Business Blueprint -  Restricting authorization at Business Scenario

Hi All,
We would like to restrict authorizations at a Business Scenario level, say FI module users are restricted to update only their documents and only view SD documents.
Can anyone let me know if this is possible?
Thank you for your time.

Hi Guys,
Blueprints are available online!!
Go through the links
The Blue print for Business Inteligence:

Now if you are looking the Blueprint for any other modules, Select from the list

  • Training & Event Management: Restrict Change to Business Event

    Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a way to restrict change to Business Event (eg. changes to the Event Schedule) based on certain business criteria? My criteria cannot restrict by authorization.
For eg. let say if something happens (based on business scenario), then my program will restrict the users to change details in Business Event, but they can still book Personnels to the event- so that means I can't use the LOCK/UNLOCK function.
    Thank you for your help.
    Regards,

    Dear,
Oh! Sorry I did not noticed your initial post date, any how at least we can share knowledge.
Regarding your concern about the FM, we have created function module ZHR_TRAINING_AUTH and table ZHR_TRAINING_AUTH to restrict authorization related to respective department secretaries and business event group.
Then in Customization to create and configure the profile: go to Human Resources > Personal Management > Personal Development > Settings > Current Settings > Define Authorization Profile
Then later on you can “Assign” this newly created profile to the users, then you are able to restrict.
I hope this small information will help,
    Good luck

  • Generating Business Blueprint

    Hi,
I seem to be having problems generating the business blueprint, we are doing an HCM project and i have defined the following in SOLAR01
    1. Organizational Units
    2. Master Data
    3. Business Scenarios
under the business scenarios, i have assigned the business proccesses from the HCM component.
my question is, is there any transactions that must be assigned to each individual business process?
the business blueprint comes up blank, but i have the structure, the master data and the business scenarios.
what am i missing in the setup?

    Hi Trevor,
If you are in Business Scenario Section in SOLAR01 -  make sure you select and give the following information.
    Organizational Unit
    Master Data
    Business Processes
    eg:-
if you select Sales as Business Scenario
once you click on Sales -  in your right hand side you will see Proj.Documentation Section there you upload your business process Document/Blue Print and Blueprint-Relevant Tab should be checked.
and make sure you have given the following.
    In Organizational Units
Sales Organization, Distribution Channel, Division, Sales Area, Sales Office  and Sales Group
    In Master Data
Customer Master Records, Product Master Records, Condition/Pricing,Cusotmer Employee Master..etc.
    In Business Process
    Sales Order Processing

  • TEMPLATE CHANGE OF BUSINESS BLUEPRINT-SOLAR01

    Dear Friends,
Our requiremnet is to replace the Standard business blue print template with our project specific template.
I did the settings as below.
SAP Solution Manager Implementation Guide->SAP Solution Manager->Scenario-Specific Settings->Implementation->Document Management->Generation of Documents->Adjust Template Files for Generation of Business Blueprint Document
    Selection 2
    Document
    SOLARBLUEPRINT.DOC
I have uploaded a customized Template with our project specific Header and footer and Logo.
When I generate the business blue print system adopting our customized template only for the first first page of the document. In all other pages it is taking the standard template with SAP Logo.
What should I do to get the customized template for the entire document.

    Hi,
I am working in Template management and Solution documentation for one of my client and he wants to have his own company name and logo on the first page of the Blueprint. Is it possible to change the layout of the predefined Blueprint Document ?
I have read the same  http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm71_sp05/helpdata/en/24/5ced3a88532030e10000000a11402f/content.htm
adjust the layout, but i am not sure as to how can I modify the solarblueprint.dot file that is generated when we create a blueprint document.
Please let me know the method to change the layout of the blueprint document.

  • Generating Business Blueprint in Word 2007

    Folks:
Does anyone have a fix for generating a Business Blueprint in Solution Manager when the document is generated in  2007. When you run the marco to build the blueprint, it does not link the documents and the blueprint is incomplete. This is not an issue if you are using Word 2003.
    Thanks

In MS Word 2007 change Micro Trust setting may help you.
    In menu>Word Options>Trust Center>Trust center settings>Enable All Micro.

  • Part 2: Flat files and Business Contents: Any issues with this scenario?

I will appreciate some clarification on the some points made in response to my previous post "Flat files and Business Contents: Any issues with this scenario?"
    1.
" ...you’d better analyze those cubes for data redundancy and presence of data you’ll never use. " I will appreciate some clarification on the type of analysis you are referring to. Examples will help.
    2.
"If you want to combine several found IOs in your custom dataprovider, then again you must know (or figure out) relationships between these IOs." I will appreciate some clarification on the type of relationship you are referring to. Examples will help.
    3.
I am a bit confused with "..include into ODS structure ALL fields required for the cube" but you also noted noted that "...except navigational attributes and chars and KFs that are going to be determined in TRs or URs."
If you exclude ALL these, haven't you excluded all the fields you included in the ODS structure?
    4.
"Consider carefully the ODS’ key fields selection. Their combination should not allow data aggregation that you don’t need."
I may be missing the point here, I understand that you need to select the fields which will form the unique ID for the records in the ODS under the Key Field (please correct me if I am wrong with the purpose of the Key Field), but I don't understand the discussion of "aggregation" in the context.
    Thanks in advance

    Hallo
I try to give some exaplanation based on the previous answer.
    1. Data redundancy - make sure you do not store the same information. does not make sense to have data redundanty across you Data Warehouse. this is also a cost. just sotre the same information one time if you get all what you need.
    2. whatwhever you build you dp, which consist of IO, you need to know with kind of relation (1:1 or 1:n - n:n and so on) exist between them. that will help you when you model you infoprovider. For example I would never pit togheter IO (n:m) in the same dimension if you expect an high number of cardinality. Sometime an IO can be an attribute of another one (depend on relation. For example
Business Partner and his Address. Usually you have a relation 1:1, in this case address is an attribute of BParten and store it in the Masterdata instead then DP
    3. Sometime when you load from ODS to CUBE, you can fill some IO (which are in the infocube and not in the ODS)through ABAP routine in TR-Start Routine of Update Rule. Does not make sense to include these IO in the ODS as they are NULL or Blank (the deault value). This can happen when for example, you first load in the ODS (Price and Quantity) and then you calculate Sell price later (Price * Quantity). of course it could be doen also in the Bex. Depends on other factors (Performance - Loaidng -Sizing)
    4. Make sure that the KEY definition of ODS is accordingly to the data otherwise you will aggregate the data and later maybe if you need the detail you miss it.
for example: customer - product - Distr Chan - Sell Price
if each Customer can buy each product for any Distrution Channel, then when you build your ODS(Customer - Product and Distribution must be KEY) otherwise (if you have only Customer - Product KEY for example) you will lose the details for Distribution Channel.
    I hope eveyrhting is clear
    Regards
    Mike

  • Sap pm business blueprints

    hi friends
I have a argent requirement of sap pm business blue prints
any one if have than please send me or tell me the link from i can get BBP
    thanx in advanced

    Hi,
It is not possible and advised to share blue prints of client. The best you can do is to download SAP Best Practices from SAP Service portal. Your colleague in BASIS team can help you download that, if required. Refer to the business blueprint made by SAP, that should give you good idea.

  • Business Blueprint

    Hello
I was reading an article on SAP and came across the word business blueprint. Is this something like your functional specifications or entirely different from that ?
Googled the word and came across a few blueprints but I am unable to co-relate it with SAP.
Kindly shed some light on blueprint in SAP and also request you to send some material on this, probably a sample blueprint.
    Thanks a lot
    Jessy

    Hi Jessy,
Business Blueprint is a phase in the project where you study the current business process of the client in As Is stage and then try to provide a solution to the business requirements in the To Be stage using the Best Practices suggested by SAP. The org structure, Transaction types, business steps, Gaps in the solution etc are maintained in the Business Blueprint doc.
Based on the BBP doc the realization is done in the realization phase.
Functional specifications are created when some functionality needs to be developed to meet the business requirement. The functional specification gives the functional requirement and the output desired from the technical development.

  • Generate customer specific Business Blueprint in SOLMAN

    Hi there,
i tried to establish a customer specific layout for the business blueprint that is generated by solution manager. starting off with the document header i replaced the logo in the solarblueprint.dot and .doc and uploaded both files to solution manager. after generating the blueprint there is the customer specific logo on the first page. on the other pages, there is still the sap-logo.
does anyone have a quick solution?
    cheers
    art

i won't get any points beceause it is my own question... but who cares
the problem is that the template-document has a new chapter starting after page one, which then is relevant for the rest of the document. so, the solution is pretty easy. for both, the .doc and the .dot document:
    1. Adjust the template header at page one.
    2. Click on the normal text field.
    3. Click a couple times on enter until page 2 shows up.
    4. adjust the header on page 2.
    5. save the document.
    6. upload the documen.
    7. create your bbp from solar01.
    Hope it helped you guys
    cheers

  • Difference between business blueprint and functional spec

    hello
can somebody please tell me the difference between business blueprint and functional spec and how they are interrelated
    Thanks

    Hi Comandante,
Business Blue print is a detailed documentation of the requirements gathered from client (The objects we need to develop are modified depending upon clients requirements). It represents the business process requirements of the company.  It is an agreed statement of how the company intends to run its business within SAP system.
Functional specifications (functional specs), in the end, are the blueprint for how you want a particular report and transaction to look and work. It details what the report will do, how a user will interact with it, and what it will look like. By creating a blueprint of the report or transaction first, time and productivity are saved during the development stage because the programmers can program instead of also working out the logic of the user-experience. It will also enable you to manage the expectations of your clients or management, as they will know exactly what to expect. Functional Spec streamlines the development process.
A functional specification  is a formal document used to describe in detail for software developers a product's intended capabilities, appearance, and interactions with users. It guidelines and continuing reference point as the developers write the programming code.
Other processes include Requirements, Objectives,Logic Specification,User documentation,The Final Product.
Hope this Helps, Revert for any further info.
    Cheers,
    Tanish

  • Difference between Business Blueprint and Configuration

    Hi all,
I'm new on using the Solution Manager and I really don't understand what's different in configuration and business blueprint.
