Callable Object Type as Web Page

Hi,
I am trying to create a GP programatically.  I want to use the CO tyoe as web page, but I am not able to understand how to set the URL for the CO.
Here is my code:
     IGPCallableObjectTypeManager coTypeManager =  GPCallableObjectTypeFactory.getCallableObjectTypeManager();
     IGPCallableObjectType wpCoType = coTypeManager.getCallableObjectType("com.sap.gp.url");
     IGPCallableObject callbleObj = gpDesigntimeUpdateManager.createCallableObject(wpCoType , locale, "CO: "actionCO.name, "CO: "actionCO.name +" Description", folder.ID)
     //      obtain copy of the input parameter structure of our object
     IGPStructureInfo input = callbleObj.getInputParameters();
     IGPAttributeInfo attr = null;
     attr = input.addAttribute("grails", IGPAttributeInfo.BASE_STRING);
Before setting input parameter,  I want to set the URL.  Please let me know if which class should I use to set the URL param?
Thanks,
Apurv.

Hi David,
That didnt work.  But I tried around a few things, This works:
     IGPPhysicalCallableObject pco = callbleObj.resovlePhysicalCallableObject();
     pco.setConfigProperty("URL", "www.someurl.com");

    I cannot type a web page on my iphone5 on the search or enter website name window of safari. as I type w the system brings me back to the phone main screen. This has happened since I updated to the new iOS 8

    You haven't mentioned any steps you might have tried to correct this so I'll suggest you try the first troubleshooting step. Reset your iPhone. Press and hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the buttons and let the device restart. No data will be lost doing this. It's like rebooting a computer.

  • I am not able to create a callable object of my web Dynpro application

    Hi,
      I have my Portal server installed with NW2004S and with other components as follows.
    ·WAS 7.0 SP9
    ·EP7.0 SP9
    ·CAF 7.0 SP9
    ·VC 7.0 SP9
    But now my webdynpro application is not reflecting in web Dynpro Component(GP Interface) during the design time, when I am trying to create a callable object.
    So please can you suggest what is the problem and how I will get it corrected.
    Regards,
    Paresh.

    Hi Aliaksei,
    I had created a complete CAF application which was working fine. Then the server got crashed and i lost everything.So then i again installed the server and upgraded it to SP7.But than i was not able to see my web dynpro application while creating callable object. So i created another instance in the server at the base level(SP4) and i was able to create callable object.
    There is no problem in the webdynpro application.I have added runtime library referece to my project : sap.com/cafeugp~api and also implemented the Interface IGPWebDynproCO in my component.
    So i dont know where i am going wrong while i am upgrading the server.

    Paresh.

  • Callable object - Implementing a Web Dynpro Component

    Hi,
    I am trying out the tutorial for implementing Web Dynpro Callable object.
    I think i have missed to add some library.
    Can anybody guide me for importing the correct library?
    It is not able to recognise the WebDynproResourceAccessor class.
    Also mention what other library i need to import for this.
    <b>WebDynproResourceAccessor resourceAccessor = new WebDynproResourceAccessor(textAccessor);
    StructureInfo input = techDesc.getInputStructureInfo();</b>
    Regards
    Satya

    Hi Satya,
    You need to add the following DC's as used DC's to your WebDynpro DC:
    caf/eu/gp/api
    caf/eu/gp/api/wd
    Then, you should be able to use the following code for accessing the message pool:
    IWDTextAccessor textAccessor = wdComponentAPI.getTextAccessor();
    GPWebDynproResourceAccessor resourceAccessor = new GPWebDynproResourceAccessor(textAccessor);

  • Callable Object of Type "Input" is missing.

    Hi Friends,
    I am no able to see the callable object of type
    <b>Input</b> under <b>Data forms</b>,
    I do have only other 3 types:
    1) Data Input Form
    2) Data Display Form
    3) Data Display and Acknowledgement
    and fourth one <b>Input is Missing</b>
    Can you please tell me how can I get that,

    Hi Deepak,
    Callable Object of Type "Data Forms -> Input" has been removed.  You can view all of the available callable object types by selecting the GP Administration Workset -> Manage Permissions -> Callable Objects.  Please see <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/ff/1b3a4209a6ae04e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm">HERE</a> for documentation.

  • Accessing httpSession in GP background callable object?

    Hello Everybody,
    I’d like to manipulate the httpSession Object in the Portal Session out of an GP BackgroundCallableObject. Can anybody give me an hint how to solve this problem?
    Thanks in advance
    Robert

    Hi Robert,
    maybe you should try to use the Callable object type "Portal iview or page" in the GP-Designtime and embed it into your GP-process.
    But you have to consider that there are some restriction with regards to the possibility defining input and output parameters depending on the iview type e.g. BI or SAP transaction iview:
    If you selected a BI or SAP Transaction iView as the portal-callable object, you cannot define input parameters. To define input parameters for BI Queries, BI Web Applications or SAP Transactions, use the BI or SAP Transaction callable object.
    If you selected an iView created with Visual Composer ,the input parameters are automatically rendered and displayed. You cannot define the parameters manually.
    Hope this will help to proceed successfully

  • Install NW 2004s SP9 - extremely limited callable objects in GP

    I have installed the sneak preview for NW 2004s SP9 and find the selection of callable object types in the Guided Procedures design time to be extremely limited. The only callable object types are Service > Web Service, User Interface > Web Pages, Form > Web Dynpro Form, Form > Data Input Form, & Form > Data Display Form. The Time-Off Process example included in the doc uses the callable object type Web Dynpro Component (GP Interface), but this callable object type is not part of this installation.
    Is there something else I need to install or activate or is this simply the content that is in this install?
    Thanks,
    Elizabeth

    Maybe your problem is related to Re: exception during GP action creation. It appears that CAF is not correctly installed with the sneak preview.

  • Callable object and Guided procedures

    Hi all,
    Where we use callable objects? i want to know about the basic of callable object and guided procedure?
    sorry if my question is very silly

    Hi again
    Callable objects can be many types, including applications (like web dynpro), services (e.g. web services), remote function modules, intercative and composite forms, etc.
    The GP framework comes with a set of ready-to-use COs that you can see when you open the Create Callable Object wizard. Here is a list of the so-called predefined COs in GP:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/0f/619fd378a641b29386063019c24fc4/content.htm
    Since applications and services themselves are of various types, here is a link for creating COs of those types in GP design time:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/da/a680415dc6050de10000000a1550b0/content.htm
    You can also implement your own callable object type, but here you have to use the NW Developer Studio, apart from the GP worksets. Here is a link to give an overview:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/43/e74cb156b60a29e10000000a11466f/content.htm
    Finally, here is a document that gives general info about exposing applications as COs and links to various areas, connected to CO implementation and usage in GP:

  • Difference between Callable Object for execution and Display

    Hi,
             I am new to Guided Procedures.When i am creating a callable object under an Action ,i find callable object for execution and callable object for display in the dropdown.What is the difference between the two types of callable objects.
    Thanks,
    Bala

    Hi Bala,
    GP comes with a set of registered callable object types that define which applications you can directly expose as callable objects and enable their handling in the context of GP processes.
    So the different COs can handle your specific application requirements or process flow requirements appropriately at runtime.
    You refer those COs in actions. To make the action functional, you attach at least one callable object to it. In addition to the object that is executed when the action is called, you can attach a callable object that is displayed after the execution. The first one is mandatory. You must attach a callable object for execution. It can be either a callable object with a visible part, such as a Web Dynpro or BSP callable object, or one for background execution.
    Optionally, you can attach a callable object for display. It is required to have a visible part – for example, you cannot select a callable object for background execution.
    At runtime, this object is displayed if the processor wants to open the process step after it has been completed, or if a process contributor has view permissions on the action.
    To make it easier, I will give you an example with submitting and approving a composite form. Say, the employee fills in an order for something, submits it and the manager then approves or rejects it.
    First, in order for the employee to view the form, you can use a Form Display callable object as a display callable object for actions where the execution object is a form. It displays the name and description of the form and provides a link for download. If the user has view permissions on the step, he or she can view the display object and download the form itself. So, this CO is connected basically with the user experience and what he/she sees displayed on the screen, no matter what happens in the background (e.g. you can have a pre-filling service in the background that prefills some fields of the form, but what the user sees is only the form fields with certain info already prefilled in them).
    Next, for the manager to approve or reject the form of the employee, you need a CO that is only for execution, for example a Process Control CO for File Approval For forms, you can use it in a process in which a form is sent by e-mail. As soon as the form is submitted back to the system, the receiver can view it, save a copy of the form, and depending on his or her decision, can approve or reject it.
    This really is a very simplified example, but I hope it helped a little in some way or another
    Here is a link to the Callable Objects in GP documenatation, hope it also clears up some questions:

  • Print outs are blurry when printing from a web page.

    I have sorta a strange problem with my printer that I'm hoping someone might be able to help me with. I have an HP 895 series printer that I got from an website not long ago. I bought (remanufactured) ink cartridges for it because it looked like the ink was running out, but after I put them in the prints started to look really blurry to where it would kind of hurt my eyes to look at it. I tried cleaning around the cartridges and printer as best I could and aligned the print cartridges. The problem is that the alignment page prints ok, I even printed a word document which looked fine, but when I try to print any type of web page from firefox, it still comes out blurry. It seems as if it is still not aligned. I'm not sure if there is anything else I can try or anything I can do to correct this. I'm just wondering if anyone has some suggestions.

    If it is blurry after you installed the remanufactured cartridges, then it is the cartridges. If there is a printhead cleaning utility in the print driver, then run that, it may help. The only other possibility I can think of, is if you also changed to a different type of paper, but that is less likely.

  • Problem to execute a Callable Object (SAP R/3 transaction)  in UWL

    Hi,
    I have developed a callable object which calls a SAP R/3 transaction. It runs perfectly in design time , when I run it in UWL I am getting the Error “"An error occurred while displaying the callable object, which uses the page builder. Check that the page builder is installed, and the transaction iView is available “.
    Please let me know your thoughts and suggestions.

    Hi Wesley
    According to me, it is because of some missing package that this problem is encountered coz even i have faced this problem w.r.t the UWL and then i imported the required packages and it worked.
