Business dissemination is difficult without a comm...

Hi all,
I've been a dedicated Skype user since 2003 at work and at home. Using Skype at home is fine, but using it at work (and being its administrator) is only a problem because there is no simple way (that I can find) to link Skype to a common directory for all our company employees. Can I suggest the following:
An addition to Import from an LDAP/Active Directory source.
Fix the send > Contacts so that it has the 'Add all' option at the recipient end.
Allow Send > Contacts to pick up a group to be sent.
Ideally, the option to link an LDAP/Active Directory source (with filters) to a Group. (i.e. They can be expanded out as individual contacts, but only exist as a group). ..and for us Windows Admins, the option to add a Group Policy Object to Skype to apply this group to all Domain users.

If I've understood you correctly... We can create a business group in Skype Manager but there's no way of pulling that group together as a Contact list at the client end? (We have to manually import/invite from the desktop)
I've only just started playing with skype for business so may have got the wrong end of the stick - or it's been fixed now - but this seems pretty fundamental to me?

    I've two CC sender (RFC) for the same interface, one for each client. The test for one client is ok however the test in other client result with the follow error:

    in you case you dont ahve to use a part. You have different Business services.
    Configure you RFC adapters, one for each client.

  • Business system/service Service without party: info needed

    Hi,
    I am a newbie in XI world. I have a scenario of interfacing a 3rd party system to R/3 via XI. This system will dump a file to XI which needs to be converted to IDOC for R/3 use and later an outbound interface should send some data in a file format to this 3rd party system.
    As per various blogs, I have managed to define business system and basid IR config. Since this a 2 way asyncronous interface,  I wanted to know
    1> In XI, do I need to create a separate Buss System for 3rd Party sender interface( legacy->XI->R/3)
    and a new Buss system for 3rd party Receiver interface.(R/3->Xi>Legacy). However in R/3 should I can create only one and assign the inbound/outbound IDOC partner profiles. ( But do the names of legacy systems in R/3 and XI have to be same)
    2> What is the difference between Party and Service without Party( I saw these in ID). Do I need to define party for my interface scenario. If yes, How?
    3> For testing, I wanted XI to pick files from my desktop and then post to R/3. As per various sdn threads, I realise, I need to give the IP of my PC and use Service without party. Since I am new in this area, I do not know how to define this serv-without party for my scenario. Any blogs or threads which define this would be very helpful.

    For 3rd party sysytems u can directly configure in ID under bussiness service
    we will choose service without party when we are having A2A communication.
    A2A means application to application communication, it is used when two systems in same landscape try to communicate with each other. Systems in same landscape means both the systems are belongs to same organization or a company.
    Normally in A2A communication sender and receiver is inside one organization and developer have freedom to define communication rules .

    communication party (party for short) represents a larger unit, which is involved in a collaborative process. Using a communication party, you generally address a company within a cross-company process.That means we use party only when we r using B2B communcation.for example communication of two diffrent organization who r having different landscape.
    The matter of Party comes only when there are number of partners included in the environment. Thats usually happens in B2B systems. The services without party usually happens in normal A2A systems; were normal applications handle the message processing between systems and no multiple partners are interested in same data that are been handled.

    BUSINESS SERVICE CREATION STEPS:
    You can create the Business Service in ID itself.It is an abstract unit and it will act as Business System while exchanging the messages.In ID goto Service Without Party>Choose Business Service>Right Click and say as New>Give Servie Name as your Naming Conventions and choose u r configuration Scenario to adding the same> click on create>It will create the service and u can edit the service>u can find the tabs Receiver,Sender and etc--> Add ur Inbound/Outbound interfaces and corresponding Communication channels.

  • Business Objects InfoView translation (without language pack)

    We need to translate SAP BO InfoView interface. The language we require doesn't have native BO language pack.
    We discovered a bunch of .properties files, translated them, but not all of the texts was converted.
    Maybe someone could give me some advices, or some ideas for solution?

    Thank you for your reply.  The report is using an ODBC connection to the Access database that resides on the Business Objects server.  It is setup as a System DSN on that box, using the Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb, *.accdb) - as the Access db is v2007. 
    I can run the report on the server using this ODBC connection, and I'm assuming that when I run the report on demand in InfoView, it is using this connection as well.  The problem is only presented when I attempt to schedule the report.  The datasource is there as well.

  • Use-Case for Business Services (Service Without Party) in SAP XI

    Hi,
    I have a synchronous scenario where I am calling a web Service from SAP R/3 via SAP XI. I have designed the Integration Scenario in the Integration Repository, where I created an A2A role for the R/3 System and a B2B Role for the Web Service. For the Web Service Party in the Integration Directory I use a Business Service unterneath 'Service without Party' as the party for the Web Service is unknown.
    I realized that I cannot assign the Business Service to the defined Web Service Role when I want to use the Integrationscenario-Configurator. This only works when I ceate a Party and create the Business Service underneath this Party.
    I understand that this makes sense when I am having a B2B communication like in this case although I don't have a real external Party for the Web Service.
    But I don't understand for which cases I would create a Business Service underneath the 'Service without Party' as internal Systems are known and can be set-up as Business Systems in the SLD.
    Does anybody have such a case where I use an 'Internal' Business Service? And is there any way that I can use such a Business Service in the Business Integrationscenario-Configurator?

    Hi,
    for creatting a communication channel you will have to have either the Business system, Business service.
    For file systems which are generally just servers come under Business service. This is one of the place where you use Business service.

    In Windows 7 SP1, during installation (or later in "Control Panel\System and Security\System," under "Computer name, domain and Workgroup settings," click "Change Settings," than "Network ID") you get the following
    choice:
    This Computer Is Part of a Business Network; I Use It to Connect to Other Computers at Work.
    This Computer Is a Home Computer; It is Not Part of a Business Network.
    If you choose the former, you get the further choice:
    My Company Uses a Network With a Domain
    My Company Uses a Network Without a Domain
    "Home Computer" is straightforward and allows you to set up a Workgroup or a Homegroup.  "Business Network" followed by "Without a Domain" appears to behave the same way but is **reputed** to prevent homegroups (which is
    desirable) and in general to provide a higher level of networking security.  Is either of these assertions actually true?

    This choice could affect many registry entries. It's hard to figure out every entry.
    For example, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Group Policy\History
    there is Machine Domain entry stand the current domain name.
    When you choose any one of them, after restart, registry entry will adjust this new settings.
    In addition, Business network without domain and home network is different. since the domain network have some security restriction for all domain network no matter if you are in doamin or out of domain.

  • BT Business Broadband cut off!!!

    I must say that I am absolutely appalled at BTs service, I cannot express how distressed and annoyed BT have made.
    7th Jan I asked for a internal transfer of my phone and broadband from one office to another office within the same. Told this was fine, they logged it, gave me a reference and said it would happen last week of Jan/ first week in Feb but would be called in advance with a date of when it would happen...
    24th Jan, go to office to discover broadband been disconnected. Took two days of countless calls to discover that they cut me off at "my request" and the new line would be installed in new office on 4th Feb! How do they expect a business customer to go without broadband for this length of time!!!??? Spoke to Jackie Kirkpatrick in Dublin customer option who told me "this had BTs mistakes written all over it" and this should not have happen. An internal transfer should be a seamless process with minimal disruption. Logged a complaint for me. At this point I was so angered and frustrated that decided I could not trust BT and wanted to leave given what they put me through - all this whist trying to run a business. Jackie siad he would presonally follow this through and would get back to me...
    It is now 4th Feb and still haven't had the pleasure of his call.
    Over the last week or so made countless calls to BT trying to resolve, get answers and I am sick of explaining yself over and over again. I called yesterday asking to speak to complaints team about my complaint and said they couldn't transfer me through!
    Ive spent hours on hold being transferred from dept to dept and explained myself over and over again
    Meanwhile, get a bill for £650 for period April - Aug 2011 when a few weeks ago I asked to be put on monthly billing.
    I have written an official complaint to BT and Ofcom
    I have had enough and just want out
    I am disgusted that they are running a business this way
    I know I am not the only one that has to endure such a dis-service. How do they get away with it?????

    tbh, I've given up reading your posts as it's now getting very very boring.
    You've clearly got issues, which if you were to produce one clear post, listing these issues and politely asking for help, I'm sure you'd get it, either from other customers or BT themselves.
    Now I'm not one to defend BT, but attacking my fellow customers (noticed on some of your many repetative posts) is really not on. Also personally attacking a forum mod will lead to a simple resolution - you'll get banned from here, simple as that. Calm down, post your issues, sit back and wait for help or produce a polite email and fire it off to the mods or higher up the chain if you so wish.

  • OneDrive for Business sync app when using Office 2010

    Hi,
    My clients use Office 2010. They all have SharePoint Workspace installed as well, thought, they don't use it.
    As part of new SharePoint 2013 on-premise roll-out, I have to find a method to silently install OneDrive for Business into clients machines, without disruption to the use of Office 2010. They will use OneDrive for business to sync their team sites libraries
    and their personal site library.
    So far, I have no success.
    What I tried:
    -Standalone OneDrive Pro client exe Setup.x86.en-us_GrooveRetail_3V9N8-W93CC-FQPB8-Y9WVF-TVGJ3_TX_PR_.exe
    It seems there is no way to run it silently anyway. Is there?
    basically, this package still connects to the internet to download modules and it prompts user for some interaction while installing. I NEED IT SILENT.
    -Building OCT package out of Office 2013 installation media. I selected to only install Groove(OneDrive) and leave existing Office product intact. Then I run it from setup.exe /adminfile //location/onlygroove.MSP
    It provisions SkyDrive Pro client (note the name, I used Office 2013 without SP1 media)
    Problems with that:
    1.After installing Office 2013 SP1, client name is still SkyDrive Pro 2013, but sync folder actually changed, some other user interface places are also updated
    2.After silent run, Office 2010 experience problems: Outlook 2010 crushes on start 3 times, then it attempts to run repair, Repair will fix outlook, but it also sets SharePoint workspace as a default client for sync. Running Office 2013 repair will break
    Outlook again. The solution is to uninstall SharePoint workspace, then run Office 2013 repair, then Office 2010 repair again - this way I have SkyDrive Pro as a sync app and Outlook 2010 working.
    As you see, I have problems with having seamless silent OneDrive for Business sync app installation. Even asking clients to install it manually would be too hard for them. Annoying thing is that if you click the exe file to run, it takes about 2 minutes
    before user sees anything happening on a screen. I can see users getting confused if they actually initiated a process of not!
    What am I missing ?
    Any other way to provision it in bulk to my users? Any help appreciated.

    I think we're all waiting on Microsoft to (quickly) address this. Its unacceptable.
    It is seriously unacceptable, and I am having the same problems. Even running tests locally and I am a domain admin, I come across admin permission errors. I have tried amending the config file and creating a new one (onedrive_download.xml), creating a new
    folder as a temp test and running the OneDrive for Business pack (extracted). These are the errors I get (on my own admin PC).

      i have defined a follow-up action and assigned a customized mail-sending fm to it..my doubts are, i am on 4.7..am able to send the mail to an internal id, but the problem is without using commit work and submit rsconn01 commands, am failing in doing the same...i have read in a thread that commit work or submit (if the called program uses commit work) will cause data inconsistencies and will trigger locks if it's used in any user-exit or badi...but in my case, when will a follow-up action actually take place? will it happen after all the database commits? if so, then i believe that even i use commit work and submit commands in my z mail sending fm, it wouldn't cause any problems...am just sort of afraid whether this approach is the correct one? or triggering the mail code from the last user exit or badi itself will solve the purpose? i believe not..please guide me on this friends...helpful replies will be appreciated and awarded..thanks in advance

  • When I export a playlist and then open in excel, do whatever sorting I want, I then save the file and reimport into itunes but not all the songs are there. It appears to be from "comma's" in the song name. Any solutions?

    I see songs such as "Monday, Monday" or "Paint It, Black" or even the artist name such as "Fireballs, with Jimmy Gilmer" which have comma's in them, being a problem when I try to do the following:
    1. Export a playlist which contains songs which are all there and play fine, but some have comma's in the title such as listed above.
    2. I then open that file in Excel and bring it in as a Tab-delimited file.  Everything lays out fine, and all the songs are thing (including those with comma's).
    3. I then sort the varoius fields I want (which I can't do in i-tunes because i-tunes won't sort it properly), and resave the file as a newly named file, which is also a .txt file.
    4. I then import that playlist into my itunes. It is exactly the same songs that I just had exported but i-tunes says some of the songs can't be found.
    I have traced this problem to comma's in the file name of the song such as listed above.  There must be a solution to this either as the file is opened in excel or in how it's saved or some other solution short of having to rename song/artists without using comma's.

    The additional problem is the file name of the song itself.  Even if I were able to delete the commas or replace with a space for example, changing the file name would result in itunes not being able to find the file.  I would have to go through each file (out of about 15,000+ songs) to find any that have titles such as described in this thread and change not only the song and artist in the fields, but changing the mp3 file itself. 
    I fear that I am really pretty much going to have to start with a list of songs that have no comma and then do a file compare to find those songs with commas and then just physically moving them into a new playlist I'm trying to create, but this is a royal pain as I want to be able to create a variety of playlists based on these chart dates/peak positions. 
    I'm trying to sort the songs in this manner:  I use different fields in itunes so that I can put the "peak position" of each song based on Billboard charts, as well as the date the peak position was acheived. I use the "comment box" for that.  I use the "grouping" field for my peak position.
    So I end up with something like "10/14/1980" in the comment box as the peak position for a song which is in the grouping field, and so forth.  If I try to sort the comments column in itunes for example, it won't sort properly. If I sort the Grouping field, it will bring up all the "1's", but that's followed by "10", 11, ...19, then "2", etc.  This is why I want to export the playlist and sort it as I want, and then reimport the playlist into itunes. 
    What I'm ultimately trying to achieve is a year-by-year peak position playlist so that I end up with every #1 song (in this case) from, say, January 1st 1980 and then every #1 song in sequential order for the rest of the year falls in line.  I have chart position dates from 1955 through 1999.  I have entered in all the data from Billboard books I own so I can really create some amazing playlists, but these commas are problematic. Had I known this ahead of time I would have made "Monday, Monday" as "Monday Monday" and not included commas, but it's too late for that.
    Any suggestions?

    While searching for the Business Partner in Web UI either by First Name, last name or Account ID, we are getting following error:

    Exception class: CX_BOL_EXCEPTION - Access previously deleted Entity
    Method: CL_CRM_BOL_ENTITY=>GET_ROOT

    When the business partner blind search is given (i.e. by entering *), all the business partners get displayed without any problem.
    Also, this problem occurs only for some business partners and NOT ALL.
    This problem, has also been observed sometimes when an IBase entry is created in the background.
    We are not quite sure whether notes, 135814 & 1515327 will help us in this regard, as the root cause is still unknown.
    Could anyone suggest possible causes and solution for the same. We are on CRM 7, using the standard business role.

    We have observed that this problem is peculiar with the data records attached to IBase ONLY. It means, if we process them further e.g. create a contract for the Business Partner after attaching the IBase, this problem doesnt occur. Then we are able to search the BP without any error.
    In short, when an IBase is created for a BP, and if a search is given for such BP, the error given in the first thread occurs, But when an IBase is created and immediately after that a contract is attached to the BP, and if a search is given for such BP, then there is no error.
    We are still further investigating the root cause. But any suggestion/inputs are welcome.
