Calendar not making it across the Bridge

My Playbook is picking up messages and contacts from my BB phone using the bridge but it is not picking up the calendar. The message I receive is "There are no active calendar services on your device" with a link to "More Information". The link takes me to a blank page with "Not Found" in the top left hand corner.
When I first set up the bridge, the calendar worked fine. It stopped working for no apparent reason. I have tried removing and resetting the bridge but it did not fix the issue.

I would imagine there will be a new BlackBerry Bridge app out soon to support the new OS update.
That will probably fix your problem.
If you're desperate. Try uninstalling BlackBerry Bridge from your phone, and deleting the Bluetooth connection from the PlayBook.
Restart both devices, reinstall BlackBerry Bridge and then reconnect.

NullPointerException from across the bridge

I have a pretty complicated setup. I am using the api exposed by webobjects(Application server from Apple) iin my javabean which communicates with the server to get some data.
after packaging all the required classes in the bean i tried to use it first as a bean itself and invoked the Interface through another class using the following code.

This works fine.
Now when i try and use it across the bridge with the following code

The code stops responding for about 30-40 seconds which makes me assume that the connection to the server was successful as there is a lot of processing done once the data is received form the server. But after all this the application throws a java.lang.NullPointerException
I am at a loss as to what i might be doing wrong here. I have implemented the serializable interface in the TCBeanInstatiator class.

if it is any help... the messagebox for initializing comes up and then the app dies.

this method should not bomb as far as i can see, and moreover it works when it is called from the java code.

"not responding" message across the top of mozilla several times a day and my entire computer lags when I receive that message.

about two to three weeks ago mozilla started to lag on occasion with the "not responding" message across the top of the browser. it would freeze while i was playing facebook games or while i was watching youtube videos or just trying to scroll down a page, so i used my laptop less and less hoping the rest period would help stop it from lagging and from not responding. now that i have uninstalled useless programs and freed up hard drive space it is still lagging a lot. i even updated to 9.01 and updated the plug-ins that i use and it still lags.

Have you recently upgraded is so i suggest you run it in safe mode first.

Font style changes not making it to the css

“I made changes to the text color on my welcome page, and for some reason the style is not making it to the css for that page. I pushed the publish, but the style is not in the css file. I don’t want to have to add it in manually- help!”

I am having the exact same problem - text that I make bold shows up on the live site as actually lighter in color than the normal text. But it ONLY happens on the Welcome page, which I notice is what your message is about...

When you plug in your charger and attach it to the MBP, initially the light will turn green. If the MBP needs charging, a few seconds later the light will turn amber. That is normal. If your symptoms are different, then they may or may not be a problem.

Calendar not showing way in the future events?

Hi,
Is anyone else having a problem where the iPhone Calendar search isn't returning stuff way in the future, like after a year. I have a wedding to go to on December 30th 2010 but it doesn't find it when I do a search, both in the calendar and in spotlight. Things more recent show up, but not that far in advance. Anyone know why and how to solve this?

Found this yesterday:
Calendar search
Spotlight searches calendar events in a two-year window. It will reveal results from one year in the past and one year in the future. If an event has recurrences that fall in this range, it will find the event that is closest to the current date.
It seems that it treats 2 appointments in the future with the same name as recurring. This is a bug in my opinion. Also, 1 year in the future is not enough. The day view works best for me & for an accurate search, I will use the list view.

Why does the calendar not show dots since the IOS 6 upgrade

Since I upgraded to IOS 6 the dots don't appear on the calendar when looking at the monthly view. Is there a setting for this that needs changing?

ITunes adds duplicate songs when importing but not making copies in the iTunes Media folder?

This is an irregular problem and does not happen at every new import, but every now & again iTunes is creating duplicate files entries for the same song when I import my music folder.
Now I know many people post a similar problem, but before we start can I state that both the 'Keep iTunes Media folder organized AND "Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library are turned off, and always have been.
Right clicking on duplicates of a particular song proves that iTunes is not copying the file into it's own media folder and adding that to the library.
All listed entries for a particular song iTunes direct you to the same file in the same location in the finder.
I am currently just having to delete the duplicates everytime it makes them, although this is VERY time consuming!
Any ideas on what is causing it or what will fix the problem would be great!

Nevermind...I figured out my issue. The problem is that I'm an idiot.
When dragging my folders in, they not only had MP3 files, but a M3U file as well. iTunes was importing the M3U playlist, then the MP3s...that's how I was getting my dups.

Need help getting some music 'across the bridge'

So I've been clicking and dragging music
from my external hard drive into my iTunes
and so far alot of the records have made
the leap...
however, there are a handful that WILL NOT
make the move. I'll select them and then drag
'em over but they don't add to my iTunes.
What's the deal?

Messages not making it to the jms queue...

We are having an interesting problem. AFter a fresh restart of our instnace, it will process a message fine. but, if we wait a few minutes, try another post, the message doesn't get put ot the queue, and it basically hangs the instance.
          I am not sure how to trouble shoot this since there are no errors sent to the logs. the console will show a stuckthread message eventually.
          I was wondering if anyone could help with what are some potential causes, and if there is anyway to get additional information out of the server. I have turned on the debug and set the level to info, but no additional information is getting generated.
          We've done print outs in the code right up to where the failure occurs.
          I"ve posted the code snippet that is being used. It failes when it gets to the code after GQ 5.

The "stuck thread" message is likely a good clue. Force a server thread dump when this occurs. Feel free to post the thread dump here.
          Side note: Make sure the "GenericQueue" method doesn't attempt to multi-thread access to any JMS session, consumer, or producer.

Not able to access the portal on the network - (RedHat Enterprise Linux 5).

Friends,
I have installed the portal(7.1) on a linux(RHEL 5) box.I am able to access the portal locally and everything looks fine.
However when I try accessing the portal on the network...I get "page cannot be displayed" as if the server is not listning on 8080.
when I do "GET http://rexportal.davita.corp:8080" I get ........
500 Can't connect to rexportal.davita.corp:8080 (connect: No route to host)
what does this mean?
other info:
1) I have disbaled the firewall by setting SELinux to disabled.
2)I am able to traceroute to the m/c
3) can ftp and SSH
4) When I do "GET http://rexportal.davita.corp" I see a apache server page.It means apache server is accessible at port 80 on the network.
Can you plz help me resolve this issue.what can prevent my server not being accesible across the network

I was able to resolve this.! basically It was a firewall issue.
To help othere here is what I found.
I had disabled the SELinux utility which should have basically disabled the firewall service but It didnt stop it.
You can check If the firewall is running with following command on redhat linux.
service iptables status
If it is enabled ,you can either stop it by
/etc/init.d/iptables stop (not recommended -- for security)
or
you can add a entry for the port you want to enable by modifying the file
/etc/sysconfig/iptables

Not at all! Bridge is just a file browser, it doesn't open, edit or in any way manipulate images or files of any kind.
All Bridge does is hand over the files to the appropriate application, whether that be Photoshop, Adobe Camera Raw, Illustrator, InDesign, MS Word or whatever.
Camera Raw is a Photoshop plug-in which can be hosted either by Photoshop or by Bridge.
