Cairo-compmgr-git and shadows for new windows

Hi, I'm using stand-alone Openbox and installed cairo-compmgr-git from AUR. Everything seems to work fine except for one thing, shadows don't get drawn for new windows, just for the ones I have already open when I run "cairo-compmgr -n". This doesn't happen with cairo-compmgr from the community repository, but with this version, conky windows have shadows. Xcompmgr-dana works fine also, but the entire screen flickers when dragging things around. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I got the same problem today after a normal update, now the cairo-compmgr from the community repo is having the same issue. I deleted the config file from ~/.config/cairo-compmgr and nothing.
Some help will be appreaciated

  • HTML-DB OAE Javascript to close current window and open a new window

    Hi everybody,
    We work with 1.6.
    What we want is to close the current window and open a new window with the URL mentionned in the window.open('http://www.cf.qc/pls/portal/PORTAL.....,'newwindow').
    The new window opening fires only once although we call it many times.
    Our javascript is:
    function closeTest()
    { alert('closeTest');
    if('&REQUEST.'=='QUITTER2'){
    w = window.self;
    w.opener = w;
    w.close();
    window.open('http://www.cf.qc/pls/portal/PORTAL.home','newwindow','toolbar=yes,location=yes,directories=yes,status=yes,menubar=yes,scrollbars=yes,resizable=yes');
    We call it on our application attributes :
    OnLoad="closeTest()"
    Thanks. Bye.

    Try this on for size:
    I have included two functions.
    windowRebuild() - opens a new window, maximizes it based on the screen size, removes all toolbars, and then closes the old window.
    myLocation(appName, pageName) - builds a url referencing an HTMLDB application, specfic to what server you are currently on. Very useful when you have an application on 3 different servers(dev, test, prod servers), you wouldn't want the server name hardcoded if you plan to export the app to another server.
    Also, you need to be careful when using &APP_ID. I am not completely certain how that is resolved at runtime, but I've found it only works when the javascript is in the HTML Header of a page and not stored in the template of the page.
    <script language="JavaScript1.1" type="text/javascript">
      This functions is for internal application use.
      Examples of myLocation:
      url = myLocation('&APP_ID.', 'APP_PUBLIC_PAGE');
      url = myLocation('MY_APP_ALIAS', 'MY_PAGE_ALIAS');
      url = myLocation('184', '10');
    function myLocation(myApp, myPage){
      var myHost = location.host;
      var newURL;
      newURL = 'http://'+myHost+'/pls/htmldb/f?p='+myApp.toString()+':'+myPage.toString();
      return newURL;
    /*  Function windowRebuild()
    *   This function will open a new window and close the old window.
    *   This function will also maximize the new window and remove all toolbars.
    function windowRebuild(){
       if(window.name != 'myAppWin'){
        var url = myLocation('&APP_ID.', 'PAGE_ALIAS');
        var myWin = window.open(url,'myAppWin','toolbar=0,scrollbars=1,menubar=0,status=1,resizable=1,location=0');
        window.opener = 'x';
        window.close();
       if(window.name == 'myAppWin'){
        window.moveTo(0,0);
        window.resizeTo(screen.availWidth,screen.availHeight);
    </script>Let me know if that works or you need some more explanation.

  • SRW.SET_HYPERLINK - Handle SPACE in filename AND open in NEW WINDOW

    Report 10g (10.1.2.3.0 - 32bit on Windows 7 64bit)
    Issue #1:
    using srw.set_hyperlink to get a handle on *.pdf file on remote server. Report is launched as PDF. PDF that is opened via the URL launches in same window as report. I need run report as PDF, click hyperlink to get handle on another file which should launch in New Window.
    SRW.SET_HYPERLINKATTR only useful with HTML and HTMLCSS. Javascript? If so, sample code?
    Issue #2:
    possible that file retrieved will have spaces in its name. Hyperlink defaults %20 in the spaces of the name, but the link does not successfully retrieve file. Tried replacing spaces w/ %20, but like defaults does not retrieve document; due to actual file name not having the %20 in its actual name. Is there are way to account for the spaces in the URL then "remove" them to find the correct file and open in new window?
    Tried using virtual path as well as physical path.
    Help with either or both issues is truly appreciated,
    Thanks!!

    Hello,
    When you set the property "Hyperlink", the property "Additionnal Hyperlink Attributes (HTML)" is displayed. Set this property to :

  • Open and style a new window

    Hello,
    Following this thread Re: Apply CSS to help window I'm trying to open and style a new window, using JavaScript. I'm using the following script:
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
    function newwin(targetURL) {
    var swin = window.open(targetURL,null);
    swin.focus();
    swin.document.getElementsByTagName("body")[0].dir = "rtl";
    </script>In a pure HTML environment, it works just fine. In ApEx I'm receiving an error message http://i2.tinypic.com/vfl7qc.png, which relate to the first window. For some reason, the reference to the new window (swin) does not work properly.
    An example page can be seen at http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=22814:30
    Can anyone please help me understand where the problem is?
    Thanks,
    Arie.

    I've just tried your supplied code in Firefox and Internet Explorer in an Apex environment and they both worked fine.
    FYI I tested with the following links on my host page:
    < A href=javascript:newwin('http://www.leeds.ac.uk');>Click here!< /a >
    < A href=javascript:newwin('f?p=103:1:&SESSION.');>Click here!< /a >
    And the Javascript code in the header section of the same page.
    A few questions:
    - Which browser are you using?
    - What will be in your popup? Another Apex page or something else?
    - If an APEX page, what does the URL look like? Different to mine above?
    - Is the popup Apex page a 'normal' page - or have you customised the template significantly?
    I would guess that your error message is referring to the fact that getElementsByTagName is returning null - rather than the reference to the window. Thus, I'd check for the existance of a body tag and a generally well formed destination page. Test with leeds.ac.uk as I used above to confirm.
    Hope this helps
    Ben

  • How to setup MM costing and drive for new parts before ECM release key is triggered?

    Hi,
        I am on the engineering side of SAP ERP where I create new materials, BOMs, etc.  We do this with a change master without release key today.   We are switching to a more controlled/managed process for engineering changes where we will use change masters with a release key and approval workflows for these tasks (ECM).   The problem we are seeing is that the supply chain side of the business is not able to perform their tasks of costing materials and driving for new parts until the ECM workflows are complete, release key is active, and the changes are valid for production.  There must be a way for supply chain to perform these tasks beforehand, so that when the release key becomes active, material costing is complete, new materials are already on hand (or at least been ordered), so that the process of procurement/production orders are not delayed.  Can you point me to documentation that provides an overview, or summarizes what the best practices are for our supply chain when we start working with ECM release keys?
    Thanks,
    Joseph

    the release key allows you to release the change for specific business functions. Please look at the options available in release key configuration. You will need multiple release keys to bring the changes in a more controlled manner.

  • It is necessary for me to have more than one window open in Firefox, and the command (New Window) no longer works. How do I have two different websites open at the same time on separate displays?

    I used to be able to open two Firefox windows at a time, with one website on one display and another website on another display. Now when I select New Window, nothing happens.

    You can tear off a tab (right-click: Move to New Window) to open it in another window and resize both windows so you see them at the same time.

  • Why are the keyboard shortcuts for new window and new tab (N) and (W) instead of (W) and (T) when I right-click on bookmarks in my toolbar?

    If I right click on a link in a page, the context menu allows me to open a new tab if I hit t on my keyboard and a new window if I hit w. In the bookmarks menu, these shortcuts change to w and n respectively. Hitting t results in deletion of the bookmark. Can this be changed so it is consistent with the in-page context menu?

    You can middle-click a link to open the link in a new tab.

  • Firefox opens the old browsing window (previous session) every time i try and open a new window, how do I change this back?

    Every time I go to open a new window, the old one will come up instead. For a while it was working fine, then I kept needing the old window and would use the 'restore previous session' feature to access this. However, even after I didn't need it anymore (and without me selecting the feature, it would still open the previous session.

    It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
    Delete the files sessionstore.js [2] and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

    If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.<br />
    Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

  • I can no longer hold down the Safari icon on the dock and open a new window

    I noticed after installing Snow Leopard that I am unable to hold down the icon for Safari on my dock and choose the option to open a new window. I have had to revert to (Command-Tabbing) through my open applications to get to Safari, then (Command-N).
    I found it much more convenient to do it the other way. Am I missing something, or is this something that has been removed with the new Snow Leopard operating system?
    Please help. Thanks!

    Thank you. What a pain though. Why would they make it a separate command now. It would be so easy to have kept it in the pop-up that shows when you hold the cursor down on it.

  • Tabs for new windows no longer accumulate; only current tab shows. How do I get new sites on tabs?

    Previously, tabs for new links showed at top of address bar and accumulated as I surfed. Now, only current site/window shows an accompanying tab. What happened to the tabbing process? Can't find an answer in Firefox Help. I have Windows 7. Thanks. Kusgol

    I use that add-on. Works great.

  • How do I forces FF 23 to open maximized, not full screen, but maximized, both on start up and when opening new windows?

    Firefox 23 does not open maximized nor does it open new windows maximized. As such I have to manually maximize each window.
    Run is set to maximized in the shortcut properties, yet it still opens in a normal or less than normal size window.
    Older versions open maximized with no problem. I have Profile manager configured so that I can run multiple versions at the same time and everything opens maximized except FF 23.
    is there some setting in the about:config interface or is this a genuine BUG in the latest version? Any help would be appreciated greatly.
    Also can you tell me how to modify the title bar text/icon/etc as well as where to find the icon or portable network graphic (png) file for the main-window.ico or direct me to appropriate knowledge base articles for modifying both.

    My localstore.rdf file was fine. The problem was caused by two plug-ins that Mozilla shows as being compatible with Firefox 23, when in fact they both cause undesired side effects.
    Maybe the employees of Mozilla should actually test plug-ins before they allow them to be available for download or worse yet, recommend them.
    And if any of the in-house developers had a clue they would stop removing old lines of code from Mozilla products so that new versions of Firefox would still be compatible with older plug-ins and extensions people would still like to use.
    I had to remove recommended extensions and copy code from older versions of FF and NS and modify settings in about:config to allow older extensions to work to correct the problems and get Firefox to work the way I need it to. All in all I have over forty hours invested in modding FF at this point just to have it function the way it used to.
    Unfortunately, since I still can't get buttons designed to open .URL links from the toolbar to work as they did in the past I have a feeling I'll be returning to older code sources to find more answers.
    Lucky for me that I have every browser going back to NCSA Mosaic available to me, so every bit of code from the present till back before Mozilla existed is include in my knowledge base. It's a shame Mozilla doesn't keep such a reference available for it's users or apparently it's in house developers and staff.
    Maybe I'll even re-enable the splash screen for Firefox since the only available plug-in for that doesn't appear to work with Version 23 either, even though once again the compatibility adviser says it does
    It's truly sad that the result of Marc Andreessen's and James Clark's work and Netscape in general became the spawning Mozilla. What used to be a great browser and an acceptable replacement for Netscape, has become a joke. So much for all the hard work and effort made by Dave Hyatt and Blake Ross as well.
    I guess that's what one should expect from the developers that are a part of generations X, Y, and Me. The attitudes associated with those generations show in the lack of thought, consideration, and ingenuity that have been a part the last several versions of FF, not to mention, the copying of features from Chrome.
    When the only original idea to come out of Mozilla of late is to remove or disable features people have used and counted on for decades, the I don't care, I don't know, and me, me, me attitudes of so many from the aforementioned generations is truly evident in the last twenty incarnations of Firefox. Not to mention the attitudes and unhelpful nature of the responses users encounter when asking for help.

  • Open in New Tab and Open in New Window have switched places, how to revert?

    I was glad to find as i logged in today that Firefox had a update ready. I was even more excited when i learned that the browser itself has been updated. And while all these new and exciting things make Firefox an amazing choice for a browser, im at my wits end on this little change that is annoying the hell out of me.
    Apparently between 3.6 and the new Firefox, when you right click on a link, you see Open in New Window in the spot where Open in New Tab was. This may not seem like a big deal, but to a person who has been opening windows in tabs since tabbed browsing came out, i absolutely hate having multiple windows open.
    When i right click on a link, its an automatic reflex for me to open it in a new tab, but now i cant. Each time i end up opening a window instead. Is there an easy fix to this little problem that's driving me insane?

    Opening order of Tabs in 4.0.1
    To make TABS open to the right within each browser window in the same order as you opening them:
    What to do:
    Open a second window so you can read these instr.
    Enter "about:config" in URL address bar.
    Get a warning - 'Are you sure / advanced settings...blah, blah. '
    Click YES
    Scroll down the page until you find the described line:
    "browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent"
    Find it a ways down, then right click on the line to then TOGGLE the menu pop-up option to "FALSE" DONE !
    It worked immediately, no need to restart.
    My tabs now all open to the right in order of them being opened.
    Nice.
    Thank you 'Platon' from a different Mozilla help site.
