Call Bundling for custom bapi for mass data processing

Hi all,

can i create a custom bapi where i can compress created update tasks. Not single inserts but a single sql insert with many records.
Are there some SAP FM in order to do it? Documentation says, i must do "Operations in buffer" and "Update buffer data".

Creation of custom BAPI for FB02

Hi Guys,
I want to create custom BAPI to update FB02 and for my requirement i found there is no standard BAPI available since i need to update lot of other fields in FB02 that is the reason, i want to use CALL TRANSACTION inside the BAPI to update FB02 but i found its not working.
Is it really possible to use BDC( Call Transaction ) inside the BAPI??? if it is possible any reason why its not working for me and if it dont work, how do u think i should update FB02 - plss dont mention standard BAPI's or FM.
Note: I have seen some Standard BAPI's using CALL Transaction inside them but in my case its not working.

Your question is to create custom BAPI
Follow these steps.
1. Find the fields you are giving values on the screen and create a structure. you should only use structure and must not use that structure in other ways.If you use it in other objects BAPI will be frozen.
2.After you create Structure you create function module and mention that structure in that.Later release the function module
3.Later you go to SWO1 and add that method in that and realese that also
4.Finally you can find your BAPI in BOR

Standard or Customizing Bapi for T-code F-44

Hi
I need to clear vendor open invoices using BAPI's for T-code F-44 .I've got through various FM like bapi_acc_document_post and bapi_ar_acc_getbalanceditems but could'nt find solution because this FM's are for customer clearing the open items from table BSAD(cleared accounts of customer).Have any boby worked on this tcode to clear vendor accounts using bapi's or do we have any standard FM to use the scenario same as FM mentioned above for table BSAK(vendor clear items).
Its really simple working with bdc's to transfer data from flat file to the above transaction.But as known every vendor has huge sets of items and this could be a huge performance issue....so to avoid this in future we need to work on this using exclusively BAPI's......Any suggestions or sample codes wud surely be appreciated....

Customizing tables not asking for Customizing Request while saving data

Hi,
I have some customizing tables in my development server (Delivery Class = 'C').
These always used to ask for a Customizing Request whenever data was saved in them.
Suddenly, I have noticed they are no more asking for any Customizing Request. I cross-checked in the Transport Organizer and confirmed that there are no customizing requests of mine which may be already holding any data entries of these tables.
I wonder why this may be happening (believe it to be some basis configuration issue. also asked my basis guy but he has no clue).

My problem is now solved. Let me summarize the problem and the solution now.
-> The customization tables suddenly stopped asking for a request while saving data.
Somehow the settings had been reset, and as Gautham pointed out, it was corrected in the tcode SCC4
-> Most of the tables now worked fine, but still few of them didnt ask for requests
Here, I found out that the developers had chosen "no, or user, recording routine" instead of "standard recording routine". For such tables, when i check in the tcode SE54, menu path Environment -> Maintenance Objects -> Change, I find the Transport category 'No Transport'. Regenerating the maintenance generator choosing "standard recording routine" fixes this and the tables now ask for a customizing request.

Problem in creating include program for customer exit for BC425_01

Hi,
I want to write a customer exit for transaction BC425_01. For identifying the include program for exit , i go to System->Status.There I double click on the program name(GUI).Then I perform a 'FIND' in main program for 'customer-function' keyword. I get 3 search results with "CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION '001' " , "CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION '002' " , "CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION '003' ".
Now i double click on CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION '001' and i am taken to the code of program where this function is called in MODULE cust_check INPUT. I double click on CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION '001' and then I am taken to the function module code which contains a single statement 'INCLUDE ZXBC425G01U01 .' .
Now I double click on this include program so that I can write my own code. But when i double click on it , a message displayed 'Program names ZX.. are reserved for includes of exit function groups'. Hence I am not able to creates this include program and write my coding.

Then you click enter button.It is asking to create object with that include name ZXBC425G01U01 in a pop-up.You should select YES option.It will ask package . Give the package name and save.Then include program is created and allowed you to write your own code.

I searched for business package for Service Technician (Field Service Engineer), but I was able to find only a Business Package for Maintenance Technician. Email for Customer Service for B210A Printer

I have tried to enter my serial # and product # to no avail to get an email address for customer sevice. Can someone just give me an email address for this printer that I purchased on Sunday?

Actually i have developed a y-report in which i give project def. as input. Now when i execute the report,
in the report i read the wbs element of thar project def. whose settlement i need to do. The problem is that if any error comes during the settlement, i need to capture these errors and restrict the report from futher processing.
When we manually execute through CJ88 transaction, we give the wbs element and if any errors, we can see them in the display. Now i am not able to cpture these errors. So was asking for a BAPI or FM which can serve the purpose.

Search help for custome field with different data type

Hi Friends,
I have Created a custom table in which i have created a field is
ZMATLONG which stores material number.
Now the data element is zdmat which is of char 40..
Now i want to give search help for this field ZMATLONG..
I have tried many ways giving search help to this field
a) i Tried to attach the standard search help of MATNR ie : MAT1 but its showing me data type inconsistancy
b) i created a zsearch help and in the selection method i have used database table mara , again here iam getting the same error data type inconsistancy...
Now how can i give the search help like matnr field to my custom field ZMATLONG...
How can i do it..?

Hi,
MATNR ahs length 18 and ZMATLONG has length 40.So due to this u cannot use MAT1 search help.
best way would be cope MAT1 into Z search help. Then in the search help parameter change the data element of field
MATNR as ZMATLONG.
Now if you assign Z search help to ZMATLONG it will work.
I tried this its working fine.

Delta enabling for Custom fields after Master Data Enhancement

Dear Friends,
Two new custom fields were added to MARA table in ECC. I enhanced the extractor 0MATERIAL_ATTR by adding an append structure and added these new fields. For enabling DELTA, I did the following:
1. In table ROOSGEN lookup the 'Message Type' for extractor 0MATERIAL_ATTR. Found 'RS0152' as message type.
2. Used transaction BD52 to create and entry in table 'TBD62' for Message Type - 'RS0152', Change object- 'MATERIAL' and fields - ZFIELD1 and ZFIELD2.
3. Did a SCC1 in the test system for the transport carrying the above changes and did a re-init in BW. Then did a DELTA.
I am seeing 0 records for DELTA eventhough I made some changes to the ZFIELDS in ECC.
Please share your thoughts and suggestions if I am missing anything.

Check the following
1) If you transport the changes, the message type name changes across the system
2) The Data Element of the Z fields, check whether you have set the 'Change Documents' option in the 'DEFINITION' tab(Below th Parameter ID).

How to get data for custom feilds for standard datasource

i have extracted CRM standard datasource 0CRM_OPPT_I.
In RSA6 i slected feilds which i want to trnasfer to B Iand i also added some custom feilds.
and then i went to RSA5 and i activated datasource.then i went to RSA3and i extracted.
In rSA3 selection screen all the custom feilds are selcted.
after extraction if i go to LIST,only some of the custom feilds data is displaying remaining feilds displayed as blank data
please tel me how to get data

Once you have done the proper mapping by using the transaction BWA1
you need to write the BADI code which can be accesible from the following path:
Go to transaction SPRO
SAP Implementation guide ->Integration with other mySAP components ->Data transfer to the Business Information Warehouse->
Settings for the application specific datasources (CRM) ->
Settings for BW adapter->Execute Badi :BW adapter :Enhancement of datasources in messaging flow.
Select you the datasource enhancement implementation it will open the BADI Implementation..
go To interface tab and double click on the method..it takes you to the ABAP screen where you need to write the logic to populate the custom fields..

Function module for custom report for cost center group

Hello all,
I wonder, if there is any SAP function module for following query:
We have got a custom program, which evaluates cost centers. We would like to evaluate a cost center group, like it is available within the report painter - the output screen is splitted into two parts, on the left part there is the cost centre group hierarchy and on the right side, there are the values for the node, which is selected within the hierarchy.
Is there any standard function module od do we have to program it ourself?

Hi,
it_wbs_prps1 .
If you are going to use this internal table to check for a null condition, shouldn't you first assign the data package to it?
For example,   it_wbs_prps1 = i_t_data[].
Because you are now using it_wbs_prps1 to select data from a table and it doesn't have any data.
Please check.
