Call ALV gid inside Method using class

Hi all,
I have created one method in my ZClass, in that i need to write code for display a pop-up(ALV) that should contain the internal table records. Also if i double click a cell in that popup then a transaction(say ztest) should be called..
How to do this inside the method?

Hi,
You can call screen in you class and assign the custum container to the screen, using cl_gui_alv_grid class assing created object to container and create fields catlog and internal table with data to display in alv. call the method set_table_for_first_display to display data.
You can also used the method get_selected_rows to read current selected line data can use call transaction.
For more details you can used the pakage slis there are may program are avaible to resolve your problem.

How to count number of lines inside methods() using the Doclet API

Wrote a custom doclet using the [Doclet API|http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/tooldocs/javadoc/doclet/index.html ] .
The purpose for the doclet is to load Java source files and create stubs (which are identical Java source files but do not contain any method implementation details).
Instead, the method implementation details need to be replaced with blank lines...

As one can see, I am just creating the method and placing the opening and closing curly braces (along with a new \n line escape sequence, in between).
Am not really that familiar with the Doclet API...
Question(s):
(1) What is the best way to figure out how many lines of code are inside each method and then use a for loop to insert the exact same number of blank lines inside the methods?
(2) Is there a way to do it using the com.sun.javadoc.SourcePosition.line() method?
Would really appreciate it if someone could help me because this is an important requirement (hence the 10 Duke Stars).

This is not possible using the Doclet API, because JavaDoc does not store any information regarding implementation detail. Although MethodDoc#position will give you the line where the method is declared, there is no way to determine where the method body starts and ends.
If you need that much information, maybe you would be better of using a tool such as Eclipse's Abstract Syntax Tree parser. AST will provide you with line numbers for each code expression, hence it is relatively easy to compute the first and last line in a method body.

Calling function from inside function using powershell

In my powershell script, I am using following code, first time it will go in another function and returns back original function, but in next time in loop, it open popup "Process [0]" and asking for input. I want my second function runs for each

First thing It seems you there is typo in method name. Anyway better should use like this. It is more easy and straight forward. Hope this helps you

Redefinition / Overwriting of inherited method using class-builder

I have a class which inherits some methods from it's baseclass. I want so overwrite ( re-define ) some of the methods from the baseclass using se80 / se24.
How can this be done ?

<b>go se80</b> 1) enter the class name which u have inherited from the base class
2) in the herarchy ...methods---->Inherited Methods
3) right click on the method which u have to redifine.
4) select redifine option.
5) ur method will be placed under redifination list.
6) go write the code
note :- U cannot redifine final Method...Appropriate message will be shown
save and activate.

Problem calling applet method using IE

I've searched through the forum and can't seem to find anything that can help me fix this. I'm trying to call an applet's method using Javascript. This is working fine under Netscape, but not IE. Everything I've read seems to indicate that I'm doing this right, but I'm getting "Object doesn't support this property or method" when I try to call the applet method from IE.
In this example method, I'm trying to call the applet's countChars method, which should return the length of the string you pass into it. Works under Netscape 6.2, but not IE 6.0

I have very similar problem, my applet works OK using Netscape (6.2 and 7.0), but with IE 6.0 It only works with windows XP;
The reported error is "Object doesn't support this property or method"

Calling container using classes

hi friends,
i have a requirement .i need to record a transaction QM02 and once i enter the notification number in initial screen,in next screen i have to select from
menu SYSTEM->SERVICES FOR OBJECT and it will call a pop up box. but the problem is when we go through recording that option(services for object)in system menu is disabled in recording .so i have to call the same box(container) using classes.
do any one know how to call this or solve this issue .
is there any other approach by which we can do this

If the required menu item is disabled when you r recording
just choose the transaction QM02 directly and go with debugging mode to capture the corresponding OKCODE .
Here I found the OKCODE For getting the pop up box is 'INIT'.

How to make a field manadatory within ALV Grid using methods and classes

Hi,
I am using ALV Grid using set_table_for_first_display
inside my dialog programming. I have a field called project number inside my grid which has to be made as mandatory field.
I have defined a method called catch_data_changed inside my class lcl_event_receiver. This method captures the changes made to one of the fields inside my ALV grid and displays all the default values of the other fields from the grid.
Now, i have to make project number which is one of my fields inside my ALV grid as mandatory. At the field catalog level i did not find any such option for making a field as required field.
Is there any other way, i can accomplish this within the ALV grid?

from my understanding from ur question, i understood that u want the editable field inside alvgrid to be mandatory.

Calling ALV grid in class method

Is it possible to call a ALV grid display in a class~method.
I thought, I would call a screen and make a ALV grid display using the control frame work,it is no possible to call screen inside a method.
Then i tried to avoid calling the screen..

ALV Tree list output using the Class and method

Hi,
How to get the internal table values of ALV Tree List in classes.
My requirement is i need to store the output values in Ztable of a SAP Transaction of CK86_99.
for this, i copied the SAP Standard Transaction into Z tcode and i am trying to poplulate the output display into Ztable. But this standard tcode CK86_99 is using the classes of ALV tree list to display output.
CL_STRUCTURE_EXPLOSION_TREE -- Class
CONSTRUCTOR - method
Finally in the above mentioned method, i am able to see the output values of ALV tree list in the internal table of mt_output_table.
But these are SAP Standard Class and method.
My doubt is, How to get these internal table values in my Zprogram.
is there any user exit or badi can we use in the method of class???? Actually my system is 4.6C
Please suggest me on this problem.

First your getInstance() method returns 'singleton' which you havent declared/init anywhere.
your getAll() method needs to be static if you need to call it the way you are doing.
In your getAll() method u are passing a parameter called patientRecord ... where have you declared/init it.
i think you have to do something like this ... if i have understood you correctly.

Click patterns.
Then choose Abap objects patterns.
Click on the Tick
It will give a new screen
Here Give the name of the class first.
Then the object (instance of the calss)
And finally the method ..
it will give you the pattern

"Method "process event" is unknown or Protected or PRIVATE ".
But we are just copied the source code in the "Process Event" method to the Overwrite method.
Can anyone provide me the clarification , why system behaving like this.

I think you can not.
Because, only public attributes can be inherited and they will remain public in the subclass.
