    Please help !!

    Hi,
    I tried the way suggested by Anil in the above link as well today, but still am getting the same error while openning the pdf .
    Dont know why it shows error that either the file is not a supported file type or because the file is damaged.
    Please suggest way to solve this error or some other way of calling xml report from OAF page.

  • Call operating system services from Jdeveloper

    How can i call operating system services from Jdeveloper ?
    null

    We do not use JDeveloper but use external procedures/routines called from the database. Then you can call a database procedure to an operating system task.

  • How to: Call a Report (9i) from JDeveloper

    Hi,
    how can i call a Report from JDeveloper and how can i create a PDF File from an available report.
    I have created both, a jsp file and a rdf file.
    Thanks
    Achim

    Hello Achim,
    You do not need to create multiple files:
    - you can create a single file from the Builder and specify 'Paper anfd Web Layout'
    - save the files as JSP
    In this case the JSP file contains the both layout Paper and Web, in this case you can:
    - edit the web source (JSP) from JDeveloper
    - use Reports Builder to edit the Paper Layout -that you can format as PDF-.

  • How to call external Perl routines from Pl/SQL - Urgent

    Available software in the Test Environment:
    1. Sun Unix 2.8
    2. Oracle 8.1.7 ( 8i)
    3. Perl 5
    Iam trying to call/execute perl scripts from PL/SQL using the DEMO_RDBMS.mk. I am able to call C scripts from PL/SQL, but actually want to call Perl scripts.
    The steps followed for for C are -
    1. Create and compile a simple C program to execute a unix command (eg., touch a file).
    2. Make a shared library of the above compiled program (object), i.e., load the compiled object module into a dynamic load library.
    3. Declare the above library in Oracle using SQL*Plus.
    4. Define a PL/SQL function or procedure to call the external routine.
    5. Test the external routine.
    The above steps run good for a C program, but step 2 fails when run for a Perl script.
    When I tried to use the following command for step 2 -
    make -f $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/demo/demo_rdbms.mk extproc_callback \
    SHARED_LIBNAME=cmd_lib.so \
    OBJS=tst_cmd.pl
    got the following error -
    ld: fatal: file tst_cmd.pl: unknown file type.
    ld: fatal: File processing errors. No output written t cmd_lib.so
    *** Error code 1
    This gives me an indication that demo_rdbms.mk does not understand/interpret Perl scripts. Going through the demo_rdbms.mk suggests the same.
    My questions is - How do we call external Perl scripts/routines from PL/SQL ??
    Do I have to get a different version of "demo_rdbms.mk" ?
    PS: The perl scripts used above (tst_cmd.pl) is error free and works as intended in the unix environment.

    Iam trying to call/execute perl scripts from PL/SQL using the DEMO_RDBMS.mk. I am able to call C scripts from PL/SQL, but actually want to call Perl scripts. Well, C is a "compiler" language and Perl is interpreted. In a sense, C is not "scripts".
    When I tried to use the following command for step 2 -
    make -f $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/demo/demo_rdbms.mk extproc_callback \
    SHARED_LIBNAME=cmd_lib.so \
    OBJS=tst_cmd.pl
    got the following error -
    ld: fatal: file tst_cmd.pl: unknown file type.
    ld: fatal: File processing errors. No output written t cmd_lib.soI guess this compiles an extproc "stub" with your object file, generating an external procedure. So the object file really needs to be an object file :-)
    My questions is - How do we call external Perl scripts/routines from PL/SQL ??I'd guess you need an embedded Perl interpreter in the external procedure.
    Not much help though I'm afraid :-/
    Cheers
    Fredrik

  • Calling Oracle Developer Report from JDeveloper

    I am using Orale JDeveloper 10.1.2. I can't seem to find a way of producing reports. I read that Oracle Reports developer can be integrated with Jdeveloper. How can I do this? I want to be able to generate reports from Jdeveloper.
    Thanks.
    Lucas

    If you want the Reports integration inside JDeveloper - you need to install the Oracle Developer Suite - the JDeveloper version that comes there has the reports integration.

  • How to call a jsp page from oaf and run in jDeveloper

    Hi all,
    I created sample jsp and then tried.
    String temp = "sample.jsp?";
    pageContext.setForwardURL(temp,
    null,
    OAWebBeanConstants.KEEP_MENU_CONTEXT,
    null,
    null,
    true,
    OAWebBeanConstants.ADD_BREAD_CRUMB_YES,
    OAWebBeanConstants.IGNORE_MESSAGES);
    It worked.
    But when i tried with one of the custom page that i downloaded from server it is giving error.
    But now i need to call that page.
    Its Code is given on below link:
    Re: how to call a jsp page from oaf
    Please help me to do this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Raj

    Raj,
    1. Hope you have placed the custom jsp page (which you have downloaded from server) under "jdevhome\jdev\myhtml\OA_HTML" directory ?
    2. Try to run the custom jsp page from Jdeveloper directly and check whether its working properly or not ?
    (i.e. add jsp page to any project in Jdeveloper then right click on jsp page and select Run xxx.jsp)
    3. If page errors out then custom jsp page seems require few parameters to run it successfully. Pass all requied parameters and test.
    4. There is no problem in the way you are calling jsp page from OAF page.
    regards,
    Anand

  • Erica Phone rep from California call center said order is placed and awaiting supervisor's approval, but NOTHING was placed and no follow up

    Erica Phone rep from California call center said order is placed and awaiting supervisor's approval, but NOTHING was placed and no follow up.  I'm very displeased with Verizon customer Service.  I guess I should expect that, given they are this giant and why should they care about 1 customer, even if its a very loyal one.
    I was told that my order for an iPhone is placed and all it need is to get an approval from supervisor for a $300 coupon off a regular priced device.  This "need supervisor's approval" apparently is how Verizon reps get people off the line and forget about any promises made.  I called to follow-up and was told that someone from the call center will call me back.  Guest What??? No one did, even after I went to the corporate store in downtown San Francisco and spoke to the store manager there.
    I guess I should lower my expectations about a company which spends billions on advertisement, but delivers empty promises.

    gvitalik - You'll need to send a Follow request (located in the upper right-hand corner of their profile page) to AyaniB_VZW that they'll have to approve.  They likewise will need to send you a Follow request that you'll have to approve.  Once you both are Following each other, then you can send them a Direct Message.

    You can make use of the constructor of the backing bean or the @PostConstruct annotation if you want to use managed properties.
    You may get some ideas out of this: [http://balusc.blogspot.com/2006/06/communication-in-jsf.html].

    Hi,
    Try doing this.Take the offset of sdata and move it into a varaiable and then check the condition in the query.
