Call Blocking on Anonymous Calls

What prefix code can I use to allow me to call a number that is blocking anonymous calls.  I am ex-directory.  This is one for Devon-David I think.
Solved!

Hi and welcome.
Not sure I fully understand the question.
If you want to call a number and you dont want them to see your number you would use the prefix 141.
If your own number is currently witheld and by you calling someone you want them to see your number the prefix is 1470.
Hope that helps, if not perhaps just run me through the scenario of what you want to acheive.

  • Block incoming anonymous calls

    Hi,
I'm trying to block incoming blocked/unknown/anonymous callers over a sip trunk? I've creaed a translation rule and applied it:
    voice translation-rule 5000
    rule 1 reject /^$/
    voice translation-profile CallBlock5000
    translate calling 5000
    dial-peer voice xxxx voip
    call-block translation-profile incoming CallBlock5000
    call-block disconnect-cause incoming invalid-number
To try it out, I'm dialing (from a normal/off network cell and landline) *67 and then the number. This does not work; only if I match the exact number I'm calling from, then it does get blocked.
When I show sip calls during the *67 call I see the calling number is blank.
       Calling Number         :
When I show sip calls during the regular call, I see the proper Calling Number.
As I understand it, with Call Manager and phones running SCCP, I cannot enable/use anonymous call blocking; so I do have to enforce the call blocking policy at this gateway device (UC520).
I'm very new to Cisco voice, so sorry I'f I'm missing something obvious. Thanks in advance!

Thanks, I tried the rule--still private gets through.

  • Initialisation Block as anonymous package

    Hi all,
Does anyone have any experience in creating an initialisation block that executes a PL/SQL block and returns a cursor of data rather than a SQL command.
So, something like a "declare......end;" rathern than "select col from table where....;"?
I've looked through the documentation and searched on Google and can only find info on normal & row-wise initialisations which I already use.
    Thanks in advance

  • Unknown /Private /Anonymous call blocking for specific extensions - CUCM 7.5.3

    Hello ,
Can anyone explain is there anyways to block only anonymous/Private/Unknown calls to specific DN's in CUCM 7.5.3?
    Regards,
    Ram

    Thanks for your revert....
Sorry ,Yes you are right we are using CUCM  7.1.3.32900-4 and we are not using H.323 gateway.
In that case ,I will look for system to be upgraded to 8.0 or later version to make it work as stated by brianmeade
    Thanks,

  • How do I block anonynous calls

I received a call this morning at 4:38 am that had the caller id info blocked.  How do I block these anonymous calls?  If I only get the reply "sign up for family base" (additional overpriced monthly fee), I will just start shopping around for another carrier when my contract expires September 28th.

Look into You Mail or Google Voicemail services - they are free third party options and do offer options for dealing with anonymous or ":unavailable" incoming numbers.

  • Unwanted calla

I have stopped answering my phone because of great amount of unwanted calls from sales, etc.   I s there a way to get rid of these?   Thank goodness for email.

Hi. You may want to do a combination of call block and anonymous call rejection. And even call intercept if its available in your area.
Here are some of the features you can use. Just sign in at www.myverizon.com and look at your account you can add features there or call verizon and ask to add these. 800-VERIZON

  • Unrelenting Telemarketer

OMG! What can I do to stop this company from calling me?
My call ID says it ESTA **bleep** 202 495 7142
If you Google this company all you find is people complaining they can not  get them to stop calling.
They have been calling me for 45 days now. One time I did get to the phone in time to speak with a live person only for them to transfer me back to the automated loop. I asked the live person to please take me off their calling list.
If I call this number an automated system says to press 1 to have your number removed in 72hr. That was 4 weeks ago.
I have not used this number on anything paperwork wise. Did Verizon sell my number? Did this company use a war dialer?
From my brief research on this matter regarding the war dialer, It seems as if you can complain to the FCC via their website.(which apparently a lot of people already have complained about this company). So why am I still getting calls? Don't say you need to be on the don't call list, because this company doesn't care. I guess my question is how can Verizon protect its customer from this kind of attack? Can I use a * command to block the number? If you say I have to pay for an additional service then how is Verizon protecting me?
    Thank you,
    CKS

There may not be an answer within the FCC/Verizon system.  If the call is from a legitimate charity, it will be exempt from the Do Not Call list.  If a number shows up, then it's not an anonymous call, and so the available call blocking features from Verizon won't work.  Even so, I've found that a number of calls that should be blocked by Anonymous Call Block still get through.
There are, however, a number of devices that allow you to set up blacklists from your telephone.  Some are designed to be added to an existing phone system, while others are incorporated into the phone itself.  Getting detailed information about these systems seems to be a trifle difficult, since the web sites that sell telephones seem to assume you already know all about the feature, and a visit to Radio Shack proved that at least some of their employees don't know about it.  From what I understand from reading the user reviews on Amazon, the unwanted number can be copied from Caller ID and entered into the Blacklist database, which holds up to 30 numbers.  A call from a blocked number will ring once, but then the caller will get a busy signal.
Obviously nothing will work perfectly.  If some telemarketers can bypass Anonymous Call Rejection, then their numbers won't be available to enter into the Blacklist, but the combination of a restrictive telephone and Anonymous Call Rejection seems to be as good as you can get right now.
FWIW, Amazon has some very reasonably priced telephone systems that got good reviews from users.

  • Errors switch from 7 & 8 No Success Video/Audio Chat to another iMac (AIM)

Have tried several Router Changes on my Linksys WRT54GS to correct even putting my iMac out on DMZ and still no luck video chatting with my daughter's Imac both of us using AIM accounts. The errors depending on who initiates the video session is either Error 7 or Error 8. I will include only the top portion of a recent error. I've just moved to Colorado taking my router and the configuration that worked on occasion previously. I have read about every post and tried opening up ports as suggested.
Please advise I am connected via LAN cable and can switch to wireless or even buy a new router if that will help. We partially purchased our iMac's in order to use this feature and seems to be a big failure... How about Apple fixing iChat? When is a new version coming available?

    Hi,
Can you remind me if the GS is the MIMO device ?
Also as a Start Login in to the Device and stop/delete/disable and Port Forwarding or Port Triggering (Applications and Games).
Set UPnP to be enabled in Administration.
In Security stop the Block to Anonymous (internet) Pings
    Also turn the firewall Off.
Error 7 is most often caused by DOS or SPI features in modems and routers.
Sometimes they are separate settings sometime part of the Firewall.
It normally refers to your end and can be seen on incoming invites
Error 8 is normally something to do with either Ports or the way the LAN is laid out.
Can be caused by either end.
It sounds as if you only have the one device so the chances of two devices bot doing DHCP and giving your MAc two Ips that way seems excluded.
However make sure you are not connected both by Wireless and Ethernet as that can also give you two IPs
(iChat needs to "know" where it is in relation to the Internet.)
UPnP should take care of the ports. (And not have as many open as DMZ)
This quote is from an iChat 3 log and may look slightly different

In iChat 4 the "To" and "From" line s should list the Ports being used.
It is important that they both list port 16402 (iChat 4 also tends not to tell you your Own IP as this does)
Old logs are stored in your Home Folder/Library/Logs/iChatConnectionErrors by date and time order.
Can you or your daughter contact any of the Test Accounts listed in table 1

These are auto Responding Video replying accounts.
They do not use NAT at their end and are not a complete test but will give pointers.
It is fair to say that the plain AIM names spend less time On Line now and the @mac one may be better.

Is there anybody, who can help me with this problem.

  • E-mail sent from my server continuously deferred

    Hello there,
My name is Michael Reilly, and I work for Chucklefish games.  We host a webserver at http://playstarbound.com/ and forum at http://community.playstarbound.com/
For several months now, I have had issues with sending e-mail from my server.  I will need to admit to having been rather confused about how to properly set up SPF, DK, and DKIM DNS records, and getting my mail server to properly sign them.  However, now you can dig my domain and verify that I have it all sorted out.  My selector for DK is mail and my selector for DKIM is dkim.
Now that I've gotten all of that sorted out, I am attempting to get verizon's webservers to like me.  I followed the whitelist link in the log and I filled out the form.  I received this automated response:
    > After investigation, Verizon Online Security has determined that e-mail from your IP address will not be allowed access to the Verizon Online e-mail domain due to one or more of the following reasons:
    > Your IP has been blocked because of spam issues or because your ISP indicates that it is dynamically assigned
    >  No Reverse Hostname associated with your IP address.
My IP is statically assigned, and I have an rDNS entry (starbound.dedi.creeperhost.net), which also appears in my SPF record.  So I assume the reason I'm being blocked is that I have "spam issues."
I will admit to running a very high traffic forums.  And depending on traffic we send between 200-1000 e-mails to @verizon.net addresses a day, depending on a number of factors.  I've attached an example with full headers to the bottom of this post.  These are primarily notification e-mails generated by our forum.  They send e-mails to certain users when threads that they have manually marked as watched and have requested e-mail updates on, are replied to.
However, we do not spam.  And we require double opt-in for any mailing from our website.
This is a link to our privacy policy: http://playstarbound.com/privacy-policy/
I have attempted to contact phone support, but as I do not personally have any verizon services, the customer service representative was unable to assist me.
Are there any other steps I can take to get my domain off of Verizon's blacklist?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

  • Can not create more than one model on one table

My table and tablespace, and semnetwork have been created successfully, with following SQL:
    CREATE TABLESPACE MYONTOLOGY_TBS
    DATAFILE 'C:\Oracle\oradata\odb1\myontology_tbs.dat' SIZE 1024M REUSE

    EXECUTE sem_apis.create_sem_model('amodel', 'MYASSERTIONS', 'ASSERTION');
    EXECUTE sem_apis.create_sem_model('bmodel', 'MYASSERTIONS', 'ASSERTION');
    The result was:

It seems that more than one model can not coexist on one single table, is that right? And is it means that, if I wanna manage a large number of models, I must create and manage the same large number of table? On my case, I have hundreds of models to handle and thousands of predicates in each on average, I don't think managing hundreds of tables is a good approach, is there another way?

Oracle may think manage metadata of their database is a simple and interesting task, but I don't think so. I believe that manage database metadata should only be oracle's duty, I would never involve even one single line of DDL in my software. So if I can not store multiple model in a single table, or at least a certain number of tables, I have to discard oracle's solution, and build one of myself.

    Hi, Denny
    Thank you for your answer.
    The current versions:
Oracle Database 12c Enterprise Edition Release 12.1.0.2.0 - 64bit Production
    PL/SQL Release 12.1.0.2.0 - Production
    "CORE 12.1.0.2.0 Production"
TNS for 64-bit Windows: Version 12.1.0.2.0 - Production
    NLSRTL Version 12.1.0.2.0 - Production
The Logs contain the same text.
I was trying to use oracle 11g. There was the same error except that the test examples wasn't work properly. There was error "ORA-40206: invalid setting value for setting name SVMS_CONV_TOLERANCE" for regression model.
I think the reason in that I use windows 8 with the Russian language. In english linux with oracle 12c it works properly.
    Regard,
    Irina

  • Procedure for logging in PL/SQL

I am looking for a way to log sqlplus output from within a pl/sql procedure. When run through SQL*PLUS directly I can use SPOOL. Is there any way to do the same from within PL/SQL? Following is an example of what I was previously executing as a .sql script via command line SQLPLUS logon/password @instance @sqlscript.sql. Now I want to create a stored procedure to do the same...

Just keep in mind that SQL*Plus scripts invariably contains DDLs and SQL*Plus commands and that these cannot be simply wrapped into an Oracle DBMS_JOB.
You will need to loose all the SQL*Plus specific stuff and use dynamic SQL for all the DDLs.
In which case it is more sensible to rather wrap a script into a formal Oracle stored procedure or package instead, than it is to pass a huge block of anonymous PL/SQL code to execute to the DBMS_JOB handler.
If there are a series of jobs with dependancies, it can be done a couple of ways. Oracle 10G's DBMS_SCHEDULER is one option.
Another is to only use a single Oracle DBMS_JOB to run all the steps, and using exception handling to control/abort processing steps.
You also may not want Oracle to auto restart a job that raised an exception - and instead want to handle that manually or programatically in some other fashion.
As Justin mentioned, Oracle will auto restart a job that raises an exception. It will do so 16 times after which it will mark that continuously failing job as broken.
But then if a job fails, it will likely fail again and one may not want to keep on running that job into the same brick wall over and over again.
The bottom line in my view is to forget the how-it-was-done using the previous job scheduling system and re-look/redesign it for running using Oracle's job management systems. A simple "port" from one system to another will cause more new problems that solving existing ones IMO.

  • IChat screen sharing wireless, need help

I have a workbook pro, my son has a workbook. when at my house Ichat works great. we are able to I-chat all features. however... not much point if we are in the same room.
When he goes home we are no longer able to screen share. and we can not screen share when we are both at his house. I need this feature to work (or one like it) I teach him math and we are planning on using the bamboo pad to write equations we can both see (he has a pad too.)
I am sure that the problem is differing setups with our wireless routers. he is using a motorola wirless router, I am using a linksys. (the motorola was originally mine, then I went heterogenous since I was also using a linksys print server and a linksys range expander (no longer in use)
    where do I start looking?

    Hi,
    Welcome to the    Discussions
In the set up pages of the Linksys go to the Administration page.
Enable UPnP (Disable any Port Forwarding, Port Triggering or DMZ in Games and Applications)
In Security make sure the Block to Anonymous Pings is Off and also that the Firewall is Off.
If the Motorola routes then get him to do the same at his end.
iChat 4 uses 20 ports. One of these is Random - the one that handles the Screen Sharing part.
Port Forwarding and port Triggering cannot handle this random port and DMZ is too insecure.
