BUG: JDeveloper 11G - \" inside string

Hi!
Taste the difference:
+<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"+
+"http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">+
+<%@ page contentType="text/html;charset=windows-1251"%>+
+<html>+
+ <head>+
+ <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1251"/>+
+ <title>test</title>+
+ </head>+
+<% String s=true?"onload=('top.location.replace(\"test.jsp\");')":""; %>;+
+ <body <%=true?"onload=('top.location.replace(\"{color:#ff0000}_test.jsp\");')":""_{color}%>>+
+ </body>+
+</html>+
Why JDeveloper editor show error on second variant?

Hi the stings seems identical to me. However, the code seems kind of malfunctioning to ma anyway
<% String s=true?"onload=('top.location.replace(\"test.jsp\");')":""; %>;
this is no comparison. You assign the value true to the String s. To use the notation you want, this would have been a check for equality "=="
<%=true?
What is "true" ? Is it a variable you defined ? The directive you use is one where you assign values to a variable

  • Blog post : "Bug in Create/Edit View Criteria Wizard (JDeveloper 11g)"

    hi
    Using steps 1 to 13 from the blog post "Bug in Create/Edit View Criteria Wizard (JDeveloper 11g)" by Andrejus Baranovskis, I have been able to reproduce the issue he describes.
    see http://andrejusb.blogspot.com/2008/12/bug-in-createedit-view-criteria-wizard.html
    I the blog post comments he writes "... there was no time for me to fill bug in Metalink ...".
    Maybe someone from Oracle can pick it up from this forum post and file it as a bug if it is one (and if possible post the bug number here).
    many thanks
    Jan Vervecken

    The mechanism is to create a reproduceable test case, create a Service Request in metalink.oracle.com, post the test case, and convince the analyst to file it as a bug.
    It may be not efficient at some time, but this the way it is handled.

  • Toplink Missing  Mapping  - Jdeveloper 11g BUG-

    Hi ,
    I am generating two entities using JDeveloper 11g both Tables has 280 columns, I am using "entities from tables" wizard.
    For the first table it is generating the proper meta data like this one:
    @Id
    @Column(name="CLIENT_ID_DWH", nullable = false)
    private String clientIdDwh;
    @Id
    @Column(nullable = false)
    private String effectivefromdate;
    @Column(nullable = false)
    private String effectivetodate;
    @Column(name="HEDAAB_TXBRONC_DATE")
    private Timestamp hedaabTxbroncDate;
    @Column(name="HEDAAB_TXBRONC_EFFDT")
    private String hedaabTxbroncEffdt;
    @Column(name="HEDAAB_TXBRONC_QUAL")
    private String hedaabTxbroncQual;
    @Column(name="HEDAAB_TXBRONC_RCVD")
    private Long hedaabTxbroncRcvd;
    @Column(name="HEDAAB_TXBRONC_REASON")
    private String hedaabTxbroncReason;
    @Column(name="HEDAAB_TXBRONC_REQ")
    private Long hedaabTxbroncReq;
    @Column(name="HEDADD01_ADHDINIT_DATE")
    private Timestamp hedadd01AdhdinitDate;
    @Column(name="HEDADD01_ADHDINIT_EFFDT")
    private String hedadd01AdhdinitEffdt;
    @Column(name="HEDADD01_ADHDINIT_QUAL")
    private String hedadd01AdhdinitQual;
    @Column(name="HEDADD01_ADHDINIT_RCVD")
    private Long hedadd01AdhdinitRcvd;
    @Column(name="HEDADD01_ADHDINIT_REASON")
    private String hedadd01AdhdinitReason;
    @Column(name="HEDADD01_ADHDINIT_REQ")
    For the second table it is generating the following meta data for exampe:
    @Id
    @Column(nullable = false)
    private String clientiddwh;
    @Id
    @Column(nullable = false)
    private String cycle;
    @Id
    @Column(nullable = false)
    private String cyclemod;
    private Long hedisadhdmedfollowupinitiald;
    private String hedisadhdmedfollowupinitialdt;
    private Long hedisadhdmedfollowupinitialn;
    private String hedisadhdmedfollowupinitialop;
    private String hedisadhdmedfollowupinitialqu;
    private Long hedisadhdmedfolupcontd;
    private String hedisadhdmedfolupcontdt;
    private Long hedisadhdmedfolupcontn;
    private String hedisadhdmedfolupcontop;

    private Long hedisadolwellcarevisitsd;
    private String hedisadolwellcarevisitsdt;
    private Long hedisadolwellcarevisitsn;
    private String hedisadolwellcarevisitsop;
    This is totally not understandable, what is going on?
    A.B

    Hello,
    You might want to post this in the JDeveloper forums. For the second class, it just looks like the column names haven't been put into the generated class. This is only a problem if the defaulted column names would not match what is in the database - ie @Id String clientiddwh will default to use the "CLIENTIDDWH" field. Does this match what is in the table?
    Best Regards,
    Chris

  • Oracle JDeveloper 11g Handbook: A Guide to Fusion Web Development

    I remember OTN threads somebody want to know about any books on JDeveloper 11g. Here's one published by Osborne ORACLE Press Series.
    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0071602380/wwwavromroyfa-20

    I studied related threads.
    WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR GETTING THIS BUG FORMALLY IDENTIFIED
    AND RESOLVED ?
    I searched this forum for " Handbook Associations" this year and found
    there is a related thread...
    " Associations and View Links missing in JDeveloper 11.1.1.3 and 11.1.1.4 "
    MARCH 2010
    Associations and View Links missing in JDeveloper 11.1.1.3 and 11.1.1.4
    ( status = unanswered )
    Then I searched this forum for " Handbook Associations" LAST YEAR and found
    there is a related thread...
    " Problem creating associations "
    JANUARY 2010
    Problem creating associations
    ( status = unanswered )
    " NO Links or Associations created with the "Business Components From Tables "
    SEPTEMBER 2009...

    ( status = answered ) but they are using JDeveloper 11.1.1.1.0
    "I can't believe it, but I figured out what it is.
    At step 6, you said "Defined a new connection for TEST in the wizard".
    So, I've stopped using an IDE Connection, and I've defined a new one
    for my specific project.
    And it worked.
    Now I have all the links and associations in place. "
    "Perhaps what you really have is an application connection pointing to some wrong version of the test schema? "
    " I am also getting that issue with the Fusion Order Demo schema.
    If I try to create ADF BC for a master detail relation (Orders and OrderItems) from
    a connection previously defined at the IDE level, it does not import the foreign key and the association.
    If I create the connection during the Create ADF BC wizard then everything comes in fine ".
    " Just to report that when I created second connection during the wizard, associations were picked up.
    Note that in previous run, it did not pick up PKs (it used ROWID instead), in addition to associations.
    I think that this should be a bug. "
    " I spent hours and hours trying to figure out why no View Links nor Associations were appearing.
    Finally I found your clue: create a new JDBC connection from inside the Wizard.
    This is a really bad bug - every newbie will encounter it as they follow the HR or the FOD tutorials !
    Many thanks for taking the time to publish your clue. Much appreciated. "
    So, this forum thread identified and reproduced the issue and
    then failed to create a bug report.
    It seems this bug was never resolved, yet the thread's status was changed to "answered".
    Is the bug with the Handbook / book (or wwww.tuhra.com erratta) for failing to tell us to delete
    the database connection and (re)create a new database connection ?
    Or is the bug with JDeveloper JDBC Connections ?
    Of course I will try to workaround the problem as desribed above and I am
    likely to proceed.
    However, for bugs to be left open for 19 MONTHS is really really bad for all of us.
    WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR GETTING THIS BUG FORMALLY IDENTIFIED
    AND RESOLVED ?

  • Jdeveloper 11g mysql always autocommits

    Hello,
    I've just now started using jdeveloper for some of my projects and am really liking it so far, especially with svn integration. I'm using the 11g production (11.1.1.0.0) version on Fedora Linux 8 and java jdk 1.6.0_06.
    I use mysql (version 5.0) quite a bit and have set up mysql connections according to http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/howtos/10g/MySql/MySQL_and_BC_HowTo.html . I can connect fine and everything seems to be working fine as far as selects. However it appears that autocommit is ALWAYS on. I've checked under tools->preferences->Database->Worksheet Parameters and the autocommit is unchecked. Everytime I click rollback I get an error that says "Can't rollback when autocommit=true" "Vendor code 0". I've tried modifying data and just executing a rollback statement (without clicking the button) and that does not work either; it does not even give an error message.
    When I connect using sqldeveloper to the same database, using the same jdbc library, everything works as expected. I've even imported my connections from sqldeveloper to jdeveloper to see there was something extra that I was missing on the connect string, but it still didn't work.
    It looks like enough of sqldeveloper is integrated into jdeveloper 11g that I would love to start using just one tool for everything, but there are still some minor problems with how jdeveloper handles mysql connections, this one being at the top of the list.
    Has anyone else run into this?
    Do I have something not set up correctly?
    If not, Is there a workaround?

    I've found that if I use the mysql driver that is bundled with the jdevstudio.jar file, then I can rollback.
    (wlserver_10.3/server/ext/jdbc/mysql/mysql-connector-java-commercial-5.0.3-bin.jar)
    When I use the one installed by fedora (mysql-connector-java.jar) then I cannot rollback. I feel this is a bug because that driver works fine on sqldeveloper, but I can work around it.

  • How to get multiple out parameters from a pl/sql stored procedure in ADF Jdeveloper 11g release2

    I´m trying to call from AppModuleImpl a stored procedure from my oracle DB which receives one input parameter and returns 5 out parameters.
    I´m using jdeveloper 11g release2  ADF and I have created a java bean "ProRecallPlatesBean " with the atributes and accesors and I serialize it. just like in this article http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24382_01/web.1112/e16182/bcadvgen.htm#sm0297
    This is my code so far:
    public ProRecallPlatesBean getCallProRecallPlates(String numPlates) {
    CallableStatement st = null;
    try {
              // 1. Define the PL/SQL block for the statement to invoke
              String stmt = "begin CTS.Pk_PreIn.proRecallPlates(?,?,?,?,?,?); end;";
              // 2. Create the CallableStatement for the PL/SQL block
              st = getDBTransaction().createCallableStatement(stmt,0);
              // 3. Register the positions and types of the OUT parameters

    In Jdeveloper I went into AppModule.xml JAVA>Client Interface section and expose "getCallProRecallPlates" Then I can see "getCallProRecallPlates" in Data Controls, I drag and drop it to a JSF page, an input text component and a button are generated in order to put in there the procedure input parameter (numPlates).
    I don't know if I'm on the right track.
    When I click the button, the "result" variable is supposed to be filled with data from the stored procedure. I want each of those values to be displayed in Output text or input text adf components but I dont know how. Thank you very much in advance I´m a newbie and i'll appreciate your help!

    What version are you on?
    Works fine for me on my 11g:
    SQL> create or replace procedure testxml (clob_out out clob)
      2  is
      3     l_clob   clob;
      4     l_ctx    dbms_xmlquery.ctxhandle;
      5  begin
      6     l_ctx := dbms_xmlquery.newcontext ('select * from dual');
      7     l_clob := dbms_xmlquery.getxml (l_ctx);
      8     clob_out := l_clob;
      9     dbms_xmlquery.closecontext (l_ctx);
    10  end testxml;
    11  /
    Procedure created.
    SQL>
    SQL> variable vout clob;
    SQL>
    SQL> exec testxml (:vout)
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    SQL>
    SQL> print vout
    VOUT
    <?xml version = '1.0'?>
    <ROWSET>
       <ROW num="1">
          <DUMMY>X</DUMMY>
       </ROW>
    </ROWSET>But definitely you can optimize your proc a bit: Try
    create or replace procedure testxml (clob_out in out nocopy clob)
    is
       l_ctx    dbms_xmlquery.ctxhandle;
    begin
       l_ctx := dbms_xmlquery.newcontext ('select * from dual');
       clob_out := dbms_xmlquery.getxml (l_ctx);
       dbms_xmlquery.closecontext (l_ctx);
    end testxml;

    Hi,
    I think this is more a SUN issue as an installer issue as I take it from the message you get. Anyway, best recommandation I can give is to work with customer support on tracing down the issue

  • JDeveloper 11g: How to get all the rows of a database table from applicatio

    Hello all!
    I'm developing a application with JDeveloper 11g, like subject show.
    So, I'm suppose to use some data which are in database table.
    So, I had the View Object where I want take data, to the datamodel.
    And after this, I use this next line in my serviceClass.java:
    public String method(){
            String truc = null;
            getViewName().setRangeSize(-1);
            getViewName().setRangeStart(0);
            getViewName().executeQuery();
    //I do my treatment here
    return truc
    }When the application run, it stop just before the line "getViewName().setRangeSize(-1);"
    So, I think it is the locking point.
    Someone can help me.
    Thank's
    Nystan

    Hi,
    1. You work with a application module class and not in a plain old java object? So you create a application module or only a view object?
    2. If you work with a application module class. Can you switch on a bit of logging? To set the system debug output property, open the Run/Debug/Profile page in the Project Properties dialog for your data model project. Click Edit to edit the chosen run configuration, and add following string to the Java Options field in the page.
    -Djbo.debugoutput=console -Djbo.adflogger.level=FINE
    maybe you can see the error.
    Best regards

  • JCA DBAdapter configuration using JDeveloper 11g

    hello,
    I cannot create correct wsdl files for the jca WSDL-based business service :-(
    I try to use JCA dbAdapter in OSB 10.3.1
    following guideliness from
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/jcatransport/transport.html
    and
    OSB DBAdapter Demo (but it refers to JDev 10gR3 :-( which allows creation of DBAdapter component)
    in Jdev 11g, I can create such components only inside SOA project
    and no bindings are generated inside the wsdl (they are in composite.xml)
    is there a way to automatically use the wizard to create the correct wsdl (or I have to write it on my own)
    thanx in advance
    regards

    Hi Yannis,
    You can use the DB Adapter created with JDeveloper 11g on OSB 11g.
    The only difference from OSB/JDev 10g is that you will import a JCA file (along with WSDL and its dependencies) from JDev 11g into OSB 11g.
    Then you just need to right click on the JCA file and select 'Oracle Service Bus / Generate Service' and OEPE will automatically create the business service and the respective wsdl.
    Hope it helps.

    Rodrigo

  • How To create ADF Search form in JDeveloper 11g 11.1.1.0.1

    Hi,
    I am using JDeveloper 11g 11.1.1.0.1 , in which i tried creating an ADF search form that has Find and Execute Buttons.
    I created the same ADF search form using JDeveloper 11g TP3 and TP4 wherein it works fine but not in JDeveloper 11g 11.1.1.0.1.
    Scenario....
    I dragged a read only view object on to the jspx page as ADF Search Form and dragged the same as Read only table.
    After doing this if i run the application the search functionality does not happen .
    ( I click on the find button and enter the condition and then click on the execute button. records does not get filtered based on that condition specified.)
    But when the same steps is done in 11g TP3 and TP4 the search functionalty works fine.
    Can someone suggest me what is the issue.
    Is this a bug in the new release.
    regards
    vinitha
