Button Rollovers not Appearing after burning

Hello,
Need some help. I created a DVDSP project with multiple menus and multiple tracks. Everything has been connected correctly, along with using a standard Overlay (white when you rollover, yellow when you select). All end jumps are fine, in fact in Simulator, it's picture perfect.
The problem is when I burn the DVD and test, I cannot see where my activate button is. I cannot see either on a Mac in DVD Player or in a stand alone DVD Player.
Is there a setting I'm missing to make the tracks (buttons) viewable in each Menu?
For example, Menu 2 has 6 tracks. When I select Menu 2, there is no white box to tell me where I am.
In Simulator it's a snap, work perfectly. After burning it's guess where you are...

OK - so you have the background as m2v - that's fine. Did you remember to create an overlay file? It is this that will give colour to the rollovers...
A dash, underline, arrowhead, dot, splodge or whatever is normal to see on menus as buttons are selected. These shapes are in the overlay (actually a part of the subpicture stream) and are shown when the button is selected. At all other times they are transparent. In your case, if you don't want an underline, you need to copy the text in the background footage into an overlay file.
An overlay is simply a still image (usually a pict, not JPG - they are not good to use) which is the same size as your video format (720x480, etc) It is mostly white and only has the shapes that you wish to appear as the rollover - in your case some text. You can either do it in grayscale or use colour - the colours get 'mapped' in DVDSP and for ease, use grayscale.
To line up the words you want, take a still form the background movie and use this as a guide in photoshop. Hide that layer when exporting your pict file.
When you import into DVDSP and add it to your menu you will then be able to colour the text as you roll over it. Without an overlay file you are left using the built in text tools, and yes, they can look very blocky. IMO, by far the best look is achieved when you don't use text as he highlight, but use some other shape instead, usually alongside the text somehow. It's a personal preference, and I'm sure you've got ideas of your own!

I can't figure this out and it is really causing problems.
I have a 20 question quiz randomly pulled from questions pools. I am publishing this as Scorm 2004 and delivering via I SPring scorm compliant LMS.
The requirement to pass is 100%.
On the results slide I have a review quiz button, retake quiz button, and a continue button.
If a user does not pass the first time they either retake the quiz or review the quiz first.
If they review the quiz, when they return to the results slide the Retake quiz button is no longer there, and I cannot seem to come up with a way to make it appear, or reset the quiz for a 2nd attempt.
I have Completed settings to 100% on Quiz.
Pass settings to 100% on quiz.
I am showing the retake button.
I have set it to "Unlimited attempts"
Any suggestions? It seems to lie in the link between reaching the results slide from the review path rather from an attempt path?

Hello,
Bad news, because that is the way Quizzes are designed in Captivate. Reviewing will disable any future attempts, is meant only to be used after attempts are exhausted. For that reason personally I will hide the Review button by dragging it under the Retake button for quizzes.

Main Menu Button will not Highlight after burn!

I'm creating a DVD that has multiple motion menus w/each menu consisting of around three to 10 buttons. These motion menus were created in AE & I made overlays from the AE files in Photoshop. I'm using the simple highlight state for all of my buttons & everything has been playing back smoothly in the simulator...
However, when i burn a dvd the first button on my first play menu doesn't load & reamains unhighlightable even though I can still select it. All of my other buttons in this menu highlight on/off as they should. And this isn't just happening in my main menu, but in about 1/3 of the menus I've created for this project.
I've looked through the discussion pages, talked to Apple, and tried to create some simple scripts to work around the problem, but to no avail. If anyone can help me out w/this seemingly simple, yet incredibly frustrating problem I'd be most appreciative!

Are you using AC3 audio?
What player are you looking at the dvd on?
I have an el cheapo Cyberhome that gets all kinds of funky on some menus--does similar things to what you are saying.

Found OSS note to fix problem
Standard implementaion of Badi BADI BBP_WFL_SECUR_BADI had got activated because of OSS note 1022237 which got applied as part of SP 14. This BAdi was setting the WFL security level to 0 for all users.
After deactivation of Badi Change button is appearing

Buttons not appearing after exporting to Interactive PDF

I created buttons on my master page in InDesign with the event "on click" and actions "go to first page", "go to last page", "go to previous page", and "go to next page". Then I applied my master page to all the pages in my document. On certain pages I override the item on the master page and gave the button a different action (go to text anchor). Then I exported to Adobe PDF (Interactive). When I view the PDF, most of the Master Page buttons do not appear. This doesn't happen every time. I have created documents that work with this setup, but this one document will not work properly. Any suggestions?

Have you checked the filtering option in contacts? Open contact menu button > filter. Perhaps you have a filter hiding the contacts.

For PDF documents the "archive as" button do not appear but only the "active" button. Please help me?

My "achive as" button do not appear when im trying to save a scanned PDF document but only the "achive" button. Do anyone know why?
I have tried seraching the internet for answer but without any result.
A solution to the prblem is to press doublicate and then "archive" then i get the option to save in a specific loaction (notice that even after doublicating i don't get the option to archvie as). This is a quick fix but would like to know how to fix the problem probably.
Here is some background
-The problem also appears on exsisting pdf document and documents from other users.
- i open it in apple standard preview program
- The problem appaered 6 months ago after and general apple software upgrade.
- I don't have any "download" folder in my finder menu ( I don't know if this is a relevant information but could have somthing to do with the settings i.e. as administor even though it is my own mac).
Please help me before i will go completly CRAZY, it is super frustrating.

I have done exactly as you say, but it does not work for me.
You indicated " Navigate to the info tab and scroll down. There'll be a check box for 'sync over wifi' or something to that effect. Check that box and sync to affirm your choice."
I navigated to Summary tab (not Info Tab) and checked "Sync with this ipad over Wi-Fi"
I disconnect the wire,
and my iPad disappears from my iTunes screen.
in my iPad ->Settings -> General -> iTunes Wi-Fi Sync -> says " Sync will resume when (my PC) is available.
So, I can not sync via wi-fi

E-Rec Reference Code in the Publication tab should not appear after enddate

There is a requirement from the client after the end date of the publication ,the reference code should not be displayed to the candidate in the Candidate page ,presently the same is manually done in the system by changing the status to withdrawn.
Is there any way by which we can automate the process by change in customising by which the reference code does not appear after the end date
Please provide a solution if something can be done in the standard setting or do we require any Zworkflow to be developed for the same.

Hi RK,
this is nothing the standard supports.
But I would not use a workflow here. As this is a mass handling workflow is no good idea. This is a task for a customer periodical service. Just build a class implementing the periodical service interface which gets all released publications which have a publication end in the past and status released and change their status using the cl_hrrcf_posting_inst_bl. This should be done in a couple of hours. Add the customizing and the issue is solved.
A requirement in this context where a customer workflow is quite handy in my opinion is a customer workflow which closes all postings and withdraws released publications when you close the requisition. This reduces the steps a recruiter has to do and ensures that no candidate applies although you are already done with the requisition.

Thanks for that 'sberman' - because my iPhone is backed-up to my work computer (only at this stage) I have had to call our IT Department in Adleaide. (4 times this morning). The last guy managed to get the phone into 'DFU Mode' - no more recovery mode screen - (kind of 'asleep' perhaps) from my understanding of same. I am awaiting a call again from IT so they can get my computer to actually recognise my iPhone on the C Drive. This also happened to one of my colleagues in Newman (WA). She got so frustrated with the whole process that she bought another phone the next time she was in 'civilisation.' She hasn't had any problems since. (Cross fingers).

I have downloaded all my photos to my new IPad. I need to delete some I do not want, how do I do it. The delete button does not appear to be working?

I personally don't know of any other software that does syncing, however, you can use another cloud service like Dropbox or Flikr to house your photos, add and delete them and have them available for viewing on any device or comuter that has an internet connection.
I'm not sure why you would be having trouble not getting photos that you put into your Photo Stream Uploads folder on your iPad. Photo Stream is Photo Stream. Also, just so you know, photo management and Photo Stream have nothing to do with iTunes. Photo management on the computer is done through your photos folder and app (on a Mac, it's iPhoto). You only use iTunes to tell the sync process which items to retrieve and sync from that library. Photo Stream is completely independent of iTunes altogether.
If you want to get photos from a camera to your iPad without having to use a computer, get a camera connection kit which will allow you to physically hook the camera to the iPad, and to directly download the photos from the camera to the iPad.
You would still want to also hook the camera up to the computer to back those photos up to your photo library on your computer.
Also you might want to look into purchasing (for under $5) iPhoto for your iPad:

Seems like you might benefit from talking to your local Apple Store about when they might have some sessions for learning photo management and sharing between your device and computer, because what you appear to be wanting to do is all do-able. I guess I'm just missing what your issue is. You can many things with photos on your iPad, however, your device will never be a substitue for your computer for backing up and managing your photos.
So, best of luck, I hope one of the suggestions above will help you to achieve what you are trying to do.

Likely a hardware issue... no way around that except to get it repaired or don't use it (the button).
Try restoring to solve the switching off problem.
