Build executable error 200220 on Mac OS

I'm a beginner at labview and am hoping that someone with more experience would be able to spot this simple error I'm probably overlooking.  I'm trying to build an executable application on labview 8.6 for mac OS.  I created the project and created the application with my selected VI.  Everything in the build process went smoothly however when I try to run the application I get the "200220" error stating my device identifier is invalid however I made sure of the device name on LSDAQ and the channel I'm sampling is correct.  The other computer without labview that I am trying to run the application on does have the latest run time engine installed and the USB DAQ 6009 plugged in.  Thanks

Hey Mark,
Yes  both computers are  identical macbook pros.  The computer without the  labview program installed I have installed DAQmxbase 3.2 .  I  don't believe I am referencing any tasks.  Do you mind telling me under which tab of the application builder I can find the hardware settings function  I  haven't been able to find it.  Thanks a lot for your reply
Hi Jerry,
What DAQ drivers are you using? DAQmx Base I assume. Is the developement computer Mac OS as well?
In
your program do you reference any tasks that you created on a different
computer? If so you will need to transfer those tasks or channels to
the new computer as well. There is an option within the applications
builder to include hardware setting that should include the DAQmx tasks.
Here is a similar forum. Let me know if any of this sounds similar or provide more information if you can.

  • Error 1003 when building executable

Hi, I'm using Labview 2010 on Windows 7 and I'm getting an error when I try to build an executable:
Error 1003 occurred at Open VI Reference in AB_Engine_EXE_Call_Write_Icons.vi->AB_EXE.lvclass:Build.vi->AB_Build.lvclass:Build_from_Wizard.vi->AB_UI_Frmwk_Build.lvclass:Build.vi->AB_UI_FRAMEWORK.vi->AB_Create_Build_Application.vi->EBUIP_Global_OnCommand.vi->EBUIP_Global_OnCommand.vi.ProxyCaller
    Possible reason(s):
LabVIEW: The VI is not executable. Most likely the VI is broken or one of its subVIs cannot be located. Select File>>Open to open the VI and then verify that you are able to run it.
    VI Path: C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2010\vi.lib\Platform\icon.llb\Read Icons from ICO File.vi
This happens even when I try to build a simple vi, like a random number generator.

Same problem here. Error 1003 and error 8 I encoutered often.
For error 8 during build process, I needed to save the executable on a higher level in the file hierarchy.
For error 1003, I did not find a solution. Restarting LabView does not help. Sometimes (but not always) restarting the computer helps. Sometimes I need to reinstall the labview system.
More details: I have a first vi, starting the actual vi with a hidden front panel (second vi). This vi can also be started directly. Sometimes, the build process runs smoothly then  when I include the second vi as main vi to start the program.
The program runs fine when the build process succeeds, and it runs fine in LabView.

  • Error building executable

    Bonjour à tous,
Lorsque  je terminais ma semaine hier, j'ai voulu réaliser un dernier test sur un Touch Panel, mais lorsque j'ai voulu construire l'executable sous Labview 2009, celui ci m'a affiché cette erreur :
Error building executable. Unable to create file

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Hi,
Since you were able to run this successfully earlier, i would rule out the possibility of this being a BUG...
The second most likely cause is that, the payment document used by this payment process request is also being used in another payment process request which is in incomplete status....So, make sure there are no other payment process requests pending apart from this one ... either complete those or terminate those...
The Third cause is that, the payment document defined would have exhausted its sequence numbers, hence you should either increase the sequence or use a different payment document which has enough number of sequences available for generating checks...
By sequence i am referring to the number of check leafs...
If the above does not apply, then you would be better off logging a service request with oracle, as it could be something new which many are not aware of ...

  • Build installer error, help

    Hi all,
There's a problem need your help.
I have a LV8.5 PDS. And I create a exe, when I want to create a installer, I cannot found any information is "additional installer". When I try to build it, error reports as below.
    error information:
    CDK_Build_Invoke.vi.ProxyCaller >> CDK_Build_Invoke.vi >> CDK_Engine_Main.vi >> CDK_Engine_PreBuild.vi >> CDK_Validate_DistParts.vi >> CDK_DistParts_GetInstalledProducts.vi >> NI_MDF.lvlib:MDFProdInfoList_Open.vi
Before I reinstall my notebook, it worked.
    Thanks ahead.

    From the forum
The build specification for your installer may have been corrupted. Try the following to correct this:
Open up your project in the Project Explorer window and expand the Build Specifications tree.
Right-click all of the applications (executables) build specifications that are included in your installer and select Build to force each one to rebuild.
If all the executables build successfully, next right-click your installer's build specification and select Properties to change its configuration.
In the Category pane on the left, navigate to the Source Files category.
Find your executable (.exe) files on the right side and click it to select it. Press the Delete key or click the red X at the bottom of the window to remove the executable and its associated files from the build.
Re-add the executable and its files to the same folder by selecting the executable in the Project View pane and the proper folder in the Destination View pane (on Windows systems, this is typically ProgramFilesFolder\[your product name]), and clicking the blue arrow button in the middle of the window.
Repeat steps 5 and 6 for any other executables you have in your installer, as well as for any other files which show up in the ProgramFilesFolder path.
Your installer should now build successfully. If that does not work, try making a new installer build specification which has all of the same settings as the build specification which does not work. If the new installer builds properly, you can keep it and delete the old, corrupted specification.

  • "cannot execute" error

    Hi -
I know that you can get a "cannot execute" error when trying to run a SPARC binary on an x86 system or vice versa.
However, we have a customer reporting this error when running our SPARC binary on his SPARC system. Both systems are running Solaris 10, but have different processors and different Update levels.
    The binary is a 32-bit:
    starlic-admin: ELF 32-bit MSB executable SPARC32PLUS Version 1, V8+ Required,
built on our system, which is a SunBlade 1500 (UltraSPARC) system running Solaris 10 Update 7, I believe:
    uname -a
    SunOS host 5.10 Generic_139555-08 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Blade-1500
The customer is using a Fujitsu-Siemens SPARC system with Solaris 10 Update 3 (as near as I can tell):
    SunOS host1 5.10 Generic_125100-10 sun4us sparc FJSV,GPUZC-M
Should the difference in processors make a difference? Or the difference in Update levels? Is there some different way I should be building our binaries so they will run on the end user's system?
I am puzzled by the error - the customer also has a Solaris x86 machine (where he initially tried installing our software) so there is a possibility that he accidentally went back to the original machine, but I think that unlikely.

Using an older version of our product (built on Solaris 8 with a pretty old version of the Sun C/C++ compiler (Sun Studio 8) worked. Luckily there have been no major changes in our product, so it's OK for this customer to run an older version, but I'm still trying to figure this out for future support.
The old binaries are built as ELF 32-bit MSB dynamic lib SPARC Version 1.
I built hello.c on our Solaris 10 update 7 system in a bunch of ways (e.g. with xarch=v7, etc), and tried building both with the old compiler from Sun Studio 8 (which we still have installed) and with Sun Studio 12u1:
    /opt/SUNWspro/bin/cc hello.c -o oldv1
    /opt/SUNWspro/bin/cc -xarch=v8plus hello.c -o oldv8plus
    cc -xarch=v7 -o v7 hello.c
    cc -xarch=v8 -o v8 hello.c
    cc -xarch=generic -o generic hello.c
    cc -xarch=sparc -o sparc hello.c
    cc -xarch=v8plus -o v8plus hello.c
(oldv1: ELF 32-bit MSB executable SPARC Version 1)
    ( /usr/bin/cc -> /opt/sunstudio12.1/bin/cc)
and the customer gets the "can't execute" error for all of them - i.e. I can't figure out any way on our current system to build a binary that runs for this user.
So I'm thinking it's OS level rather than processor type. But I don't want to even suggest that the customer upgrade his OS unless I am 100% positive that it will resolve anything (and that it's the only solution).
Over in the HP-UX world, whenever there is an upgrade to a new version of the HP aCC compiler, there is a corresponding system patch for just the C and C++ runtimes - i.e. there is a single patch that you can specify in your end user system requirements. Perhaps there is something similar on Solaris? Guess it's time to dig deep into the documentation...

  • Language Problem when building executable

I'm having a weird issue when building executables.  Labview seems to forget the english language.  I have tried selecting English exclusively as the run time language but when i do that i get a "No supported languages installed!" error. Hello Jed394,
I took a look into the issue, just to be sure the error thrown was “No support Language Installed,” correct?  Check to see if the language of your operating system and the language LabVIEW is using is English.  If these are both English, then it looks like this is an error due to installation issues in the run-time engine.  Try to perform a repair by going through the install menu of LabVIEW.  The following link will help you with the repair: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/FE6B641E86E55AF2862576DE00038001?OpenDocument

  • SQL SP works, then throws 0x80040E14 after trying to build executable

I have test software in LabVIEW 2011 that logs results into our SQL Server database with a stored procedure.  Once I got it working consistently, I checked it into our Visual Sorce Safe.  It was working until I tried to build the software into an executable.  Upon trying to log results in the executable, I received the following -2147217900 error when trying to execute the stored procedure (the ati_sp_InsertProcedureRun stored procedure) to create the procedure run in the database:
    NI_Database_API.lvlib:Cmd Execute.vi->DBAccess.vi->AgilentQCTool.vi->ATIEOL.vi<ERR>ADO Error: 0x80040E14
Exception occured in Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server: Syntax error or access violation in NI_Database_API.lvlib:Rec Create - Command.vi->NI_Database_API.lvlib:Cmd Execute.vi->DBAccess.vi->AgilentQCTool.vi->ATIEOL.vi
What's really odd is that I began receiving this error in the development environment.  On multiple computers.  I have verified that the code is still the same as before; I pulled the VI from Source Safe, which predated the last time I successfully logged results.
I don't know if attempting to run as an executable was the precipitating event.  Around the same time, I attempted to solve a problem where the test software kept referring to VIs from the 2010 Database Connectivity Toolkit by uninstalling the 2010 Database Connectivity Toolkit and letting LabVIEW update the called VIs to the 2011 versions and saving.  I've also since tried repairing and then uninstalling and reinstalling the 2011 Database Connectivity Toolkit.
Attached is a standalone implementation of my database logging code, a little sanitized for proprietary information.  Has anyone encountered similar mysterious errors when changing from 2010 to 2011 or when building executables?  The code I'm using is the same, and IS assures me that there have been no changes to the database.
Thank you for any help or insight,
    John

    Hello,
So far I have been unable to see anything that gives me a lead as to what the problem could be.  For this I am sorry.I think both of us will have one of those face palm moments.
I have a question and comment for you,  does the Code still work on the original computer?
Second,  I think it would help if you compiled a version of code with the ability to highlight execution. after being installed as an executable.  Try running the executable (in highlight mode) on the other computers and see where it breaks.
Could you also send me a version of your code in Highlight execution mode?
As for me I downloaded your code and I was unable to get it to even run on my computer.

  • Publish error - error determining the .Mac publish configuration values

I have been unable to publish a website refresh for the past 2 weeks (not since the first time I tried). When I attempt to publish, it hangs at the "preparing to publish" window and then gives the error message "There was an error determining the .Mac publish configuration values. Please try again in a few minutes." It does not then release this error window to close until it pops open another window telling me how many days I have left on my trial .mac account. It has the correct number of days so I assume that it is communicating with the .mac server at some level. My internet connection is via satellite. This is my only option as I am shipboard. Update: I was able to able to connect via cable recently and, much to my surprise (and frustration), everything posted fine. I have the most recent updates for all software including iWeb running on a MacBook 2GHz, 2GB ram and 28GB free harddisk(iWeb 1.1.2 and OS X 10.4.8 build 8L2127 ). My internet connectivity is fine for other applications and for other aspects of iWeb. The primary reason I purchased the MacBook was to use the iWeb and its publishing capability. I note from other threads that this is an established problem with iWeb and satellite internet connections. Has there been any reliable fix established for this problem? The last thread I could find was last summer (and nothing from Apple), seemingly enough time for Apple (or the creative members of AppleNation) to address it. Given the high cost and sporadic reliability of shipboard internet, I'm hoping to use .mac to host site because of the incremental update capability. If there hasn't been a reliable fix determined, can anyone recommend a hosting site/method that does work reliably with iWeb and a satellite internet connection. I'm completely in the dark how this would work. This is my first website experience.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. I already sent out the .mac website in my Christmas letter so I'm fairly commited (but could recover, if unworkable)
    Thanks mucho!
MacBook 2GHz, 2GB   Mac OS X (10.4.8)   shipboard satellite internet connection

Now that would be cool...if we could figure out how to tell iWeb to be a little more patient with network latency! From all the reports here, it seems that if anything, iWeb has gotten more stringent in its network latency tolerance over the various little updates.
I personally use .Mac for my iWeb hosting right now... But you are right... if you could find some alternate place to host your iWeb pages, then you can use any FTP program to do the uploading.... and maybe be more successful from the shipboard internet access.
You might take a look at some of the free webhosts available... http://www.free-webhosts.com/ I have had pretty good experience with http://www.hostfreeweb.com/.

This is an known issue in SSRS 2008 R2 SP3 that Microsoft has published an article addressing this issue. It is not planning to release a fix for this issue. But we could implement one of the following workarounds:
Install and run Report Builder 3.0 of SQL Server 2008 R2 RTM.
Install and run Report Builder of SQL Server 2014.
Uninstall Service Pack 3 then uninstall Service Pack 2 and then reinstall Service Pack 3.
    Reference:
Report Builder of SQL Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 3 does not launch
    Thank you for your understanding.
    Best Regards,
    Wendy Fu

  • I get a Pre-execute error message when importing from Excel using the wizard.

Hello, I get the following pre execute error message(see below) when I try to import a table from Excel when using the wizard. I wrote my own code in the edit window. i noticed after writing it that the data types did not appear changed in the mappings window.
Can anyone explain what these errors mean and how they can be solved. Thank you.
