CallBack from Oracle to a bean

I am using WL5.1 and Oracle 8i.
My application demands clients to be refereshed whenever a table in the
database is modified.
For this, I plan to load Java class inside Oracle 8i wrap it inside a
procedure, which will be invoked on the table update.I was able to do
the basics and test it also.
But, I am unable to call the EJB Bean deployed in
the WL.
Here is part of the Java class loaded in Oracle 8i
static public Context getInitialContext() throws Exception
Hashtable h = new Hashtable();
h.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY,
"weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory");
h.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, url);
if (user != null) {
System.out.println ("user: " + user);
h.put(Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL, user);
if (password == null)
password = "";
h.put(Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS, password);
return new InitialContext(h);
I get an error
Cannot instantiate class: weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory.
what can be the problem, is it that it's not possible to
call a external program from within Oracle Server.Oracle documentation
doesn't talk about it clearly.
Can anybody help me out or give me a better idea of how to do callbacks.
Thanks!
Sandip

Yes i restarted. Here my file contains.

  • Java bean from oracle Forms6i

    Hi Guys,
    I am calling java bean from oracle Forms6i (implementation
    class property set to bean class). This java bean in turn
    calling some JNI methods written in C. The application server
    (Forms6i) is hanging at the point of calling the JNI method.
    Is oracle Forms6i supports all java functionality (JNI here)
    and if so how to solve the problem ?
    Any pointers or tips in this regard is highly appreciated ?

    To call Java from forms:
    look at the technical documents on Java integration at
    http://otn.oracle.com/products/forms
    and also look at the Javabeans and PJC samples in the sample
    code section of Forms on OTN.
    Creating a random number using a java class is an excelent
    example of how to use Java with forms.

  • Callback from a stateful bean

    Hello,
    I have a problem performing callback from a session stateful EJB. I have defined
    an interface with a single unimplemented method onMessage in it, and an abstract
    class that implements this interface. The abstract class is extended by another
    class, a broker. In the broker I have fully implemented the method onMessage defined
    in the interface. The broker calls a method in the EJB passing its reference,
    subscribing itself as a listener. When needed, the EJB calls the onMessage method
    of the listener, that in this case is the broker. The method is correctly invoked
    and the code in it is executed, BUT it seems the control is not really passed
    to the broker: the EJB itself seems to be executing the broker code... Note that
    broker and EJB are in differents EAR.
    Infact there are problems of ClassCastException when, in the broker onMessage
    method, are called some other EJBs present in the broker EAR but not present in
    the EJB EAR. It seems the classloader after the callback is the EJB classloader
    and no more the broker classloader!
    I'm only calling a method defined in an interface as a callback method...
    Some hypothesis??
    Thank you!

  • How to get the callback from an asynchronous BPEL?

    Hi, I have deployed an asynchronous BPEL on Oracle Application Server as a Web Service. The BPEL is named CreditRatingBPEL. The input is a social security number (Ssn) and the output is a credit rating.
    Now I have some troubles in consuming BPEL with Axis1.4. I have generated the client stubs by WSDL2Java tools. I have initiated the asynchronous BPEL successfully. Now I want to get the callback from the BPEL, but I don't know how to do it.Here are some Java snippets:
    public static void main(String[] args) throws ServiceException, RemoteException {
    // TODO Auto-generated method stub
    CreditRatingBPEL_Service service = new CreditRatingBPEL_ServiceLocator();
    CreditRatingBPEL_PortType requestPortType = service.getCreditRatingBPELPort();
    CreditRatingBPELProcessRequest request = new CreditRatingBPELProcessRequest();
    request.setSsn("31060931");
    // asynchronous invoke
    requestPortType.initiate(request);
    // how can I get the callback from the web service?
    I will be very appreciated if you can give me some suggestions. Best regards!

  • Calling a DLL from ORACLE: problem of time!!!

    Hi all! Now I'm going to explain this strange subject. I've made a DLL in Delphi that imports a file from a server. Then I've created an Oracle 9iR2 procedure that makes a call to this DLL. Someone can explain me why the first call to this DLL is slower than the successive calls (20 seconds the first, 5 seconds the other)?
    Thank you very much!

    Yes! It's exact! After post this message I've casually find this (from Oracle Application Developer's Guide - Fundamentals):
    How the Database Server Calls External C Procedures
    To call an external C procedure, PL/SQL must find the path of the appropriate DLL.
    The PL/SQL engine retrieves the path from the data dictionary, based on the library alias from the procedure declaration’s AS LANGUAGE clause. Next, PL/SQL alerts a Listener process which, in turn, spawns a session-specific
    agent. By default, this agent is named extproc, although you can specify other names in the listener.ora file. The Listener hands over the connection to the agent, and PL/SQL passes to the agent the name of the DLL, the name of the external procedure, and any parameters.
    Then, the agent loads the DLL and runs the external procedure. Also, the agent handles service calls (such as raising an exception) and callbacks to the Oracle
    server. Finally, the agent passes to PL/SQL any values returned by the external procedure.
    After the external procedure completes, the agent remains active throughout your
    Oracle session; when you log off, the agent is killed. Consequently, you incur the
    cost of launching the agent only once, no matter how many calls you make. Still, you should call an external procedure only when the computational benefits
    outweigh the cost.
    Thank you very much!

  • Calling Web Service passing xml from Oracle Forms

    Hello,
    I need to call a .net web service from Oracle Forms that passes in xml data and returns xml data.
    I have seen several examples of how to create a wrapper in jdev and then to import the code
    into forms. I just have not seen any examples that are passing parmameters especially not xml
    as a parameter and that have an active wsdl that I can see how it relates to the code created.
    I have a wrapper but cannot figure out where and what notation to use to include passing in
    an xml object.
    Does anyone have an example passing in xml where the wsdl is still available to see?'
    Forms version 10.1.2.0.2. Jdev 10.1.3.4
    Thanks,

    Also here you have several options...
    1. you can make a PJC (bean) which include a webservice stub generated with axis (you can make a stub and also test a webservice with this tool: www.soapui.org)..
    2. you can make a database webservice with JPublisher and then just call a pl/sql wrapper for this webservice
    4. you can call a webservice with java api (HttpsURLConnection, HttpURLConnection or with apache HTTPClient api) from your PJC for example:
    the code below is used as java stored procedure to call a .net webservice on https

  • Porting from Oracle 10g AS to Oracle 11g Weblogic server

    Hi,
    I am trying to port J2EE applicatin from Oracle 10g AS to Oracle 11g Weblogic Server. I have jsp files which contains sql code embedded to fetch data from the DB. The components used in this application are Java, JSP, Servlets and Stateless session beans.
    I have a commonjar which is used to create DB Connection manager and other common stuff which is present inside web-inf/lib. My application is packaged as an ear and which contains the war and different ejb-project.jar files. When the Stateless bean is trying to call the ConnectionManager class, which is present inside the commonjar inside web-inf/lib, I get InvocationTargetException. When I debugged in Eclipse, I see that that inside ejb the reference ConnectionManager, the variable cannot be resolved. So I guess at runtime, ejb is not able to locate ConnectionManager Class.
    I tried to copy this jar to APP-INF/lib and the same jar is present inside web-inf/lib as well. In that case what happens is the jsp fails with the exception ConnectionManager cannot be resolved.
    How can I make the ejb work by keeping the commonjar inside web-inf/lib alone.
    Any help or suggestions?
    Thanks
    Raj

    The classloader hierarchy in WLS looks like this (arrows denote inheritance direction):
    Java bootstrap classloader <- Java CLASSPATH classloader <- WLS $DOMAIN_HOME/lib classloader <- Application (e.g., EAR) classloader <- web app classloader <- single JSP classloader
    The Connection Manager is loaded by the web app classloader while the EJBs are loaded by the application classloader so the EJBs have no visibility to the classes loaded by the child (web app) classloader.
    The simplest fix might be to move the Connection Manager jar file to the EAR file's APP-INF/lib directory.
    One word of caution though, you need to be using WebLogic Server's Data Sources and JDBC connection pooling to make sure that you correct transactional behavior if the application is doing any sort of JTA transaction (regardless of whether the JTA transactions are using XA or not...).
    Hope this helps,
    Robert

  • Test waits forever for a callback from a human task

    Hi,
    I've create a test to test a BPEL process. Now within the BPEL process there is a call to a human task service. I've emulated the task initiation message which is fine. I also tried to emulate the receive message from the human task service but during the test execution, the test waits forever to receive the callback from the human task service, even though i've specified the return message. Hi hi, on a hunch I previewed the page in the browser, and copy pasted the faces/untitled1 portion of the URL there and pasted on the http://<server_address>:8001/BasicAPPDemo_Root therefore ending with http://<server_address>:8001/BasicAPPDemo_Root/faces/untitled1 and lo and behold I saw the little text box saying "Hello World" ;D
    So with that i escalated, switched to the application where the page from BPM was located, deployed it and did the same trick.
    But it borked it gave this error:
    JBO-29115 Unable to construct the error message due to error java.lang.NullPointerException. Use the exception stack trace and error code to investigate the root cause of this exception. Root cause error code is JBO-.
    I figured that the Default generation could be faulty so i created a new page and only recycled the data controls, created everything in read mode, just to test and deployed, when i tested, i was optimistic as the 1st tab didn't had any error (also does not have anything related to the HumanTask, even the data controls) the problem was in the other tabs as I show here.
    Many thanks sirs, and sorry for wasting thy time.

    Thanks for the help, this Iterator is coming from the BPM, so rows and attributes should be there, I am able to fetch the rows and attribute in my bean as I updated.
    Now if the things updated is wrong then how can I iterate through the all rows in my jspx page, using a foreach.
    Thanks

  • How to write jsp select record from Oracle  divide per page , about 50 reco

    Dear Expert,
    How to write jsp select record from Oracle divide per page , about 50 record per page.
    Thank you very much.

    I wish I could, but there is no single sign on module available for Fusion, also, so called Fusion is yet another Word With Big Letters, behind it there is yet another OC4J ( now Oracle switched to Weblogic though) container with bunsh of Oracle apps residing in it.
    Generally speaking, neither Fusion nor Oracle Apps user database does not have any single authentication module available out of the box to integrate user database.
    It's a long sad story running straight from Oracle Apps 11.0.5.
    That's why I've created JAAS single sign on login module and used it ever since at OC4J 10.2 and onwards at OC4J 10.3
    Back to the topic: to develop Apps and test them externally using the session bean I've isted above, one need to copy certain libraries from Oracle Apps server, then add them as libraries for JDeveloper project.
    Here is the complete list:
    oracle.apps.fnd.cache
    oracle.apps.fnd.cache
    oracle.apps.fnd.common
    oracle.apps.fnd.functionSecurity
    oracle.apps.fnd.metadata
    oracle.apps.fnd.security
    oracle.apps.fnd.util
    oracle.apps.jtf.cache
    oracle.apps.jtf.security

  • Send email from oracle

    Dear member & developers
    I want to send e mail from oracle application. If anybody knows, how to do this. please write or send a sample application or forms or database sql. I don't restricted to any application version like 10g or 11g same as database...
    I seriously need it.
    Thanks in Advanced.

    As Francois indicated - there are multiple examples around the internet and in the forums. Any email solution you choose is going to require that you have access to a valid email server (SMTP, POP3, etc). Also, the solution is dependent on "Where" you want to send the email from. I prefer a database solution because this makes it available to your entire database application, but you can use a Java email method (using Forms PJC or Java Bean) or you can OLE link to Microsoft Outlook.
    Take a look at Send Email from the Database. I wrote this package based on the DEMO_MAIL package provided by Oracle (via OTN) and stream line things a bit. There is an example of how to use the package in the article.
    Take a look at Send email with HTML body and local file attachements article on Franscois's web site for an example of sending email from an Oracle Form using Java.
    If you need to use Outlook - search the forum. I don't consider this to be a reasonable method so I don't use it or recommend it. I'm sure it works fine for others, I just think being dependent on a application installed on the client is not a solid solution. That's just my opinion. ;-)
    I search through out the net. Didn't get any tutorial video or any working materiel. I disagree with this statement - I did a quick Google search and found many examples (no videos) and demo's.
    Hope this helps,
    Craig B-)

  • Migration problems from Oracle 10gAS R1-R2.

    We moved from Oracle 10gAS R1 to 10gAS R2. So i had to re-compile my code in Oracle forms to deploy them. I was successful in moving all files except for one.WHenever i try to run this file (after compilation in R2) i am receiving the foll error.
    I checked the whole code in that file, it has no refernce to the old servers..everything was updated. I am sure this error is due to the file and nothing related to my configuration files in the AS. This is because other forms (using webutil) works fine except for this form. How do i get around this, the logs and error messages dont really help.

    Hi,
    I have a similiar problem here while migrating from jboss 3.04 to oc4j 9.0.4. I get the same error message: invalid column identifier.
    What do I have?
    A small web application with jsp and struts, some session beans, some entity beans with relations, some finder methods (EJB-QL), separate FK-classes, CMP and CMR.
    I checked all my identifiers and they are correct. Now I tracked down the problem to the following:
    When I deploy the ear file to oc4j, then the container takes my orion-ejb-jar.xml and generates its own one for runtime. In this generated new file you can see the queries (select statements) which the container will use. Unfortunately, some of these selects use a WRONG identifier...
    Let's say a field is named "homeStation_implName". Then you find two occurences of this field name in a select: one is correct with "homeStation_implName", but the other one is WRONG with "homeStation_".
    And that's what causes the "invalid column identifier" error message.
    As a workaround, I tried to modify the generated orion-ejb-jar.xml to use consistently the field name "homeStation_". But after restarting the server, my modificatons are gone again...
    Do you have any idea, what problem this could be?
    Any workaround I could use?
    Thanks,
    Torsten

    Hi ,
    We are facing some error while invoking a WS-Security secured web service from our BPEL Process on the windows platform(SOA 10.1.3.3.0).
    For the BPEL process we are following the same steps as given in an AMIS blog : - [http://technology.amis.nl/blog/1607/how-to-call-a-ws-security-secured-web-service-from-oracle-bpel]

    Any pointers in this regard will be highly appreciated.

    Hi James,
    Thanks for the quick reply.
    We've tried to call that web service from an HTML designed in Visual Studios with the same username and password and its working fine.
    But on the BPEL console, we are getting the error as mentioned.
    Also if you can tell me how to set the user name and password in the header of the parter link.I could not find how to do it.
    Thanks,
