Building Xerces-C in Adobe Alchemy

I try to compile simple tool to validate XML Schema using Xerces-C in AIR application. Because I have got this error:

And I found this post http://ccgi.codegadget.plus.com/blog/2010/04/03/alchemy-c-library-1/, I try to compile Xerces-X using Adobe Alchemy. Unfortunatley configure script stops in following:

    Can I build a resume with Adobe?

    Hi there,
    FormsCentral is probably not the best solution for building a resume with Adobe software.  I would recommend you take a look at either Adobe Illustrator or Adobe InDesign.  Most individuals who author their resumes with an Adobe software title are using one of those two applications.

  • Upgrading from Adobe Flash Builder 4.5 to Adobe Flash Builder 4.6

    Can anyone share Adobe's upgrade path (with detailed steps) from Adobe Flash Builder 4.5 to Adobe Flash Builder 4.6

    After having done what looked like a proper UN-install of Flash Builder 4.5, I am trying to install the FB 4.6 upgrade. I get:
    A conflicting or prerelease version of Adobe Flash Builder exists on this computer. The conflicting version must be removed before installing from the current media.
    I dont know what this is, so spending an hour on the phone finally got me to Ankush Bangroo <[email protected]> who knew how to fix this.
    download the cleaner tool from the following site and run it, remove the "Adobe Flash Builder" item, then reboot.
    http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
    Now, you can do a proper install of Flash Builder 4.6 from download.

    So please suggest me how to handle this issue.

    Thanks Bharat Patel,
    I have already read this pdf files. but didnt get any solution.
    So, the issue is  style "direction" conflicts with the swc files.
    so, suggest me the correct answer.

  • Can you build mobile websites in Adobe CS6 Muse similiar to fluid grid layout?

    Can you build mobile websites using Adobe CS6 Muse, similar to fluid grid layout?

    You can certainly use Muse for hosting on other hosts as well. You do lose some of the functionality of Business Catalyst such as In Browser Editing. I just saw that you did your current one in Wordpress ... so I assume there is a blog?
    If so, keep in mind that Muse alone does not have a blog feature. You can integrate a Business Catalyst Blog into it with a bit of knowledge on how BC works.

  • Is Adobe Alchemy project still alive?

    Hi, people!
    Please excuse me if I missed something, but I have not heard
    anything for a quite long time (since December, I think) from
    Alchemy developers on this forum.
    Is Alchemy project still alive? I care deeply for its fate,
    and the apparent lack of reaction troubles me greatly.
    There are a few outstanding questions which are causing us,
    Lua Alchemy developers, notable discomfort. Most notably
    the
    flyield() problem and the transition to LLVM 2.4.
    I understand that Adobe Alchemy is an experimental
    unsupported alpha product, but even a short reply of "project not
    abandoned, will be back in six months" kind would do great for our
    spirits.
    Alexander.

    Yes, josath is right that as an Adobe employee I can't tell you much about Adobe's future plans including Alchemy.  But I can say a little bit about the relationship between Alchemy and FlashPlayer and how that will probably play out in the future. Alchemy relies on special op codes for direct memory access and arbitrary jumps that need to be supported by the Flash Player. I believe FP10 was the first player version that supported those op codes. Moving forward I would say it is safe to assume that future versions of the FlashPlayer will continue to support those op codes. In other words you should expect to be able to run today's Alchemy SWFs in every future FP.
    You are also asking whether Alchemy will be able to take advantage of FP performance improvements and support for, say, hardware acceleration.
    My answer would be: "yes" and "no". It depends on your Alchemy SWF and on the feature that improved. For example if FP's garbage collector improved in performance and became twice as fast your Alchemy SWF would probably not benefit from that change. The reason why Alchemy SWFs run so fast is because they avoid using the GC. A faster GC will help "regular" SWFs but not Alchemy SWFs. If everything including rendering improved in performance then regular SWFs and your Alchemy SWFs would improve as well. As far as I know hardware acceleration on mobile devices is currently only accessible through the ActionScript side via cacheAsSurface. But your Alchemy SWFs are created by converting C source code to AS. In other words if you want to take advantage of hardware acceleration then you need to beef up your AS code that uses the converted C code.
    Hope this helps,
    - Bernd

  • Adobe Alchemy compiled SWC - not sure how to compile library for FlasCC

    I'm trying to get game-music-emu-flash working with FlasCC. It uses the C/C++ Game_Music_Emu library and was originally compiled with Alchemy, but I want to see if there is a performance increase with FlasCC. I'd like to use SWIG with typemaps to call the library since the current project ActionScript is not compatible with FlasCC. I'm following code from the samples. I haven't coded the typemaps yet but for now I created swig.i as
    #ifdef SWIG
    %module libgmeLibModule
    #include "gme/gme.h"
    %include "gme/gme.h"
    #else
    #include "gme/gme.h"
    #endif
    and the Makefile follows the samples closely by replacing what's needed to match. During compilation I'm getting similar errors all in the form
    libgmeLib_wrapper.cpp: In function `void _wrap_gme_ay_type_get()':
    libgmeLib_wrapper.cpp:2575: error: invalid conversion from `const void*' to `void*'
    libgmeLib_wrapper.cpp:2575: error:   initializing argument 1 of `void* memcpy(void*, const void*, size_t)'
    Compiling with
    "$(FLASCC)/usr/bin/g++" $(BASE_CFLAGS) -04 gmemain.cpp gme/*.cpp -emit-swc=sample.libgme -o libgme.swc
    in the Makefile by itself under all: compiles without errors.
    I don't know C++ that well so any help is appreciated. Also would using SWIG and typemaps be the way to go or would manually wrapping make sense? I thought SWIG would be better since gme is a decent sized library.

    Hi Matt,
    Thank you very much for taking the time to code a demo. However I can't get it to fully build. By the way I am using FlasCC on Windows 7 64-bit and therefore Cygwin. Hopefully I can attempt to build it on a Mac sometime soon. Or can I compile this on Linux?
    Anyway I modified your Makefile with Windows paths since I was getting the error
    Error: Unable to access jarfile /cygdrive/c/FlasCC_1.0.0/sdk/usr/lib/asc2.jar
    Makefile:6: recipe for target `all' failed
    make: *** [all] Error 1
    So my Makefile now looks like
    #Set these to the paths to your FlasCC and Flex installs
    flascc=/cygdrive/c/FlasCC_1.0.0/sdk
    flex=/cygdrive/c/flex_sdk_4.6
    all:
              $(flascc)/usr/bin/swig -as3 gme.i
              $(flascc)/usr/bin/genfs --type=embed testfiles testfs
              java -jar C:\\FlasCC_1.0.0\\sdk\\usr\\lib\\asc2.jar -merge -md -import \
                        C:\\FlasCC_1.0.0\\sdk\\usr\\lib\\InMemoryBackingStore.abc \
                        -import C:\\FlasCC_1.0.0\\sdk\\usr\\lib\\builtin.abc \
                        -import C:\\FlasCC_1.0.0\\sdk\\usr\\lib\\playerglobal.abc \
                        -import C:\\FlasCC_1.0.0\\sdk\\usr\\lib\\BinaryData.abc \
                        testfs*.as
              $(flascc)/usr/bin/g++ gme_wrap.c gme/*.cpp libgme.as testfs*.abc \
                        main.cpp demo/Wave_Writer.cpp -emit-swc=sample.libgme -o libgme.swc
              rm -f libgme.as
              $(flex)/bin/mxmlc -static-link-runtime-shared-libraries \
                        -compiler.omit-trace-statements=false -library-path=libgme.swc \
                        -debug=false demo.as -o demo.swf
    clean:
              rm -f libgme.swc gme_wrap.c gme_wrap.o libgme.as demo.swf testfs* \
    With this Makefile I now get the error
    Error: Failed to execute compiler: Error occurred during initialization of VM
    Could not reserve enough space for object heap
    Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.
    Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.

    I tried -jvmopt="-XX:MaxPermSize=1400M" for g++ and it seems to run a little longer but I eventually get the same error. If I set -jvmopt="-Xmx=1G" (or any other value than 1G) I get errors in the form
    cc1plus: error in backend: Failed to run /cygdrive/c/FlasCC_1.0.0/sdk/usr/bin/../../usr/bin/llc with args: -jvm=C:\Windo

I first had Java 32-bit JRE installed then installed the Java 64-bit JDK. I also have 8GB of RAM. Any help help is always appreciated.
    In the meantime I will try to update the code using as3sig since that seems to be the closest to the Alchemy code.

    So it gets fairly far... but who is Jenkins? I assume that's not you since it's coded into 12 files of the FlasCC SDK. Weird.
    EDIT: I just realized Jenkins is a piece of software not a user or developer who coded their paths into FlasCC.
    EDIT2: It builds on Mac! I don't see out.wav being output but code complete functions show up for the library libgme in Flash Builder. I'll try to write some code to output audio to the Flash sound buffer.
    EDIT3: I was able to save out.wav with a ByteArray, a FileReference save dialog and a wav format header function. I forgot Flash doesn't really allow for writing files directly to a local disk. I was also able to playback sound within the swf much like game-music-emu-flash. Still no luck with getting it to build on Cygwin though.

  • Free way to dynamically build a form that adobe reader can fill out?

    It's 2008 and we don't have a open, free way to dynamically build a pdf form that adobe reader can populate with data? Why is Adobe charging for this sort of thing? Does this make sense to anybody?

    > Why is Adobe charging for this sort of thing?
    That seems to me the way economics works. People charge for things
    that other people are prepared to pay for. It's no good trying to
    charge for things that nobody will pay for.
    >Does this make sense to anybody?
    Adobe's shareholders, I would think, who will sack Adobe's management
    if they do not make money.
    By the way, the PDF specification is open. If you want something for
    free, why not implement it and share it with the world, who will
    surely be pleased. (You will not be able to implement a form that
    Reader can save, however, this is based on trade secrets).

  • Collaboration Builder and Presenter in Adobe Connect

    I have a project which requires reporting features out of Adobe Presenter, but we want to now integrate it with collaboration builder to have host lead sessions. Has anyone had experience with these two areas? I am getting very little out of my searches simply with Collaboration Builder. I am looking for someone with experience with the reporting feature of virtual classrooms, and specifically getting the reporting of that type of meeting to work with Collaboration Builder sdk, to load another game swf, which holds our game content. Viewer.swf is confusing in the current scheme of Presenter file structure, because I do not know what tasks that swf carries out, so I can incorporate them into my Flex shell to run a Presenter type game in Adobe Connect with my Flex shell. Not sure if that was clear, please ask any questions you have about this structure.

    Presenter does use the Collaboration Builder SDK, though to the exact implementation, I'm not able to say.
    Full documentation for the Collaboration Builder SDK, go to the Connect Developer center, Adobe Connect | Adobe Developer Connection That may help clarify the functionality and implementation of the SDK into your Flex application.

  • Best Way to Build Page/Form Logic - Adobe Muse

    Hello! I would like to build a simple site with some basic logic to get customer reviews, please see example of how a site similar to what we would like to build is set  up: http://www.loveringnashuareviews.com/leave-review
    Can anyone recommend the best way to accomplish this in Adobe Muse? Would you use the Adobe Muse Form widget or imbed form HTML from a form builder?
    I'd love to do it all within Adobe Muse to avoid having to sign up for a separate form building vendor, but I'm open to any and all suggestions:)

    Hi Reaver74,
    In the example site, the form is an interactive form where next option is offered based on the selection. This kind of form can't be created in Muse at the moment. You need to get the code for such form from some external source and embed it in Muse.
    Cheers!

    I'll gladly accept Flex + Actionscript as my goal if there are benefits of doing so.  Right now I'm looking for and HTML5 or CFML solution if possible for this project.

    i'm using chrome on windows 8.
    here a screenshot on Muse:
    here the preview on chrome
    as you can see it even changes the way the words are dislayed in each box (check the last line, 3 words on the muse version, 4 words on the browser version).

  • Building a pc for adobe photoshop cs 5 to use canon 5d mark II and video

    Hello I need to build a solid Pc, my budget is around  $1,000 - $1250.   I will be mainly photo editing and some video.  Multi tasking always a must. I have a monitor,keybord,and  mouse. I am going to use this computer for editing alot of photos and doing alot of web developing.  I am not sure what intel i7 cpu to get.  I curently have intel core duo E7200 @ 2.53 gtz and 2 gigs of ram.
    What do you guys think?
    Thank you
    I am going to get windows 7(64) pro.
    12 gigs of ram Gskill -ripjaw series$159.99

    = $1,104.92 So far spent still need, motherboard, hard drives
    Thanks for the help and suggestions
    Brad

    If you hadn't started spending yet, I could tell you how to get an even more powerful PC for probably about the same amount.
    I just did this myself:
    1.  Buy Dell Precision T5400 workstation with dual quad core X5460 3.16 GHz Xeons and 12 GB RAM from eBay:  $950.
    2.  Buy 2 x Western Digital RE4 1 TB hard drives new, to create 2 TB RAID drive C:.
    3.  Buy LG blu-ray CD/DVD/BD writer/reader.
    4.  Buy video card of your choice (I chose ATI Radeon HD 5670).
    5.  Buy an additional 4 GB RAM from eBay.
    Not much assembly, and a machine that has 16 GB and processor power that rates 10000 on the Passmark CPU benchmark.  It is even still under Dell warranty, which is extendable, for the motherboard and chassis.
    By the way, if you put in sets of 4 matched DDR2 DIMMs in these Precision workstations, they move up to quad channel access.

  • Building an eBook in Adobe Acrobat X Pro

    Hey guys,
    This is my first post to the forum so please be gentle... In brief, something I'm not known for, I've decided on the PDF format so I can offer my eBook to anyone owning a computer with an internet connection.
    Try as I may I've not been able to find a good step-by-step guide on converting a word doc into Acrobat X Pro for the purposes of an eBook. Ideally it would walk through the entire process including security, not allowing printing, copying etc.
    Another conversation I'd like to have is on the security issue. As I understand it you can only have one password making me think I'm missing something... Selling an eBook with one password seems problematical to me and thought there may be other security measures I've missed. Selling hundreds of thousands of eBooks, hey a man can dream, with one password doesn't sound like a good plan to me. So have I missed something?
    Thanks guys, eBooks and Acrobat X are both new to me so any help you're willing to give would be most appreciated.
    Harry

    Hello Harry and welcome,
    You'd be probably much better off posting your message in the appropriate Acrobat forum, which you may find here:
