Calling new page from Portal menus

I have created a portlet which contains a menu generated using the Menu Wizard and the LINK within this menu was populated using the popup window provided within the menu editor. Any Forms or Reports called from this menu are not generated as a new page. I have gone into the portlet repository and defined these reports / forms as an applicaton that should open in new window but it still doesn't work.
How can I get the applications that are called via the LINK in a Menu to break out into a new window without having to hardcode each LINK Menu item.

Portal menus works that way. The links open in the same page. If you want to open it in a new window
then in the menu wizard where you specify the links, call the link using javascript like this
javascript:void open('<portal_schema>.CAL_0520032153.SHOW')
or
javascript:void open('http://www.oracle.com')
This will open the calendar or the url in a new window.

I need to call a page from an iview . for that i developed a html and i gave the hyperlink to call the page.
When i click on hyperlink it is calling page but iviews are not displayed. it is showing masterhead and DLN and but iviews are not shown
Is there any soultion with out solution to display the iviews. i Appreciate if you help at the earliest.

Did you build your hyperlink using "NavigationTarget"?

When I try to create a new page via File>New>Page from Template, I get the error message saying it is nested inside itself. How do I get around this?

Is it possible to call an Oracle Forms from OAF page?
I need to call a OAF page EAM material cost screen from oracle form using personalization.

yes, its possible to call oaf page from oracle forms.
This has been specified step by step in Developer Guide. Refer it for more.

How to Create HTML page from portal

Hi
I have a requirement to create html pages from portal.
There will be an author who can choose document type as HTML
and then he will write html codes on saving it should be saved as HTML doc in UCM.
and publisher should be able to display it on portal(may be using content presenter).
please help me in this. I know there is rich text editor task flow which can save a doc as doc file.
and in spaces we have option of creating HTLM file but i don't know how to do it for my portal.

A better way would be to create the page using approach in this blog:

That way the page can be edited inline and the html author need not upload html to ucm everytime.

I CAN'T GET THE "WHATS NEW" PAGE FROM COMMING UP FIRST. I CHANGED THE HOME PAGE IN THE PREFERENCES, IT DIDN'T HELP...

host('c:\program files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe http://server/page.jsp');
There a disadvantage indeed: you have to close the browser before you can return to the form.

Create new page from template

I created a page, and saved it as a template. I want to
create a new page from the template (creating more pages for the
same website). When I select file > new > page from template,
the list contains <no sites>.
How do I get the page and / or template I already created to
be in a "site" so it shows up on the list. Couldn't find this in
the help file.

So where is the correct location?
I created the folder for this site when I first created the
html page. This is the folder I mentioned. This site folder was
created inside the Documents folder, I believe by default.
As I mentioned, on the first try, I just let it save the
template to this same site folder, which is what it suggested by
default, and it has been there ever since.
I only created my own "templates" folder as an experiment
after your first suggestion. I have now renamed it "Templates"
(upper case T) and the template is still not found with File >
New> Page from Template.
Sorry I am not sure if I understand exactly what you mean by
"A folder in the root of the "local site folder"". Is this the same
as or different from the site folder I created and saved the html,
css, and image files to? (which is in Documents) If different,
where can I find it?
I searched my system for ALL folders named Templates, and
found none that I believe could be associated with DW. Is this in
appdata or hidden location?

The best approach would be to change the behavior of your site so that it includes index.jsp as one of the default files. Typically that is done using the upper-level control files of the site. Here's a link from Sun that describes their approach.

Actually, you don't say what type of webserver you're using, so it's really hard to guess. But if you were using an Apache webserver, you might want to review the "DirectoryIndex" directive here...

No data found exception when calling a new page from existing page

hi i have a screen which has a delivery id and i am calling a new page with a different view object and a application module.I need to pass this delivery id in the main page to the view object query in the second page.
i have defined the second page view object with the following query
select country,address1,address2,address3,address4,city from hz_locations where location_id=
(select ultimate_dropoff_location_id from wsh_new_deliveries where delivery_id=:1)
what i want is to pass the delivery id in the main page to :1 in this query.
i have written the following CO code for the second page

can some body please help me to correct this one.
the exception i got is
oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: No data found for region (/xxt/oracle/apps/AK/om/webui/deliverydetailpg).

Provide the complete error stack.
From the current error line it shows that your custom region/page /xxt/oracle/apps/AK/om/webui/deliverydetailpg is not present in the MDS. Did you use xmlimport to set the page xml into MDS? If yes, use jdr_utils package to confirm it is present at the right location.

Iview calls new Page on Content Area

Hello Everybody,
I have a Page with 3 Iviews on it, and would like that an Iview call a new Page.
Wich means, I have Iview 1,2,3 on Page A and if you trigger a link on of these Iviews a new Page B should be loaded.
All I got is that the Page loaded in the Iview itself. Is there an opportunity to change that behavior, to call a Page B from an Iview that reloads the content area with a Page B?
