C3750 InError Count Increasing

So, we have InError Count Increasing on some of our interfaces, but the traffic seems to be following fine. Below is one of our interface that have this issue.

I used the iframe code from Facebook's "Like Button" site; and inserted the code in the html widget popup box, then positioned it where I wanted it on my page and published. It looks fine (though I had to add "http" before my url to get it to show up).
So, when a user clicks on button, a pop-up opens asking for Facebook password. When I (the user) enter a password, nothing happens after that. I thought the idea was that a user would be able to show their friends that they like my website. After I entered my password in pop-up after clicking on "Like" I went to my facebook page (a company page) to see if it showed that I (the user that clicked on "Like" on iweb) recommended the website. But nothing showed up. I thought maybe it was because Facebook associated my password as the admin for the Facebook page so didn't count it. But a friend tried it and same thing happened. I went back and on one page I put in another facebook code for a combo Like/Send button. It shows up but acted the same as the regular Like button.
Questions:
1. Is this the way the Like Button is suppose to work? Only benefit of Like button being that it just counts the clicks on the Like button and does NOT let users share their recommendation with their friends?
2. If it's suppose to let users share their "Likes" with their friends, what did I do wrong? There were three types of code but in reading discussions, they all say to use iframe. (I used the first choice which I think was html for Javascript SDK and put that in my HTML Snippit box and the Like/Share button showed up on my iweb page next to the facebook icon and the words "likes this" but when I click it, I don't see instructions that it's sending my recommendation to my friends.)
I must have done something wrong, but can't figure out what. Does anyone know? If the only benefit of the Like Button is the counter, it doesn't seem worthwhile.

There's no post on a page.
If they want that, then they should share the link themselves.
Perhaps it's best to study what facebook has to offer and how it works instead of guessing what it is supposed to do and be disappointed.

New HDD Load / Unload Cycle Count increasing extremely fast !

I just upgrade my Pavilion dv5 HDD. The new model is Hitachi Travelstar 7K500 (HTS725050A9A364). However, I found my new HDD's Load / Unload Cycle Count increasing extremely fast!
Until now the number of Load / Unload Cycle is 12,127. However, the new HDD only power on 137hours. (About 1 week of my use.) The data below is my new HDD's SMART data (by EVEREST 5.50):

I'm pretty sure that the data is correct, because I can hear the HDD's Load / Unload sound very frequently. The C1 row increase about 2,000 per day. However my previous Hitachi 5K320 has no problem. The running operating system are both Windows 7.
I'm so worry about this. As you know, laptop HDD's L / UL Cycle is designed at 600,000. If my HDD continue increasing like this, it will reach this number in a very short time. Any one can help me?

It's a feature of modern 2.5" harddisks , the disk parks the head when its been inactive for a while, to avoid damage , uses less power , and reduces the heat etc gives the harddisk a better looking spec sheet , its meant to park its head after being inactive for a long time around an hour with proper management from the bios/os of the head parking feature, because there is nothing to manage this feature in hp's bios or os the disk parks the head about every minute for no reason then after 1 second the head goes back on the disk thats 1 load/unload cycle , it also effects performance as the head has to find its place back on the disk , load times will decrease by alot , videos will stutter the first few secs, i have the same problem but not as bad after 130 hours i had a count of around 1,250 load/unloads , different brands of disk have different idle timers plus i use utorrent which stops the harddisk from idling so much, there are a couple of solutions, you can find a tool to update/mod the harddisk firmware to increase the idle timer ( i decided against this as you can permently brake the harddrive and void the warrenty) , contact hp and request a bios update with proper management or the harddisk head parking feature i.e tell the harddisk it is idle after an hour, the temperary solutions are download hd tune and run it all the time this stops the harddisk from parking its head as it doesn't let it go idle , or the solution i am using at the moment download a programme called HDD scan , everytime you turn on/off you have to run the prog go to tasks/features/ide features set the advance power management from its default value to 254 then press set, no more unnessary load/unloads, downside is the disk runs a couple of 0c hotter mine still never goes above 40c even under full load thanks to a active cooling pad, also its less well protected against shock.

WSRP HTTP Session count increase

Hi,
I notice that the session count increases considerably(in hundreds) at the WSRP producer with the simple refresh of the remote portlets in count. Is there a way to avoid those sessions?
I'm using WLP 10.2 producer and WLP 10.2 consumer.
We have the portlet preference set to the remote portlets. We suspect that this may be reason for the increase session count.

This situation occurs when the producer and consumer cookies are configured.
Did you try Using Different Cookie Names and are you using SSO on producer and consumer ? If yes, did you try to use System Property.

Battery issue LoadCycle count increases without charging , MacBook Pro Retina 2012?

i have the feeling that i have a battery issue.
It looks like that the battery cells are in one region defekt.
Once i cross about 30% last charge it starts draining very fast within 10-15 Minutes the MacBook switches off.
In order to proove this i have written a small script in order monitor the battery and some other counters.
And here is realized anothe interesting topic.
The Load Cycle Count can increase even if you dont charge !!
Below you see that the LoadCycle Count increased from 373 to 374 even if i didnt charge.
Any ideas on that. Or does anyone have the same issue ?

have you tried resetting your MacBook Pro’s System Management Controller, to see if that affects its energy consumption?
When I run
ioreg -n AppleSmartBattery -r | grep -i CycleCount
on my MacBook Pro, I get two different output lines. You might want to adjust that part of the CYCLECOUNT assignment to have
ioreg -n AppleSmartBattery -r | grep '"CycleCount"'
instead, to ensure that that returns only the intended single line.

IPhoto 6 delete photos and count increases

I'm deleting photos from the library (not an album), and have emptied the trash. But the photo count keeps increasing. Help!

As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?
Clarification: Is that iPhoto 08? Or iPhoto 09

Play count increases every sync

I'm having an issue where every time I sync my iPhone, they play count for played songs increase. This is expected, except if I hit sync again, the play counts will increase again. Is there a way to fix iTunes/the iPhone to only increase the count once?

I'm having this same problem, it's driving me up the wall, is there some way to fix it? THis bug, or whatever it is? I didn't have these problems until I downloaded some of the new software updates a few days ago...

When we update an existing pdf file occurence of " /Count" increases.

We have one pdf file with 20 pages and when we open this file in editplus to see its content it shows "<</Count 20".
But when we add new page to it or insert from other pdf file the "<</Count" is shown two times with the values 20 and the added page count, i.e. "<</Count 20", "<</Count 22" (if we added to new pages to it.)
Please confirm why this happening?

Any way to make play count increase if the track is only partially played?

Sometimes I get impatient and click "next" as a song fades out or has a little dead air at the end. But itunes doesn't count a song as played unless it goes all the way to the end and on to the next track it seems.
Any way to change that?

I checked/emailed with the script guy and he confirmed that he did not have anything for this.
I knew about skipping to the end of a track. I've submitted this as a product enhancement to Apple to let the user define how many seconds into the song before it's considered "played." I consider this like an email being marked "read" even if you just were on preview for like 10 seconds.

Outdiscards and monitor sessions on C3750

All,
If i monitor/mirror a port to another port on a C3750 stack, do i mirror before or after Outdiscard drops ?
I am sending UDP multicast stream to the port, i see the OutDiscard counter increasing, but when i mirror the port to another port and look at the stream, all packets are present..... maybe the mirror is before the drop ?
NOTE: the customer is still running 12.2(50)SE4

thanks to the collaboration of the engineers of Dimension Data I have managed to get it working. In case you are interested in the solution. This would be the configuration on the ASR:

Misleading play count on movies

This is probably more an idea than a problem, but I post it here to see what others think of it. We and our children love to watch movies on two iPads and on AppleTV. We are all sharing the same Home Sharing account. Many of the movies are played again and again, but the play count on the master iTunes library usually shows zero or a very low play count. The reason is that the movies rarely are seen to the absolute end, but are stopped somewhere in the end credits (who can bear to see the full credits?).
To solve this problem it would be better if a movie's play count increased each time it passed the beginning of the credits. I don't know if this is technically possible. But eventually the play count could increase when there was for example five or ten minutes left. What do others think of this?

How to store multiple counts based on creation date

I want to retrieve the count of number of risk for each date and render it on line graph. I am retrieving data from sharepoint list where the number of risk counts increase with its creation and decreases after it is closure which maintained in another
column. Like if a risk is created on 02/02/2015 and closes on 03/03/2015 and an another risk is created on 17/02/2015 and closes on 14/03/2015. Then the count of the risk from 02/02/2015 to 16/02/2015 is 1 and from 17/02/2015 to 03/03/2015 is 2 and
then again till 14/03/2015 is 1. I want to retrieve the count based on the dates rendered dynamically on X-axis that is from current date back to past 24 days. I tried to create two datasets with one storing the risks after being queried based on creation
date and closure date and retrieving the count from Graph Y values but it is returning me count 0.
Please help.

Load Cycle Count over 7500 in just 5 days on new DV4 series notebook

Hi,
I'm really concerned about my new laptop i bought just a week ago (dv4-4172); it happens that the disk is making a lot of noise just like the infamous 'clicking sound of death' and reporting up to now, more than 7500 load cycles in just 5 days of operation and also, 2 errors in the CRC of the UDMA. Since my hard disk (Hitachi HTS547564A9E384 640.1 GB) was behaving like that i ran several test on the disk (HP's BIOS run-tests, HDD Tune, smartctl (short and the long one), etc.) but i'm not getting a single read-write error, that is, the system hasn't any functional/operational problem, yet. Furthermore, my disk's lifespan is 600000 load cycles and i'm getting about 1500 in just a day, you don't even need a calculator to realize the harddisk won't last more than 1.5 years. The constant clicking of the disk is also getting on my nerves too .
The question here is, is it normal for this hard disk to have an average count of 1500 load/unload in a day (i.e. 1 cycle every minute) or is my disk the only one with suicidal attitudes?. My last notebook's harddisk (Seagate) didn't get more than 100k cycles in 2 years of operation, that's why i'm concerned...
Naturally, hdparm solves the issue, but (partially or permanently) disabling my harddisk's APM is even more suicidal than my disk's actual attitude, and by the way, you need some technical skillset to change those values (I'm a linux sysadmin, so i knew how to solve that specific issue), why is the default configuration set as this? or is HP expecting every single user to know how to modify the APM or, if you don't, to have a seat while watching your hard disk self destruction take place.

FYI, the problem is agnostic of which operating system i use, even in the POST stage the harddisk starts with that annoying clicking (and its corresponding cycle count increased), and yeah, i've updated all my drivers and followed every suggestion hp support assistant gave to me, like the nice guy i am.

You’re having a problem with the hard drive.
The drive is not supposed to be making any noise.
Since the unit is still new I’d call HP and have them send you a new HDD.

JDBC Active Connection count issue- Current row null issue

In our weblogic conse 10.3.5, the max connection capacity is set to 25, however when we start using the application , over a small period of time the current active connection count increases more than 25 like 30,55, 85 etc .. How is this possible? . Once the number of active connection count goes above the max connection capacity, our application behaves weirdly, some time for some users the current row return null and as a result we get Null pointer exception. we are using Jdev 11.1.2.1 and the application was migrated from 10g. The AM configuration is the default one as specified in most docs or when we create a new application module. Could you guys help us out.

How many concurrent users do you have? Are you opening database connections manually in the application code? If so, are you closing these connections when done?

Document Directory 'Number of Times Accessed' count

Not really an api question, but i couldnt find anything else that matched better...
Is the process that updates the Number of Times Accessed count a batch process and if so, how often does it run?
The reason i ask is that i have some docs in my directory whose count is remaining zero, even after I have accessed them, whilst others whose count is increasing over time quite happily.
Does anyone have any ideas why this might be the case?

No, I think what's going on is that rather than update the counter every time a user clicks through, we use a randomized algorithm where there's a 1 in N chance that the portal will add N to the count. For example if N is 5 and you open a document 5 times you would expect to see the counter behave something like: 0 0 0 5 5
This means there's a margin of error (think opinion polls) but the margin decreases as the count increases, so you might know a given document has been accessed 12,450 times with a 5% margin of error. The benefit is that we reduce the load on the database for this particular SQL update by a factor of N. I believe there's a setting somewhere to modify N if you need more accuracte counts, in fact you can set it to 1 if you need a precise count.
