    Sunil,
    Which column is the sal column? I can’t see any numeric columns in your query. If you use htmldb_item calls in your query column, then this makes them strings and you can’t build sums on string columns. If you want to build sums in an updateable report / tabular form, then don’t use the htmldb_item API. Instead use the built-in display types on the report column attributes page. Using the built-in display types is the better options in most cases anyway and they do allow you to calculate sums even if the column is a text field or display and save type field.

  • Acessing dynamic generated checkBoxes

    Hello:
    I have a page with a unknown number of checkBoxes
    <af:forEach var="chart" items="#{row.charts}">
    <af:panelGroup type="horizontal" inlineStyle="text-align:center;">
    <af:outputText value="#{chart.week}"/>
    <af:selectBooleanCheckbox id="chartweek"/>
    </af:panelGroup>
    </af:panelGroup>
    </af:forEach>
    Since these are dynamic generated, i don't have any back-end counterparts, so what i want is to access a array of all the checkBox components in order to see if they are checked and if they are to get their ID?
    So my question is, how can i get all components on a Form from the back-end Java code?
    Thanks a lot.

    I am trying to use the selectManyCheckBox and can't figure it out. I tried using the same type of logic as the SelectManyShuttle in the srdemo, but can't get it to work. The checking of values works (those get populated is my list of selected), but the unchecking doesn't seem to happen (even after unchecking they show up in my list of selected). How did you build the list of booleans?
    Thanks,
    Doug

  • Accessing Dynamically Generated Spry Checkboxes

    I've got a list with checkboxes that is generated with a data
    set. When the user checks some boxes and clicks "Assign" I need the
    assign function to run, serializing the checkbox values and running
    an ajax update. However, when I run my loop in the function to add
    each checkbox to an array, I always get the value of the checkbox
    as undefined....and the length as well.....I'm wondering, if a
    checkbox is generated dynamically in a Spry repeat region, does it
    get added to the DOM? Am I missing something?

    Let me try to make that more understandable.
    I have 2 forms. 1 Form contains a repeating Spry list that
    generates checkboxes. The ID's and Value's of the checkboxes are
    dynamically generated based on the dataset.
    My 2nd form is a dummy form, just one I built to test - no
    spry, no nothing - just 3 check boxes with the same names and
    different values.
    When I run my function based on the dummy form, it does
    everything I want it to. When I run the form on the Spry form, it
    breaks.
    I inspected the element w/ Safari and saw the Source still
    shows the Spry code, however, the DOM shows the executed Spry
    (there's really multiple checkboxes).
    Has anybody else run into this type of problem? It's driving
    me nuts and I'm 21 hours past deadline.

  • Hybrid Web Container: Overriding Generated Files

    Hey Experts.
    I am working with SUP 2.1 Mobile Workflow or Hybrid Web Container applications.  I was curious if anyone out there has been able to modify the template files for when a Mobile Worklfow is generated?
    Specifically my use case is to display header and footer in Android and Blackberry.  These by default are not shown.  For example in the generated workflow_jQueryMobileLookAndFeel.html file string on line 1821 we have the following JavaScript:
                $('div[data-role="header"]').css('display', 'none');
                $('div[data-role="footer"]').css('display', 'none');
    I of course can undo this in the customBeforeShowScreen method but prefer modifying the template for generation of the html file as it is arguably 'cleaner'.
    There is an instance where an override wont work such as the above example.  I also want to show my headers without the default back button.  In the jquery.mobile-1.0a4.1.js file on line 1607 there is an option that enables the back button by default when there are no other buttons.  Again I want to show the header on the login screen but dont want to show a back button - its not relevant:
    $.widget( "mobile.page", $.mobile.widget, ,
              keepNative: null
    Any ideas?  Thanks.

    There are a few approaches you can take.  When using the designer, you can inject the changes via JavaScript, as you have noted.  You can also include the changes in files jquery.mobile.fix.js or jquery.mobile.fix.css that will get included after the jquery mobile files are included.  You can also include changes in files that don't get overridden like API.js or Utils.js.
    Another approach is to turn the Generate checkbox off.  Doing so will break the lnk between changes made in the designer and the generated code, but it will leave with a nice easy way to continue to repackage and redeploy your changes.
    Finally, you can stop using the designer altogether and manually create the .zip file and its contents.

  • Report with updateable checkbox

    Here is what I want to do :
    I have a report with a HTMLDB_ITEM.checkbox on a 'Y', 'N' field. I would like to be able to update that value by simply checking and unchecking my generated checkbox.
    Example : select player_no, player_name, htmldb_item.checkbox(1,active,'N','Y') from players.
    I would like to be able to uncheck the active checkbox and the field value for that player(using the player_no) would be updated to 'N' and vice versa when checking the box.
    I had created a process that looped on my checkbox item like explained in the "how to", but only the check items were processed.
    Then I tried adding the following to my select and looping on the second item, but both items do not follow each other. If I have 2 checkbox checked and 10 players, than the item 1(checkbox) has only 2 records compared to 10 for item 2(hidden player_no):
    htmldb_item.checkbox(1,active,'N','Y')||htmldb_item.hidden(2,player_no)
    Is my request feasible ?

    Sorry, I used HTML tags to bold stuff, didn't realize that didn't work.
    Sorry for the slow response, I have been swamped with work.
    I am assuming everyone is using the htmldb_application.g_fxx(i) variables in PL/SQL processes when trying to process their checkboxes.
    Here's an example that would be similar to Patrick's situation (above). This would be in the SQL for the report region:
    htmldb_item.checkbox(1, player_no, decode(active, 'Y', 'CHECKED', null) || htmldb_item.hidden(2,player_no)
    Let me explain why I'm doing this:
    First: htmldb_item.checkbox(1, player_no, decode(active, 'Y', 'CHECKED', null) will create checkboxes. Rows with active = 'Y' would have a checked checkbox, but the value of the checkbox is the player_no. I would assume (and suggest) that player_no is a unique value for that record.
    Second: htmldb_item.hidden(2,player_no) will be the item you wish to update. (I always make this the primary key or unique value, so I can update any data for that record, and it must be the same value as the checkbox value)
    In the How To documents, they tell you to use this for processing checkboxes:
    for i in 1..htmldb_application.g_f01.count
    loop
    --process here
    end loop; where htmldb_application.g_f01 is your checkbox item.
    I have noticed that it only counts the rows that have a checked checkbox. So if you have a report with 10 rows, and you've checked 2 checkboxes, the count for that item is only 2. Where as, the count for you hidden items is 10.
    There are two ways I have made this process work, but here is probably the easiest way I would process all rows (rows with a checked checkbox and rows without the checkbox checked):
    /*this will loop through every row of the report*/
    for i in 1..htmldb_application.g_f02.count
    loop
    /*this will account for when they don't check any boxes*/
    if htmldb_application.g_f01.count != 0
    then
    /*this will loop through the checked checkboxes*/
    for k in 1..htmldb_application.g_f01.count
    loop
    /*this compares the values of player_no of the checkbox and hidden item*/
    if htmldb_application.g_f01(k) = htmldb_application.g_f02(i)
    then
    --process where checkbox is checked
    update xtable
    set active = 'Y'
    where player_no = htmldb_application.g_f02(i);
    else
    --process where checkbox is not checked
    update xtable
    set active = 'N'
    where player_no = htmldb_application.g_f02(i);
    end if;
    end loop;
    else
    --same process where checkbox is not checked
    update xtable
    set active = 'N'
    where player_no = htmldb_application.g_f02(i);
    end if;
    end loop;
    Now I this is not exactly the same thing I have in my process, but this is extremely similar, so excuse any syntactical errors I have made.
    Let me know if this helps. I realize when I post this, all the spacing I have to make the code easier to read is gone, so I would suggest spacing things in notepad for easier reading.
    If you want to see how to use all the htmldb_item package items then you can be found them in the HTML DB documentation: https://cwisdb.cc.kuleuven.ac.be/ora10doc/appdev.101/b10992/mvl_api.htm#sthref1469

  • Identify the regions where the checkbox is checked

    Hi All,
    I've a page which contains 3 report regions each one with a checkbox column. User has the flexibility to select any/all rows from each region and I need to store the selected rows into a database table.
    I've created the below process to insert the data into the table.
    FOR i in 1..APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01.count
    LOOP
    insert into table_name (c1,c2,c3) values (v1, APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01(i),v3);
    END LOOP;
    The process is executing well and inserting the data into the table. But the problem is when the user select rows from different regions, I get all rows inserted into the tables but I'm not able to identify which row is selected in which region. Is there any way to identify the region from where the row is checked.
    Thanks in advance for the help.
    Regards,
    Prasanth

    Hi Prasanth,
    Your probably using apex_item package to generate checkboxes. So, try to change p_idx parameter.
    In your case it's probably p_idx => 1. In other 2 reports set it to 2 and 3 and then in process you can fetch that with in APEX_APPLICATION.G_F02 and APEX_APPLICATION.G_F03 arrays.

  • How can I find out how many checkboxes are checked, please!

    Hello everyone,
    I have been at it for hours and pretty much cannot think straight and would highly apprecaite your help on this. I have an array called myArr which has 5 elements in it. I then generate checkboxes and the number of checkboxes are matched with the myArr.length(); I would like to be able to find out what checkboxes are check/selected before moving to the next screen. User will need to click on a "NEXT' button in order to move to the next screen. Next button is disabled until user selects the checkbox(s).
    here is the code:
    var cb:CheckBox;
    captionArr:Array = new Array('img1' , 'img2', 'img3', 'img4', 'img5');
    myArr:Array = new Array('c1', 'c2', 'c3', 'c4', 'c5');
    for(var i:Number=0; i < myArr.length; i++)
       cb = new CheckBox();
      cb.y = i * 25;
      cb.label = captionArr[i];         //  CHECKBOX LABELS
      addChild(cb);
      cb.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, clickHandler);
    function clickHandler(e:MouseEvent):void
         if(e.target.selected)
             trace(''SELECTED");
        else if(!e.target.selected)
         trace("NOT SELECTED");
    Thanks.

    use checkCBF():
    var cb:CheckBox;
    captionArr:Array = new Array('img1' , 'img2', 'img3', 'img4', 'img5');
    myArr:Array = new Array('c1', 'c2', 'c3', 'c4', 'c5');
    var cbA:Array=[];
    for(var i:Number=0; i < myArr.length; i++)
       cb = new CheckBox();
      cb.y = i * 25;

  • HTMLDB_ITEM.CHECKBOX and Multiple Pages

    Hi
    I have used a SQL query as a source for a region and I generate checkboxes dynamically using HTMLDB_ITEM.CHECKBOX function. Everytthing works fine as long its in one page. When I set the pagination to show only 15 rows per page and when I click save from the second page (showing rows 16-30) the value of HTMLDB_APPLICATION.G_F01.COUNT becomes zero. And the values of the checkboxes are not recognised. Is this a known issue and any solutuion to it?

    Hi,
    two part question:
    Do I need to pass session state from page to page in the same application? (I do not think so, but I am not sure)
    secondly do you know why this code
    for i in 1..htmldb_application.g_f01.count
    loop
    if htmldb_application.g_f01(i) !=0 then
    :P14_INFO_ID := htmldb_application.g_f25(htmldb_application.g_f01(i));
    end if;
    end loop;
    in which I am trying to get 1 column for the row that is checked
    would result in this in the debugger:
    ...P14_INFO_ID session state saving same value: "" indicating that the session state for that column was not saved?

  • Including dynamically generated pages in jsp

              Hello All, Scenario is like this, i am creating the dynamic htmls pages, in the
              servlets and after creating the htmls pages in the servlets , the control passes
              to the jsp page, where i am including the html page that is created at the servlets,
              its works fine, but some time it shows me null exception at the jsp page, i.e
              it won't find the htmls pages, even they are created b'fore. I am using weblogic
              server 6.1 with sp3. Can anybody know what is the reason.

    After you have generated checkbox by jsp, you have to generate JavaScript for the checkboxes.
    <%
    // assume I have found I need to generate 5 checkboxes with jsp
    int chkboxCount = 5;
    String user = request.getParameter("user");
    boolean showUser = false;
    if (user!=null && user.trim().length()>0){
      showUser = true;
    %>
    <script lang="JavaScript">
    var chkcount = <%=chkboxCount%>;
    for (int i=0; i<chkcount; i++)
         alert(i);
    <%
    if (showUser)
    %>
        alert("hello <%=user%>");
    <%
    %>
    </script>It is difficult to trace though.

  • Checkbox to collection

    Hi,
    I am creating a report, with a generated checkbox on each row.
    HTMLDB_ITEM.CHECKBOX(1,icv_id) add_record
    Now I want to verify these checkboxes after submit. If they are checked I want to add them in a collection. Does someone know how to do this?
    Regards

    thanks this works.
    Using javascript I store the seq_id and the checked value in 2 page items
    $s('P70_SEQ_ID', $(this.triggeringElement).val() );
    $s('P70_CHECKED', $(this.triggeringElement.checked).val() );The checked value I get is <empty> when checked and 'undefined' when unchecked. Based on this I can now update the collection.
    declare
      l_selectie varchar2(1);
    begin
      if v('P70_CHECKED')='undefined'
      then
        l_selectie := 'N';
      else
        l_selectie := 'J';
      end if;
      apex_collection.update_member_attribute(p_collection_name => 'CONCOLLECTION'
                                                 ,p_seq             => v('P70_SEQ_ID')
                                                 ,p_attr_number     => 3
                                                 ,p_attr_value      => l_selectie);
    end;

    Through this though i am able to generate checkbox dynamically but i want every time a user enter new section name a new checkboxes should get create on new line without replacing previous one, in mycase it replaces the previous one.
    how can i do this,pls any one can help me out.

  • Generating cfform textboxes

    I have a form that generates checkboxes that match up with
    textboxes. I am trying to be able to display the content for the
    textboxes that match up with the checked checkboxes. Each
    checkbox's value is a "report_id" and the name of each textbox is
    reason#report_id# so that the textbox names are unique, and tied to
    the report_id.
    Trying to display the reports and the textbox values I used
    the following code (the form code is below)
    newReason *is* displayed correctly as reason17 to match up
    with report_id = 17
    Thanks for any help you can provide!

    Could I index the textboxes in an array, where the name of
    the textbox would be reasonArray[report_id]?
    Or could I make a string that has a # characer in it? I don't
    seem to be able to, but I thought that if I could set var newReason
    = '#reason' & report_id & '#' then I could output
    #newReason# which would be #reason9# which would be the correct
    output. If I just display #reason9# it works right, but that won't
    help if I have many many reasons.
    I'm still trying things, but any and all help is
    appreciated!
