Calc with a rates cube

I have 2 cubes, 1 with a Local Scenario / Scenario and a rates cube that converts the numbers from Local to USD. When have one dept in the Product category that should not be converted. I have tried several things to bypass this dept but I continue to get errors. I used if statement and other statement but I can't seem to get it to work. The set-up:DataCopy Local scenario to ScenarioThenFix ("2004 Act+Dem"); CCONV "2004 Act Type"->"US Dollar";Endfix; Any help would be appreciated

Unless you switch of CCTRACK in the cfg file, you will not be able to complete this task.Set the cfg file with the CCTRACK FALSE command. Your calc script will not validate, but will run correctly once this has been changed.Hope this helpsAndy Kingwww.analitica.co.uk

  • The Cube with ID = Rate doesn't exist in the collection Error Message

When doing a Full Optimization in the Rate cube I get a "The Cube with ID = Rate doesn't exist in the collection" error message. What is causing this error and how do I fix it?

I have seen this error when reporting services was not properly configured. can you connect to http://servername/reports ?
If not try to fix reporting services first, this solved the problem for me in the past.
But usually in this case all the aplications are giving this error when modifying. Is this also the case in your appset?
Does Apshell work when you modify the application there?

  • Increased calc time in Essbase cube

    Hello-
I have an Essbase cube that just recently started experiencing very long calc times. The cube has been in a 9.3.1 environment for approximately 4 months and there haven't been any major additions to the data. Just adding Actuals every month. I had a CalcAll running in approximately 2 minutes and now it's running in 2+ hours. This essentially happened overnight. The size of the page file is 267Mb and index file is 25Mb. The data cache and index cache are currently set at 400,000Kb and 120,000Kb respectively.
This is a 7 dimensional cube with 2 dense dimensions... Accounts and Time. My block size is high due to the large amount of level 0 Accounts... 215,384Kb.
The number of index page writes and data block reads & writes is pretty high... 128,214 - 3,809,875. And the hit ratio on the data cache is .07.
I've tried adjusting the data cache and index cache both up and down... but with no success.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

Here are a couple of things to think about
How big is the databasename.ind file? How often do you restructure the database? if it is large, it means the database is fragmented (you can also look at the database stats to help figure it out) Every time you runn the calc all, you cause fragmentation.
If you have agg missing off it also increases the calc time. Also, you will find that calculation a loaded cube takes longer than if you have a cube with just level zero data.
If your database is not too big, you might try exporting level zero data, clearing the database, reloading the data and doing your calc all. (of course I would try this on a copy of the production database not the actual database itself). You might fined it quicker than your straight calc.
Since you do a straight calc all, you might also consider converting this to an ASO cube, you really get rid of the call all in total.

  • Problem while 're-posting' a cancelle Invoice with Exchange Rate Difference

    Hi Gurus,
We are facing a problem while re-posting an Invoice with Exchange Rate Difference. I say re-posting because this invoice was previously posted and reversed on the same date. Here is the scenario along with the relevant postings:
    1)
G/R is posted in September when the exchange rate for dollar was, say, Rs. 49 = 1 USD.
    Posting:
    Service A/C.....100 USD (Rs. 4900)
         To SR/IR Clearing A/C...100 USD (Rs. 4900)
    2)
MIRO is done in October, when the exchange rate was, say, Rs. 48 = 1 USD. Thus, the exchange difference posting was done in the respective accounts.
    Posting:
    SR/IR Clearing A/C......100 USD (Rs. 4900)
To Vendor A/C...........90 USD (Rs. 4320)
To TDS A/C..............10 USD (Rs.  480)
To Exch. Difference A/C. 0 USD (Rs.  100)
This was the correct entry, however we missed out some TDS codes and thus needed to reverse this entry and repost it.
    3)
Now this invoice was reversed (T.Code MIRO) in october itself on exactly the same date on which invoice was created, and it resulted in the following postings:
    Vendor A/C......90 USD (Rs. 4320)
    TDS A/C.........10 USD (Rs.  480)
         To SR/IR Clearing A/C...100 USD (4800, i.e. 48 * 100, Rs.48 being the exchange rate in october)
    4)
Now when we try to post MIRO again, it is posting the following entry:
    SR/IR Clearing A/C......97.96 USD (Rs. 4800)
Exch. Difference A/C.....2.04 USD (Rs.    0)
         To Vendor A/C........... 85 USD (Rs. 4080)
         To TDS1 A/C............. 10 USD (Rs.  480)
         To TDS2 A/C.............  5 USD (Rs.  240)
This is a wrong entry. SR/IR clearing A/C should have been debited by 100 USD (Rs. 4900), and the Exch. Rate difference account should have been credited by 0 USD (Rs. 100)
Can someone please help us with this. What the system seems to be doing is, that when the Invoice was reversed, the value that got reversed for SR/IR Clearing A/C was 100 USD but with Rs. 4800 instead of Rs. 4900. Now, when we try to repost the invoice, the system divided this value by the exchange rate prevalent in September, i.e. Rs. 49, thus the resultant value 97.96 USD (i.e.  4800 / 49).
    Please help.
    Thanks!
    Regards,
    Angad Nagpal

    Solved.
The final entry is correct, as the net result in the G/L balances is the same. For further information please refer to notes 116250 and 46564.
    Thanks!

  • FOC items with bill rate as "0" are not appearing in project invoice

Customer has a unique requirement of billing resources working on the project for free due to business reasons.
The issue is that the FOC items with bill rate as "0" are not appearing when the invoice is generated.
Please let me know if any one has come across this kind of a requirement and please share if you have any workaround.

    Hi
You may try setting the bill rate for those cases as 0.01.
That way the items will be included in the invoice, but not affect dramatically the amount billed to customer.

  • Clearing with specific Rates

    Hi,
I was wondering whether it is possible to post and clear a document with a specific rate based on the rate table using any methods other than the document's original rate? Thanks.

    Hi CY,
          Could you clarify the requirement?
The SAP Standard is to use exchange rate type M/EURX,with the rate valid for the clearing date
When Using Trx F-04 it is possible to enter a different rate.

  • Using my Mac mini with my old Cube - questions

    Hey, all-
It was my hope to use my new mini along with my old Cube (the Cube to be an additional hard drive more than anything else) but I can't seemto figure out how to make them work together. The firewire cable I have connecting the two isn't letting the mini recognize the Cube for whatever reason. And I can't see how both of them can be used in the Target Disk Mode since they connect to my Apple flat screen with different connectors.
Hopefully, this is an easy fix somehow - I'm willing to look like a newb just as long as I can make this work.
Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!
    Cheers,
    Kevin

I wondered if I hard lined my Cube to it, it would be
recognized on the desktop, yes? Or is the Target
method the only way I would be able to "see" the
    Cube.
When connected together with an ethernet cable, you would then need to ensure that the cube was set to allow 'sharing' (in the Sharing preference pane) and give the Cube a share name and then on the mini, in the Finder, go to Network in the Go menu, or Connect to Server in the Go menu and type in the share name given to the Cube. It may ask you for an ID and password that is valid on the Cube, but once entered, will mount the Cube's drive on the mini's desktop.
Firewire connection is going to be a bit faster than ethernet, though for anything but large files you probably won't notice much, but the advantage of using ethernet is that you don't need to do anything to the Cube but start it normally.

  • Statistical calc with MDX question (Mode function as an excel)

    Hi All,
I need to create an MDX Calc to Returns the most frequently occurring, or repetitive, value in an array or range of data.
      For example, the mode of 2, 3, 3, 5, 7, 10 is 3.
In Excel I use the MODE() function but I don't know how to do this in MDX and add it as a measure in Universe.
I can't do the formula in WEBI because we have big data volume and I can't retrieve all the customers in WEBI.
We have SAP BW 7.0 and SAP BusinessObjects XI 3.1 fix pack 1.3
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
it looks like you created the entry twice so I would suggest you close on of them:
Statistical calc with MDX question (Mode function as an excel)
I don't think that those kind of statistical functions are available in MDX. you can always go to se37 and use the bapi_get_functions to see the list of supported functions.

Can some one please throw some light on how the end-end transaction flows.
My understanding is that a OTC -derivate contract can be created with either a Floor or CAP interest rate in TO01 and then
settle the contract in TO04  - Post the deal in TBB1. Don't know what next.
    My Questions are
what is next cycle process after we settle the deal and post the same in TBB1.
how we do adjustments to interest rates - dont know how to use transaction code TPM80.
how the treasury end user will do the valuation on the contracts every 3 months. what is the transaction used to do the valuation.
Can some please let us know the transaction cycle flow of this.
    Awaiting your response.

  • BW Report with currency rates

    Hello,
small question: Does anybody has generated a report in BW which is showing (only) the different currency rates (the ones from T-Code OB08)? (= sorry, newbie-question, I know...)
At the moment we're creating a list with the rates in excel by coping the rates from SAP into Excel by hand - would be more fun to do this in an automated way...
    Thanks in advance,
    Hansi

Haven't tried it as I don't have the right to read in tables.

  • Rate contracts scenario with maultiple rate tarrifs

    Hi all of you,
My client is spending lot of money on cab services and he is asking to configure the following scenario -
    1. They have rate contract which consists with the rate tariffs like below 100km 10/- and more than 150km 12/- and idele time of the cab and driver bhatta (beta) so on.
    2. Even they don not know the quantity and value of the contract since these two are mandatory to create any contract in SAP
    3. And they are not creating any Work orders against the services
    4. On a given date, they are receiving the cab invoices along with the trip sheets - for which they want to get the automatic rate calculation when enters the details in invoice / by referring the contract.
Is the above requirement can be handled in SAP or not. If yes, please give the suggestions regarding.

  • Problem with exchange rate GBP/EUR

    Hi everyone,
I have an issue regarding 2 documents that have been posted the same date (31.05.2011) but with different exchange rates.
The first doc is type ZP, posted with exchange rate GBP/EUR=0,88XXX (entry date: 26.05.2011, T.Code: F110)
The second one is type BK, posted with exchange rate GBP/EUR=0,87XXX (entry date: 01.06.2011, T.Code: FB01)
Both documents use the same exchange rate type EURX.
I checked in OBA7,  there is no default value for the field "Exchange rate type for foreign currency docs" in both cases.
Do you have any idea how to solve this problem?
    Thanks in advance,
    Soumaya

    Hi,
If the exchange rate is maintained in OB08 once a month, and in the meanwhile, if you are trying to post any transaction with foreign currency, the system would pick the last available/maintained rate in the table. For Eg: if the rate is maintained upto 30.04.2011 with 0,88XXX and if you have made a document with ZP with posting date as 31.05.11, the system would pick the rate of 30.04.2011 only as there is no rate maintained as on 31.05.11 on the date of transaction. And later, if you would have maintained the exchange rates for the entire month for the individual day of May, and when you processed a document type BK, the system would have picked the actual rate maintained in OB08 as on 31.05.11 ie 0,87XXX. Hence may be the difference.
Please check whether the above was the scenario with you (by referring to the changes option referred by the experts).
    Regards
    Hari
