load: class CAppletDisplay.class not found.
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: CAppletDisplay.classthat means that client jre didn't find the CAppletDisplay class.
make sure that you put this class in the right directory.

Virus scan failed Error on deploying a web application having a jar file for calling the applet on the jsp page

I have an applet application that i want to deploy on the Oracle cloud.
So i have created a jar file for the applet application and i am using this jar to call the applet on a jsp page.
But when i am delpoying my application on the java cloud, its giving me the below error:

I don't see applets mentioned in the supported features nor in the unsupported features so not sure if they are supported you would likely need to contact the operations team to confirm.

Calling applet in jsp page

i have made a line graph in applet and i want to call that applet in my jsp project's page....

In one of my project i tried to load applet using the <jsp:plugin> tag but failed. Since i had less time so i have not done the R&D instead i called the applet as
<applet id="MyApplet" code="MyApplet.class\" archive=\"MyApplet.jar\" width=5 height=3/>and it worked fine for me. You can try this method.
NOTE: My applet jar file was in the same directory of my JSP page

When I tried to call an applet in my JSP page ,it says like " java plugin not installed properly"...I don't know what is wrong with my installation.I'm using jswdk server.

A plugin is used as a substitute to the browser VM as somtimes the client browsers may not have the right version of the VM to run some components like Swing etc.
The way you handle this in JSPs is that you use the <jsp:plugin> option . Any good tutorial on JSps will give you information on this.
One place to start would be:
The <jsp:plugin> directive takes care of generating all the HTML code necessary to embed and activate a Java applet. Consider the following example:

How can I use a applet in a JSP file?

I failed to use applet in a jsp file.My workspace is a BC4J type. I put the applet's source file in business component project.the jsp is in JSP project.
The jsp file calls applet by <jsp:plugin></jsp:plugin> style.
The error is can't find the applet class.

Actually using jsp applet tags does not mean that it is taking care of that the classes are available. It simply renders the Applet tag tothe JSP page. If e.g. teh codebase is specified as /java/, then there should be a mapping to the Java class location with thename of /java/. If codebase is not provided, then the Java class must be in the classpath of the JSp servlet.

Is there a way to display an applet like a table within a Jsp to display data from a Oracle DB? The thing is that I would be able to show this applet only at the click of the submit button in my html form.

Hi,
Why can't you use a Java Bean which takes the data from the database. Then call this bean from the JSP page using <jsp:useBean> tag.
Ok,if you dont want a Java Bean and if you want to use an applet in a JSP file, you will have to use <jsp:plugin>tag. Here is an example

Passing input parameters from an applet to a JSP page

Hello all,
Yes, its one of these questions which I have tried to find a solution from the already large number of postings but with no luck. I'm still a novice to Java/JSP so bear with me.
Consider this scenario.
1. An applet which has two input boxes (say First name and surname). 2. These parameters will be passed to a JSP page (so the applet will call a JSP page).
3. The JSP will have have the necessary logic (or actually a JavaBean will) to connect to a database and add a new record with these parameters (first name and surname).
I also need to consider editing/updating the record in the database. So a JSP page will connect to the database, retrieving the required record from the database and then display the parameters back in an applet in two input boxes (first name and surname) to be edited and saved again.
I have been able to develop a similar application using simple HTML forms to add and update records in a database so I'm not worried about the database connectivity simply the issue of passing parameters from the applet to the JSP page and vice versa (for edit/update).
Once i've managed to do this with input boxes, I can experiment with the other input types radios, checkboxes, select etc.

Error while calling applet from Javascript via LiveConnect and WebDriver

I am trying to call applet Java code from Javascript via WebDriver.
Given the following two cases:
- calling a static method: Integer.parseInt("42")- constructing a new object: new String("Hello world")My Javascript code looks like this:
document.appletId.Packages.java.lang.Integer.parseInt("42");
new document.appletId.Packages.java.lang.String("Hello world");When executing this code in Firefox via the Firebug Javascript console everything works fine and I get the expected results. However, when executing this code via the JavascriptExecutor from WebDriver only the call to the static method succeeds, the construction of the new object leads to the following error: "Attempt to call a default method on object with no invokeDefault method."
I don't have any idea what is going wrong here, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Calling web service from JSP

Can anyone help??
I'm trying to call a webservice from within a JSP and i havent a clue how its done,
i have my IF and Impl and Client Coded and my stubs generated and service deployed and running, but i cannot figure out how to call the service from my JSP web-app.

Its easy to call a WS from jsp what you can do is this. Think in manner that u will be keeping the client classes on a particular container, then in same container you can refrence the classes and can invoke service through a jsp..this works in my case.. it depends what kind of client do u want to create may be static or proxy or DII

Call applet methods from Javascript

If I call applet method like :

var pp = appletID.getData();
alert(pp);
It works only if applet is deployed with <APPLET> tag or with javascript.
If applet is deployed using <Object> and <embed> tags, in browser console the error is :
TypeError: appletID.getData is not a function
I couldn't find why is that behaviour. What do I do wrong?

Hi Paul,
(1)Seems to be your Java Runtime Environment path is still setted for JRE 1.3.0_01 and not for 1.3.1. So pelase go to the
Control Panel-->java plugin 1.3.1-->Advanced. Here you set the Java Runtime Environment to the JRE 1.3.1 version. Its better to remove the older version before installing the new version on JRE.
(2)<OBJECT> tag won't work for Netscape. You can only use <APPLET> or <EMBED> tag for Netscape.

Trouble with an applet on a jsp page

im developing a webapp tha have some swing applets , the problem is that the applets dont work, they appear but dont play anything, i use the jsp:plugin to load the applets on the jsp, i also have instaled the java plugin on my win xp pc, i use tomcat 5. well i hope you can help me

were are the applet classes? under WEB-INF? If so, then they shouldn't be as the server won't server files under that directory and the browser needs them
