Button view changes when form is rendered by some users

The Delete button on this form is set to "Visible Screen Only", but changes to "Visible" (and therefore prints) for some users.  The other buttons do not have this issue.
For those same users, when they open the form, they get the yellow bar across the top saying that Javascript is not enabled.  Each of them have several times chosen to "enable always", but will get the same message the next time they open the form.
I requested that each of them update their Reader, but they are still having the same issue.
While this is fairly minor, it is very annoying and I am out of ideas.
The form is attached.  Can anyone help?

Hello there,
I'm sorry to hear that you've been having trouble; this sounds like an Acrobat issue (not an Acrobat.com issue), so it's not likely to get a satisfactory answer from this forum, which is for questions pertaining to Acrobat.com (www.acrobat.com). I recommend re-posting it to the forums at the Acrobat Users Community:

You'll have more of a chance of getting a comprehensive answer from the moderators there. Best of luck, and sorry not to be able to offer more specific advice.
Kind regards,

  • JFileChooser's approve button text changes when file

    I have a JFileChooser used for loading some XML file(s). We want the approve button's text to be "Load". When I bring up the dialog, the button text initially reads "Load", when I select a directory, it reads "Open", if I select a file again, it goes back to "Load". So far, so good.
    The problem comes when using it in a non-English language. When I bring up the dialog, the button text initially reads the appropriately translated "Load". However, when I select a directory, it changes to the English "Open". I do not see a method to use to adjust this text. Am I missing something, or is this a bug?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Jamie

    Here's some code I'll put into the public domain:
    package com.graphbuilder.desktop;
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.awt.event.*;
    import javax.swing.*;
    import java.util.Stack;
    import java.util.Vector;
    import java.util.StringTokenizer;
    import java.io.File;
    <p>Attempt to improve the behaviour of the JFileChooser.  Anyone who has used the
    the JFileChooser will probably remember that it lacks several useful features.
    The following features have been added:
    <ul>
    <li>Double click to choose a file</li>
    <li>Enter key to choose a file after typing the filename</li>
    <li>Enter key to change to a different directory after typing the filename</li>
    <li>Automatic rescanning of directories</li>
    <li>A getSelectedFiles method that returns the correct selected files</li>
    <li>Escape key cancels the dialog</li>
    <li>Access to common GUI components, such as the OK and Cancel buttons</li>
    <li>Removal of the useless Update and Help buttons in Motif L&F</li>
    </ul>
    <p>There are a lot more features that could be added to make the JFileChooser more
    user friendly.  For example, a drop-down combo-box as the user is typing the name of
    the file, a list of currently visited directories, user specified file filtering, etc.
    <p>The look and feels supported are Metal, Window and Motif.  Each look and feel
    puts the OK and Cancel buttons in different locations and unfortunately the JFileChooser
    doesn't provide direct access to them.  Thus, for each look-and-feel the buttons must
    be found.
    <p>The following are known issues:  Rescanning doesn't work when in Motif L&F.  Some
    L&Fs have components that don't become available until the user clicks a button.  For
    example, the Metal L&F has a JTable but only when viewing in details mode.  The double
    click to choose a file does not work in details mode.  There are probably more unknown
    issues, but the changes made so far should make the JFileChooser easier to use.

  • Radio button getting unchecked when form in query mode

    There are 4 radio buttons on my form.Initially when the form is opened one radio button is checked.But when the form is in query mode that radio button got unchecked.Is there any way that the initial checked radio button remains checked even the form is in query mode ?

    Hi,
    Solutions given by Kevin and Zaibiman is not applicable for my form as the radio button will be in data base block only.This is the requirement of the form.
    The other solution given by Zaibiman was to set the radio button item when entered in query mode , i have tried that but that is also not working.
    Pranati,the solution given by you i have also tried that ,but that has not solved the issue,Radio button get unchecked when eneterd in query mode.
    Please elaborate and suggest.
    Thanks,

  • Changes in prompts not reflecting for some users

    Good Morning all,
    I have changed a number of dashboard prompts in 11.1.1.5 to default to a dynamic repos variable.
    The changes are shown on my obiee, and some other users obiee. But some users are not seeing the changes that I have made. i.e. the prompt still defaults to a hardcoded value which was the case before I changed it.
    Tried:
    -logging in and out
    -closing cursors
    -removing any saved customizations.
    Note I made the changes last week so everyone has logged in and out.
    Any ideas why this is happening?
    Thanks
    Kev

    Thanks for the swift response.
    Users have cleared browser caches,
    I have cleared obiee cache.
    Do you mean clearing the query cache via command line?
    Please note that this is dev environment so caching is turned off for obiee.
    thanks

  • Email address changes when form is distributed.

    I recently helped a friend with a fill form for his clients. I added a "submit by email" button athte bottom and coded it with his email address.  I did the ditribution and send them hte form and responce file.  Much to out dismay te responces tot he form were going to my email and not his.  I went back into the orginalt file and saw it was his email, but when we opened the distribted form it had been changed to mine.  I've tried several times to fix it but it keeps changing.  What do we do?

  • Color Changes when form field added

    When I add a form filed to a pdf, the color changes on the output of the pdf.
    Print out the attached pdf pages 1 and 3. Look at the green button. It is darker on the pages with the form field(p1) then on page 3. they are the same source file. It like when I add the form field, it changes the page to a CMYK color space and the images are in a RGC Color space.
    Any ideas

    Follow-up:
    One of my colleagues is working on a product feature that involves checkboxes (this is how I came across this issue in the first place). His checkboxes aren't contained within a form element whereas in my test page I described in my question when I removed the form from the page the issue didn't manifest.
    However, the page he's working on does contain other forms so I decided to modify my test page to try to replicate this scenario. I found some really odd behavior.
    If I have a form on a page but the checkboxes are not children of that form, and if I dynamically add a single INPUT element or a single TEXTAREA input, the checked values just disappear on page refresh. That's expected since the lack of a parent form should eliminate the memory of the checkbox values, right?
    Well, when I dynamically add '''both''' an INPUT element and a TEXTAREA element it goes right back to remembering '''and''' moving the checked value, but only by one step. By comparison, if the checkboxes and the dynamically added form fields are contained with a form the checked value will move by a number of steps equal to the number of dynamically added form fields.
    Strange, strange behavior I can't really decode with certainty across the entire range of possible scenarios...

  • Colors changing when preview finishes rendering?

    I have been struggling to wrap my head around why Lightroom 1.4 changes the color (mostly vivid red orange -> pale yellowish) once the high resolution preview finishes rendering.
    Today I photographed a *very* orange butterfly, and it looks just right in the lores preview, but the second after I select the image, the photo goes from saturated orange to pale yellow/brown... :-(
    Once the preview has rendered, it "sticks" and the vivid orange is gone.
    My specs:
    * RAW photos (Canon .CR2, from a Canon EOS 450D aka Digital Rebel XSi)
    * Show with circular *polarizing filter* and Canon macro 100mm
    * Windows Vista Home professional
    * Lightroom 1.4 (most things left at default)
    * No edits or adjustments applied at import or afterwards
    The help for "color management" didn't say much, and all this color management stuff is really confusing me!
    Any help would be very appreciated.
    Robert Karlsson

    What you see is the embedded JPEG from the camera, and then LR's rendered version using either its defaults, or whatever you have set for defaults/presets. You can adjust your defaults or apply a preset on import if you like, or you can get LR 2 and the Beta profiles which have much improved color renditions, and can even simulate some of the in-camera profiles.

  • Dynamically creating pages when the form is rendered to the user

    Hi exeprts
    I am trying to find out a way in which my livecycle designer form will be able to create a new pages based on a certain field value which is a part of xfa.data.datasets. Say I have to generate the payslip of 5 employee - My form should be able to provide me with 5 different pages for each employee. at runtime. It will have some prepopulated data fields (read Only)  like employee Id or Employee designation or department and some additional fields which needs to be filled by the user.
    In short If I have three employees say emp A, B & C then I should have 3 pages one each for A, B &C with their respective data prepopulated in the readOnly fields.The number of employees will be a variable which will be binded in the context and will be a part of the data model of the form.
    I would like to know if such a functionality is possible to be achieved in the designer.
    Thanks and Regards.

  • View changes when deleting a doc or item

    I have several users who report that when deleting a document, the finder takes them back to a higher level directory. How can this be stopped or is there another workaround?

    Thanks but I've witnessed it myself, if they delete a document, they end up several directories higher and must navigate back down to that directory to do anything else. Not a show stopper but certainly an annoyance.

  • Folder created in System form and disabled for some users.

    Hi,
    I have created a folder in Inventory data form and work well for every users who have professional licence with R/W permission for that form. If a user with CRM licence access the Inventory data form, he see my folder disabled.
    If I put these users in R/W, all is OK : everyone can access my folder. But, I won't let it like this... If I won't grant R/W access to everyone and get back to R only, I will loose that property.
    Q: How to make that folder activated for all users what ever the licence he has ?
    Thank you.
    Edited by: Kevin Bedard on Oct 29, 2008 4:37 PM

    HI,
    The crm user has only R rigths in the license. I think the form is only in view mode (check the form mode from debug)
    Even the form is in OK mode, not view mode:
    Try:
    1. get the form_activate event
    2. Enable the folder even it is disabled.

  • Cmd window appears when running sqldeveloper.exe for some users

    All,
    I'm wondering why a cmd window appears when I double click the sqldeveloper.exe executable?
    This is a Windows 2008 server.
    Also, when the user that installed SQL Developer runs it, the cmd window has no text in it but when other users are logged into the server and run the same executable, they have a lot of messages appearing in the cmd window similar to:
    at org.apache.log4j.xml.DOMConfigurator.doConfigure<DOMConfigurator.java:616)
    What I'd like to do is NOT have any cmd window appear when the users run sqldeveloper.exe

    There are two sqldeveloper.exe files. The one in the root of the sqldeveloper installation folder doesn't produce a console; the one in <sqldev>\sqldevloper\bin does.

  • Problems viewing PDFs with form objects

    I have a document I can't view correctly in Acrobat Reader XI. The document includes some form objects like radia buttons and check boxes. When I view the document in Adobe Reader, i only get square boxes. If I use Foxit Reader, I can se the objects normally. I have taken a screendump from the same PDF document, one using Acrobat Reader and the other using Foxit Reader. As you can see, there is a big difference.
    The screendump above is from Adobe Reader XI
    And this creendump is from Foxit Reader.
    Why cant Acrobat display the form objects? It looks like a font problem. I have tried to install asian font pack. Is there any other font packs that could solve this problem?
    Best regards

    How were these forms created?  I have seen (in this forum) similar cases when forms were created in some none-standard ways.
    See if the attached test document shows correctly in Reader XI.

  • Web Form Cancel Edit button changes value of List View item when clicked

    I have a web form, I shows 3 buttons, Edit, Save, And cancel. When the user presses the edit button it enables editing. When the user makes an edit and presses the save button it saves the changes. When the user presses the cancel button, it does cancel
    the edit ok but it changes the vale in the left list view to a different value.  For instance my left list view has a list of vendor names.  When I click cancel, the vendor name shown for the selected record, changes to the vendor number.  I
    have experimented with different values to show in the list view, I have turned off sorting, etc.  No matter what everytime I click cancel button it changes the vendor name to the vendor number.
    Even stranger is when I scroll the list up and the item that changed is move out of view and then you scroll back down to put it in view it puts the value back to the vendor name.
    This isn't consistent as I have created some forms where it doesn't do this.
    Also when I create a new list view, does anyone know how to get it into the tile pane .  the only way to get anything in that list appears to be that I have to create a whole new table.

  • Submit button doesn't work when form is uploaded to website

    I created a form with a submit button that works well when I open the form from my documents.  However, once I upload that same form to my website, the submit button doesn't work.  Any ideas how this can be fixed?

    If the form is opened in the browser, it is probably using the browser's built-in PDF viewer (e.g., Chrome and Firefox), which likely does not support the submit action. It's possible to disable the built-in viewer and configure it so Adobe Reader is used to view the PDF and the submit button should work. This will be something each user would have to set up, so providing instructions is a good idea.
