Business Conectior between EBP and CCM

Hi
I have one question
Do we require any business connector is for exchange of data between EBP and the catalog content management ?
I think we just need OCI for transfer of data ... Is there any other Business connector is required.
Nitin

Also - the OCI exchange is From Catalog -> EBP. Data exchange, like contract or product master data, requires configuration of SAP XI to achieve these requirements, as does usageof XML type upload files.

#2. I want intervention of Audit Team to complete this document
#3. I want intervention of Taxation team to release this document

Pls. guide me.

Hi NVS,
What Markus says is correct. There is the ability to import wsdl services into workflow for a service step in the process but in general you may have to develop an abap object as a wrapper to access the third party system.
My rule of thumb is that if 70-80% of the process is in the one system (Web AS supporting the application) then it's fine doing it with workflow otherwise you should look at a more structured approach to make sure you have a stable solution for the long term - BPEL is the defacto standard for dealing with such processes so you should be looking at XI for the process integration combining it with workflow or tasks for the human integration.
If it's a simple process and you don't have workflow know-how then guided procedures is a good intuitive approach.

• Can any please explain the integration business process between PS and CS

Dear Guru's
Can any please explain the integration business process between Project systems (PS) and customer service (CS).
Business Process: We do machinery Erection or commissioning, later we do provide service warranty for one year.
How we map this Business scenario in sap.
Regards,
Bhanu

basic steps for such a process would be
1) Use PS functionality for your machinery erection or commisioning work. Once the physical work is completed then close porject
2) Use CS functionality for warranty and service - set up the work as a functional location on customer site (PM/CS functionality)
3) Use service order to manage any service calls on the object which could require billing via SD module - bill value may be zero if under warranty

• Replication of text determination (business partner) between ERP and CRM

Hello,
in ERP I have maintained a text determination procedure Z1 and assigned it to the text object "KNA1". The textprocedure include the Text ID's "Z011" and "Z020".
In CRM exist the text object "KNA1" and "BUT000". I have customized a a text determination procedure "Z1" and the same Text ID's as in ERP, to booth text objects.
The text ID's don't be replicated, no matter i maintain it in CRM or ERP.
Can anybody tell me, how can I replicate the content of the text ID's? What is the relevant text object in CRM?
Thanks for help
Regards
Andreas

Andrea,
There are objects for replicating the data between CRM and CDB.
CRM_DNL_TTXOB and CRM_DNL_TTXID.
But none for replication between R/3 and CRM. WE need to maintain it manually.

• Viewing free/busy time between gmail and exchange

I have a need to allow users in a partner organization to see free/busy time in our calendars for scheduling. We are using Google Apps for Business. The partner organization is using Microsoft Office365.
If both were using O365, I know federation is possible. Is there anything similar with Gmail or any third part tools to allow both parties to see free/busy time on the others calendars?

Hi Brian,
I think the root cause is that the external URL was not on the E2K7 CAS servers for EWS.
You can set the URL using the below command:
Set-WebServicesVirtualDirectory -identity "CHIEXCH-CAS-P1\EWS (Default Web Site)" -externalurl https://***.***.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx
Set-WebServicesVirtualDirectory -identity "CHIEXCH-CAS-P2\EWS (Default Web Site)" -externalurl https://***.***.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx
Thanks,

• Relationship between Solution Manager Diagnostic and CCMS

We are just now looking at Solution Manager Diagnostics and central monitoring in Solution Manager. One thing we are not clear on, and haven't seen anything definitive on, is the relationship between these and CCMS.
Any insight or link to documentation would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Jeff Henke

Solution Manager Diagnostics is a diagnostic tool, not a real-time monitoring and alerting tool. CCMS is for real-time monitoring and alerting, and SMD does in fact get data from your CCMS agents, as well as from saposcol and Wily Introscope.
Hope that helps,
David.

• Integration between SRM and ERP in part of Business Partners

Hi all
Could we make integration between SRM and ERP in part of Business Partners if we use Standalone Scenario? Thanks

Hi
Any scenario, You have EBP system as well as you said you have ERP system too. so you can do BBPGETVD and pull the vendor records. Normally standalone system may not have ERP system. In standalone Your account payable system integrated with your EBP system.
If you want to create a vendors locally in SRM you can create local vendors via web BBPMAININT or BP in GUI.

• Difference between Technical and Business transaction archiving?

Hi Guys,
Can any one explain the difference between Technical and business transaction archiving with practical example?
When we will go for Technical archiving and when we will go for business transaction archiving?
Thanks,
Vinod.

Hello Vinod,
To me, Archiving Objects can be separated into 3 categories; Technical, Master Data and Transactional. Technical Archiving would include archive objects such as IDOC's, BC_SBAL (application logs), BDCLOGPROD (batch input logs), etc. Master Data Archive Objects would include MM_MATNR (material master), FI_ACCPAYB (vendor master data), FI_ACCRECV (customer master data), etc. And, Transactional Archive Objects would include FI_DOCUMNT (financial documents), SD_VBAK (sales orders), MM_EKKO (purchase orders), etc.
Techincal Archive Objects usually are easier to implement and require less resources. Master Data and Transactional Archive Objects usually take longer to implement as they will require business testing and sign-off.
This is a high-level explanation and I hope it helps answer your questions.

• Difference between business process, sales process and order process

what is the difference between business process, sales process and order process?

Dear Gopala,
business process is a general definition of the process which you have:
for example, you get an order, you have no goods, but you can produce them, you start an assambly processing, the production order will be created, then the goods will be prepatred, then the delivery will be created, the goods issue booked then your customer gets thwe goods and send the delivery confirmation, you create an invoice etc.etc.
sales process is a part of a business process.
Sales process shows how you sell the goods, there are different sales document categories to do this: sales orders, contracts, scheduling agreements etc.
order process is only one of possibilities of the sales process.
Order process is used if you get really a one-time (or at lease not on a regular basis many times) the simple orders where your customer says what goods he would like to receive and when. Then you create a sales order (in dialog transaction VA01) and can create a delivery. There are different types of sales orders in the standard. The customizing of sales order types is available under the transaction VOV8.
I hope, this info help you a little bit further to understand SD design.
Kind regards,
