Cairngorm plugin download ?

Any way to get a ZIP of Cairngorm plugin for Eclipse binary distribution ?
The company network firewall doesnt let me acces the Update site url :http://download.macromedia.com/pub/opensource/cairngorm/plugin
I am surprised that I have to ask for it, it should be listed already on the first page. Altleast tell why its not listed.
In general,I am finding Adobe's content less than helpful and lacking in good info.
Seems like Adobe doesnt care for open source projects. Thats not where $$$ is ,right? Most of the documentation is also loosely compiled. You have to be very optimistic and have lots of idle time on your hand, to navigate the less-than-useful site to find right help or content. Or be on mercy of google and hope that someone faced the same misery and maybe found a solution to share.

Hi all,
Is the Cairngorm Plugin for Flex Builder on http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/cairngorm/Plugin not working anymore?
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/opensource/cairngorm/plugin/
Does anyone of Adobe Team could give a response?
Thanks,
toni

    Have you tried resetting your home page from Options > General? Which plugin is that? I have not seen a plugin update open a new tab.

  • Photoshop CS5 Optional Plugins downloaded file issue

    I am trying to download the Photoshop CS5 Optional Plugins from the following Adobe website http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4688.
    I'm using IE9 as my browser and opting to save the file to my desktop.
    The downloaded file appears as follows on my desktop - PSCS5OptionalPlugins_Win_en_US.zip.av6ac0u  - whiich I'm unable to unzip and use.  I am able to download other plug ins from the Adobe site.  Is there an alternate page for downloading these files or some "trick" to downloading these particular plugins?
    Thank you.

    I'm a huge fan of the mouse myself, Noel.  As a matter of fact that's what instantly drew me to the Lisa and the Mac initially, at a time when PCs were still at the command-line stage of MS-DOS and PC users were mocking and deriding menus and the mouse.
    To this day I much prefer to do anything that can be done with the mouse and/or menus without having to clutter what's left of my withered brain with the learning of commands and key combos, and my considerably handicapped hands make me a lousy typist on account of arthritis and neuropathy anyway.
    But aliases ("shortcuts") on the desktop are not necessary to launch applications or open documents.  That's what The Dock is for on the Mac, which, as you can see in my screen shot above, I keep hidden below the bottom of the screen with all its icons until I bring my cursor down to hover over that area when I need it.
    And I have double the logos you do.
    Hehehe…   I have plenty of those in reserve.    We don't want to clutter this thread with more images than necessary.

  • Concerning automatic plugin download

    i have a simple question
    what is required to make a applet,
    (automatically prompt the user to dl the pluggin) for the newest jre
    if they do not have it.
    2. if i use a <applet> tag does this prevent it i heard that it is supposed to be automatic.
    thanks in advance to anyone who answers my newbie question.

    what is required to make a applet ???The only thing that is required to make a applet is the JDK install on the person's computer that is making the applet. They/You would have to
    write and save the applet in a '.java' file eg: myApp.java
    Then compile it to a normal '.class' <java class file> file
    eg: myApp.class
    Then in included it in the webpage with <applet> tag
    also:
    The other thing is that to put/have it on a webpage page, the web browser would have to have Java enabled, most webbrowsers download with this plugin or it's own thing for java <ie MSIE> if not a person would be prompted (depends on browser setting)
    (automatically prompt the user to dl the pluggin) for
    the newest jre
    if they do not have it.Now this is different, if your applet uses any java class not found in the current version of java/jre that the person viewing your webpage has loaded with there browser or as a plug-in. You can make/(not force) but suggest to the web browser in code (which is the prompt that pops up) that the user should dl the lastest/required version of java or the jre. You can put the code in javascript/vbsccript/or the java applet.
    *The reason why I typed java/jre is b/c as a non-programmer (anyone visiting your web page doesn't need the entire java SDK installed) may have need for just the updated JRE. Also if the person is a programmer that has Java installed (the JDK) they may want to updated there entire JDK (which also updated the java plugin,java classes,etc..).
    2.if i use a <applet> tag does this prevent it i
    heard that it is supposed to be automatic.If you use an <applet> tag the web browser would use it's default action for having the applet, which depends on how the user setup there web browser.
    ie: I use Netscape and MSIE, and I'm a programmer (the means I have the Java SDK installed). In MSIE I setup it so that the Java Console from Sun runs to handle any java/javascript programming for that web browser.
    **Java Console installed with the Java SDK <Locationed in Control Panel
    In Netscape I use the install JRE that install with the browser to handle any Java/javascript <I do this for performance reasons!>
    I really hope this makes sense, and that it answers your question!
    Jimdogee ,and your welcome!

  • Looking for plugins & downloads

    Can anyone recommend any sites for getting some plugins and downloads - prefereably free? I'm running Logic Pro 6.4.3 on a 1Ghz G4 with 1 Mb RAM - Someone mentioned AU plugins? I would particularly like interesting keyboard sounds - Mellotron, Choirs, strange sounds, loops, rhythmns, guitar processing etc.
    Thanks - Dave

  • Plugin downloaded every time even if already installed

    Hello!
    I experience a strange behaviour with the java plugin. I have the following html file:
    <HTML>
    <BODY>
    <OBJECT CODEBASE="http://192.168.111.5/jre-install/j2re-1_4_1_02-windows-i586-i.exe#Version=1,4,1,2" CLASSID="clsid:5852F5ED-8BF4-11D4-A245-0080C6F74284>" HEIGHT=0 WIDTH=0>
    <PARAM NAME="app" VALUE="http://192.168.111.5/jws.jnlp">
    <PARAM NAME="back" VALUE="false">
    </OBJECT>
    </BODY>
    </HTML>
    So I want the Java runtime downloaded and installed before I start my application via JavaWebStart. Everything works: The first time the client downloads the java runtime and the application also starts with no problem. So far so good.
    The problem is: when the client accesses this html file the second time, it downloads the java runtime again. Only when the installation begins it realizes that the runtime has been installed before and asks if the user wants to deinstall the current version (which is absolutely the same of course as the downloaded one). When the user says 'cancel' the installation process is canceled and the application again starts normally. This happens every time the user accesses the html file again.
    How can I avoid that the runtime is first downloaded every time the client accesses the html page?
    Thank you very much!
    Matthias

    This happens to me only if I try to tweak the version of the Java Plugin to be downloaded from the <OBJECT> tag. For example, I had an HTML page that used <APPLET> instead of <OBJECT>, so I used HTMLConverted with my Java 1.3.1_02 SDK, and it created the CLSID for 1.3.1_02. Then, I went and changed the <OBJECT> tag to have 1.3.1_04 downloaded instead, and that cause the applet to ask the JVM to get installed every single time. Once I changed the <OBJECT> tag back to 1.3.1_02, the applet downloaded the JVM once and that was it. It ran fine the following times.
    Hope this helps.

  • [solved] Mplayer-plugin downloads files

    Whenever I play an avi with mplayer-plugin, it gets downloaded to my homedir. There's nothing wrong with playback, everything still works, but I wonder why the file is in my homedir. :S I also have to remove the file manually.
    Could it have something to do with caching?
    I'm also having problems with some streams. They say 'buffering' and then it just stops. When I look into my homedir, sure enough there's a file named playlist (because it's a stream) but it doesn't play.

    That worked. Thanks.

  • Flashplayer plugin download build 296 instead of 305

    Hi
    Rup
    Hi, trying to download, from _http://www.adobe.com/de/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html_ (use the URL without the understrokes - here they are needed to avoid the automatic transformation of this URL address to something else) an offline installer for the actual build 305 of the Flashplayer plugin for Firefox. It is marked as Build 305 in that URL, but what one gets is still the older 296. When downloading the offline installer for active-x, the correct version 305 is downloaded. Who can correct that error?
    By the way - if one uses the 1 MB short stub for the ONLINE installation, the correct build 305 is installed...
    Regards and thanks for eventual clarification,
    Rup.

  • Plugin download in object tag installs JRE also

    Hi all,
    this may sound a stupid question but ......................
    i am new to java .... my thinking was tht java plug in download and install from object tag link doesnt install jre ??? but here its doing tht ...
    ANY WAYS TO AVOID DOWNLOADING AND INSTALLING JRE WITH JAVA PLUGIN ?????????
    best regards,,
    PhadkeA

    If you want to take all advantages of latest Java (TM) releases (1.3, 1.4) you will have to use and download plugin. Unless plugin is installed already on client machines.
    If you definetely want to go without plugins you can use JDK 1.1.8. Sounds ridiculous, but most commonly used browser has built-in JVM supported Java 1.1.6. So you cannot deploy any 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4 packages in your applet. But you can go without plugin.
    With JDK 1.1.8 applet will launch right away. See the sample at http://www.4-xtrader.com

  • Windows media player plugin downloads onto my computer but will not load into my UX browser ???

    an using windows 7 and UX as a browser. i can find the folder where windows media plugin loads but it does not show up in the browser.

    Hi finitarry,
    Is your answer intended as a solution? If so, in what way?
    I've now re-installed the Firefox WMP plug-in (even though my system already had it installed) and it still will not show up in the FF 5 add-ons/plug-ins manager and FF5 still will not play an embedded WMV video file.
    Are you just commenting or do you have some advice?

  • Flash plugin downloading location problem

    Well, like alot of people - I've had problems ever since I
    installed Flash player 9. I tried out different browsers, but none
    would work, only on safari. I later found out why my videos got
    stuck and the browser died having me to restart for it to function
    properly. There is a new plug in that has been made for Firefox 2.0
    (I'm not sure about the other browsers, since I've decided to stick
    with 2.0)
    This is the site:
    http://kb.mozillazine.org/Flash
    Note this paragraph:
    quote:
    Starting with Flash 9.0.r45 the Flash plugin installer for
    Firefox and other Mozilla-based browsers no longer copies files to
    the browser plugins folder and, instead, adds the needed plugin
    files NPSWF32.dll flashplayer.xpt and other related files to the
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\Macromed\Flash folder and adds a Windows
    registry entry that enables each browser to detect Flash via plugin
    scanning using a PLID scan
    Hope that should solve your problems.
    Well anyway, my problem is, I did the above thing^ but since
    I had Opera installed before, whenever I uninstall and re-install
    Flash, it always gets stored in the opera folder even though Its
    deleted.
    This is what happens when i install the plugin:

    Can someone tell me how I can change the location to Firefox?
    thanks alot.
