Calling actionblocks name from a variable

Good morning all,
For log storing purposes, I've created a Table on my Database called MII_LOG, and everytime a Data query returns an error I want to record this error in my database.
So let's say I have 20 Data query actionblocks inside my Transaction. I created a XML variable called TRANSACTION_QUERIES with the following structure:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?>
<QUERIES>
<NAME>Ins_FGE_PROJECT</NAME>
<NAME>Ins_EMS_PROJECT</NAME>
And so on...
</QUERIES>
After my whole transaction has been executed I've set a repeater to go through
Local.TRANSACTION_QUERIES{/QUERIES/NAME}
And for each line I wanted to check if the ActionBlock named after my current <NAME> line . LastErrorMessage is different than "" and if it is, than insert a log line on my table.
Is that possible?
Thanks a lot and best regards,
Guilherme

Hi Guilherme,
If your queries are dynamic you can create queries in XML variable like
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?>
<QUERIES>
<QUERY>Insert into t1 values(1,1)</QUERY>
<QUERY>Insert into t2 values(2,2)</QUERY>
And so on...
</QUERIES>
and you can use single query temple to execute queries in loop.
in case of failure you can log action.
May be this will work.

Anshul

  • Trying to call a function from a variable in Flex 4.0 ActionScript and need some suggestions

    I am attempting to build a site map in Flex. I have my links (or will have) in a database, along with a "link." On click from a datagrid, I have an event handler where I can get the link. However, everything I have tried to use won't call the function. Ideally, I would like to call a function from from my topLevel application, and I can do that using the mx.core.FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication call. Can anyone point a fairly new Flex coder in the right direction? Thank you.

    Here is the function on the group component (simplified): -- I got this from one of my google searches. The other was using the SWFLoader, but since this is in the same application, I didn't think it was as relevant. Plus, the SWFLoader used some references that I couldn't resolve.
    private function site_click(event:ListEvent):void {
      var sURL:String=list.dataProvider[event.rowIndex].link;
       var sCommand:String="mx.core.FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication." + sURL;
       this.[sCommand]();
    This yields the error message ReferenceError: Error #1059: Property mx.core.FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication.myths_click() not found on sitemap and there is no default value.
    Whereas this works fine:
    mx.core.FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication.myths_click();
    sitemap is my component name.

  • Dynamic Name from attribute : Variable Substitution

    Hey there,
    Can I use the variable subsititution feature of the File Adapter to set the filename dynamically from the payload. The filename is to come from a attribute and NOT an element. Is there a way how I can set this in the file schema subsitition .
    Thanks is advance,
    Zubair

    Hi,
    I dont think you can use the Attributes in order to use Variable name substitituion.
    Another option would be to use Adapter Specific identifiers --> Filename  and the following code in your mapping to set the file adapters file name dynamically,
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
    String targetFileName="FILENAME";
    conf.put(key,targetFileName);
    Also take a look at this blog,

  • File information -- How to retrieve file name from header variable

    Hi
    I am using File Adapters to read files(.xml) and then I need to perform some database operations.
    One of the requirement is storing the file name read into the DB.
    I searched through the forum and got the information on how to configure this in the header variable. The link below shows the same.
    File Adapter
    Now, I use the XSL mapper to map the source values(from input xml file) to the corresponding table column names. So how should I get the value of the file name.
    I saw some of the in-built functions to be used for this but there is not enough documentation to proceed.
    Can anyone please provide some solution on this.
    /Kiran.

    Hi,
    Here are the steps that you need to do after you have declared the variable.
    1) The variable that you have declared should have the following elements
    a) Filename
    b) Directory
    2) Use the assign activity to copy the value of the filename part of this variable to the arg that needs to be passed to the database. (most probably an invoke variable).
    If you still have any problems implementing this, mail me at [email protected]..and i'll send you the screen shots for the entire process.

  • ODI - Setting file name from a variable

    Hi,
    I am working on a data integration where I have to fetch data from a database table
    and write it to a flat-file (Fixed length text file). I have succeeded in creating the file.
    I could connect to the database, fetch data and write it to a flat-file in the format I need.
    1. After doing this, can I rename the file or move to file to somewhere, where the filename
    is something like 'File_yyyyMMDDHHmmss.txt'?
    2. To Achieve this, can I use a variable in the ODI project?
    Please help as this is needed urgently for a delivery.
    Thanks,
    Leo

    Hi,
    Thanks for the response. I used it in the same way. But, when I validate the query, it says invalid format description. I am putting this query in the "Select query" text item in "Refreshing" tab of the variable definition screen.
    Thanks,
    Leo

    Thanks.

    Yes. As serlank showed, you can just call the function easily in scriptlet tags
    However the whole point of a tag library is to avoid the use of scriptlets.
    Seeing as you can't use functions, is just to do it as a standard tag.
    ie in your jsp
    <login:verify name="<%= userName %>" password = "<%= password %>" resultVar = "status"/>
    <c:choose>
      <c:when test="${status == 'InvalidU'}">
        <c:set var="nextPage" value="InvalidUserName.jsp"/>
      </c:when>
      <c:when test="${status == 'InvalidP'}">
        <c:set var="nextPage" value="InvalidPassword.jsp"/>
      </c:when>
    </c:choose>In your case, this tag in the tld would possibly look something like this.
    You would then have to write a tag handler class that would call the function you want.
    <tag>
      <name>verify</name>
      <tagclass>com.tags.login.Verify</tagclass>
      <teiclass>com.tags.login.VerifyTEI</teiclass>  (if required)
      <bodycontent>JSP</bodycontent>
    // name attribute
    <attribute>
          <name>name</name>
          <required>true</required>
          <rtexprvalue>true</rtexprvalue>
        </attribute>
    // password attribute
        <attribute>
          <name>password</name>
          <required>true</required>
          <rtexprvalue>true</rtexprvalue>
        </attribute>
    // result variable to return a response from the tag.
      <variable>
        <name-from-attribute >resultVar</name-from-attribute >
        <variable-class>java.lang.String</variable-class>
        <declare>true</declare>
        <scope>AT_END</scope>
      </variable>
    </tag>Hope this helps some, and doesn't confuse too much :-)

  • Calling startrfc.exe from within a vbs script

    Hello, can someone help me please
    I am trying to process xml idocs into SAP on a Windows 2008 server. I have written a vbs script to process the file and am trying to call STARTRFC.EXE from within the vbs script. However I keep getting an error that it cannot open the file. The code is shown below. I have changed the server name and gateway and user/passwd for security. I'm passing the filename as a variable (str_expfile) but it does not seem to be able to extract the actual file name from the variable. I know from past experience that you can pass it variables if its running on a unix box and in a shell. But for some reason it not decipering the variable name in the vbs script
    Set objShell = CreateObject("Wscript.Shell")
    str_startrfc = "D:\usr\sap\SID\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64\startrfc.exe -d SID -3 -h hostname -s 00 -g hostname -x sapgw00 -u user -p passwd -c 100 -l EN -t -F EDI_DATA_INCOMING -E PORT=MYPORT -E PATHNAME=str_expfile"
    objShell.Run str_startrfc, ,True
    The error I'm getting is shown below:
    ERROR file opened at 20110510 134219 GMT Daylight Time, SAP-REL 700,0,278 RFC-VER 3 1200864 MT-SL

    Hi Markus
    Unfortunately I can't do that because I need it to process hundreds of files one after another and I would have to hard code the file path each time. That's why I need it automated.
    Can startrfc.exe not take a variable for the pathname in a vb script? It works fine in a unix shell. We are migrating from unix to windows and I need to convert all my unix scripts into vb scripts.
    I notice there is a nother rfc type program available, can I use rfcexec.exe instead of startrfc.exe and would it take variables?
    Thanks

  • File name from an attribute of an element of the payload

    Dear Experts,
    Could you suggest the syntax for specifying the file name from a variable in the file receiver communication channel? I need to grab the file name from an ATTRIBUTE of an element of the payload.
    Thanks a lot.
    Example: Need to pass the attribute "descReceipt" of the element "promotionEvent" to the variable in the following payload:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <promotionExport>
    <promotionEvent eventIdentifier="30" status="A" descReceipt="FILE1">

    The scenario is IDOC to FILE. I need to get the value of the receiving partner.
    The message header has the node "DynamicConfiguration". Please see the xml below. I need to grab the key RCVPRN (0000002104) from this and pass as the file name in the receiver file adapter.
    How do I setup my receiver file adapter for this? I tried changing the values for the variable, and also enabling the adapter specific message attributes. No solution yet.

  • Adding caller with name and number from call list to the contact list only inserts the number and not the name

    I recently bought a BlackBerry Z10 and moved my cell service to Rogers to take advantage of the name display service offered by Rogers (Fido also offers this service).
    Due to the number of calls that I receive from first time clients, I wanted the name display service to help me know who was calling. Evidently it is impossible to add clients to my contact list before they call me so I'm constantly seeing numbers that have no name to help me decide if I want to answer the call.
    When I try to add a caller from my call list to my contact list, only the number gets inserted in the new contact. The name needs to be entered manually.
    I understand and realize that not all call display formats are the same and that it's virtually impossible to parse the first and last names from the name portion of the caller id.
    However, I would like to see BlackBerry add the functionality to insert the name portion of the call entry from the caller list to a "Nickname" entry in the contact list just like it adds the number to a "Home", "Mobile", or "Work" entry in the contact list.
    If a user doesn't have a name display service, there would be no change to how their contacts are added because there is no name variable to copy over.
    Can someone from BlackBerry please let me know if this feature can be added to BB10 and when it can be added? For me it's an obvious feature that should just work.
    I am really enjoying my Z10 but I'm feeling let down that something so logical and helpful is not supported out of the box.
    Regards,
    Marc

    Hey ViciousFerret,
    It appears that you are not aware of the fact that both Rogers and Fido offer name AND number display service (although the name display feature is an add-on service) and have been offering it for many years (since 2006). Here is a link to the name display service description of each provider...
    http://www.fido.ca/web/content/manageyourcalls/calldisplay&lang=en
    http://www.rogers.com/business/on/en/smallbusiness/products/wireless/addons/valuepacks/
    As you can see from the link below, Rogers and Fido have been offering this service since 2006.
    http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20060914005951/en/Teams-HP-Rogers-Wireless-Fido-Succeed-North
    My BlackBerry Z10 shows both the name and number when someone calls (and the caller is not in my contact list).
    All I would like is for the Z10 (and Q10) to support the addition of the name and number from the caller list to my contact list without me having to type the name. As I mentioned in my original post, to avoid the OS having to parse the first name and last name from the name portion of the caller list entry the name could simply be added to the contact list as a "Nickname". If your provider only has number display, nothing would have to be copied from the name variable in the caller list to the contact list.
    I find it difficult to believe that BlackBerry would not be aware of this name display service since it's been around since 2006 with both Rogers and Fido.
    I hope I have clarified the reasons why I would like to have this feature added to BB10 and how it's surprising that this simple feature is not already a part of the BB10 OS.
    Either way, I don't think this is a difficult feature for the BlackBerry team to add. They're just copying a 2nd variable from the caller list to the contact list.
    I'm surprised that Rogers hasn't asked BlackBerry to add this feature to their phones. I think it would be a popular feature for those who receive a high number of calls from first time callers.
    How can I get this feature request to BlackBerry for their consideration?
    Cheers,
    Marc

  • Scope issue: Trying to set the value of a variable in a calling (upper) script from a called (lower) script

    Hi,
    I have a basic scope question . I have two .ksh scripts. One calls the other.
    I have a variable I define in script_one.ksh called var1.
    I set it equal to 1. so export var1=1
    I then call script_two,ksh from script_one.ksh.  In script_two.ksh I set the value of var1 to 2 . so var1=2.
    I return to script_one.ksh and echo out var1 and it still is equal to 1.
    How can I change the value of var1 in script_two.ksh to 2 and have that change reflected in script_one.ksh when I echo var1 out after returning from script_two.ksh.
    I've remember seeing this I just can't remember how to do it.
    Thanks in advance.

    Unfortunately Unix or Linux does not have a concept of dynamic system kernel or global variables.
    Environment variables can be exported from a parent to a child processes, similar to copying, but a child process cannot change the shell environment of its parent process.
    However, there are a few ways you could use: You can source execute the scripts, using the Bash source command or by typing . space filename. When source executing a script, the content of the script are run in the current shell, similar to typing the commands at the command prompt.
    Use shell functions instead of forking shell scripts.
    Store the output of a script into a variable. For instance:
    #test1.sh
    var=goodbye
    echo $var
    #test2.sh
    var=hello
    echo $var
    var=`./test1.sh`
    echo $var
    $ ./test2.sh
    hello
    goodbye

    i nead the computer name in R3 when I  come to R3 from  CRM .

    thats because 'TERMINAL_ID_GET'  is not a RFC (check the attributes tab of the FM from SE37)
    if you dont find a RFC to do t his you can wrap this FM with a custom RFC and use it.
    if you want all the logged on users info (computer name and other info) then you can use THUSRINFO FM which a RFC

  • Caller ID for incoming calls NOT displaying name from contacts (only displays phone # on BB Z10)

    on the Z10 Whenever I receive an incoming call, the caller ID only shows the phone #, even when I have that number matched to a contact in the phone, even the call log it show the number and not the name.  How do I get the caller ID to recognize and display the appropriate contact name with the phone fro an incoming call? Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks, Akhanbilal

    Thank you Arsen but, as with everyone else : (1) When you get an in-coming call, it has no call log on the phone app call log that allows you do a thing under the sun except to touch the number of the last call, and when you do, it CALLS THEM BACK. (2) On every other BlackBerry I have owned, about 10 to-date, I simply selected the last in-coming call and had a button at the bottom of the screen to allow me to ADD TO CONTACTS. (3) This does NOT exist on the Z10, and there certainly is no "Click on number, little slider pops on the right, select add to contact."  Instead it dials them.  Frustrating other uses have described Arsen. Further, while on the topic : (4) None of this has anything to do with 10-digit national dialing plan or anything else on swipe finger down from top in Phone App, Arsen. (5) When you swipe Phone App down, you see SETTINGS. Then, there are 13 items.  I have looked at all 13 items and see nothing as you describe to select, nor any instructions on what to set the SMART DIALING to when there are 3 area codes local for my city and country code shows +1. Further, while on topic here : (6) Visual Voice Mail has been turned-on and whatever visual voice mail is, never supported on any previous BlackBerry including my 9780 before this, I have it with T-Mobile and have it turned on on the BlackBerry Z10 and it too does not work.  On the positive side, I do have a work-around for BlackBerry Z10 to 2013 Toyota entune. (7) I first took a vm msg .wav file of just hello (blank will not send) and saved it on BlackBerry Z10.  The Toyota entune is LOOKING for a music and will LOCK-UP if none are found.  By giving it this, it worked on my 2013 Toyota entune for the 1st time ever.  Yeah !  It is a little frustrating every few minutes listening to myself say HELLO.  But, hey no one really notices it with all the other stuff going on NAVIGATION, radio, cell phone calls, and all the computerized alerts on 2013 Toyota even without entune. (8) What I did now was to go into Navigation and remove SYNC with MUSIC.  I accomplished that after pairing to Z10 to 2013 Toyota, by CANCELLING ALL CONNECTIONS leaving only the pairing itself.  Then, you must choose some connections in the pairing section of SET-UP within Navigation itself.  If you cannot even get to that point, try depressing on the Navigation Screen, INTERNET at which point it will allow you access to SET-UP when you see the message NO ENTUNE APP FOUND ON YOUR BlackBerry Z10.  Red-headed step-child is what we all are.  Have to help each other.  Arsen I appeciate you helping all of us.  Seems the list is about 20 who have voiced it here in this one thread.  We voice it for the 200 million BlackBerry users worldwide, all left out in the cold despite a pretty cool Z10 product. Far better than iPhone 5.  I chose phone and internet.  Internet comes back no BLACKBERRY Z10 TOYOTA ENTUNE APP.  But, at least now I don't have to hear the music HELLO and do not also have the BlackBerry Z10 LOCKED-UP with pop up message you have to say OK to 10 million times to clear and never can actually do a thing on the BlackBerry Z10 as  a result.  Cannot add an in-coming call to Contacts Z10. Cannot see name and number calling me, just the bloody number, no clue who is calling ridiculous. Cannot do diddle-e-squat on BlackBerry Z10 on Toyota entune.  No App.  Horrendous. TAGS : Z10 no caller-id name, Z10 no app Toyota 2013 entune, Z10 add call to Contacts

    best regards

    Try RS_PROGRAM_INDEX
    table compo returns. filter with type = D
    Will you please check GET_GLOBAL_SYMBOLS & RS_PROGRAM_INDEX _SOURCE
