Built a website to work on all Browsers (fire/Saf/IE), but now IE is moving the content and Nav?
I have just built a website, ensuring that it works on all browsers, firefox, safari, and IE (I believe the newest IE) When I built my first page it worked on all browsers except IE, (the content and Navigation would drastically move to the left) so I rebuilt it and checked everything on IE and it was fine, when it happened on other pages I again would rebuild it and it would be fine. I had it posted under my personal domain the entire time so I could see what it truly would look like. When it was done everything was basically fine. BUT, when I deleted it from my domain and moved it to the actual domain several of the pages would once again show up with this problem, the Navigation and and content moving to the left only on IE of course?
Can someone suggest if there is something in my code that shouldn't be there that is causing this? or something that I need to add to help the site In IE?

You have painted yourself into a box of determinate height by using a single background image. When text size is increased in browser (zoom, text only), the page becomes a bit of a mess.
A better approach would be to slice your design comp into sections or image slices and apply those to the various areas in your page. #header, #navigation, #mainContent, #footer, etc...
The other advice I offer is to use CSS instead of tables for layout. CSS is much more flexible and it allows you to make global site changes by editing one external stylesheet file instead of re-coding the entire site. Last time I attempted to make an online fillable pdf form the submit (to email) button wouldn't work in all browsers.

Image map links not working in all browsers
Hi, I develop HTML marketing emails once a week and my boss
has recently informed me that some, not all, of the image mapping
links do not work in all browsers or emails i.e. MacMail, Opera,
Safari, etc. He's positive there's something in Dreamweaver that
makes the links universally accommodated no matter what email/web
browser you use, but I haven't been able to find a solution as of
yet.
Any help on this would be appreciated, thanks!

Method for storing a session id that works on all browsers
How do I store a simple text session id on the browser, and makes sure it works on all browsers? Cokies can be turned off, and it does not work on WAP phones at all. URL-rewrinting is souch a clumpsy method, I think.
Is it possible to make my own HTTP header, and if I do, will it be possible to retrive this header from the browser in the next request?nope, http headers are lost once returned to the browser. You can add a hidden field with the session id to the form.

I have set hyperlinks within my ibook author document, they work perfectly until i export and view on the ipad, when only one or none work, (hyperlinks to website not working at all) what am i doing wrong?
An external hyperlink should handoff to Safari and leave iBooks.
If that's not happening, perhaps there is something misconfigured on your iPad? Have you manually confirmed those links work in Safari on your iPad? -
Things have just kind of escalated. We started with the ipad and she really liked it. Then we were given an itv and it worked so nicely with the ipad, that we decided to get her an iphone. We've been buying music, tv shows, movies, taking photos, looking at them on the tv using photostream. But now I'm getting an iphone and plan to by a macbook or mac mini some time soon, and I'm wondering how I can setup my own account but still have all this really nice seamless sharing across devices. If I buy an album on my phone, I'd like to be able to play it on the itv (which is setup with my wifes account). And so forth.
I hope I've explained my concern and someone can point out how to set things up so that things remain as seamless and easy as they are now.

I somehow installed a version of Firefox which won't work on my "old" iMac G5 (10.5.8) so I trashed the program and now I can't get it out of my trash bin... Any help appreciated because now I can't empty my trash at all! Thanks!!

My appletv is properly connected to wireless network, everything looks all right but it can't adjust the time and date. As a result it doesn't work.

Assuming this is not the first time you have used your Apple TV
You might try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Also try restarting the router.
If the problem persists, try a restore, you may want to try the previous procedures several times before doing this.
If restoring from the Apple TV doesn't help, try restoring from iTunes using a USB cable.
If this is a new Apple TV, in addition to trying the above, it may also be that your network router is not allowing access to the timeserver, check that your router allows access over port 123. -

One thing you might want to do is restart the computer while holding down the Option key then select the Restore Volume and run Disk Utility and repair the Disk Permissions on the HD. Run DP at least 2x. -
Hi, I've just downloaded Aperture 3.2 and transfered all my iPhoto Library but now when I use the Aperture program it runs at the slowest speed possible and is almost impossible to work with. It is constantly processing why is this?
You can click on the text that says 'processing' in the main windows and it will open (toggle) the Activity Window, (can also be accessed via the Window menu -> Show Activity.
It will tell you what Aperture is doing with more precision and perhaps even how many photos it still needs to process. It is generally best to wait until all that processing is done before you start working with the photos (well it is best to first turn of options what you dont want to use, perhaps Faces or Previews and then let it process the new photos). -
Upgraded to FF4 sites were slow loading or not loading at all - then I discovered it downloads if I keep moving the cursor. If I stop moving the cursor the downloading stops or slows to a crawl again. Why can I no longer, after having downloaded Lion, write accents and other diacriticals when in the Google, Yahoo, FaceBook, or even here in this post? The new method for getting at the "option" symbols works fine in other places like spotlight, but now even the older "option+letter" doesn't work in most places.
Chrome doesn't support the new accent/diacritics/macron chooser. I'm not sure about other browsers such as Firefox. You can use the old Option+letter combination that Doug suggested. Hopefully updates will solve these little incompatibilities shortly.

My new (2 months old) 5s fingerprint recognition sensor does not work. It worked well when I first got it but now to get it to work I have to redo my fingerprints every few days, which completely negates the convenience and cost of the phone. I have tried all the tips and they help a little but it always stops working and I have to redo my fingerprints. Does Apple read these comments? Is there an app that might help?

I also have iPhone 5s on day one and it's working since. When it's not registering, I just clean the Home button and it works straight away.
Did you try when registering fingerprint using all angles? It should learn the more you use it.
