Calendar in yosemite

Im using Yosemite 10.10.1/iMac 21,5 inch,late 2009
Calendar: in the "year" view i see all month and days weeks fine. But the weeks number are wrong. For example, in June 2014, I see beside of each week, the number 2, same as July in August the number 3 in December 4, 3 1 All the weeks number are wrong! Nobody check anything? This start to happened with Yosemite, I regret so much....
Could you please tell me if somebody have the same problem? any may be the solution? Thank you.

    Is it a bug?

Sorry for the huge chunk of code.
Mm, yes, I'm far too lazy to read all that.
But you should be overriding paintComponent(), not paint().

I've not bothered to work out from that pile of magic numbers exactly what you're tring to draw but is it not something that JTable would happily do?

  • How can I get the Maverick's Calendar on Yosemite?

I'm a lawyer and I use the default OS X Calendar app extensively. I have Yosemite on my MacBook Air and dislike the Calendar app because it lost the "list view" that exists on the Day View in Mavericks' Calendar app. I've look at BusyCal and it is decent though not as polished as the OS X one.
For example: at 9 a.m. I might have 10 cases set. On Yosemite, you can not read any of the names or cases - only a few of the letters because the display shrinks it down on the "calendar" and you are unable to see them all at once. On Mavericks, you had this same view BUT on the side window, you had a list of all the events and you could read them perfectly.
I otherwise like Yosemite but the Calendar app is a deal breaker. Does anyone know how I can keep or add the Maverick's version of Calendar or mimic it's functionality to show all my appointments/events in a list?

If you really want to snippy with me, feel free. If you think you are being clever in any way, you really need to stop patting yourself on the back. If you haven't noticed, this thread is mine. Yes, mine. And I'm allowed to express my opinion on my view of characteristics of an app that I believe are accurate. Is this opinion supported by facts? YES, and I listed them. In fact, I have subsequently search other threads and other forums and my position is being shared by others. Facts: Maverick's Calendar allowed multiple day entries/events to be reviewed at once without having to select each entry to find out what is on the calendar. This provides efficiency. Also, it's similar to what people have when they hit the little magnifying glass in iOS' calendar app.  You see, many people actually have events in their life that are important and many times those events all happen in close proximity to each other.
And yes, no one twisted my arm when I became a beta tester for Yosemite. The whole point was to provide valid feedback to my chosen hardware and software supplier. You see, I have been using Macs since OS 6 - yes, 6. My hope is to improve the software to help people. The whole point of beta testing is to see what the current state of the application/OS is and how to better it.
You are also mistaken: ignorance of facts IS a defense. Ignorance of the law is not. Get your cliches right, will you. Go back to trolling.
    Blessings.

  • Calendar in Yosemite does not comply to Sidebar icon size setting?

The icon size and the font size in the sidebar of System apps can be set in
System Prefs => General => Sidebar icon size
The Finder of OS X 10.10 does react to this setting, Mail.app does and in Mavericks also Calendar.app did.
On my MBP running Yosemite, Calendar v8.0 always shows quite large icons and a large font in the sidebar.
Is this a problem of my installation, or is it "normal"?
There are other problems of the Calendar sidebar, for example I am unable to enlarge the sidebar to show longer names of individual calendars.

If you want the calendar entries that you create on the phone to sync with the gmail, you need to create the entry in the gmail calendar on the phone.  If you create it in the phone calendar, it is only on the phone.
Usually at the very top of the new event entry you have a choice of which calendar to create this event in.  Either Phone, gmail or any other option you have synced to your phone.  To get it to sync to the gmail calendar you need to select the gmail calender.

  • Calendar.app won't sync with Google calendar after Yosemite update

I recently clean installed Yosemite on my 11" Macbook Air and my Google calendar will not sync with Calendar.app. Everything else on my Google account syncs with no problem, but the calendar refuses. I tried with another google account and had the same problem. Unlinked and re-linked the account in question, same problem. Turned off 2-factor auth, same problem. Tried with CalDAV, doesn't work.
In Preferences > Internet Accounts > Google Account in Question, the box next to Calendars is unchecked by default. When checking it, I get a progress wheel that spins for a minute or so and then...nothing.
I'm out of troubleshooting steps. Is there something I'm missing here?

I'm having the exact same problem after clean install of Yosemite too.
Update: I followed the suggestion on this thread and it seemed to solve the problem.
really weird... i just temporary connected to my phone's Personal Hotspot instead of regular home wi-fi,
    and it started to sync!

  • How do I see an entire event in Calendar using Yosemite?

With Yosemite, my calendar now truncates the text for each event. I am a teacher and use this for my lesson plans, so I want to see everything I write per event, not just the first line or two. Sometimes it shows all text; sometimes it doesn't. If I move an event to a different day, it will often change how much it reveals. How do I get it to reveal all the text?

    What is the purpose?
For a mini iPhotibrary to use only wit iPhoto on a Mac select the event and use the share ==> burn command
for a general use set of the photos select the event and export (file menu ==> export) to a desktop folder - in the finder right click on that folder and burn to disk

  • Calendar in Yosemite not saving updates

I have been updating calendar events, the event changes (title change) show up on screen and I can see them.  After a short time...the change disappears and the event appears as it did before the change.  What could cause this?  This began after the Yosemite upgrade.

I've followed the steps of signing out of iCloud and deleted the iCloud account from my Macbook Pro and re-added it. I signed out of iCloud on all 4 devices and signed back in. I have an iPhone5S running iOS8.1.2, and iPad Gen 3 running iOS8.1.2, an early 2011 Macbook Pro 13" running Yosemite, and a 2013 iMac running Yosemite - all 4 devices are up-to-date on software patches and applications.
We use Calendar to keep track of what bills are due on what days, and we update the events as we pay them with the exact amounts and confirmation numbers.  So the calendar is built with repeating events, and every time we pay a bill we change the single event only so the future events are left as they were.
Since I've upgraded the MacBook and iMac to Yosemite, the events are not syncing completely.  If I update the text or the date of an event on either computer, the change does not occur on my iPad or iPhone.  I can watch my iPad "refresh", but the data in the event does not update.  If I move the event from one calendar to another, the iPad and iPhone will update the color corresponding to the calendar I moved it to (all of my calendars are in iCloud under one account). When I close Calendar and re-open it, often the events revert back to what they were before I modified them, sometimes (rarely) they do stay as I modified them on the MacBook only.  If I modify an event on my iPad or iPhone, all 4 devices receive the update, even if the event was modified on either computer, the computers will update to what I change it to via the iPad.
So my mobile devices can update the calendar everywhere, but the computers cannot update the calendar on each other nor on the mobile devices.
I backed up the Calendar to my Macbook, deleted all of the calendars under this account, and re-created each event in a new calendar.  All 4 devices have the new calendars and the new events.  But the problem still occurs where if I modify an event on one of the computers, it doesn't seem to update iCloud - so the other three devices don't get the update, then it reverts most of the time when I close and re-open calendar on that computer - yet both mobile devices can update an event and it changes on all 4 devices.
    Any ideas?

  • Problems with Calendar after Yosemite upgrade

I upgraded my macbook pro to Yosemite today, and I also upgraded my phone and ipad to IOS8.   Everything seemed fine afterwards except the Calendar.   My iCloud calendars aren't visible, and when I click the warning sign next to the account name, it says:
The server at cal.me.com is currently unable to handle the connection for account “*********@me.com” due to a temporary overloading or maintenance of the server. If this continues you should contact the server administrator.
You may try to connect to the server again.
I can see the calendars on iCloud on a web browser, so the information is safe.  The account name ends in me.com, but I assume that the MobileMe account just became a normal iCloud account so that shouldn't be a problem.  If I look at deleting the iCloud account from the laptop (in order to reinstate it fresh), it says that this will delete all iCloud content from my computer, which sounds a bit drastic.  So I left the account alone.
Has anyone else had this problem?  Advice much appreciated!

I am a Cisco network support engineer, I have a recommendation, before you  upgrade any device in the future. Always keep in mind to make a backup of your data, in this way if you have to reset the device to factory settings you will not lose that information. Having said that, reset the router to the fabric configuration using the back little button, remember when you do that, you are going to loose your current configuration.
Also here I leave a link for you to download the firmware rescue utility for your router:

  • Printing Calendar in Yosemite

How can I print the day of the week (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, etc.) in Calendar?  I could do it in Mountain Lion.  I can't do it in Yosemite.

It works fine for me ...
This is just the top part of a straightforward "Print" from calendar in week view.  Even month view shows the weekday names at the top.

  • Can't set up calendars in yosemite

Strange problem. I've got a number of iCloud calendars set up, which have been syncing seamlessly amongst my devices. Since upgrading my main iMac to Yosemite, I can't access iCloud calendars. In iCloud preferences, I check the calendars box. The wheel spins and calendars is "setting up", but then the wheel stops spinning and the check box unchecks itself. My calendar is empty on that Mac. If I try to access the account via the preferences within Calendars, it states that it can't activate the iCloud account....the account that is providing the calendars to all my other devices. As noted, I've got the calendars on my phone and iPads, so the data is out there....somewhere. e-mail is working, photos are syncing....everything else in my iCloud account seems to be fine. I just can't access Calendars on one Mac.
I've signed in and out of the iCloud account. I've trashed the calendar libraries. No go. Any thoughts?

  • Error connecting calendar server Yosemite (version 4)

    Good afternoon.
When setting up an account CalDaV, configured server to Yosemite (version 4), reports the error "Server for secure data transmission is not available."
    What could be the problem?

    Bonjour,
This problem seems to be related to your Kernel parameter.
At this point I would suggest to contact Oracle Support and open a TAR with the calendar group.
    Thank you,

  • Can't seem to merge Reminders with Calendar in Yosemite

    Merging Calendar & Reminders?
Is a thread I started.  I thought it might solve the problem.  It did create an ICS file, but Calendar doesn't understand it!
    Any clues how to proceed?

Bump!  Any ideas?   Nothing gets imported at all.

  • How do I quickly select a series of events in Yosemite's Calendar App?

I know users can still hold down the shift key and select multiple events (One at a time). However, the last version of Calendar allowed users to select a series of events (such as 20) all at once by clicking on the first and last event while holding down shift in the list section of the day view. The update to Apple Calendar in Yosemite seems to have removed the list view of calendar events. In the past update, all selected events could then be moved at once by holding down the control and option keys while using the arrow keys.
Is this feature no longer available or is there another method?

Update: There is one workaround I found. Click here to view my video demonstrating how this is done.
Explanation: If there are a series of events to select all at once, this can be done as long as they are within a 42 day range and are grouped under one calendar or a series of calendars. All you have to do is go to the month view, make sure the calendars are visible and type ⌘+A. However, any calendars users do not wish to select must be temporarily hidden.

  • Unwanted Double Keystrokes in Calendar (Yosemite)

Hi everyone. I've searched all over, and can't seem to find this problem mentioned in another thread.
I am using Calendar on Yosemite and frequently experience a weird glitch. While editing an entry, keystrokes will begin to double. For example if I type 'b', it will enter 'bb'. This applies to special characters, numbers, and spaces as well. It's incredibly frustrating
After some trial and error, I have been able to somewhat consistently replicate the issue and found it often happens after using the '/' character multiple times in a post. I often reference other dates in the format 12/15/14, for example. I'm not 100% certain that this is the trigger, but it's my closest guess at this point.
The problem persists after quitting then relaunching calendar, however disappears after a system reboot.
I did a clean restore of the OS recently and still have the same problem. My software is all up-to-date.
For reference, I use a google account and only have that calendar open. I didn't have this issue in Mavericks or previous versions of OS X so I think it's a new glitch. I'm using a 2012 Retina MacBook Pro with OS X version 10.10.1
Any ideas on how to resolve this frustrating issue? Has anyone else experienced this?
    Thanks!
