Call Webservice using REST and not SOAP

Hi, I am looking for an example of calling (invoking) a webservice from the database using PLSQL. The webservice is using REST rather than SOAP and returning XML
I have already got examples of how to call a webservice using SOAP but not for REST
Regards
Ash

Using Fiddler while loading your WSDL in a browser, I can see that the WSDL is using HTTP Chunked encoding. You should configure JBoss to return the WSDL without chunked encoding.

I want to call webservice using script, but i don't know how
to show busy cursor.please help me

    Show busy cursor:
    >>>
    CursorManager.setBusyCursor();
    <<<
    and hide it:
    >>>
    CursorManager.removeBusyCursor();
    <<<
Don't forget to catch all events of the web-service to
securely remove the busy cursor. Especially, you might wish to

  • Using NULL and NOT NULL in prompted filters

    Dear all,
While trying to grap the concept of prompted filters in sap bo web intelligence, I had a question whether why we cannot use NULL and NOT NULL while creating a prompted filters in our report.

    HI,
'Is Null' and 'Not Null' are the predefined functions in webi which only eliminate the null values or considering only null values.
'Is Null' and 'Not Null' are itself predefined functions that why you are not getting  prompts.
Null values are standard across the databases so this is defined  as a function in webi to specific eliminate the null values.
If something is not standard then there is option in the webi to use different operator with static values or with prompts.
More more information on Null see the Null wiki page.

Restore from the iCloud backup - assuming that you were backing up to iCloud in the first place. If you weren't using iCloud for backup - then you are out of luck.
If you were backing up to iCloud - you have to erase all contents on the iPad in Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings - before you can restore from the iCloud backup.

Could that be because I use Pages and not Word?
If so, how can I convert my PDF's to Pages so I can modify the documents?

    Hi Kathy,
I'm not very familiar with Pages, but I did just read on Apple's website that it does import .docx files. What happens when you open Pages, and then choose File > Open to open the .docx files?

  • Is there a way to do a spelling quiz in captivate using images and not questions as reference.

Is there a way to do a spelling quiz in captivate using images and not questions as reference. Specifically i want have blank lines underneath an image, where the user looks at the image and types the correct letters to fill in the blank. For example a picture of a dog, with this _ _ _ underneath for the user to fill in, or in some cases perhaps having them fill in the vowel like so "d_g".I must have audio with this , as the students will be able to listen to the audio sound out the word phonetially to help them be able to type it!
    Appreciate any advice! Cheers!

  • How To : Call External Webservice from BPEL and pass SOAP Message to the WS

    Hello All-
Greetings to all BPEL gurus. I am currently facing difficulties in calling an External Webservice from my BPEL Process and passing SOAP Message to it. The details are below:
<strong>1. The BPEL process, using database polling feature of DB Adapter, will get the records from the database.</strong>
    <strong>2. Transform the message</strong>
<strong>3. Call the External Webservice and pass the transformed message as the input to it. However the Webservice expects the BPEL process to send SOAP headers in the input message.</strong>
I am struggling on how to put the transformed message within a SOAP envelope in the BPEL process.
If anyone had similar requirements and have successfully been able to send SOAP messages from BPEL process to an external webservice, kindly let me know.
Also if there is some kind of documentation or any link in the forum that I can refer, please let me know that as well.
I am new to Webservice integration using BPEL and would really appreciate your help.
    Thanks In Advance

    Hi Dharmendra,
I am trying to send a SOAP message from my BPEL process to a web service. I have a complete SOAP message in a complex variable defined in the wsdl for the partnerlink (web service). My problem is that when I invoke the partnerlink it fails even though the content shown in the BPEL console looks valid.
I have set up obtunnel to see what I am actually sending out from BPEL. You mention that BPEL creates the SOAP envelope automatically.
I think that my problem is a result of this automatic SOAP envelope that BPEL is creating. Do you know if there is a way to turn it off?
This is what I see in the TCP monitor, please note the double SOAP env:Body:
    <env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <env:Body> <RCMR_IN000002NR01 xmlns="urn:hl7-org:v3" xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:wsa="http://www.w3.org/2005/08/addressing" xmlns:wsse="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-secext-1.0.xsd">

can any one help on this

    Hi,
If your  JAVA Application is Web based application, you can expose it as Webservice.
JAVA People will pick the data from Dbase using their application and will send the data to XI by using our XI Details like Message Interface and Data type structure and all.
So we can Use SOAP Adapter or HTTP in XI..
If you use HTTP for sending the data to XI means there is no need of Adapter also. why because HTTP sits on ABAP Stack and can directly communicate with the XI Integration Server Directly
If you are dealing with the Webservice and SAP Applications means check this

    Hi Sudheer,
There exists no seperate configurations required.
    1. providee URL or filepath.
    2. Map th request and response fields.
    3. Use the button generated to trigger the same.
Wats the error that you are getting.
You may first try using a simple service with a default login ID and password configured.

  • Bug Report: Images broke when using get_blob_file_src and not authenticated

    Hi,
it looks like that images which are retrieved with a
    apex_util.get_blob_file
call are broken when the user is not authenticated. If the generated image URL is directly called in the browser, it shows a 404 Not found error with a "Invalid Session" in the error log file on the Apache.
The above image URL is generated when using the apex_util.get_blob_file_src function call. If the new IMAGE format mask (eg. in an IRR) is used it seems to be fine, because that generates a apex_util.get_blob call.
    Testcase:
    1) http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=17201:3 (That's the sample application with page set to "doesn't need authentication")
    -> Image column is broken
    2) Login with demo/patricks_demo_workspace
    3) Go again to page 3 (Products)
-> Image column is displayed correctly
    Thanks for looking into that

    Oracle APEX Essentials: http://essentials.oracleapex.info/
My Blog, APEX Builder Plugin, ApexLib Framework: http://www.oracleapex.info/

    Hi Scott,
when I woke up today it also came into my mind that it may has something to do with the referenced P6_PRODUCT_IMAGE in the
apex_util.get_blob_file_src('P6_PRODUCT_IMAGE',p.product_id)call which references a page item on a non-public page.
I think apex_util.get_blob_file_src or better apex_util.get_blob_file shouldn't really care if the "definition" of how the BLOB looks like and where to read the information from is on a non-public page. Because it doesn't read or set actual data it just reads the definition, so it shouldn't be a security issue.
Another question is, if it's so useful to reference a page item to get this BLOB information and not directly being able to specify this information as parameters in the apex_util.get_blob_file_src call. I think I also raised that during the 3.1 beta, because in case if you just want to display a BLOB you still have to create somewhere a page item of type "file browser" to being able to reference it in the get_blob_file_src call. Direct passing of the vales would also be more transparent and self documenting.
BTW, the above code is an example of the "Sample Application" and wasn't made up by me, so probably a lot of people are using this technique to get rid of there own blob download procedures.
    Have a nice weekend
