Calendar Display Attributes have no effect

I am having problems with the following attributes:
Begin at Start of Interval
Item Containing Start Date
Item Containing End Date
This is how you can reproduce my problems:
Create page -> New page -> Calendar -> SQL Calendar-> "Calendar test page" -> SQL Query ( just to simulate whole month of activity ):
select to_char(date_col, 'Day') char_col, date_col date_col
from (SELECT trunc(sysdate, 'mm') + LEVEL - 1 as date_col
FROM DUAL

then I go to Calendar Attributes and uncheck "Begin at Start of Interval"
But "Monthly" Calendar view does not change a bit ( it should not start at the begining of this month ). I also tried creating two hidden items and put their names into "Item Containing Start Date" and "Item Containing End Date" fields; and assigning them different values spanning from couple of days to couple of months. It does not have any effect.
What am I doing wrong ? Can anyone reproduce this ? Did that ever worked ?
Any help would be appreciated.

I also found an error in the help for the "Item Containing End Date". There's stated that the date format should be YYYMMDD... I suppose that's YYYYMMDD (like in the online doc)

If you purchased Lion for your iMac, just log into the Mac App Store from your MacBook using the Apple ID under which you purchased Lion and go to the Purchases page. You will be able to download and install Lion there.
searching the internet i found a link to upgrtade to 10.7
The only place you get get Lion is from the Mac App Store. If you found some other site, that was an illegal copy and almost certainly tied to someone else's Apple ID and hence unusable by you. If the link was just to the Mac App Store, see above.
As to the problem with synchronization to iCloud, that's not a 10.6 question, so I'd suggest you take up that specific issue in either the Lion or iCloud forums, providing full details, and someone there can probably help you sort things out.

Effect Screensaver, Sleep and Display off have on Encoding processes?
I'm trying to understand the effect screensaver, sleep and turning display off have on applications such as burning a dvd, ripping a home dvd, encoding processes, etc.
I'm assuming sleep will abort those sorts of processes?
What about screensaver and display options?
Sometimes I have to run certain encoding or converting processes for a while and I'd rather conserve energy, instead of turning the settings to Never for all.jeffmdaemon wrote:

I havn't tried this, but using the enable hibernation method , that is going to network adapter properties and turning OFF the "wake on" in the advanced tab which seems to disable the connected standby, the tablet may resume working like a regular laptop complete with seperate sleep and screen off modes.
Just keep in mind this disables connected standby for good, you will need to hybernate or shut down to turn the tablet off. -

so that the current day always shows on top? ie, I want to always be able to see what's in the future 3-4 weeks, not what's in the past 3-4 weeks. The default monthly display is archaic--only allows you to see through the last day of the month. Suddenly today
is Oct. 30th, and I have a ton of projects lined up in November, but because I haven't been scrolling down every day, I haven't been aware of them every day. I realize there are other tools in Microsoft to help me stay on task, such as reminders and such,
but it would be helpful if I could always have the current day display on top of the monthly view so I can quickly scan what's coming up in the next few weeks.Thank you!
Right, I already have it in Month view. My question is a little more specific--I'd like for the current day to always display at the top. For example, today is Oct. 31st, so the current day is at the bottom of the calendar since it is the last day of the month.
I can view everything in October that I've already completed. What I can't see are the future weeks because we haven't hit November yet. I'd like for the current day to always display at the top of my calendar so I can always see what's coming in the following

format until Outlook programmers add this Technology Age feature in newer versions.
See, this month kind of messed me up because I have so many projects for November that start tomorrow and next week, but I haven't seen them until this week. I would have been better quipped--at least expecting them--had I been able to see all of those projects
since last week or the week prior.
If there is no solution to this answer, would you know how I can contact Outlook to provide feedback? I'm guessing a newer version is on its way...

Boot into Safe Mode then repair your hard drive and permissions:

Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
Repair the Hard Drive - Lion/Mountain Lion/Mavericks
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the Utilites Menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD disk icon and click on the arrow button below.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. Restart your computer normally and see if this has helped any. Next do some maintenance:
For situations Disk Utility cannot handle the best third-party utility is Disk Warrior; DW only fixes problems with the disk directory, but most disk problems are caused by directory corruption; Disk Warrior 4.x is now Intel Mac compatible.
Note: Alsoft ships DW on a bootable DVD that will startup Macs running Snow Leopard or earlier. It cannot start Macs that came with Lion or later pre-installed, however, DW will work on those models.
Suggestions for OS X Maintenance
OS X performs certain maintenance functions that are scheduled to occur on a daily, weekly, or monthly period. The maintenance scripts run in the early AM only if the computer is turned on 24/7 (no sleep.) If this isn't the case, then an excellent solution is to download and install a shareware utility such as Macaroni, JAW PseudoAnacron, or Anacron that will automate the maintenance activity regardless of whether the computer is turned off or asleep. Dependence upon third-party utilities to run the periodic maintenance scripts was significantly reduced since Tiger. These utilities have limited or no functionality with Snow Leopard or later and should not be installed.
OS X automatically defragments files less than 20 MBs in size, so unless you have a disk full of very large files there's little need for defragmenting the hard drive.

About file quarantine in OS X
If you require anti-virus protection I recommend using VirusBarrier Express 1.1.6 or Dr.Web Light both from the App Store. They're both free, and since they're from the App Store, they won't destabilize the system. (Thank you to Thomas Reed for these recommendations.)
Troubleshooting Applications
I recommend downloading a utility such as TinkerTool System, OnyX, Mavericks Cache Cleaner, or Cocktail that you can use for removing old log files and archives, clearing caches, etc. Corrupted cache, log, or temporary files can cause application or OS X crashes as well as kernel panics.
If you have Snow Leopard or Leopard, then for similar repairs install the freeware utility Applejack. If you cannot start up in OS X, you may be able to start in single-user mode from which you can run Applejack to do a whole set of repair and maintenance routines from the command line. Note that AppleJack 1.5 is required for Leopard. AppleJack 1.6 is compatible with Snow Leopard. Applejack does not work with Lion and later.
Basic Backup
For some people Time Machine will be more than adequate. Time Machine is part of OS X. There are two components:
1. A Time Machine preferences panel as part of System Preferences;
2. A Time Machine application located in the Applications folder. It is
used to manage backups and to restore backups. Time Machine
requires a backup drive that is at least twice the capacity of the
drive being backed up.
Alternatively, get an external drive at least equal in size to the internal hard drive and make (and maintain) a bootable clone/backup. You can make a bootable clone using the Restore option of Disk Utility. You can also make and maintain clones with good backup software. My personal recommendations are (order is not significant):
1. Carbon Copy Cloner
2. Get Backup
3. Deja Vu
4. SuperDuper!
5. Synk Pro
6. Tri-Backup

Additional Hints
Be sure you have an adequate amount of RAM installed for the number of applications you run concurrently. Be sure you leave a minimum of 10% of the hard drive's capacity as free space.
Add more RAM. If your computer has less than 2 GBs of RAM and you are using OS X Leopard or later, then you can do with more RAM. Snow Leopard and Lion work much better with 4 GBs of RAM than their system minimums. The more concurrent applications you tend to use the more RAM you should have.
Always maintain at least 15 GBs or 10% of your hard drive's capacity as free space, whichever is greater. OS X is frequently accessing your hard drive, so providing adequate free space will keep things from slowing down.
Check for applications that may be hogging the CPU:
Pre-Mavericks
Open Activity Monitor in the Utilities folder. Select All Processes from the Processes dropdown menu. Click twice on the CPU% column header to display in descending order. If you find a process using a large amount of CPU time (>=70,) then select the process and click on the Quit icon in the toolbar. Click on the Force Quit button to kill the process. See if that helps. Be sure to note the name of the runaway process so you can track down the cause of the problem.
Mavericks and later

Often this problem occurs because of a corrupted cache or preferences file or an attempt to write to a corrupted log file. -
Display attributes from "global" and other entities in a single screen
As far as I know, in OPM attributes of only one type of entity can be added to any given screen.
As per of functional requirements of my current project Ihave to display attributes from more than one type of entity in some of the screens.
I found a workaround for entities which has only one instance (singleton entity in version 10.1), but couldn’t figure out how to display attributes of entities which has multiple instances.
For example:
We have an entity called <b>“the child”</b> which has many attributes. There can be more than one child instances defined in a given assessment session.
This particular screen should have attributes which belong to the <b>"global"</b> and <b>"the child"</b> instances.
(The names of all the children should be displayed on the screen as <b>check boxes</b> so the user can select the children who are affected by the global attributes displayed on the screen.)
Is this achievble in OPM 10.1?
SP1D3R MANDisplaying Global attributes and nested entity level attributes on the same question screen cannot be done in OPM 10.1 with out-of-the-box functionality. It would have to be a custom screen. (FYI, I'm not a programmer so I can't advise on how to build such a custom screen.)
Before building customisations, you should also consider whether you really need to use an old version of the product. OPA 10.1 was released early last year; the current version is 10.3. -
Calendar display off by two days
My phone calendar displays all events as two days earlier but each entry when opened has the correct date e.g. all todays events 8th Nov show as Sat 6th Nov. When i hit the today button it shows the 6th not the 8th but shows the 8th events.
Confused? So am Ii guess we have the same problem...my mac & me account are synching properly but when it comes to my IP the bdate is 2 days ahead of the actual date.

i have an iphone 3s and have it syncing with exchange nicely. i have found that on some days in my calendar when i go to that day the iphone cancels the calendar and takes me back to the homepage. i have deleted my exchange account on the iphone and reconfigured it and still have the same problem. does anyone have any ideas?Sorry Tattsy I am not going to offer help here but your situation is somewhat similar to mine and I thought why not throw our problems together maybe someone can help us both.
My problem is with the display of All Day events. I'm running a 3gs, Outlook 2007 on winxp, connected to a Exchange 2007 server. When an all day event is put in for multiple days the phone calendar displays it as starting at midnight going to midnight, and sometimes wont display the event on the list view on the phone. I can correct the display by editing it on the phone and making it all day there, but then the category I assigned the event in outlook goes away in outlook. All day single day events work just fine. Any suggestions? -
Storm 9800 calendar display on homepage
Hey, I'm having an issue ever since I uploaded the newest Storm update, my calendar appointments and reminders used to fill the homepage with upcoming events when I clicked on them. Now, ever since the update, only the next three display and I can't find a setting in calendar or settings or anywhere else that talks about how to change the number of upcoming events that display. Any ideas?
This calendar display would be controlled by your theme. Are you still using the same theme you had before the update?

I have a new iPhone5 with iOS 6.0.2 installed. iCloud is set up. My problem is I cannot get any calendar to acutally display. I can see list of calendars, can hide names of calendars, can Show calendars, and change the color of a calendar. But at no time does an actual calendar display. Help!

Error while changing the Display Attribute into Navigational Attribute
Hi all.. Gud Mrng.
I was changed the attribute (product) from display attribute into navigational attribute and while save and activating the info object it is not getting activated and it is throwing the below error message.
Error Message: u201CThe Info object is being used in several data targetsu201D
My Questions:
i) Do I need to delete the data from all the data targets (where this info object is using)??
ii) Do I need to delete data only from the main info object (Zmaterial)? Is this single action enough?
Please suggest me which action I need to follow & What are the precautions need to take while changing the Display Attribute (product) into Navigational attribute of info object (Zmaterial).

Only in case of key figures we cannot change it from display to navigational.
If the info object is a characteristics then in the General tab of the info object if you select 'attribute only' then the iobj would be a display attribute only. If you leave it unmarked then you can use the iobj as a navigational atribute.
I am sure you know that these settings only mean if a IOBJ can be used as display or navigational. To use it as a navigational within another object you will have to change the settings from 'DIS' to 'NAV' for the said info object in the 'Attributes' tab of its parent info object.
Further if you use the parent info object in any data target / infio provider you will have to further mark the info object as 'navigational' while defining the attrbute of the said data target / info provider. The info object gets displayed in the data target / info provider attribute properties as 'parent IOBJ_info object'

Displaying more than one display attribute in a tree component problem

I have a parent table and child table, I want to display a parent table's display attribute and below that i want to display child tables two display attributes (while defining the rule for a tree compoment).
What i'm getting is :
I can able to display more than one "display attributes" for my parent table, but when i'm trying to implement that for my child table under my parent table. I am only geting the blank folder structure without names.
For example:
Parent table: Deparetment(id, name)
child table: Employee(id, firstName, lastName)
What i want is:
In a Tree:-

I too am having the same issue only I am in Regina, Canada. iCloud appears to think Regina, Canada is in the Central time zone which it is, but it does not use Daylight Savings time. My PC is Windows 7 and I am using Outlook 2010. I have iCloud on iPhone 5 and iPad 2. Terribly frustrating!

BUG - in flash pro CC, 'bold' and 'italic' properties of TextFormat have no effect on rendered text
Concise problem statement:
If you compile with flash pro CC, and use the 'setTextFormat' method of a TextField, the 'bold' and 'italic' properties of the TextFormat argument have no effect on the rendered text. If you compile with flash pro CS6, the 'bold' and 'italic' properties work as expected.
Apparently, with flash pro CC, the only way to make the text render correctly is to change the font name (add the suffix ' Bold', ' Italic', or ' Bold Italic'.) This means code which dynamically changes font styles only works in CS6 or CC, but not both. For example, if you use the 'bold' property the text renders bold in CS6 and regular in CC, whereas if you change the font name to add the suffix ' Bold', the text renders bold in CC and DOES NOT RENDER at all in CS6. This makes it difficult to transition a team from CS6 to CC.
Steps to reproduce bug:
1. Create an xfl with 2 TextFields on the stage, both with font "Trebuchet MS" and style "regular", one named boldTrueText containing the String "bold = true", one named fontNameText containing the String "fontName = Trebuchet MS Bold". Create 2 more TextFields on the stage for visual reference, both with font "Trebuchet MS", one with style "regular", one with style "bold".
2. Add the following code to the Actions panel on frame 1:

I submitted this bug with the bug form, and also with adobe bugbase (in case it isn't obsolete) - I'm just trying to maximize my chances of getting a fix. Has anyone else encountered this bug?I just can't believe how there is ZERO documenation for any of this. Flash's stylesheets have fontStyle and fontWeight properties, but they only recognize regular/italic and regular/bold respectively.
This change in Flash CC completely breaks systems built in Flash CS6, and the font naming is actually arbitrary and is not a consistant combination of font name and style (e.g. "Eras ITC" family's bold font name is "Eras Bold ITC", but the bold version of Times New Roman is "Times New Roman Bold" (with Bold at the end, rather than the middle), and what's absolutely appaling is that the font name used at runtime is not exposed anywhere in the Flash IDE!!! In the IDE you select a font family and font style independently, which is absolutely not what's used at runtime, because it actually uses a separate, arbitrarily named field in the font file for the font name. So we can't even know from within Flash what the proper runtime name is, unless we trace it out or open the font properties details tab in Windows explorer.
It seems that Flash CC is always using the font "Title" that can be found in the properties of the font, NOT the font name displayed in Windows Font Preview or in Flash CC. For example, the font name for Times New Roman Bold in Windows Font Preview is just "Times New Roman", but the font title in the properties/details tab is "Times New Roman Bold". If they made the change to allow for specific fonts to be selected, that's fine, but it completely breaks HTML support in TextFields if it's not respecting bold and italic tags.

The CSS provided in every kit uses a unique font-family name for each weight and style, and sets the weight and style in the @font-face declaration to normal. [...] Notice that the font-family names are unique, with each font-family name accessing the appropriate Web font files."
But there's just no mention of this in any documentation I can find. What the hell.
It's also helpful to realize that font and u tags have been deprecated in HTML5, while b and i tags have been repurposed since they still retain semantic meaning apart from style: https://www.w3.org/International/questions/qa-b-and-i-tags

I have been using my Apple ID in India and recently i moved to Spain and now i can not see my indian apps.it says my apple ID is valid for only spanish store.how to download apps from Indian store being in Spain.

Accidentally moved all photos out of separate folders into single folder!
