Error in the workflow which executes background synchronous webservice task

Hi,
I am very new to SAP Workflows. I created a workflow with one activity step in it. The activity step actually executes a task TS77000300 (synchronous calculation - its an SAP task). When I test it. I get an error "Error when starting the service" with exception 8987, area SWF_HTTP and message 125 - Object WEBSERVICE method PROCESSBATCH cannot be executed.
I checked in WF_EXTSRV tcode, there is an entry for the background synchronous webservice task.
I checked in SWLWPTSSID table, there is an mapping between task-id and service id from WF_EXT SRV.
I am not sure where its going wrong. Any help resolving this issue is appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Thanks Gurprit for the direction.
Even if I execute the the workflow( WS77000647 from SAP). The first step invokes Process Dialog which asks for three numbers and two operands. When I input all the input params and click calculate button, the second step which is actually the background synchronous task, results in the same error in the workflow log and in the Process Dialog page browser it says "Entries sent for calculation" with the same input screen.
Am I missing anything here to run background synchronous task? Any help regarding this is appreciated.

Using disk utility repair disk is not available ( greyed out) and verify disk stops and says disc requires repairing. So the online support page suggests I erase the disc and reinstall then back up from time machine ( I have a recent backup). But when I try to erase the Macintosh HD I get the message volume erase failed with the error couldn't unmount disk.
I'd be very grateful for any help anyone can give me.
I have a macbook pro 17" mid 2009- running on snow leopard 10.6.8 ... I lost the snow leopard disk so I don't know what to do from there ... I tried restarting by clicking SHIFT (safe mode) after the chime comes up, but It doesnt seem to make any difference ... please help !!

Whenever you install a new version of OS X being installed, the disk is checked just as if you were using Disk Utility checks the disk to see if the disk is damaged. And,, from what you report, your disk is damaged and needs to be replaced. This isn't a fault with Mavericks - your disk may have been failing for years.
It's a very good thing that you've a recent backup as you're going to need it. I would suggest that you evaluate what functionality that you need in a new disk and go shopping at OWC for a new drive - HGST (or any Hitachi), Seagate SSHDs or Toshiba drives are all good. Be sure that you buy an enclosure for the 'new' drive so that you can format it using Disk Utility before installing it into your machine - you can get one of those from OWC as well.

In my case ,I want implement the spending limit workflow to replace the one-step and two-step approval workflows. I want my worflow like this:Output limit not exceeded - start 0-step-approval workflow;Output limit exceeded - start 1-step-approval workflow;
I config the workflow like this:
1、Deactivate the event linkage for the workflowsWS10000129 (one-step approval)、 WS10000031 (two-step approval)、 WS10000060 (0-step approval).
2、Activate the event linkage for the workflow WS10000276 (spending limit)；
3、condition for workflow ：
          WS10000276：ReqtCovRequest.TotalValue>ReqtCovRequest.SpendingLimitofRequester
                  WS10000060：ReqtCovRequest.TotalValue <= ReqtCovRequest.SpendingLimitofRequester
4、PPOMA_BBP ：EMPLOYEE －output limit：100 usd.
                                                     － SLAPPROVER ：USMANAGER
Now,When I one shopping cart with value 80 usd，But the SC still need to be approvaled by MANAGER.I want to know why?

I think it is not an error.
Go to BBP_PD and check which workflow template is started.
Go to SWO1 transaction, and enter Business Object BUS2121 and select test.
Select create instance and give SC number. You can check the value of ReqtCovRequest.TotalValue and ReqtCovRequest.SpendingLimitofRequester.
Go to SWD_COND and check the start condition.

I am trying to open the ESS leave request workflow WS04200009 from eiter swdd ot from PFTS but it gives me the following error:
Workflow definition 'WS04200009' not in version '0000'
Message no. WD401
Diagnosis
The workflow definition with the ID WS04200009 in version 0000 could not be read from the database.
System Response
The call to the Workflow Builder had to be cancelled.
Procedure
Refer to your workflow system administrator.

I know you have not checked this forum to see if this question has already been answered, because I know it has. So perhaps you should try those two appraches first?

GRC Process Control - Case ID Error in the workflow

Hi Experts,
I am not able to trigger workflow through planner in Process Control 10.0. It shows "Error" status in Planner Monitor.
In SWI1, the error message shows as "Case "xxxxxx(Random number)" does not exist". I have attached the screen shot of the same.

How to purge the workflow which is in process

Hi Friends,
I am facing one problem in the AME Workflow.
when a user submit a page for approval process, workflow engine invokes . and in the hr_api_transcations table transacation id is created for that workflow transacation. now the problem is, if i purge that workflow process using concurrent program 'PURGE OBSELETE WORKFLOW RUNTIME DATA' . it is deleting the workflow. but when i see the hr_api_transacation table still the transacation id for that workflow is active.
Example :-
when i see through through the responsibility (workflow administrator web applications)=>Administrator workflow=>Status monitor
when i type the item key say some x and search for the workflow status i cant see the workflow status. i can see it is deleted.
but when i type the same item key in the hr_api_transacation
like :- select * from hr_api_transactions where item_key='X' i can see the status of this transacation is active and workflow is in pending.
can anyone explain me why system is behaving like.. how to stop the workflow process and how to delete the transacation id from the table.

Error in the proc which has dynamic query in it.

I have a proc as below

Here when i execute it is giving the error in 'id2' which is paased as the parameter in this proc and "cur.dep" which is comming from the cursor. It giving n error 'id2' and "cur.dep" is an invalid identifier

Your code is faulty.
First of all you set up multiple statements in a cursor for loop, and you execute that statement outside the cursor for loop. So only 1 statement is executed.
Secondly, you can't refer to pl/sql variables in a dynamic sql statement or you must use them as bind variables (preferred) or concatenate them.

SP with xp_cmdshell gives an error in the MessageQueue, but executes successfully in SSMS.

Hi All,
I have a SP, which calls xp_cmdshell in it. This SP is being used in a MessageQueue.
The SQL server and Agent services are configured using a Domain service account, and this service account has a login under the sysadmin server role as well.
When the MessageQueue is invoked, the SP returns the following exception :
The xp_cmdshell proxy account information cannot be retrieved or is invalid. Verify that the '##xp_cmdshell_proxy_account##' credential exists and contains valid information.
But when I execute the SP in SSSMS, under the service account login (which is a sysadmin), it successfully executes.
I even created the ##xp_cmdshell_proxy_account## credential, but the Message Queue never stops giving this error.
This is how the queue looks like :

to assume that it is a security hole. And even if there is no one today on the server who is db_owner in the database but who should not be sysadmin, that could happen in the future.
So, to anyone else who is reading this: don't set your databases to be trustworthy, unless you fully understand the implication. The correction solution is to use certificate signing. I describe this in detail in my article, and this article also explains

Error in the SoapRequest when executing WebServices with more thn 10 params

I'm using Sun One Studio 5 Standard Edition to develop WebServices.
I started noticing that whenever I have a WebService which receives more than 10 for example If it receives 25 parameters something happens with the Execute test tool and the value of the 1st Parameter is Overwritten with the value of the 13th parameter and the value of the 21st parameter overrides the value of the 2nd Parameter.
If I use the HTTP Monitor I see that the values are posted correctly but when Sun One creates the Soap Request the values are overriden. Here's an example

Error at the time of Executing FAGLL03/FAGLB03

I am not able to execute the report FAGLL03/FAGLB03
this was happening ever since my Roles were changed by Basis - however even they dont knw how to rectify it
I am able to enter the report FAGLL03, however every time i execute it, i am faced with a message that says 'No Items Selected' and when i run the same GL Account in FBL3n, I generate values....
In my role/authorization assigned to me, in PFCG, i assigned the ledger 0L, but it still doesnt work; also i am not able to do a dump of SU53 since i am not generating any error messages...
i even tried assigning the SAP Easy Access node to the transaction list
Does anyone knw, what authorizations I should assign in order to overcome this problem...

Is this system productive for some time on the flex GL? Do you have data in the table BSEG_ADD?
Just to ascertain this is an authorisation issue. Can you insert the following profiles in your user id in SU01 in the profile tab: SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW. Execute the report and if you still get the no items selected message, then it is something else.

Sorry, there is no way to get this information in TimesTen. You can use internal tracing to see each SQL statement as it is executed but (a) the performance hit is severe and (b) there is no timing or CPU usage information available.
If you want to know how long a specific SQL statement takes to execute you need to add timing instrumentation to your application code.

I implemented a attribute NAME2 in BP_ADDR/AddressDuplicate , in that i implemented GET_P_NAME2 and later deleted attribute it self now i am getting the error "ZL_BP_ADDR_ADDRESSDUPLICA_CN02CP Method "GET_P_NAME2" does not exist. There is, however, a method with the similar name "GET_BP_NAME"
how to remove this error?

Calling another FM, in the FM which is called in Update task

Hi Experts,
I have created the implicit enhancement in the Function module say 'X' .
This 'X' FM is called in Update Task.
Now i am calling another FM say 'Y' in this 'X' FM.
The FM 'Y' has got its own commit statement.It is updating some tables.
Here are my findings,
When i commented the explicit 'commit and wait' from the 'Y' Fm , the data that i needed to be saved was being saved and updated successfully.
However , when i added an extra parameter say 'No Commit' in the 'Y' FM to by pass the explicit 'commit and wait' , the FM 'Y' itself is not getting called for strange reasons.
The update gets interrupted.
Please suggest why this FM is not getting called.
Any thing that i may be missing.

Hope you have called the FM correctly with the additional importing parameter , also check if your FM is RFC enabled then check the "pass by value" option.

Workflow not executing - No event error no log errors

Hello experts,
I finally solved the exceptions i was getting in my work flow and all the thanks goes for all the forum participants in general and to Sudhindra, and Glauco specifically,
Now i have another error that i am clueless about, i want to trigger the workflow when the status of a document changes, so when i change the status nothing happens, in SWEL there are no errors, It says that receiver started correctly, in ST22 there are no errors, but
the workflow does not execute, the workflow should open a web browser, so it is not opening it. Any ideas as to why this is happening ?

I have replied to this in the original thread... anyways here is a copy of the same...
No the background task is executed by the user WF-BATCH and once the function module is called the user transfers the control to the SAP GUI and then the SAP GUI communicates with the OS. In this case if the task is background then how will the OS know where to call the web browser? It will not know the user to whom this request must be dispatched.
So the bottom line is that you cannot use this functionality in a background task.
There is one workaround that comes to my mind. What you can do to inform a user that the "Changed" event has triggered is as follows:
1. Create a workflow which will trigger off from the Changed event of "DRAW"
2. Create a send mail step and check the checkbox that says "Send Express" and include the URL you want to open in the Mail body and then send it to an outlook user.
If you use the Send Express flag then the user will be intimated once the event has occured if and only if he uses the SAP GUI. If the user does not use the SAP GUI then you can remove the check but just send the mail to the outlook so that the user receives the email in outlook once the event has triggered!
Apart from this nothing comes to my mind!

Received this error (The workflow could not update the item, possibly because one or more columns for the item require a different type of information.) recently on a workflow that was
working fine and no changes were made to the workflow.
I have tried a few suggestions, i.e. adding a pause before any ‘Update’ action (which didn’t help because the workflow past this action without incident); checked the data type being written
to the fields (the correct data types are being written); and we even checked the list schema to ensure the list names and the internal names are aligned (they
are), but we still cannot figure out why the workflow is still throwing this error.
We located the area within the workflow step where it is failing and we inserted a logging action to determine if the workflow would execute the logging action but it did not, but wrote the same error message.
The workflow is a Reusable Approval workflow designed in SharePoint Designer 2010 and attached to a content type.
The form associated with the list was modified in InfoPath 2010.
Approvers would provide their approval in the InfoPath form which is then read by the workflow.
Side note - items created after the workflow throws this Unknown Error some seem to be working fine.
We have deleted the item in question and re-added it with no effect.
Based on what we were able to determine there don’t seem to be any consistency with how this issue is behaving.
Any suggestions on how to further investigate this issue in order to find the root cause would be greatly appreciated?

I understand that the reusable workflow doesn’t work properly now. Have you tried to remove the Update list item action to see whether the workflow can run without issue?
If the workflow runs perfectly when the Update list item action is removed, then you need to check whether there are errors in the update action. Check whether the values have been changed.
