Button not updating report

I have an app on apex.oracle.com
Workspace: DEANNA2

To login to the app:

Starting from page 21, I click on 'Add New Case' button which takes me to page 23. I enter in a Case# and then press the 'Save Request' button. Everything works fine up until i enter in additional information on the same page. For example: If i select 'Open' from the select list 'Case Status' and then click on the 'Apply Changes' button, it displays the success message like it updated but if you go back to the report page(page 21) by clicking on the 'RETURN TO CASE LIST' Link at the top left of the page, the only thing that ends up displaying is the case# i had initially saved. It also displays like that as well in the database. What is wrong with my button? Can anyone take a look and see what i am doing wrong?

Hello:
The presence of a value in the page-item declared as the page-item containing the PK value determines whether the Automatic Row Processing (DML) process will do an Update of the underlying table.
For your case it means that the page-item designated as the PK page-item, P23_RECNUM needs to have the PK value for the ARP to do an update. So, when you first create a new case you need to store off the PK generated f(presumably in a trigger here) ifor this record into P23_RECNUM. This is done by setting the ''Retunr Key Inti Item' field in the ARP definition to P23_RECNUM.

I am having trouble with an Echosing button: It works perfectly in Sandbox and the button code there looks like this:

The sandbox button works perfectly. The Production button, when clicked, takes me to the test.sandbox login page. So when I login (using my sandbox creds) it takes me to the correct page BUT in the Sandbox!
So can anyone find a problem with the button code OR have any familiararity with Echosign settings that may need to be updated?

be different too for your production environment.
Also not how we document to use custom buttons, have you have a look at the customization guide on how to add custom buttons to send esign agreements? (page 25 onwards)
For example page 35 of the v15 customization guide:
Example: You can define a ‘Send to EchoSign’ button so that when clicked, it will bring the user to a specified URL or back to the record instead of going to the Agreement page. To define this button, use this string as an example:
/apex/echosign_dev1__AgreementTemplateProcess?masterid={!Account.Id}&templateId=a01U00000 04pImMwhere&retURL=/{!Account.Id}
where templateId should be set to the specific ID of the agreement template that is to be used.

Insert not working in updatable report

I have created an updatable report using the htmldb_item function with the facility to display an extra row (in order to create a new row).
I have then created a Create button that branches to the same page as the updatable reportn and a Branch.
I then created an after submit process that makes the insert of the data.
But apparently the process is not fired when I click the create button.
How do I have to do to fire a Submit on the page in order for my process to be run?

Just to amplify MtD's explanation, if you start to move a SINGLE clip and THEN hold down the Option key, the arrow will change form so that it has a 90 degree bend in it. Then when you release the clip in a new position by letting go of the mouse button, not only will it "insert" into the timeline at that position, but the gap in the timeline (where you pulled it from) will close.
It's really helpful when you are rearranging sound bites and don't want to have to manually close up the holes in the timeline. Unfortunately this only works when you are grabbing a single clip. If you do it with multiple clips it will still insert, but will leave an open hole in the timeline where you pulled the group from. Having Snapping (N) turned on is very helpful for this operation, by the way.

Print Button of SSRS report is not display report in IE11

We are running on SSRS 11.0.0.0, .net framework 4.5, SQL server 2012.
Everything is working fine in IE9, IE10, now our client has updated their browser to IE11. In IE11 the print button in SSRS report is not showing. We have tried browser file,
it will show print button in IE11 but it is not functional. we have also tried to change browser mode to IE 10 or IE 9 (using <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=8" />) but it didn't work in IE 11.
Some forum suggested to change framework to 4.5.1 but i
cant change framework now. so please suggest some alternatives to achieves the functionality.

Form with report, update field in the form = field is not updated in table

Hi,
I have a form with report. On Primary Key in the report is a link to the form. I select one row in the form by choosing the link in the report. Then I update a field in the form and press "Save". I see the success message "Action processed" and I'll be back in the report. I see the field in the report with it's old content. It is not updated. I don't understand why. Can anybody help me?

Is the form field source set to the proper database column? It's either not properly defined or your Save button and the builtin update process have somehow become disconnected. Check to make sure that the Save button is set to perform an Update in the database operations setting.

Parameters on linked report not updating

Hi,
I updated a report adding parameter expressions. A linked report based on the report I updated didn't get the parameter expressions when I deployed the base report. Anybody else having that issue? It's not much of a problem. I just have to recreate the linked report which is a nusance.

I know this question is old, but I had the same problem today, and I think the answer is useful.
When you deploy a new "main" report, the linked reports are NOT updated automatically, so you need to refresh them. You can do this easily from the Report Manager:
1 - Update the main report;
2 - Go to the linked report, use the "Manage" menu, and in the "Properties" tab click in the "Change Link" button:
3 - In the following screen, select the main report, and click "OK". This will refresh the linked report with the modified main report:
4 - Once you're back to the previous screen, click the "Apply" button, to really update the linked report.
5 - VERY IMPORTANT: Since you changed the main report, all the previous adjustments you made in the linked report parameters were lost - like Null, Hide, Prompt User and Display Text, only the Default Value is preserved - so GO TO THE PARAMETERS tab and
adjust the linked report parameters again!!!

Apex 4.0 Image Buttons to update SQL Where clause of Report?

I made a table called Letters with 1 column in it called Letter and the data in it is simply A,B,C, to H. I made an apex form around this table and then created two image buttons A and B that display above the reporting area b/c i want to be able to click on the A image button and have it update the Where clause for the Letters table to be "Where Letter = A" (so once you click the A button, only the A will appear), same for the B button. I have attached a link to an album of images to show what i'm trying to do to better explain it. I just can't figure out what or how to make it so that the image button can update the where clause. I should note that i am relatively new to Apex and i tried using a dynamic action to do it but can't get this to work.

Since you are using some kind of button(with images or otherwise) , add some attributes to identify them together aswell as uniquely.
For instance if you add a name and an a common classname to each button
For example, in button attributes for A this could be
name="A" class="where_clause_button"You can use these attributes to trigger a Dynamic action which can refresh the report.
Since you want the report to be filtered based on the button(ie using the "name" attribute of the corresponding button) , you need to set that value in some hidden item, say P100_FILTER_LETTER. and add a where clase to your Report Region' SQL Query

Button styles not updating actions

Hi there,
I've created a button style (in this case an exit button), which updates the appearance of all of the buttons defined by that style fine, however the action for that button does not.
Is there a way to make it do so, as I'd rather not having to update 70+ buttons every time I need to alter some minor? Or is that just the way it is in Captivate?

Button Styles are separate from actions. The style controls the visual aspects of the Button. Each Button will have its own action. Many folks would likely be very frustrated if the action were forced to be the same for all Buttons when you changed a style.
Perhaps you should submit a Wish Form to Adobe to ask for a feature that allows you to also specify actions if you want. Link is in my sig.

Bug report: text does not update on the stage

I am not sure whether this has been reported:
I have several groups divs into one main group div. In these are images and text. I create a new group by copying elements from a previous group and then insert new text in the copied text box. The text does not update on the stage but is correct when I run the composition and also in the text panel.

I tried all day and is intermittent, why?, 'cause the numbers are now showing but the other texts not, this happen only on Chrome and Safari when the navigator screen increases size.

Update button in sql report for each row can only get the report value

I have to added Update for each row of records like:

then go to the report->edit button ->Column Link
I added some items P40_REGION, P40_CHAMPID,P40_ACTIVE,P40_CODE and assign the value like #region#,#active# ,#code# to these item, but when I click the update button in the report I found the values such as #region#,#active# ,#code# is the report value not the select list selected value(the region, active column are displayed as select list lov).
Can anyone tell me how to sort this knid of problem?

Sorry, it doesn't work. I also tried apex_application.g_f01(i), but not everytime I can get the value or get the incorrect value. If you have time you can try to create it like what I have described. Our team use two days now but still can not sort this problem.

Adding update and delete buttons to a Report from SQL Query

There is an option when creating a QBE to add update and delete
links which i find quite useful, but this option doesn't seem to
be possible on a Report from SQL Query. Do i need to do
something special to add them? is the option located in a
different place?

You can only add Update ,Delete in QBE Reports,
there is no option in Portal which can be used to
have these buttons in the Reports from Query Wizard or
Report from SQL Query.

REPORT VIEWER- PRINT BUTTON- NOT PRINTING ONLY IN SOME MACHINES

I built a project in VS2008(VB.Net) and it uses RDLC reports...When ive published my software i tried and it works fine and can print successfully on my machine but when i tried on the target machine i can export to pdf but i cant print the files directly
using the print button on the report viewer...What is the problem? Thanking you in advance.

Which browser did your used in the target machine? The issue may happens when you use none-IE browser.
The ClientPrint control of the Report Viewer control is based off of ActiveX and is not designed to work in none-IE browsers. This is a known issue in Report Viewer control.
To workaround this issue, you can try to use custom control or ActiveX control to get the print option enabled for the Report Viewer.

It appears like you may have a hardware issue with your ringer button and internal speaker that came to light after the update. If you have already restored your iPhone back to factory settings using iTunes, you may need to have your phone serviced.
Some potential good news... Check your headphone jack for lint. There may be enough to cause a muffled connection. You can try to blow it out with compressed air or very carefully pulling out any solid objects that may affect the connection.

i had a problem with my wifes iphone 4s, today morning while travelling to work i changed a setting on repeat option and changed it to repeat artist, it was fine until when i finish my work and on my way back i found songs are not playing anymore, lots of stop signs next to my song list, play/pause button not working, album arkwork keep moving from one to another on its own, so after i reach home i try to do some research on Apple support communities, try to soft reset my phone closing all the apps on background didnt work, also note that control centre music player was not working as well. none of the solutions worked. after trying for two hours i found out that the trouble is in repeat options , so i changed it from repeat artist to repeat off. and the music start playing as usual, but i still have those stop buttons next to the songs i tried to play earlier. At least it fixed temporarily. please also note that in the meantime i tried to sync my phone with the pc and suddenly its start syncing all the songs again assuming there were no songs on my iphone. so guys i think soft reset might not help all the time but try to remember what settings you changed recently and change it back to the original option, not sure ,but it might help.

Hi We have uploaded all the values in 2008 with 2008 date. fiscal year is K4.
F.08 Report for the year 2008 is showing only 2008 accumulated values. But not showing the Opening balances which we have uploaded in 2008 for the before years like 2007.
