Calling Java/ABAP Webdynpro in Adobe Interactive From

Hi,
I need to invoke a Java/ABAP Web dynpro application on click of a button in the Adobe Interactive form. I know it is done using the FormCalc script in the onclick event of the button.
Can you please help me with the script used for triggering the Webdynpro application ??

Hi Bharat,
You can use HTTP Submit button from the library to call an URL.
In property of that button define the web dynpro application URL to be called.

I need to know if the following is possible.
I have a requirement to call an ABAP WebDynpro Popup from a BSP view.
When the Popup is triggered (eg via pushbutton) the BSP will pass data to the Popup, before the Popup is closed the Popup will pass data back to the BSP to be displayed in the BSP view.
I do not want to rely on Portal Events as Portals may not be used, would really appreciate a clean simple solution.

any webdynpro application has a URL behind it. Haven´t you tried to call that URL with Javascript code ??

You can pass data to the WD application using parameters as I show you after the "?".

WebDynpro with Adobe Interactive Forms

Hello Experts,
We use Java Webdynpro with Adobe Interactive forms. We have 2 local development components. In the first development component we create a PDF and mail that PDF to client. De mode we used for PDF creation in 'UpdateDataInPdf'.
The client fills out the PDF and send it back to office by mail.
The second development components reads the mailbox and displays the PDF. The mode for this PDF display is 'UsePDF'. We use a PDF utility to transfer the data from PDF to the context. We can change the data in the PDF but is not reflected in the context. How can I fix this.

how to call java method having array as arguments from c++;
here is java code which is called from c++

suppose all jvm invocation is done...

For someone well versed in java, C++ and JNI although tedious that should be obvious.
For someone not well versed in all three it is going to be very difficult.
Even for someone that does have knowledge in all of those areas coming up with a C++ interface that reflects that functionality in a dynamic way such that anyone is will to use it is going to be quite an adventure.
At any rate to start building it you do exactly the same thing that you would in java.
1. Extract everything in the jar via the zip package
2. For each found instance extract all of the methods, return types, parameters, etc and build a description tree for each class.
Doing all of that in C++ is going to take a LOT of code. If someone wanted an estimate from me it would take me 6 months to do it. And before I would even attempt it I would get them to explain to me in detail exactly how they thought they were going to use it when I was done because I can't see any reasonable way to do that.
I left out the description tree itself. I suppose you could duplicate the entire reflection api in C++.
Now perhaps if it was much, much more constrained, like to only those classes that implement a single interface then that would be more reasonable.

When i run the standalone FM, it works fine and When called from Webdynpro its giving a dump saying an exception is raised in the class CL_GUI_SPLITTER_CONTAINER.
Can you please let me know how to resolve the issue? Your siggestions will be of great help to me.

Hi,
The FM might be calling a dialog or bringing a GUI screen up. This would cause the Webdynpro session to disconnect abruptly.
Any conversion exit, GUI screen,dialog popup, transaction handling..etc would cause the webdynpro to disconnect. So you cannot use all FM's as it is.

Calling an ABAP Webdynpro URL from ESS Overview Bizcard

Just a suggestion.If somehow you crate one more iveiw and add it to the bzcard page then i think you could dispaly both the bizcard and the other wd application on the same ui.

Searh help in ABAP webdynpro with Adobe form is flickering/blinking

All,
I have an WDA that has an interactive Adobe form for input. I'm calling the SAP standard search helps when clicked for value helps from the Adobe interactive form that opens up the search helps pop-ups in the web-dynpro style. But strangely, the portion of the search help pop-up window that is just over the Adobe interactive form is always flickering/blinking whenever something is typed or moved on the search help pop-up window. This seems to be a standard bug/issue with SAP. Has anyone encountered the same issue and have found a solution to that?

try this: sometimes any event might be calle din the backend which is overrirding your adobe form which is causing you the flickering. check it

Call a ABAP webdynpro application from a standard transaction.

Hi Gurus,
Can we trigger a webdynpro application on a click of button from a standard transaction as IW31 and pass some of the parameters?
If so, how do we do that?

Hi,
You can trigger the webdynpro application on click of a button.
construct the URL dynamically or you can use the URL of the application present in WebDynpro application(if you are sure that if this application run only in this system).
We can display the application either in standard screen using HTML control or we can also open the browser on click of a button on standard screen using the code:
call method cl_gui_frontend_services=>execute
exporting
application = 'www.google.com'
exceptions
others = 1.
For passing the parameters to the application:
1. Create the parameters in the default interface plug of the application.
2. Associate the parameters to the WebDynpro application
3. Pass the parameters to the application by appending to the URL like (&para1=abc&para2=def).

P.S. we can define the parameters in the Webdynpro component by defining the importing parameters in the default interface view's inbound plug's method. If we define the importing parameters in the inbound plug (for example DEFAULT plug of the window) then they are visible in the parameters tab in the WD application.
We can receive the parameters in the inbound plug method (HANDLE<plugname>) of the window (interface view associate in application).

Webdynpro and adobe interactive form

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement where i have to develop an interactive adobe form using webdynpro.
In the layout of a view , i created an element of type "Interactive form" and do the necessary setting.
In the properties of "Interactive form" i have "ENABLED" field, once i uncheck it and execute the application, i get the PDF but non editable mode.
Once i check this field "ENABLED" , i am not getting PDF,I only get a CROSS button on executing the application.
Can any one please help me to solve this problem.

Hi,
By default always Use 'ZCI' Layout as form layout and Choose Display type as 'native' in Interactive Form UI properties when you design and develop interactive forms using webdynpro abap.
If form layout is 'xACF', then choose Display type as 'activeX' in interactive form UI properties.
If the form is designed using xACF layout then you can run the report "FP_ZCI_UPDATE" by entering form name and choosing update radio button. This will add some script to your form that is required for using native controls.

I have the following urgent requirement, my client is implementing HR and there is a requirement, where is a ABAP Webdynpro component in which we have integrated a Adobe Interactive Form. When the user calls this from through Portal and fills out the relevant data and submits it, a Workflow in the backend ECC system should lauch,
I am not familiar with, this concept although I have worked in Workflow this is the first time I am interfacind with ABAP Webdynpro and Adobe Interactive From.
Can you please let me know in steps what needs to be done to make the workflow trigger for my scenario and also the specific settings to be done in the bacckend.

If you are using HCM Processes and Forms, the Workflow and form are not directly related, thats true.
But the method in the task calls the corresponding webdynpro application which responds to the action triggered by the user in turn to trigger the workflow and update the data in the HR Master Data.
There are 3 layers 1. UI (webdynpro which launches Adobe Interactive form based on ISR Framework)
2. Workflow
3. Backend framework (used for retrieving F4 helps, default values, save data in the infotypes).

We are doing some prototype in the solution manager box using ABAP webdynpro and Adobe Interactive Form. I created a webdynpro with a very simple Adobe form embedded in an view.

Trigger workflow from ABAP webdynpro and attach an Adobe interactive form

I have a need to create an ABAP Webdynpro that will upload a completed Adobe interactive form and then route the form to multiple approvers thru workflow. I am having trouble finding any documentation or examples of passing the Adobe form in the workflow. Do I have to save the content of every field on the form to an internal table and then have every workitem call an ABAP webdynpro to render the form? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Calling WD ABAP from WD Java

Hi,
I am trying to access a Web Dynpro for ABAP application(which in turn opens a Adobe form) from a click of button in Web Dynpro for Java application.
I also need to pass dynamic parameters (which will change values at runtime).
If I go for calling WD ABAP from URL I can pass the parameters by appending them in the URL, but how to call a URL on a click of WD Java application.
Can somebody please suggest me ways.
