Bus error in the Forte executable

Hi,
We have an environment with forte' (ver. 3.0.G.2) running
on AIX 4.1 (The name of central server is cld_app1 and the nodemgr start
with the name cld_TDR). In our environment we are using two differnet
repository. In rep1 we have a very simple project (called 'aaa') that
use one small class with two methods. One method print the date & time.
The second method communicate with a serviceobject that use MQSeries to
put/get some messages in the queues.
The project work correctly in test run and in distribuite mode.
If we export the same project (aaa) and we import in other repository
(rep2 in the same environment) the project doesn't work. Infact,
during test run forte' return the following:

After Security Update today: "Bus error" when starting "ssh" client

Hi,
I'm using OS X 10.5.2 and updated my system with the newest Safari 3.1 and Security Update a few hours ago. After I did this update, I cant use the command-line ssh client anymore. When I start the ssh, I immediately get a "Bus error" on the shell.
Any suggestions?

Disk Utility Permission Repair doesn't do any good either.
I now actually use my Parallels VM to ssh thanks to putty but still...

Having problems since latest 10.5.7 update: com.apple.doc "Bus error"

Hello,
Since this morning, after installing the latest Mac OS updates, my Mac has been really slow, and the dock never appears. My console messages keep printing the following message:

and the system log keeps printing the following related massages:

Since the problem is with the OS and not just the user account -
I'd download the Apple Combo Update from here:
http://support.apple.com/downloads/MacOS_X_10_5_7_ComboUpdate and after run it again. No change?
Then
Reinstall Mac OS using "Archive and Install" method which doesn't affect your user account: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1545 - Preserve User and Network Settings
Then, after repairing permissions
Run the combo update again.
Repair Permissions 1 last time.

[SOLVED] Blender 2.5 & "Bus Error"

Hi, I have a problem with the built by themselves and by other versions of blender 2.5 (from svn trunk) ... when you enable the program crashes and displays the information "bus error". The problem lies not in the program, because working on other computers and on the same computer, but running the LiveCD. Do you have any idea what could cause this?

By any chance are you using local configuration files created from another OS? In particular the ~/.B.blend file? If so, try starting without it and see what happens.
Thanks - the reason for the error was a corrupted file .B25.blend.

Problems with the Xserver Bus error

I think this problem started when I updated to 10.4.10, but I'm not entirely sure.
All of the sudden, I lost the Windows Login, the first problem I found was that the "crashreport" couldn't write on file and exited with signal 1 and 10.
Following up on the system.log the application crashing was Spotlight damon.
I remove it from the boot process and now it's not crashing (because is not running )
But I still cannot login, when I restart the server, the screen stays on the part where the "bar" estimate the time to boot, although some of the services are up.
Like LDAP, AFP, DHCP, etc.
I cannot connect with the "Server Admin" remotely, although the "Workgroup Mannager" DOES connect.
I CAN login ssh, but if I try any privileged commands, like "systemsetup", "networksetup", "softwareupdate", I get "Bus error" and there's nothing I can do.

XMLAnalysis Error while trying to execute a MDX query on MS SSAS - Accessing the cube from Java through Olap4j driver

Am trying to access MS SSAS data cube from Java through olap4j driver(through msmdpump.dll). I am able to connect , but when I try to execute a query, i am getting the below error: Please help

Error in the workflow which executes background synchronous webservice task

Hi,
I am very new to SAP Workflows. I created a workflow with one activity step in it. The activity step actually executes a task TS77000300 (synchronous calculation - its an SAP task). When I test it. I get an error "Error when starting the service" with exception 8987, area SWF_HTTP and message 125 - Object WEBSERVICE method PROCESSBATCH cannot be executed.
I checked in WF_EXTSRV tcode, there is an entry for the background synchronous webservice task.
I checked in SWLWPTSSID table, there is an mapping between task-id and service id from WF_EXT SRV.
I am not sure where its going wrong. Any help resolving this issue is appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Thanks Gurprit for the direction.
Even if I execute the the workflow( WS77000647 from SAP). The first step invokes Process Dialog which asks for three numbers and two operands. When I input all the input params and click calculate button, the second step which is actually the background synchronous task, results in the same error in the workflow log and in the Process Dialog page browser it says "Entries sent for calculation" with the same input screen.
Am I missing anything here to run background synchronous task? Any help regarding this is appreciated.

Why do I get error -17500 when calling a batch file using the call executable step type?

I am calling a batch file using the call executable step type. If the path to the batch file contains a space I get error -17500 and a message stating there was an error in "Post". For example the path to the batch file is "c:\TestWin\Test Files\...\Program.bat" When I run this I get the above mentioned error, however if I change my directory structure so the path is now "c:\TestWin\TestFiles\...\Program.bat" it runs fine. I use the browse feature to find my batch file so it is not me typing in a path incorrectly. I have removed the batch file and I get a different error stating that it couldn't find the file so it appears that for my error it can find the file but can't run it. I am
sure that this has something to do with the fact that batch files are written in DOS but really don't want to resort to changing my directory structure on all my test stations. Is there any way to fix this problem so I can leave a space in my path?

It appears I have figured it out. This was on another computer so I was unaware of how they used their computer. I like you got it to work in the temp directory and in fact got the program.bat file to work as long as I put it under the temp directory, but when I switched out to my TestWin directory it wouldn't work, so I removed everything from the directory except the batch file it self and it work. What I found out after adding files in one at a time is that the person had a file called "Test" with no file extension in there "c:\TestWin\" directory. Removing this file made it work. Putting the file back broke it. So it appeares that when teststand was running it followed the path saw a space and attempted to grab the "Test" file instead of bro
wsing into the "Test Files" directory. If you create a file in your temp directory called "temp" with no file extension you will see the same problem. Thank you for your help.

I have Warehouse Builder 10g on a database 10g R1.
On a server linux I have the repository, and on other server (Sun 5.9) I have runtimes for production.
I want execute an upgrade deploy action on one object but I get this error:

I review the installation, it was made with a diferent user that database, I get same permission, restart runtimes service and problem was resolved.

In Encore I get an error in the check project window of "can't execute end action because of final chapter marker"

I have imported a project to Encore and while it worked the first time, this time I get an error in the check project winder of can't execute chapter 2 end action because of final end marker? I have two different sections that have buttons on the menu. When you get to the end of the first sequence I need it to go back to the menu and it is saying that it can't because of the end action on the final marker.

The 'unable to locate' message means that you don't have those music files on that computer, or that they are not where iTunes is expecting them to be. How did you get the entries for those tracks in your new computer's iTunes ?

You may also be able to re-download them from the store (checking for available downloads only checks for items that have not yet been downloaded, not for past purchases) via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page (re-downloading music isn't possible in all countries). You may need to delete them form your library first (where you are getting the 'unable to locate' message), otherwise iTunes will assume that you still have them somewhere and won't let you re-download them.

Runtime Error setting the 'Environment' when running with TWO executables

I'm using XML DB for the very first time, so this problem may be easy to solve.
I'm currently running a test with TWO separate C# Console executables.
One executable correctly sets up the Xml Environment, Manager, and Container and simply adds XML documents to the database.
The second executable simply is supposed to run some XQuery commands. I use the same Environment, Manager, and Container code to do the initialization. However, I'm having trouble with setting up the 'Environment' in this executable. I get the following error:

On this line of code:

I've only seen code examples that run in a SINGLE executable. I'd really like to access the XML DB from multiple threads/executables, but am having trouble.
Can there be multiple 'Environments' and 'Managers' for the one XML Db?

SP with xp_cmdshell gives an error in the MessageQueue, but executes successfully in SSMS.

Hi All,
I have a SP, which calls xp_cmdshell in it. This SP is being used in a MessageQueue.
The SQL server and Agent services are configured using a Domain service account, and this service account has a login under the sysadmin server role as well.
When the MessageQueue is invoked, the SP returns the following exception :
The xp_cmdshell proxy account information cannot be retrieved or is invalid. Verify that the '##xp_cmdshell_proxy_account##' credential exists and contains valid information.
But when I execute the SP in SSSMS, under the service account login (which is a sysadmin), it successfully executes.
I even created the ##xp_cmdshell_proxy_account## credential, but the Message Queue never stops giving this error.
This is how the queue looks like :

No, that is not the solution.
Yes, it works. And it is a lot simpler than the solution I pointed you to. But it opens a big security hole. Or, well, depending how things you are on your server, it may be entirely uncontroversial. But as long as I don't know anything, I will have
to assume that it is a security hole. And even if there is no one today on the server who is db_owner in the database but who should not be sysadmin, that could happen in the future.
So, to anyone else who is reading this: don't set your databases to be trustworthy, unless you fully understand the implication. The correction solution is to use certificate signing. I describe this in detail in my article, and this article also explains
the dangers with TRUSTWORTHY.

You could repair disk and permissions, but I suspect a corrupt OS X. I would reinstall the operating system.

I am trying to install Oracle8051EE_Intel.tgz.
Relinking Error. The executables for Oracle8 Entrprise (RDBMS) were not made successfully.
The error in the install.log file are:

When running the command:
make -f ins_rdbms.mk ORACLE_HOME=/var/database/ora001/app/oracle/product/8.0.5 install
from the /CD-ROM/rdbms/lib directory, I get the errors:
/var/database/ora001/app/oracle/product/8.0.5/lib//libplsf.a(spssimb.o): In function `pss_gets':
spssimb.o(.text+0x4ef): the `gets' function is dangerous and should not be used.

How do I resolve this problem?

I don't know if it can help you, but I had to face something quite like that installing Oracle 8.1.7 on Aix 5L.
In fact, you don't need to have C compiler on the system to relink products. "ld" and "ar" commands are used to do it. But you need to have all the necessary libraries installed. So check if filesets bos.adt.lib and bos.adt.libm are installed and then try a "relink all" from an oracle's shell.
