BVW-70 or PVW-2800 for broadcast delivery ?

Hi,
Apart from AFM audio absent on the PVW-2800, is there any difference in recorded image quality between a PVW-2800 and a BVW-70 ?

Are you saying that the "PVW-2800" is definitely noisy compared tp a BVW-75 ?
Or are you saying that the UVW is noisy compared to the BVW-75 ?
(I compared a UVW to a BVW and the UVW is definitely noisy compared to the BVW)
But my question is about PVW-2800 vs BVW-70.

Creating MPEG-2 Program Stream for Broadcast Delivery

Hey all,
I'm trying to switch my entire workflow to Adobe CC and I need some help. I edit a weekly TV program and I need to output to an MPEG-2 Program Stream with .scc closed captioning embedded in the file. Does Adobe Media Encoder allow for such a file? The only thing I've seen is that you can embed closed captioning into a Quicktime file. Can I make an MPEG-2 Program Stream Quicktime? Any help is appreciate, thank you!

Yeah I was able to create a transport stream file in compressor, but I ultimately need a program stream file.
Using the MPEG Stream Clip, I was able to convert a transport stream file to a program stream file for testing on my system. Hopefully by tomorrow. I should be completed with my second test using longer clips (under 10 mins). I'll post my findings when I'm completed, but it looks like this is going to work for me.

Best encoder for broadcast SD video

Need to encode :30 spots for Internet delivery from DV master. What is my best encoding setting to get broadcast quality SD at the smallest file size for TV stations to use? Also, what tools would be best used for this purpose? Currently own iLife 2006 but will purchase the optimal tool for the job.

Several things you should consider...
Using the quarter-size trick is not going to be acceptable for broadcast. But you are talking about a 30-second spot. In DV-25, that's about 95 Mbytes. On a slow (1 Mbit) broadband connection, that's a twelve minute download. The advantage to using the DV codec instead of compressing further is that while you have to move a lot more data, what you get at the station is identical to the original clip.
You need to consider what compression format the station is going to use at the other end. Is this something you can control? Is this something you happen to know? If you can possibly use the station's native compression scheme, you will do everybody a favor because video does not hold up well under successive recompression. I saw a dramatic example of this recently. One of our instructors brought me a DVD containing a project that had been shot on Mini-DV. It looked great. I copied it back to Mini-DV so that I could import it into my editor, and it still looked great. I did the editing, then exported back to MPEG-2 for the new DVD, at the same bit rate as the old DVD, and it looked really horrible. Recompression is the worst thing you can do to video these days, and if you transmit in, say, MPEG-4 to a station that stores all of its clips as MPEG-2, they are going to get recompression artifacts.
If you have the network horsepower to do it, I would keep the clips DV-25 if at all possible, in spite of the file size.

FCP7 to AJA Io LA to Sony Betacam SP PVW-2800 Audio Issue

Setup:
- Final Cut Pro 7
- Macbook Pro 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
- OS X Leopard 10.6.4
- AJA Io LA
- Sony Betacam SP PVW-2800
- YPbPr connections between deck and AJA box
- FW400 connection to Macbook
Video works great--I can black & code just fine, and Edit to Tape perfectly. The problem is it doesn't lay the audio. I've got two tracks (A1, A2) and even tried audio mixdown just for grins. Still no audio.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help!

I've taken some screen shots of my setup, which may also help. If I need to, I'll start taking photos of the hardware.

How to export 8 mono audio track Quick Times for broadcast stations?

Hi, I work for a post house for Broadcast commercials. We are moving to a tapeless format for mastering and file delivery to stations and Extreme Reach. Is it possible to use premiere to export a single file with 8 mono tracks to support a 5.1 mix (Channels 1-6) and a stereo mix (7-8). We need the file to contain all 8 tracks of audio as mono single tracks.

Goods Receive for Outbound Delivery Without Reference using MIGO

Dear Colleague ...
We might need your insight on the case below related to Goods Receive of Outbound Delivery without Reference using MIGO:
(1) In the current SAP Enjoy screen of MIGO, we are allowed to select the reference document (e.g. = PO, Material Document, Inbound Document, Outbound Document, etc.)
(2) We did 3 (three) kind of test set: GR for Inbound Delivery, GR for Outbound Delivery with STO and GR for Outbound Delivery without reference.
(3) The first 2 (two) cases work just find with MIGO. We believe it is because the receiving plant is pretty much determined in the reference document, which is PO (case 1) or STO (case 3)
(4) However, the last case came up with the error message "Goods receipt not possible for delivery 8000610236: error code 5". We believe that this is the standard design of SAP, that the receiving plant is required and it is not defined explicitly in the delivery document.
(5) Moreover, we also believe that that's the reason why SAP (via the Logistic Execution module) provide the Handling Unit and Shipment, which can be used to perform such receive function, which will imply the MM posting (goods issue and goods receive) IF there is stock transfer involved.

Error!! Can not find the delivery details for the delivery Id :

hi all,
I have a report which i need to burst in seven different reports wherein my delivery key is column "emp_id". Now when i schedule the report to burst then the report completes with a warning. I see that there are various delivery cycles for the report and for one of the cycles i get the following message
Error!! Can not find the delivery details for the delivery Id :
hence, what happens due to this is, even there are successful deliveries for other delivery ids but then i get only two rows of data in each of the seven bursted ouput xls files. wheareas the data runs in thousands of rows for each cycle.
Hence whats happening is, that due to error /warning in one of the delivery cycles other reports are also not showing data.
I am not sure whats causing the issue and why i am not getting complete bursted files out.

I guess, you are in 10.1.3.3.2 :),
in the latest release 10.1.3.4.1, there are more enhancement wrto bursting and performance i believe.
check th release notes
can you send me the xml and bursting query you have, i can try simulating in my local.

SAP System inconsistency for Inbound delivery / MIGO and a "sap note"

After following SAP instruction on how to remove the inconsistency between posting GR through MIGO (Inv. mang.) and the reflection of the goods movement status in the inbound delivery document - done that using sap note 570991
the problem is that the system start behaving in a weird way throwing unjustified Error messages for any suggested goods receipt using MIGO with reference to inbound
for example after creating an inbound delivery document and trying to post it via migo , an error will pop up
- Inbound delivery storage location cannot be changed to here Message no. VLA316
the thing is i didn't even maintain any storage location entry up to that point and yet i cannot post any stock !!
also another error like
- Inbound delivery batch cannot be changed to *** here
which doesn't make any sense because there is not batches in the inbound document !!
i think this behavior is coming from the "Document Flow Update for Stock Postings" inbound indicator at the shipping parameter at client level customization
i need help on how to overcome this annoying SAP Bug/Problem specially i am in a post go live critical situation

The messages you mentioned were introduced to avoid inconsistency between inbound delivery and IM, through the note: 1050944 - GR for inbound delivery using inventory mgmt as of ECC 6.00
If the messages are issued incorrectly, then you may check for SAP notes (I couldnt find anything relevant) or raise an OSS ticket to SAP.

Report for pending delivery

Hi Experts,
We have requirement, SAP report for pending delivery - to help customer reconcile on what is pending for deliveries.
I have used standard Tcode VL06 and VL06O but seeing all deliveries.
Kindly let me know how to configure a report or t code so that I should be able to see only pending delivery based on sales order.

If I understood your requirement correctly, you are sending the sales orders to the dispatcher, based on those sales orders dispatcher has to create the deliveries only for those items which are going to be shipped today (i.e. GI to be posted today) so that he can optimized the transporation etc.
For this requirement I think you can use VL04 transaction code and give input as shown in below screen shot. The inportant thing to note here is that, system selects only those line items from a sales order which has a GI date less than or equal to the date given in below screen.
i.e. if your sales order has a 2 line items
Line item 1 has GI date = 19.08.2014
Line item 2 has GI date = 22.08.2014
then as per below input i.e. GI date = 22.08.014 system will create a delivery for both the line items
If you give GI date = 19.08.2014 in below selection screen then system will create a delivery only for line item 1. Please try and let me know

You cannot change this via "Fast Change".
Please see the usage of this field.
Calculation of the delivery time is an element in the determination of a vendor's adherence to delivery dates (that is, the vendor's delivery timeliness, or on-time delivery performance) in MM Vendor Evaluation.
If it becomes known that the vendor can only deliver ordered goods some days later than originally stipulated, for instance, you can change the delivery date accordingly for materials planning and control purposes. However, the statistics-relevant delivery
date remains unchanged.
As a result, the vendor's "on-time delivery performance" score worsens. At the same time, it is ensured that materials planning and control works on the basis of the right date.

Is it possible to create a new condition table for outbound delivery output type with a field sold-to, although this field is available in the field catalogue , it does not show up during a table creation in the FieldCatlg,why?

You need to Append the new fields which you want to see in the Field Catelog to create a condition table.
Please follow the following process
Got to T. Code SE11 andGive the Table name
Then click on the Button Append Structure and
Key in the name of you append starting with letter 'Z'.
Add fields whcih you want.
Activate the table.
