Calling a Tabstrip subscreen from subscreen.

hello to all,
i want to know whether it is possible to place tabstrip control in a subscreen of the main screen in Dialog programming
.if yes then how to call the subscreen of the tabstrip .
for ex:i hv Main screen no.201 as noraml screen and in that i hv Subscreen Area in that i wanted to call Subscreen hving no. 1001,and in that 1001 subscreen i hv placed the tabstrip control.
know in PBO of 201screen i hv called the subscreen 1001 in the subscreen<area>.
but from where should i call the tabstrip subscreen from ?
so plz help me by providing some code etc.

i ve the following problem:
I have a Report with a normal selection-screen and a call screen 100 after that.
That Dynpro 100 itself is a Tabstrip-Control. And on one of the Tabs i need to place some Select-options fields ( and a pushbutton + an alv, which shows the result of the selection, but thats not a problem).
The Problem i think is, that a Tab itself is a subscreen. not a "real" dynpro. i tried to place a subscreen control on that tab ( subscreen in a subscreen dynpro ) and define a selection screen as subscreen. but it s not being displayed.
selection-screen begin of screen 0888 as subscreen.
selection-screen begin of block s01 with frame title text-s01.
select-options: s_mrbe for eedmsettlunit-settlunit.
selection-screen end of block s01.
selection-screen end   of screen 0888.
in dynpro logic:
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.

CALL SUBSCREEN:

Your problem is to show a subscreen selection-screen on another subscreen, right?
It works for me:
1. Copy DEMO_DYNPRO_TABSTRIP_LOCAL report.
2. Add your own subscreen selection-screen:
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF SCREEN 9001 AS SUBSCREEN.
.. SELECT-OPTIONS: p_sel FOR ok_code.
SELECTION-SCREEN END OF SCREEN 9001.
3. Call your subscreen 9001 on screen 100
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
MODULE STATUS_0100.
CALL SUBSCREEN: SUB1 INCLUDING SY-REPID '9001', "<---
                  SUB2 INCLUDING SY-REPID '0120',
                  SUB3 INCLUDING SY-REPID '0130'.

Its not going to be different that what you do on a normal screen. I am assuming that you are using OO ALV control.
Here you do this on the sub screen instead of the main screen. Take a look at my weblog.

I want to call sequence of subscreens conditionally in the same screen like
in basic data view 1 based on material types subscreen sequence will change
if material type 'X'

I would like to call a selection screen from a function module or method. I understand it is not possible by the definition. Are there any alternative options as I am looking for the Variants Save option on the screen. Any thoughts?

Since i don't know your exact requirements (standard SAP selection screen? your own selection screen?) the onl;y thing i can come up with is:
1. in your function pool create your own screen with a subscreen area
2. create your own selection screen as a subscreen.
3. include the selection subscreen in the first screen
4. call the first screen in your function.

Its about calling a rtf template from another rtf template by passing a value.
My requirement is like:
I got a quote report from Siebel, based on the product PartNumber I need to pull product description or literature from another database database.
My approach is something like; get a partnumber from quote report pass it to another rtf template which uses the partnumber and get the data from table using DataSource. When user pull a quote report from siebel this new rtf template should attach to the quote at the end.
I've gone through all available blogs about sub-reports and white papers from Oracle they are not much helpful since I need step-by-step.

IMHO you can not attach it to main. it'll be second independent report
you can try subtemplate but it's not about rtf from rtf by click
it's about call automatically rtf subtemplate from main rtf based on some conditions
for example, main template contain some data and if some condition is true then call subtemplate and place it instead of its condition

Hi i have followed the following steps which is specified in this thread
You need to follow below steps...
add a java parameter to the OSB server. Go to domains\osb_domain\bin folder and edit the setDomainEnv file and add this line to this file. set JAVA_PROPERTIES=-Dplatform.home=%WL_HOME% -Dwls.home=%WLS_HOME% -Dweblogic.home=%WLS_HOME% -Dcom.sun.xml.namespace.QName.useCompatibleSerialVersionUID=1.0
Step 2 is to replace the bpel jars in the bpel transport ear. Go folder osb_10.3\lib\transports and open bpel10gtransport.ear and replace the following jar files orabpel.jar, orabpel-common.jar , xmlparserv2.jar and oc4jclient.jar with the ones you can find in the soa suite 10.1.3 home.
But still i am getting the error.
I am using WLS (10.0).Is it compatible with bpel-10g protocol, because i have already called a sync BPEL process with http protocol and it worked?This thread talks about WLS(9.2)

Hi Swapna,
from your screenshot it seems that you actually try to call the service in your Data Source Expression field. You should set path to the WSDL file here actually - this could be either URL to SAP or to filesystem, as Anton suggested (this could be faster). Have you created endpoint binding for your service in transaction SOAMANAGER? If yes, then simply download the corresponding WSDL with binding or copy the URL which leads to it. But also test whether you are able to retrieve the WSDL without logging into SAP (close all browser windows and then open a new one otherwise session ID from other browser windows can be reused).
If you have to give username and password, then setup anonymous alias in transaction SICF, for example.

QName error while calling a web service from Sourcing

I need to call a web service from Sourcing script. The web service team has provided us the WSDL and I have generated the required stubs using wsimport and packaged the required java classes in a custom JAR. Now while calling a web method using this jar from my script, I am getting and exception. The exception message that I printed out was this:

The same jar and same code works fine when called from a standalone java program.
I am not using or creating QName anywhere in my script. The only place where QName is used is in the generated java class and there it is created from the correct namespace URL
Can anyone please help me out in figuring out what is the issue?

Yes u can do it. there are two ways.
1) First one is using utl_http package of PL/SQL
In this case u can create SOAP request message & send it as Http request to your deployed BPEL process.
This package provides some methods like
set_header,write_text,get_response,read_text etc..

2) Second way is make your BPEL process listening to some database Queue(use AQ Adapter). & then put some message in tht queue from ur Pl/SQL code . This will also initiate BPEL instance. Check out AQAdapter tutorials.

How to call COPY web service from sharepoint in SAP

Hello Experts,
I want to call COPY web service from SharePoint in SAP web dynpro / JAVA application.
However, when I try to connect to web service and download wsdl using   http:// <hostname:port>/_vti_bin/copy.asmx?wsdl
it results in Unauthorized error and doesnt complete the setup. Detail error is :
Error occurred while downloading WSIL file. Error message: Deserializing xml stream http:// <hostname:port>/_vti_bin/copy.asmx?wsdl
failed.com.sap.engine.services.webservices.espbase.wsdl.exceptions.WSDLException: Invalid Response Code: (401) Unauthorized. The requested URL was:"Connect to

I am trying to connect with server user account. Any idea on what authorizations might be required or any help on the scenario .

I do migrate from AS10g to WLS 10.3.5 / Forms 11
I get differences between FORMS 10 g / AS and FORMS 11 / WLS
when call an excel-file with web.showdocument
in 10g AS10g
the call
web.showdocumen('http://MyAS10_Server/myFormsMapping/myExcelfile.xls, _blank);
opens a Windows-Box
to decide
open with ( MSExcel )
or
download and save as File
in WLS 10.3.5 / FORMS 11.1.1.4
the call with webcache Port 8090 as well as Port OHS 8888
web.showdocumen('http://MyWLS_Server:8090/myFormsMapping/myExcelfile.xls, _blank);
opens promptly the excel-File into the Browser as html-Format
How to get the same way under WLS as before in AS 10g,
config OHS ?
