work with color in Fireworks and came across the following bug, which appears to be a longstanding issue within the application. Rather than keeping it to myself, I figured I'd post it here in addition to submitting a bug report with Adobe. So here it is...
Hue values displayed within the Info panel (in HSB mode) do not consistently match the values displayed in the Color Mixer panel—including basic colors such as pure Yellow, Cyan, and Magenta. The values are 1 degree off—most often below the Color Mixer value, but sometimes above (as with Magenta). This holds true whether using with the Eyedropper tool or the Color Picker swatches eyedropper, and whether sampling from the canvas or from swatches.
For example, the following inconsistencies were observed when sampling the centermost horizontal strip within CS6's default Color Cubes swatches picker. Note that over 50% of these colors are affected by the issue.
The Color Mixer seems to display the correct values, while the Info panel's values appear to be incorrect. Note that this issue affects the HSB mode only; the RGB and Hex values are consistent between both panels.
This bug has been observed in Fireworks CS6, Fireworks CS5.1 and Fireworks 8 on Mac OS 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard).

Concise problem statement: The Info panel displays incorrect Hue values for many colors—including pure Yellow, Cyan, and Magenta. The Hue values are usually 1 degree below the value displayed in the Color Mixer panel (e.g., 59 instead of 60 for Yellow) but sometimes 1 degree above (e.g., 301 instead of 300 for Magenta). This is true whether using the Eyedropper tool or the Color Picker swatches eyedropper, and whether sampling from the canvas or from swatches.
Steps to reproduce bug:
In an open Fireworks document, open the Info, Color Mixer, and Swatches panels. Within the Color Mixer and Info panels, set the color mode to HSB.
Draw a Rectangle and set its fill to Yellow (#FFFF00) using the Color Picker.
Observe the Hue values displayed in the Color Mixer and Info panels.
Select the Eyedropper (I) tool, and sample the rectangle's fill color. Again, observe the Hue values displayed in both the Color Mixer and Info panels.
Results: In both steps 3 and 4, the Hue value for pure Yellow (#ffff00) appears as 60 degrees in the Color Mixer panel but 59 degrees in the Info panel.
Expected results: The Hue for pure Yellow (#ffff00) should appear as 60 degrees in both panels.
Note that this issue affects the Info panel's HSB mode only; the RGB and Hex values are consistent between panels. Also note that this bug affects over 50% of the "pure" hues within CS6's Color Cubes swatches palette. For more info, see the following forum post:

This bug has been observed in Fireworks CS6, CS5.1 and FW8 on Mac OS 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard).

I haven't done anything other than add my footage to the timeline. I have 2 layers (1 targa seq and 1 png seq). As I move my mouse from the Timeline to the Comp Panel, the color values flash for a split second and go away. If I press Opt+1 (2, 3, and 4) the Info Panel displays the color for that one pixel but the values go blank as soon as I move my mouse. This happens in the Comp Panel mostly. If I open a Footage or Layer Panel, sometimes the values show, sometimes not. Never had this issue in previous versions.

Bug In My Display

Hello,
I recently noticed a very small bug crawling on what I though was the front of my display. I tried to brush it off but it seems as if it is inside the display, I'm not sure at what level. I was wondering if anyone has had anything like this happen. Should I take the iMac to the Apple Store. Would they agree to do something about it? This is really irritating. It's like having a broken or dead pixel except it's always moving around.

Are there any ideas out there how to prevent this from happening?
I lived in apartments for years that were invested with roaches.
Those buggers would get into VCR's, cordless phone bases, TV's, like anything that provided warmth or something.
I never found a solution to that other than not having the problem since moving to a house and keeping the place clean thanks to my dear wife

L8 Bug: Quantize value display

Is this a bug:
The new Piano Roll Editor displays the currently selected quantize value (FINALLY !) . In L7 you always had to click hold on the "Q" button to see it. That is all good.
BUT
if you use the key command to select the next or previous quantize value, that display doens't get updated and therefore displays the wrong value.
Example
1) Set the popup menu to 16th
2) Use the select previous quantize value key command
3) The popup menu still displays the 16th
4) When you open the popup menu, it has the correct 12th value selected.
Any confirmation on that?

I found the problem:
The "Link" button in the Mixer window affects what channel strips are displayed in Arrange mode:
*Arrange button + Link button on*: displays all tracks from the Arrange window minus the hidden tracks
*Arrange button + Link button off*: displays all tracks from the Arrange window regardless if they are hidden or not.
Although it works, I'm not sure if that is the most intuitive GUI solution for that feature.

Bug With HD Display

I have the new Yosemite on my iMac. There seems to be a bug in the new operating system. When I click on the apple in the upper left hand corner of the monitor screen and take a look at the graph and information about my HD Drive on my iMac, then the graph does not match the information displayed in writing; neither
do I have as much in the way of App software as displayed in the graph. Anyone else having this problem, too? Can the Apple Team of programmers repair this problem in the next update?

of “Context” has been selected for the display of numerals in the Office Advanced Options, the numerals display in Arabic instead of Persian. Pay close attention to numerals 4, 5, and 6. This bug did NOT exist in Microsoft Office 2010

Iphoto 6.0.6 bug? raw displays banding

Last night I imported a couple CF cards into iphoto that I took on my canon 20d and they display all funkay!
the image is covered with black and magenta horizontal stripes, and green ones too.
but wait! That's not all. it gets better. When I click in the image the colors change. sometimes more of the image gets colors on it. BUT! other times the image will go back to normal. how is that for Funky?!
this is iphoto 6.0.6 and osx 10.4.10. None of my previous RAW images were affected (those that I imported using iphoto 6.0.4). all of my images are canon RAW (cr2).
Has anyone seen or heard of this problem? or know how to revert back to iphoto 6.0.5?

do you still have the images on your cf card?
try re-importing one of the cards and see what happens.
sounds weird... also try importing with the canon software instead of iphoto and let me know how you get on

BUG : FORMS not displaying values stored in FLOAT datatypes.

APEX 2.2.1.
Error occurs on both V9.2.0.4 and V10.2.
I'm working on a "report with form" combination and have been fighting a problem where the data entered into a form will save correctly and show in the report, but when you choose to edit the record to update it, the value will not display in the form at all.
I went round and round, and finally discovered that the problem had to do with the FLOAT datatype being used to store the data.
When creating a default "Report with Edit form" on the following two example tables, the form works correctly with SLA_SCHEDULE2 but not with SLA_SCHEDULE1

This allows you to call the function ANYWHERE you use a FLOAT, without having to create one function per table/column you might need to use it against.
I know that I could have used a 'USING' statement on the cursor to do the replacements, but I always find it easier to debug replacement values using the REPLACE function.

Bug report : Navigator display wrong messages in package body

Just run some code , you can see the Navigator display wrong messages in the package body,but the package work fine in sqlplus / toad or other tools.

As I understand it, it is related to the parser that SQL Developer is using to display the package decomposition in the navigator not coping with the full PL/SQL and SQL syntax (largely analytical functions from memory).

Bug/Confusion - Item Display as hidden - Substitution string #LABEL#

Hi,
If you create a validation on an "item display as hidden", the substitution string #LABEL# inside the error message won't be replaced by the item's label (because it doesn't exists).
Example: "#LABEL#" must have some value.

Why not:
"Agencies providing &P99_SHORT_DESC. in ZIP &ZIPCODE."
If that doesn't work for you, I suggest putting an example on apex.oracle.com which will be easier to debug.

Safari/Windows: "Grow" button bug with multiple displays

I have two displays, the secondary is 1600x1200.
If I have a S/w window in the secondary, then click the top right "grow" button (zoom window to full) the window zooms off-screen, only the left chrome is seen. To get it back I have to open a second window, right lick the taskbar Safari Group icon, then choose tile horizontally.

I also have two displays running on XP. Both monitors are Samsung SyncMaster 940Bs at 1280x1024.
I am having a similar problem - Safari zooms off screen on my secondary monitor when i try to maximise the window . Nothing I do seems to be able to coax it back!
Any suggestions?

Weather Widget bug: doesn't display full city name initially

I have a brand-new Mac Mini.
The weather widget is configured incorrectly if you go through the default set-up process for Philadelphia.
I went through the standard Mac OS X first-time setup, telling it my location (Philadelphia, USA). This pre-configured my time zone correctly for east coast, but for some reason pre-configured my weather widget for Philadelphia, NY (instead of the MUCH more likely Philadelphia, PA).
BUT it just said "Philadelphia" on the widget, and in the widget settings, so it looked correct... it took me a week to figure out why the weather data was always so wrong. It was just on a whim that I tried re-entering the location in the settings (even though it appeared to be correct.)
Really, it should be smart enough to assume the larger city, but at the very least the widget should have displayed "Philadelphia, NY" in the settings instead of just "Philadelphia".

I can't help with a fix but I can confirm seeing the same behavior, not only with the 'snow' image but with others. It is very erratic: sometimes the city name underlines & I get the hand pointer on mouse overs, sometimes no underline but the hand pointer, sometimes nothing but a flicker of the hand that reverts to the arrow as soon as the pointer comes to a stop over the name.
Worse, this seems to have little to do with the ability to click through to the web page. Sometimes there is no visual pointer change or underline cue but the link is live; other times it isn't.
Try this: Cmd-option-clicking on the weather graphic icon cycles through all the graphics & changes the location to "Nowhere." Cute, but sometimes "Nowhere" sticks as the location the next time Dashboard is displayed, sometimes not. Other anomolies have been noted in other threads, too.
Bottom line is I think the weather widget isn't very sophistocated & is easy to confuse.

BUG: Keyframe Curve Display in Effects Controls Panel Broken

I noticed a bug a while back. Hope it would have been fixed by now, but it's not so I'm here reporting it. I can't remember if I was having the same problem before the 2014.2 update, but I know it wasn't a problem in earlier versions of Premiere Pro CC.
Add a keyframe to an audio layer
Add a second keyframe to the audio layer, and adjust the levels
Convert one of the keyframes to an Ease or Bezier keyframe
Watch as the graphic that should show you the curve flatlines
Here's an example image. I have Windows 8.1 scaling on, so everything is %150 bigger in this graphic, but I was having this bug before on my 1080p monitor (at 100% scaling), so I can promise is has nothing to do with that.
Legend:
Red is what I currently see
Green is what I'd expect to see
Functionally, the bezier curve does appear to affect what I'm applying it to. So the only problem that I can see here is that the grey graphical representation of the curve is wrong.
Is anyone else able to reproduce this? On Mac? Windows? Etc...

Bug: thumbnails not displaying on library grid view

Since using v1.0 the thumbnails will not display on the grid view (there is simply a grid of empty grey squares which can be clicked on). All beta versions worked fine. I started a new library with no improvement. All other screens work as expected. Using Windows XP SP2. Any ideas?

joel, I'm experiencing the same issue - the thumbnails start to appear but once they get to the point where they would be fully loaded, they disappear. I used beta as well, and that worked perfectly fine. Just sent in a ticket to the customer support at adobe, hopefully they can help with a solution. I'm only running the trial version of lightroom.
