Call Plugin-Function with parameters via JavaScript

Hi!
I have following problem: I wrote a plugin for Illustrator CS2 in C++ and now I would like to call a function of the plugin from outside of illustrator (from a JavaScript).
This can be done with the Actionsuite. But how could I then give some parameters to my function?
For example:
In the plugin, I have a function "void myFun(char * test)" and I want to call this function in JavaScript with test="Hello World" for example.
The only possible way right now seems to write parameters into a file and open that file in the plugin to "receive" them.

i am trying to call ScriptStart function from SUD dialog. This is how iam calling Call ScriptStart(path & "test.vbs","abc") abc is function which is written test.vbs. It is working. But when i want to pass some parameters to the abc function of test.vbs. It is not working why. can anybody suggest where i went wrong. I am calling the same function as Call ScriptStart(path & "test.vbs","abc(" & text1.Text & ")"). It is not working why ? Is the ScriptStart function only point to functions. it does not take any parameters or waht ?

Another option in addition to UserCommands would be to use ScriptInclude(path). If you execute a ScriptInclude(path) command at the beginning of your VBScript, then all the functions and Subs in the VBscript located at "path" are now available to you-- including passing parameters and receiving return values from functions. If you are calling a VBscript that uses only VBScript variables, then this is the preferred method.
If instead you are calling a VBScript that uses global DIAdem variables declared in a VAS file (their variable names all end with the "_" character), then those parameters are already available at the subroutine called with ScriptStart(path, routine).

Call stored procedure(with parameters) via odbc

In my application I like to use the below statement to call a stored procedure with parameter and return a result set.
{CALL PP.getPerson('daniel')}
but this will just return errors to my application.
If I change the statement to:
{CALL PP.getPerson(?')}
and bind a parameter and its value, it will work.
My question is, is it possible to call a stored procedure via ODBC without binding parameters in application? I mean, what will be my SQL equivalent if I don't want to do parameter binding in my application?

Calling a function in Flash via JavaScript

My project is in Flash CS3 ActionScript 2. I am using
JavaScript elements in my project that are called within Flash. The
following code placed on frame 1 of my main timeline goes to frame
2 and displays the JavaScript element = that works. Here's the
code;
HS_Film_Button.onRelease = function ()

Now when on frame 2, I want the JavaScript "close button" in
the element to go to frame 1 on my Flash main timeline. Right now
what it does is closing itself in frame 2 of my Flash page, so I
added a flash button in there to go to frame 1. Thus the need to
double click to finally end up on frame 1. But I want the
JavaScript element to do that in the first place!
The real issue here is that the JavaScript element was once
on my main single frame timeline but its performance (display speed
and such) was greatly affected by my Flash Time and Date and Frame
rate calculations. This JavaScript element is based on miliseconds
and I suspect that my Flash file is based in seconds and that my
Flash calculations are grabbed by the Browser and directing my
JavaScript element.....Hey I am getting lost I hope you kind of see
what I mean. Anyways, if I could just get rid of frame 2 all
together and have some kind of coding that would eighther have
Flash calculate in miliseconds rather than seconds????? to match my
JavaScript one.... Or codify JavaScript so that when called it
would take over and tell the Browser to change its calculations
rates?

direction and found a couple of things,
My flash site is based on the AC_FL_RunContent JS file
not the

sameDomain" /> which element in bold should probably be
repalced by "always" for the externalinterface addCallback() to
work properly. The question being what code I have to ad to the
AC_FL_RunContent JS file for allowScriptAccess.......

Call Bex Workbook with parameters via ABAP

Dear all,
I have a problem with Excel workbook run from the functional module and transfer parameters to it.
For this purposes I have used FM RSAH_LAUNCH_EXCEL. I use SAP BW 2004s version.
In fact this FM opens the Excel workbook but these parameters (that were defined in the table I_T_VAR) are not available in Excel. The window with variables pops up anyway and fields in this window are empty.
What I would like to do finally is to run this Excel workbook, send some parameters to avoid of appearing this window. It was possible to do in Sap BW 3.5 (according to my experience). Probably it is possible to do in some other way in 2004s? If you know please give me a clue.
One more question: I try to use the function SAPBEXsetVariable() in BeX that I used to use in 3.5. In 2004s it is not available. Does somebody know what can be used instead of it in 2004s?

Calling Transaction SP01 (Display spool requests) with parameters via URL

Hi,
I would like to be able to list all spool requests of a certain title via a URL.
Unfortunately ITS does not seem to work. A URL constructed like this
http://host:port/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui/!?sap-system-login-basic_auth=X&sap-client=500&sap-language=EN&transaction=SP01&S_RQTITL-LOW=Testing123&okcode=CRET
causes a short dump that SP01 (Program RSOSP01NR) is a Module Pool.
I am therefore considering the following options:
1. BSP Program
2. Java WebDynpro
3. ABAP WebDynpro
Ideally, I want to be able to enter in my browser something like
http://host:port/<BSP_or_WebDynPro_stuff>&~title=Testing123
and for this to show in the browser a list of all spool requests that are named "Testing123".
Can someone advise whether any of the above options are preferable?
Also, whether such a program should call transaction SP01 with parameters (skipping first screen) or look to using the associated function modules.

How does one call a function with pl/sql that uses a
function?I'm not sure what you mean.
In PL/SQL function can be used just about anywhere where an expression (with the same data type that the function returns). Arpit gave a very common example.
Here's another example, where all the functions take a single NUMBER argument and return a NUMBER, so they can all be used in places where NUMBERs are used:
IF fun_a (fun_b (0)) < fun_c (1)

    SET     column_y = fun_d (2)
    WHERE   column_z = fun_e (ROUND ((fun_f (3), fun_g (4)));You call a function simply by using its name, followed by its argument list, if any.
If the function is in a package, you must call it with the package name, like "pk_foo.bar (1, 2, 3)", unless the call comes from within the same package.
If the function is owned by someone else, you must give the owner name, like "scott.bar (SYSDATE)" or "scott.pk_foo.bar (1, 2, 3)". You can create synonyms to avoid having to name the owner.

Call outside function with same name in a package

I created a function as follows:

This f1 is to be called in a package created below.
Then I create a package with a function in it, as follows:

Do you have a good reason for using the same name?
Refer to the stand-alone function with the owner name, even though it's your current schema.
That is, even if the package and the stand-alone function are owned by scott, in the package, say
x := scott.f1;

Could you indicate why you would want to?
The eventhandler you show here uses the properties of the event object passed as an argument.
The way I read it it is data retrieved from a server so your app won't know anything about is untill it is loaded from the server which should be done with an URLLoader object which in it's turn calls your eventHandler when the Event.COMPLETE is triggered.
something like:
var urlLoader = new URLLoader();
urlLoader.addEventListener( Event.COMPLETE, showTopTen )
urlLoader.load( new URLRequest( "http:// etc." ) );
to me would seem the proper method to have the function execute.

I've just finished a three day search for a FRM-92101problem, so I want to post my case, just in case it helps someone.
My case is similar to yours, in that you have a Forms 6i form migrated to 10g and deployed on Linux, although my problem was "very" specific, and thus very hard to find, this might give you some light.
I had a visual attribute that defined the property "Fill Pattern" as "none" applied to a canvas, and it deployed without any problem on 10gR2/Windows, but when deployed on Linux (10gR2/SUSE 9) it would abort the application getting a FRM-92101.
The solution in this case was just changing "none" to "Transparent".

Calling C++ functions by Java via CORBA?

I am interested in source code examples of calling C++ functions by Java via CORBA. For example the client is in Java and the server is in C++. Is it posible that the IDL compiler can generate "java" client stubs and "c++" server sceleton? So the implementation of the client will "inherit" the stubs generated by the IDL compiler, and the server implementation will use the sceleton.

As far as I know, you've got to have your idl on both side. You compile idl mapping to java on client side and mapping to C++ on server side. Then you should be able to do it.
