Bugreport: Apex 4.2.1 - APEX_040200.ORACLE_APEX_MAIL_QUEUE

Hi all
I am using apex 4.2 linux oc4j 11gr2
I've given end user instruction how to reset their passwords. But for some reason they get this error
APEX_040200.ORACLE_APEX_MAIL_QUEUE
When I go into instance setting to see the error ,there is no error, when i press force send all , it sends all the mail stuck in queue.
Has anyone encounter this issue.
Is this a bug in 4.2.1???
thanks
Neel

Unfortunately we are not using Apache server.
you said " we are using oc4j ! its coming in application server(AS) commonly called apache.  you are using may be Weblogic server?
I'd like to know how these images have anything to do with email?
yes we can send the image over the email body/content anything.
where these images in apex?

  • Bugreport: Apex 4.2.1 Button 'Return to application' doesn't return to app

    Hi there,
I think there is a bug, when searching for a page number that doesn't exist in the application (e.g. typing error).
When you edit a page and enter a page number where the page doesn't exist (that means in Field "go_to_page"), the error "Error processing condition. ORA-01403: no data found" appears correctly, but with button 'Return to application' you don't come back to the application.
The same behavior is when you enter a non-existing page number in "Search Application" (P0_SEARCH) on the overview page of an application
    e.g. http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/
    WS: uBrennerDemo
    demo/demo
    Application: 61765 (Demo01)
    go to page: 5
    Regards Uli

    I get this a lot - it's frustrating!

Having multiple APEX_0% users suggests your database has originally started with APEX 4.0 and has been upgraded as subsequent versions are released (4.1.x, 4.2.x).
These accounts should be removed, as per the installation guide.
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E37097_01/doc/install.42/e35123/otn_install.htm#CBHBABCC
Your current APEX owner would be APEX_040200, and you should be reading documentation pertinent to your APEX version.

any idea please?Yes. Read what Scott wrote again. You still have custom error handling in place which is throwing a way too generic message.
From the backtrace it would seem that there is an error occuring in a validation and if you're debugging then you should be able to see what validation is causing this problem. It could be as simple as trying to do a TO_NUMBER on some characters.
But try and disable your custom error handling so you can properly debug this.

  • After upgrade to Apex 4.2.1, login to old workspace results in 404

I have made an upgrade to Apex 4.2.1 from Apex 4.1 runtime.
(Upgrade completed successfully no errors encountered.)
I had an installed app which I cannot use now.
Login to apex_admin is possible, so I've created developer users in the existing workspace.
    Developer users get
404 - Not found error when logging in to the workspace, with
    http://mysrv:8080/apex/wwv_flow.acceptin the address line.
It is apparent in the DB that the existing application has been copied to apex_040200 DB schema.
Same error is displayed when navigating to the app's login page, say http://mysrv:8080/apex/f?p=123:1
I use GlassFish Server Open Source Edition 3.1.1.
After upgrading Apex Listener to 2.0.1 (from 1.1.3), nothing has changed except that
404 appears in white over a blue background stripe.
Under / Monitor Activity / Login Attempts, there are only Incorrect Password entries
However, after creating a new WS, I can log into it.
Is there a way to use to WS and APP created in the older Apex version 4.1 ?

Under apex_admin, among all workspace requests, I first had to deselect status = 1,
then my workspace has appeared in the list with status "-". After clicking on Adjust,
status "Terminated" appeared, who knows why.
Since I changed workspace status to Approved, login is working.
    Questions:
1/ How comes that status "Terminated" was not shown on the existing workspaces list?
2/ What leads to the Terminated status, while the app was reachable before upgrade to 4.2.1?
While App builder is appearing nice, my app has lost its design.
3/ Where are images looked up? Do I need to reference glassfish docroot/i in i.war for Apex Listener 2.0.1? (I referred to apex install dir as indicated in the installation manual)
4/ My custom login page starts with this error. Even after I log out of the builder. Is this normal?
Attempt to save item P101_LANGUAGE in session state during show processing.
Item protection level indicates "Item may be set when accompanied by a "session" checksum.".
No checksum was passed in or the checksum passed in would be suitable
for an item with protection level "Item has no protection.".
Note: End users get a different error message

  • Page copy in Apex 4.2

    Hi,
I'm receiving an error while copying a page in Apex 4.2 to a different Apex 4.2 installation: "integrity constraint (APEX_040200.WWV_FLOW_STEP_UI_FK) violated - parent key not found."
This is due to a different user_interface_id, a problem similar to the one in this thread: Re: Copy Page between Applications but the suggested solution doesn't apply. We have multiple Apex installations with basically the same application. We need to copy new versions of the same page to all installations. We have hoped that the same workspace_id will save us from editing the exported file, but this new parameter forces us to do so. This is, of course, tiresome and unnecessary.
Is there any way to set the applications' user_interface_id to make it the same on different Apex installations?
    Thanks.

I'm having the issue. Have you found a solution.(other than editing the export file)

Further to the above post, I thought I'd simplify my Apex Listener install just to see if I can connect to it via SQL Developer
So downloaded the latest version 2.0.8 and decided to configure and run the Listener on my pc whilst still connecting to the same database.
Operating system : Window 7 Pro 64 bit
    Oracle Apex Listener 2.0.8
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_25-b17)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.25-b01, mixed mode)
Went through the configuration as above, once started I tried again to access the listener via SQL Developer. This time I received this output from the listener:
INFO: Error: ORA-02291: integrity constraint (APEX_040200.WWV_FLOW_RT$APPROVALS_SGID_FK) violated - parent key not found, occurred during execution of: [CALL, insert into wwv_flow_rt$approvals (user_name,status,client_id,security_group_id,created_by,created_on,updated_by,updated_on) values(/*in:user_id*/?,/*in:status*/?,/*in:client_id*/?,/*in:tenant_id*/?,upper(/*in:user_id*/?),/*in:created*/?,upper(/*in:user_id*/?),/*in:created*/?), [tenant_id, in, class java.math.BigInteger], [client_id, in, class java.math.BigInteger], [user_id, in, class java.lang.String], [status, in, class oracle.dbtools.rt.oauth.ApprovalRequest$Status], [created, in, class java.sql.Timestamp]]with values: [adminlistener, APPROVED, 3858401374580004, -1, adminlistener, 2014-06-23 12:19:18.785, adminlistener, 2014-06-23 12:19:18.785]
SQL Developer responded with an Authentication Failed titled dialog with the following displayed in the body of the dialog

  • Apex_util.prepare_url from PL/SQL (outside APEX)

    Hello there,
I have to create a job that sends emails with a link to a page with SSP actived and that requires authentification.
I've read those threads from Dan and Omar and I wonder if this is still possible in APEX 4.2.1?
    Re: apex_util.prepare_url outside of ApEx
Create APEX session context from outside APEX (plsql)
My procedure generate the link with the checksum, but when I try to access the page I got an error :

  • APEX on Oracle XE PDF printing produces: Format error: not a PDF or corrupted.

Dear fellow Apexers and Oracle Gurus,
    I have the following configuration:
    Oracle XE 11gR2
    APEX 4.2.3.00.08
    Listener 2.0.5
On this setup I can create workspaces and applications as I please.
Now I want to print a PDF report.
I have set up PDF printing to "Oracle Listener" in the "manage Instance" settings in the instance administration.
I have created a classical report on the EMPLOYEES table (Select * from EMPLOYEES)
and enabled PDF printing in the "Printing" area of the "Print Attributes" of the page.
When I run the page I do get the "print" link on the bottom of the page.
Clicking the link does produce a .PDF but showing this file triggers an error in my PDF reader: Format error: not a PDF or corrupted.
Opening the .PDF file in a text editor reveals the corrupt content.
    %PDF-1.4
    %ª«¬
    Unknown function: gatherContextInfo
The same setup works fine and produces the expected PDF file with the report on the following configuration:
    Oracle Vbox with Developer days image;
    DB 11gR2
    Upgraded to apex 4.2.3.00.08
    Listener 2.0.5
Since the PDF shows "unknown function" I suspected the XE configuration to lack some of the necessary rights, maybe I forgot to configure the ACLs correctly.
So I compared the ACL info on both configurations. Alas,.. on both machines they return the same result..
    SQL> SELECT * FROM DBA_NETWORK_ACLS
    HOST         LOWER_PORT    UPPER_PORT    ACL
    localhost    null          null           /sys/acls/local-access-users.xml
    *            null          null           /sys/acls/power_users.xml
    SQL> select * from dba_network_acl_privileges
    ACL                                  PRINCIPAL      PRIVILEGE   IS_GRANT    INVERT
    /sys/acls/local-access-users.xml     APEX_040200    connect     true        false
    /sys/acls/power_users.xml            APEX_040200    connect     true        false
Anyone any idea why this works fine on the Vbox and not on the local XE configuration?
Any hint or answer as to where the problem might be is appreciated
    TIA
    Wouter

I'm having the same issue. I'm using Oracle XE 11gR2 as well. I've tried with APEX 4.2.2 and APEX 4.2.4. I have set up the Oracle Listener in instance settings and set the report to print and I have the same result as you. Have you had any progress yet?
    Thanks
    Jason

    Try using:
    sys.htp.p('test');
Not sure why the synonym to HTP is referencing a HTP procedure owned by OAS10GR2 (OAS10GR2.HTP).
    Did your upgrade complete successfully?

You seem to be getting an error on your workspace id, I'm guessing you tried to create it manually first.
So instead of creating a new workspace you need to do an update of your manually created workspace.
That's ok you can create it manually first, Ill describe here how you can update it.
First go to the view APEX_WORKSPACES in your APEX 4.1 schema in the database. Find out what the workspace ID is in your database.
Copy the ID and then open your workspace sql file (that you import).
    Go to the line:
    begin
    wwv_flow_api.set_security_group_id(p_security_group_id=>XXXXX);
    end;
Replace XXX with your workspace id.
    Import the file.
