Want to know how to debug the Business Object Method called from CRM

Hi all,
I have to debug a Method of a custom Business Object. This is being called when a certain action is performed
on the CRM ( CIC0 screen). I can not see an option to set an external break point in the Program of the Business Object
Method.
This Business Object calls a standard SAP FM. I tried setting an external break point in that FM and tried executing that.
But it is not stopping there.
Can any one please let me know how I can debug this when triggered from CRM?

I have tried checking the option 'IP MATCHING' option. I have given my user id and also the 'WEBUSER' as well.
But still I am unable to debug the application.

How to debug Z-Prgram defined under Business Object

Dear Members,
I have been trying to debug one Z-program which was defined under Business object(ZBUS2032OS) [ the method of business object is called from VA02(sales order Change], but I couldn't get the proper way to go into debug mode.
I tried by putting break points in the z-program and in the code of business object(where z-program is being called by SUBMIT statement). But I failed to go into debug mode of the program.
Could any one please share your experience in this case?

I have checked the process (creating sub orders in VA02) by giving parent sales order, the program had been triggerd(Z-program) in back ground and created sub orders. But I did not get the debug mode(break point was set).
I want to know what is link between Business object type(where program was defined) and Transaction VA02.

Problems with Java and Business Objects

Hello everybody, I'm new in BusinessObjects/Crystal Report. Now, I have some problems with Business Objects for Java (Business Objects XI Release 2 Developer). 1) I create a report in the report designer. This report has a parameterfield. Before I run this report within a jsp web application I want fill the parameterfield with some values from the database. I found the following code snippet for this problem in your forum. But it don't works right, because it occurs a simple input field instead of a combo box with my database values. Where is my mistake? I need the combo box! MS .NET has a thing called Business Objects but they only work in .NET.

Error Workflow not assigned to business object

Hi Team,
    I am working on CRM 7.0 system
     I have a Z business object ,and I have created a new workflow and called one of the method of the z business object.
And I am trying to trigger this workflow through a action definition based on status.while creating the action definition with respect to workflow I am getting the error "assigned BOR object type is not used in any workflows" no F4 values
      I have debugged and found that the entry in the table SWDSCNTIDX is not correct.
Kindly request you to guide me how to assign workflow to business object or how can I refer the workflow what I have created in action definition.

Hi,
You have to go the workflow change container element of that BOR e.g. "BUS2010030" and on tab "properties" check the checkbox "IMPORT" and "MANDATORY".
Doing the above BOR will be available in the F4 help of actions profile wizard or conditions.

Get information about business object from view implementation class

i´d like to develop some button behavior in a view. How can i get the information of the related business object like the order or the position. I like to disable buttons if specific status are set.

If you want to read STATUS_DESCR attribute from the context node SELECTEDDOC , then code like this

activtae the debugging in IF_BSP_WD_TOOLBAR_CALLBACK~GET_BUTTONS method and check the values for context nodes and attributes.
I mean debugging for:

Attributes Problem in Business Object

Hi,
We had a requirement of creating a new Business Object with a couple of attributes(both Database and Virtual Attributes)
So, as per the requirement, I created my Business Object with all the required attributes. And I have coded the required Business Logic for my Virtual Attributes.
Now, I created my Business Object's method's using these attributes(OBJECT-ATTRIBUTE_NAME) in my methods wherever required.
Finally, I tested the Business Object in SWO1(Business Object Builder), here are my observations...
1) The Database attributes is getting created properly and I can see the values for the required
2) The Virtual Attributes are getting created as per the Business Logic and I can see the desired result for this also.
3) The methods are giving desired results.
Now, my doubt is, when I trigger one of this Business Object's method from workflow, the attribute values(OBJECT-ATTRIBUTE_VALUE) are not visible inside the method. But if I test the same BO using SWO1, I can see all the Attribute values(OBJECT-KEYFIELDS).
I can only see the KEY FIELDS of the Business Object in Debug mode, I mean, I can view OBJECT-KEY-KEYFIELD value, but not the OBJECT-ATTRIBUTENAME inside the BO'S method in Debug mode-when triggered from Workflow.
Well, I am triggering the Workflow using the SWUD transaction and infact I am creating the required Instances in the first screen of SWUD.
Can anyone make me clear why this is happening?

Well, I think I didnt explain my problem clearly...
Well, here is my clear explanation.
I created a new Business Object named ZOBJECT say...
It has 3 key fields...
PERNR(Employee Number),BEGDA(Start Date) and ENDDA(End Date)
It has 2 attributes...
One is a Databsase Attribute - ENAME which gets populated from database PA0001.
Another is a Virtual Attribute - EMAILID which gets populated from some Business Logic.
And it has one Event...ZEVENT
It has one method...
SENDMAIL - Which sends the email to the EMAILID Attribute.So my coding looks something like this...
METHOD SENDMAIL.
DATA : W_FROMEMAIL TYPE PA0105-USRID_LONG,
 W_TOEMAIL TYPE PA0105-USRID_LONG,
 W_SUBJECT(100),
 IT_TEXT TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF SOLI.
W_FROMEMAIL = '[email protected]'.
W_TOEMAIL = OBJECT-EMAILID.
W_SUBJECT = 'Test Mail'.
Populate the mail content into IT_TEXT Internal table

So as shown above I designed my Business Object.
And I tested this Business Object from SWO1(Business Object Builder) Transaction itself. I am able to get the desired result. Everything seems perfect till now.
Now, I created my workflow with ZOBJECT-ZEVENT as the Start Event.
I created one Standard Task to send EMail which in turn calls up my ZOBJECT-SENDEMAIL Method.
So when I called this method, I found that OBJECT-EMAIL inside the method is not populated, ultimately, no mail is going.
I dont understand why the attribute values are not populated when I call the same method from workflow.
When I checked the workflow log, I can see my attribute values for the ZOBJECT. But in the Method, I cant access the attribute values as such...But I am able to access the Key fields of the method...
Can anybody explain me the reason for this behavior?
I checked the BINDING, Everthing seems perfect from this side...So I dont think it's a binding problem.

BSP and Business Object

Hello there,
I created Business Object A copied form PRINTDOC. I added new attributes call CUTDATE. And I create a program to calculate CUTDATE.
When I test the business object the cut date is populated.
I execute tcode EHVD and ENVD to check CUTDATE so that it will visiable to use in HTMLB or XSLT.
I edit XSLT program to include CUTDATE.
Here is the problem. There is no value passed for CUTDATE from ZPRINTDOC. The value shows NaN/NaN/Nan.
I believe the implemented program in ZPRINTDOC for CUTDATE was not executed when called from CIC0.
FYI, before this, I added NETDUEDATE reference as database field ERDK-FAEDN and it works. I did same for CUTDATE except define as virtual field and use program to populated the date.
Please give me some tips. If you want the source I can sent over.

Crashing Sequencer with Business Objects XI 3.1 SP6

First day back to work in 2015 and I get this stinker of an application!
Business Objects XI 3.1 SP6 crashes the sequencer when you try to go past the first application launch stage. It still crashes if you choose the quick save option, which is my usual method for dealing with a crashing sequencer. It happens on SP3 and SP2
HF4.
The error reads:
"startIndex cannot be larger than length of string.
Parameter name: startIndex"
Event Viewer debug logs do not show anything to go on, nor did Procmon. I also tried installing to the PVAD.
I'm going to get in touch with MS about this, but just putting it out there in case anybody has seen this before?

I've managed to resolve this for now by sequencing in 4.6 SP3 and then converting with the PowerShell cmdlet!

Error during create business object with XACML schema

Hi
I can't create a policyset business object with access_control-xacml-2.0-policy-schema-cd-04.xsd schema file in Jdeveloper 11.1.1.3 with bpm11g extension.
it raise bellow error message.

after download the zip file ,you only need the access_control-xacml-2.0-policy-schema-cd-04.xsd file,
start Jdeveloper in debug mode(run jdev in console), import xsd file to bpm project, and create the business object, then
you will got bellow error message.
Does any one know how to solve it?

I think you have created GL as cost element.
Now you have to assign it in OKB9 - Display View "Account assignment" : Overview
In OKB9 specify weather this cost element give impact to cost center or profitability segment.
You have a cost account defined in accounts determination (OBYC). But every cost account must have a cost object associated (internal order, cost center, and so on).
You must decide what is the cost object to 'receive' the cost value on the account.
Go to OKB9, insert the account (can be plant dependant) and the cost object, then repeat GR.

No entry for User Business Object found

Hello All,
I'm using ISA 4.0 for R/3-Edition with SP9.
My problem is that i receive an empty site after the login.
With debugging i have found the error in BackendObjectManagerImpl.java on Line 134:
    if (boc == null)
      throw new BackendException("No entry for " + beBOType + " Business Object found");
the problem is that boc == null...and i don't know what that is?and where this boc == null can come from?Can somebody help me please?
beBOType = "User", that i see at the isaerror.log .

Check BUS2037 which may be the Business Object. As no events Create a Custome Change Document Object using SCDO.
check VFM Package for other BO if any.
Firstly debug the exits and check which BO is used so that you can create a subtype.

The only option in this case is to 1) use Business Objects' Data Federator to bring XYZ data and BW (new) data together, 2) creating a relational universe, and 3) creating Crystal / WEBI reports using the relational universe; see Picture 1.

SAP Log on into Business Objects server not working (Error FWB 00014)

Hello,
I recently installed Business Objects XI 3.1 Edge series, I am able to logon to enterprise and everything is working fine. I am even able to import roles from SAP system but I have two problems.
1. Logging on to enterprise using SAP user: I am getting the following error message when I choose SAP in the Athentication and enter SAP username and password and click log on.
"Account Information Not Recognized: All of your system's 0 Concurrent Access Licenses are in use at this time or your system's license key has expired. Try again later or contact your administrator to obtain additional licenses. (FWB 00014)".
2. Logging on to SAP system through SAP Logon pad: When I enter my username and passord in SAP system from the same server as I installed BusinessObjects I am getting a run time error.
Did any one of you had the same problem or does any one of you have any clue how to solve this?

Hi,
I assume that you have a key for named licences (You can check this in the CMC under Licence keys).
What you need to do is to go in the CMC, navigate to Authentication->SAP->Options and select the Named users option.

BAPI's are associated with Business Objects and also they are RFC enabled.
But RFC's are the FM's which can be called from external systems, those FM's can be used in many places based on the applications..
