Build doesn't create WSP package.

Hi,
Any ideas what to check when VS2012 build doesn't create WSP package? No errors received while building. Publish works normally.
99% sure that at some point simply building a solution created WSP package to output folder.

By design, if you build the SharePoint project, it just generate
.dll and .pdb file in the output folder.
In Visual Studio 2010 there is a special option "Package" in context menu of program project to generate
.wsp file.
Nowadays, there is no such in Visual Studio 2012, but we can use Publish
instead.
Here is another solution that we can create a Solution Package for a single SharePoint 2013 project.

I found something.
"simply building does not create a package. Try Project -> Package -> create package.

By the way, simply adding the quotes around the lexical names in the sql statement doesn't work. That causes the lexical references to be ignored as simple string values:

FROM dualI turned on statement-level debugging via xdodebug.cfg and saw how it compiled the lexicals. By replicating the call to apps.fnd_flex_xml_publisher_apis.kff_segments_metadata that I found there, I was able to hack together a workaround for this issue.
Please point me to a better way of doing this if possible, as I had to GRANT EXECUTE on this apps package to my custom code schema. Is there a better lexical/flexfields reference than the XML Publisher documentation?

Creating a package from Github source and install instructions

hello
I've read that the correct way to install things is to make a package from source if it's not in a repository.

I copied /usr/share/pacman/PKGBUILD.proto into the source directory but was having difficulty getting it to work.
I've actually just done make clean; make like it says in the instructions since I was thinking it's not installing anything (since it's not "make install").
It seems to have changed a few things in /usr/local/include...
I guess I'd like help creating the package,
and possibly undoing what I did with make clean; make.

Tidal itself does not have a Makefile (except for its docs), so I suppose you’re talking about Dirt’s makefile. From what I can see it shouldn’t touch /usr/local/include or anything outside the build directory as long as you don’t run “make install”.
Arch doesn’t put anything in /usr/local anyway, as far as I know, so you can probably easily see if Tidal or Dirt put something in there…
It might be easier for you to first build Dirt and Tidal manually and then make a PKGBUILD once you know the different steps required.

then u get a pop up asking to create package. Click yes. then u get a pop up Package Builder: Create package

Inteface Builder doesn't show up, first app ever

Hi guys, I created my first iPhone app ever, I tried, OSX 10.6 and Xcode 3.2, I tried to follow some tutorials but I failed on all of them because when I double click the .xib files Interface Builder doesn't show up to customize the interface, what could be the issue?

What does happen when you double-click on of those files? This may not be related to your problem, but when you do a Finder "Get Info" on one, what do you see for "Open with"?

[SOLVED] How to create uncompressed packages

Is there a way to convince makepkg to create uncompressed packages. I often tweak an official package or build from one the AUR and it takes a lot of time to compress the package that will be immediately uncompressed for installation. I would like sometimes to be able to create uncompressed packages (just tar-ed packages).

Looks like PKGEXT='.pkg.tar' does the trick. Gzip compression is fast enough for me, so I use that.

What do you use to create distribution packages for ARD?
I.E. a package for installing the new Oracle Java 7.21 on all our machines.
Or, a package for installing Micosoft Office 14.3.2 udapters?
Specifically for 10.7 and 10.8 users.
Install Ease?
Jamf Composer?
Packages?
xCode PackageMaker?
Which one should I put my time into using?

Nicolas, Have you been able to get the Adobe Update to work? I get stopped at the first step, putting in the command-line to install the AUS2.0. I think we have a support Contract, i should probably just ask Adobe for assistance.
Does noboby create their own distributable packages? Maybe i'm looking at this wrong.
I see that even Microsoft puts their updates into a .pkg file that is pushable through ARD. Maybe most everyone else does?
I was able to get an Adobe Flash Player Distributable installer, from Adobe, you have to fill out a form asking for permission for the distributable installer, and they send you a link to the files.. ugh. but fine. I have the .pkg installer for Flash, and that works pushing out over ARD.

I guess my life would be great, if i can just get a Updater source for CS5.5 and CS6.
I did create the Adobe Package distribution for actually installing the CS6 over ARD. That works.
I have a licensing glitch on deploying new machine off a build that has CS6 on it. I'm able to get around the licensing glitch by using the Adobe Serialization tool, that's fine.
I guess i'm just looking for a CS6 Updates tool. I'm fine creating a CS6 updater package using InstallEase or something. I'm wondering what the best one is.
IF most everything already comes as a .pkg file nowadays, and it's just Adobe that's difficult. I guess there's not really a need to create .pkg files for anyone? So nobody really uses them?

I need to know how exactly to do the following:
Process
1) Create a product in SAP CRM.
2) Assign the product to a category.
3) You have previously assigned one of the following roles to the category in SAP CRM:
a) sales package
b) combined rate plan
c)rate plan
3) You must choose a category to which one of these roles is assigned, otherwise the system cannot treat the product accordingly when running the product configuration, and determining the assignment of products.
4) Assign groups to the product top node.
5) You can determine whether groups are optional or mandatory, and whether they should appear as default or not.
6) Assign products to the group or individually to the package product or product.
I would be very grateful if I am guided in details about steps 4,5 and 6 especially.

Maybe, I think that the purpose of style is to use it with SO10.
Therefore, it doesn't use it in SAP script.
SAP script copies with SE71 and changes.

Why to create a package ?

What is the advantages and the impact of using create a package with our classes ?

Suppose your building a large application using model-view-control, then you might have this package structure:
org.myorg.game.view
org.myorg.game.model
org.myorg.game.facade
This way you can seperate the view logic from the model logic. This means that the view package can't reach default access methods in facade. Thus there is a lower chance that the view package destroys something in the facade package..
You can also give different packages different permissions using a SecurityManager.

Enter Adobe Captivate 7 or Adobe Presenter 9 Serial Number :
It will validate the key and ask you about the details of Captivate 7 or Presenter 9 Package :
You can choose the product and components you want packaged
Once you click on “Build”, it will download and create the package for Adobe Captivate 7
Note : Adobe CCP 1.1 is available in LWS (Adobe Licensing Website) downloads.

Help please: Can't export Extension Builder 3 extension to ZXP package

The directions for exporting an extension from Extension Builder 3 to a ZXP package state:
Export your extension
To distribute your extension, you need to export it as a ZXP package that can be loaded and managed by the Adobe Extension Manager.
1. In the Eclipse Script Explorer view, right-click your project and choose Export > Adobe Extension Builder 3 > Application Extension. This displays the Export Wizard.
When I do step one, this is what I see. There is no Export>Adobe Extension Builder 3 option.
When I click "Export..." this is what I get. And this is not the correct Export Wizard according to the "Create Your Own HTML5 Extension In 5 Minutes" tutorial.
I can't figure out how to export an extension created in Extension Builder 3 to a ZXP package. Can anyone provide advice? Thanks.

The instructions aren't entirely clear if you haven't used Eclipse or Flash Builder before.
Go to File> Export...
and in that list you see in your second snapshot, expand folder "Adobe Extension Builder 3"
and inside there you will see the "Application Extension" option.
select it there.

I am trying to create a package for Captivate 8 that includes NeoSpeech voices

I am packaging Captivate 8 using Creative Cloud packager. I need to add the NeoSpeech voices to the package. I run the packager to build the package with the msi using our enterprise license which gives me the applications along with patches. There is nothing for NeoSpeech though and I need to include NeoSpeech with the msi.

In order to create msi package of Neo Speech Voices of Captivate 8, you have to use Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition 3.1 ( AAMEE 3.1 ).

Unable to create Policy packages - missing snapin

Product: Novell Small Business Suite 6 SP5 installed, ZFD sp3 installed.
When attempting to create policy packages I get the following message:
"There is not a snap-in to create this type of object. If you proceed and
use the generic object creator, the resultin object may not be useable."
This happens with Console One on the workstation as well as on the server.
Can anyone help? Any suggestions how to resolve this will be greatly
appreciated.
