Bursting 2 Oracle BI Analysis type Data Set

Hi
We have 2 Oracle BI Analysis type Data Set.We are able to burst but in the email we just recieve only email attachement with only header(only column headings) ( in
excel/pdf output without any data.
But when we import the report xml and load into xml into template we are able to preview data in excel or PDF format.
Could you Please answer as soon as possible
Thanks
Nitesh

edit BI Analysis and remove any FILTER USING etc... save analysis and then try in BIP to add the BI Analysis data set.

    INTERMEDIA VIR - ORDIMAGE TYPE에 저장된 DATA크기 구하는 방법============================================================
    Purpose
    Intermedia vir 에서 ORDIMAGE type에 저장된 data size를 구해보자.
    Explanation
    Example
    emp table에 저장된 ORDImage type data의 크기를 구한다.
    set serveroutput on
    DECLARE
    Image ORDSYS.ORDImage;
    ContentLength INTEGER;
    BEGIN
    SELECT large_photo INTO Image FROM emp
    WHERE ename = 'John Doe';
    -- get the image size
    ContentLength := Image.getContentLength;
    dbms_output.put_line('Image Size = '||ContentLength);
    END;

  • How to generate TPC-E schema/data sets in Oracle 11g

    Hi,
    I want to use TPC-E schema in my Oracle 11g database (Standard) and also want to use DATA SETS from this benchmark for some kind of testing.
    I've download EGen v1.8.0 from this TPC website:
    http://www.tpc.org/tpce/default.asp
    but don't know who to implement this benchmark database into my computer's database. I'll appreciate if someone please suggest me how to do this...
    Thanks alot.

    I want to find Optimal size of a data block size as this is the one parameter which can increase the performance of a database or decrease it.If there is a single optimal size, that would surely be the default Oracle block size - as Oracle should know perhaps better than any of us, just what block size differences do as it is their code that uses it?
    Can I ask why you said that you would not have chosen this topic as a thesis?My leaning has always been to expert systems and A.I. Even designed and written my own expert system language years ago. One thing that is critical in such systems is how you structure data - and that has a nice database angle to it. One that I believe can still be exploited for research purposes.
    Don't you think that it'll benefit DBA's or database developer after I reach a successful conclusion?To be honest, in the real world of database systems, the least of my concerns are data block sizes. For example, we're busy putting together a storage array that should have a maximum I/O pipe size of 40Gb. In comparison, we currently use dual 2Gb fibre channels on most of our servers for our I/O.
    Technology moves fast. And perhaps there is an ideal block size for the standard storage array and Oracle instance today - but that could invalidated by new technology next year. Would I want to spend time and effort studying and analysing and researching a very specific technical subject, that perhaps is not considered as of that critical importance by DBAs and perhaps can be outdated with new technology and techniques?
    I honestly do not want to put you off studying db block sizes. Perhaps there's still some critical issues to uncover in that respect. But personally.. there are many other subject areas in database technology that peak my interest a lot more. But then you have your personal preferences and likes and dislikes - and data blocks could be your muse. :-)

  • Bursting with 2 data sets

    Hi
    I have 2 data sets Q1 and Q2 in my data model. I am trying to use bursting feature to write the output to a folder.
    When defining the bursting in data model, I can define Split By -> /DATA_DA/LIST_Q1/Q1/KEY_VALUE or /DATA_DA/LIST_Q2/Q2/KEY_VALUE.
    But I need to use output from both Q1 and Q2 and write to the file.
    Can this be achieved ? Anyone has a similar requirement and know the solution ?
    Any help towards this is appreciated.
    Thanks.

    You should be able to use union to combine your query into a single dataset and try bursting. I haven't tried it but you may want to look into it.
    Thanks,

  • Call Oracle procedure with custom data type within Java and Hibernate

    I have a custom date TYPE in Oracle
    like
    CREATE TYPE DATEARRAY AS TABLE OF DATE;
    and I have a Oracle function also
    like
    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION doesContain (list DATEARRAY, val VARCHAR2) RETURN NUMBER
    IS
    END doesContain;
    In my Java class,
    I have a collection which contain a list of java.util.Date objects
    When I call Oracle function "doesContain", how to pass my java collection to this Oracle function ...
    anyone can provide solutions?
    Please !!!
    Thanks,
    Pulikkottil

    Vu,
    First of all you need to define your types as database types, for example:
    create or replace type T_ID as table of number(5)Then you need to use the "oracle.sql.ARRAY" class. You can search this forum's archives for the term "ARRAY" in order to find more details and you can also find some samples via the JDBC Web page at the OTN Web site.
    Good Luck,
    Avi.

    I know there is a BADI CRM_CUSTOMER_I_BADI which gives me the freedom to show my own screen in the sales order screen(additiional tab).

    Please help.

    Hi,
    For Example Enhancing product workbench Commpr01 in CRM for any Product category or somthing, we will use set type concept in CRM,for creating set types we need to go EEWB workbench  and create .while creation of set types in EEWB itself it will  have one option "Create BW extractor".So just we need to select that option system will create set type data source for the same.Delta will be based on Change pointer and it will use push technology.so just u need to ask your CRM IT team to select that option .u dont need to create data source in RSO2.
    See the properties of Set type data source
    Extraction Methods -  F1
    Extractor           - COM_GENERIC_FULL_UPLOAD(its common for all data sources generated through set type concept)
    Extract Structure    ZZSET*
    Gen. Interface       X.
    Delta Process        AIM
    Delta Test Possible  X
    DeltaInit Simu       1
    U can see these propeties in RSA2

  • Is complex type request supported by web service data set?

    I just installed OBIEE 11g and tried to create data models with web services. It works fine for web services that takes simple data types and returns complex data types. But if the request to the web service is a complex type, it doesn't work. On the Edit Data Set page, I selected "true" for Complex Type. After I entered WSDL url, it populated the Web Service dropdown, but not the Method dropdown. Any ideas?
    The other problem I am having with web service data set is that it seems to ignore the attributes in the xml response. Only xml element is recognized.
    e.g. in <trigger priority="0" font_size="0"/>, priority and font_size are ignored in the data set. Please advise. Thanks.

    Hi,
    In this usecase , you can DnD the <serviceOperationName>_parameters as an ADF from. Then DnD the operation as a method. The methods input arg value is automatically set to the parameterIterator.currentRow.DataProvider. This works fine.

  • Oracle Business Intelligence How to choose data set based on a condition

    Hi,
    I am using Oracle Business Intelligence for creating reports, i am facing a situation where i have two quries (data sets in BI), one to display a Failure message and other to fetch data from the table to be displayed in the report.
    The problem is i am unable to choose which data set to run based on a condition. How to use a condition based on which the dataset will be run
    For example : i will read a table column value if it is 'S' means success, then i have to run the dataset to fetch the data from the table.
    If the column value has 'F' then i have to run the dataset which will display failure message
    Please let me know if any of you have any idea on this
    Thanks in advance
    Muthukumaran

    Hi Chinna,
    You have to use some scripting as well as coding to perform the tasks listed by you. First of all make your form Dynamic, In your Adobe lifecycle Designer, open your form,
    Goto, File --> Form Properties,
    Goto the Defaults tab,
    Select "Dynamic PDF" for the XDP Preview Format:
    Click OK.
    This setting will now allow dynamicity in your Form, when you view it in PDF Preview tab.
    For Hiding/Unhiding the fields/SF, you can use the presence property and set it based on the conditions. like:
    if (this.rawValue == null)
    TextField1.presence = "hidden";
    For your second task, you may map a method corresponding to onSubmit event of the IF and write the code to create the workflow and make RFC call here.
    For third one, you need to convert the PDFObject from Binary context into a byte array and save it at appropriate location.
    Hope I have answered all your queries.
    Cheers,
    Arafat

    Thanks for suggestion, now I got different error
    Database error text........: "ORA-01858: a non-numeric character was found
    where a numeric was expected#"
    When I debugg I have some unxpected field values in internal table itab:
    DAT      USNAM        NOVI
    X2009032|0NIHADOM     |
    X2009032|0NIHADOM     |
    But, it should be like this
    DAT      USNAM        NOVI
    20090320|NIHADOM     |X
    20090320|NIHADOM     |X
    Any idea why I got indicator X in DAT field but it should be in NOVI. Is that why I got above error?
    Thnaks,

  • Need to load large data set from Oracle table onto desktop using ODBC

    I don't have TOAD nor any other tool for querying the database.  I'm wondering how I can load a large data set from an Oracle table onto my desktop using Excel or Access or some other tool using ODBC or not using ODBC if that's possible.  I need results to be in a .csv file or something similar. Speed is what is important here.  I'm looking to load more than 1 million but less than 10 million records at once.   Thanks.

    Use Oracle's free Sql Developer
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/sql-developer/downloads/index.html
    You can just issue a query like this
    SELECT /*csv*/ * FROM SCOTT.EMP
    Then just save the results to a file
    See this article by Jeff Smith for other options

  • Can I use ReadXML/WriteXML to change Meta Data Set Type?

    Has anyone successfully changed which Meta Data Set an asset is using? In the XML description of the asset there's this entry:
    <mdValue fieldName="Metadata Set" dataType="string">paassetmedia</mdValue>
    but if I try to change it by using this XML statment it doesn't change:
    <FinalCutServer>
    <request reqId="setMd" entityId="/asset/4922">
    <params>
    <mdValue fieldName="Metadata Set" dataType="string">paassetshot</mdValue> </params>
    </request>
    </FinalCutServer>
    I know the XML is working because I can change any mdValue besides the MetaData Set.
    Ideas?

    Nick is correct - the only way that you are going to be able to change the MD Set for a given asset is to duplicate it and to delete the original. I've had to do this a few times, using search expired + subscription + responses to do the trick.
    Ideally you get the md set right when you first add the assets
