Calling setter dynamically

Hi all,
I want to do something, but I'm not sure how to implement it in Java. I have a propertyChange method. This method is called from the client everytime a property is changed (for example a value of a input field is changed).
This propertyChange method holds two attributes. An identifier (which I use to find the business object in a model registry) and a PropertyChangeData class, this class holds the values required for the propertyChange (i.e. propertyName and newValue).
Now for the business object retrieved from the model registry I want to call the setter of the propertyName to set the newValue. So something like:
businessObject.set[propertyName](newValue); ..... how can I do this?

Call Type node not setting Call Type Dynamically By name.

I'm attempting to use the Call Type node to set a Call Type dynamically by name using the following logic:
concatenate("somestring_",userParseFromVXML("CT"),"_Q")
The userParseFromVXML is a custom function that works correctly and pulls my data out of FromExtVXML correctly. If I use a peripheral variable and use the same logic then set the Call Type node to set the call type dynamically by name using the peripheral variable it sets the call type correctly without any problems. I'm using UCCE 9.0.3 and I'm wondering if anyone else has run across this issue.

I wish I'd known about the table function before myself.
This is what my experience is now after having tested these scenarios.

Passing now (not sure what i must have been missing)
The custom function I'm using returns a string and when I created a new custom function returning a String literal it worked just fine. After doing my testing and swapping back to my original custom function I started seeing the call tagged with the correct Call Type, so I can only assume that I was missing something in the original concatenate string. The custom function I am using is as follows:

HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION not working when called from Dynamic action

Hi ,
       Senario : I would like to execute a form from dynamic action which
creates a record in 0015 (Additional payment IT) .
       I have writen the code as shown below am using FM HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION
. When i execute the program from se38 it is creating a record, however it is
not created when it is called from dynamic action..when i debugged the code in
inside the FM HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION there is a FM HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA where
they are using call dialog (statement) and
sy-oncom = 'N'   when called from Dynamic action and
sy-oncom = 'S'   when called executed directly.
I tried to change the sy-oncom to S while run from Dynamic action it created
the record.
So Can anyone explain me abt sy-oncom and how can i resolve the issue..

Why at all U want a subroutine to create a record in IT0015 through Dynamic action.There are some standard codes available to update infotypes.
Let me give U an example
14     9CON     BETRG     4     2     I     INS,0015 This will create a record in IT0015 when IT0014 is updated with Wagetype 9CON
14     9CON     BETRG     4     3     W     P0015-LGART='5400' Set wagetype for IT0015(Here U can use a subroutine call to set the wagetype)
14     9CON     BETRG     4     4     W     P0015-BETRG=P0014-BETRG set amount for IT0015(Here U can use a subroutine call to get the amount)
14     9CON     BETRG     4     5     W     P0015-BEGDA=P0014-ENDDA set the dates(Here U can use a subroutine call to set the dates)

Access/set dynamic configuration in client/server abap proxy

Hi,
I have 2 question regarding reading/setting dynamic configuration in ABAP proxies:
1) Is it possible to set dynamic configuration objects in a server abap proxy (SAP --> XI)?
When looking at the class CL_PROXY_FRAMEWORK is looks as if it is possible. This class has en attribute IF_XMS_MAIN~DY which is a reference to the class CL_XMS_MSGHDR30_DYNAMIC.
I'm not sure if I'm supposed to try and access the dynamic configuration objects via this class or if I'm supposed to use the GET_PROTOCOL method in some manner as suggested by:

Above link is for client proxies not server, and I've been unable to find any documentation on this for server proxies.
2) The same question goes for server proxies (XI --> SAP), though now I would like to set some dynamic configuration data.
This I believe should be done using get_protocol( if_wsprotocol=>ws_header ) as indicated by before mentioned link.
However in both cases I'm not sure of if it is indeed possible and which road to choose for sure. So a hint or 2 would be really nice.

Problem with a Link calling a dynamic page

I wanted to create a link calling to a dynamic page. This dynamic page displays a PDF depending on the parameter, the thing here is that I don't know how to set the bind variables or more likely how to say that the value of those variables is going to come from the link in which the dynamic page it's been called.
I have my PL/SQL code where I have this bind variables
id_dep
id_tipo
and I went to the Customization Form Display Options button and there i made them public.
now on a page i created a link with the following structure, in order to call the dynamic page and send the parameters.

well what I meant was that, see in the manage page for the Dyn Page there are some options bellow, in the one that sais Customize you can test the page, and I put there the values for id_dep and id_tipo as *11* and *25* then run the page and it opens the PDF but when I click on the link you suggested

so I don't know what's going on.... if supposedly the dyn page is receiving the same values in different way, why it doesn't work with the link? -_-

Setting dynamic text not working in AS2

I'm working on a complex file given to me by another designer
and I'm having a problem with being able to set dynamic text.
Basically, I just want to set the text of a nested instance (e.g.,
with an instance called foo and a instance inside foo called bar,
I'm using foo.bar.text = "test".) This works beautifully and as
expected in a test file. But when I move the symbols and code to
the other designer's file, nothing happens. I.e., the dynamic text
is blank.
I feel confident that I'm not making any errors (I'm using
tested code and symbols!), but I cannot think what else could be
causing the error. Mine is the only ActionScript in the entire
file.
Are there bugs with dynamic text? Could this have to do with
font substitution? I did change the fonts to Arial and "device
fonts" without effect.

Setting dynamic WHERE clause in VO

I am using JDev 11.1.2.2.0. Example Scenario : In my application, In the first page, I am choosing a location value. In the second page I have a model based VO. The where clause of the query has to be set dynamically, based on the location what I am choosing in the first page. How to achieve this?

Step 4) is when you want to call that method from a bean.
You can also drag that method (from your data control) on your page. JDev will then ask if you want to make a form of it.
When you choose for that option, you will get an input field and a button. When you fill in the parameter in that input field and then hit the button, the method will be
executed and will use the inputed value as your parameter.

Possible to set Dynamic Config from ABAP Proxy

Hi,
I know how to get and set Dynamic Config from Java/XSLT mappings and adapter modules. But I want to do this from an outbound ABAP Proxy Call (in the same way I can set the serialization context for EOIO), is that possible?
The scenario is: I have an interface; Proxy -> Xi -> ftp, with no mapping. It seems unnecessary to introduce a mapping just to set some dynamic config values for the receiving adapter which are already known at the outbound proxy call...

In the thread you mention it is shown that you can set Dynamic Config properties during an ABAP mapping. My question was if I can set these properties already in the proxy call? Or did I miss something?
Of-course I can introduce a dummy mapping in Java/XSLT/ABAP which copies the source message to the result message and sets the dynamic config properties, but I would rather not introduce a mapping if not neccessary...

OSB Dynamic service call or dynamic route and transactions

I've got the following problem in my OSB architecture for asynchronous incomming services.
OSB version is 10.3.1
ConnectionFactory is XA
Problem domain:
Dynamic service call or dynamic route within transaction boundary
Elements within transaction:
1.     JMS Queue ->
2.     Upper Proxy Service (De-queue) ->
3.     Lower Proxy Service (Canonical Service) ->
4.     Business Service (Data Service) ->
5.     Database Adapter->
6.     Database
Dynamic element
Upper Proxy Service (De-Queue) must be able to determine which Lower Proxy Service (Canonical Service) has to be called on the basis of the message taken from the JMS Queue without losing the transaction (this doesn’t work yet).
Already tried possible solutions:
•     Make a service call dynamic by setting the $inbound name attribute. This results in a this property is read-only error.
•     Use a Dynamic route instead of a service-call. This results in a loss of transaction. The message is deleted from the Queue without taking failure or success into account.
•     Use a Dynamic route with a quality of service set to exactly once in the header. This seems to be ignored, results in a loss of transaction.
•     Use a Dynamic route with an explicit reply with failure for errors. Results in a loss of transaction.
•     Use a Dynamic Publish. This doesn’t fit the required flow because it has no response.
I hope someone can shed some light on this because I'm at a total loss. I found some references in the forum to what seems to be the same problem but without definite answers. A work-around is also a viable answer.

I'll try to clarify.
Upper proxy dequeues a message.
Depending on a value of a specific tag within the message a canonical proxy service (out of 5 at the moment but this numer could increase) has to be called (and be dynamic transform transformed to the format of the specific canonical).
The canonical service must then pass the message to a database adaper's business service which is responsible for the database insert/update/read.
If something in the chain from dequeue to database action goes wrong the message may not dissapear from the queue.
Somehow a dynamic route in the message flow between dequeue proxy and canonical proxy breaks the transaction.

I have selection options for field as defined as TIME . I need to set dynamic variant for this field as
TIME should be "from"='current time-30 minutes' and "to"='24:59:59'.
This report going to run in 00 hours and 30 hours (48 times ie 24 X 2)
PS : Pl. remember this is for a SAP standard report

So i came in round away solution. Whenever program A called ( program with TIME selection input) i have called another custom program C . (This custom program will using the following function module RS_VARIANT_CONTENTS, and RS_VARIANT_CHANGE , So get the DEFAULT variant content of program A and change the variant content with LOW as current time - 30 and HIGH with 24:59:59) as preceding job.
In PI 7.01 system program A always called in JOB mode

How to call set pf-status in 4.6C system ALV report

Am calling set pf-status as
form MAIN using rt_extab type slis_t_extab
set pf-status 'MAIN' excluding rt_extab.
ENDFORM.
and giving that PF-STATUS name in FM
"REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY"
but in out put my pf-status is not calling.
Its working fine in ECC 6.0 systems.
Can any one help me regarding the same

Serious bug: call set-up problem in case of several DNS SRV records

We have a MCU that consists of two servers in cluster. We have SIP SRV DNS records that point to both servers with equal priority and weight.
All applications work nice with such setup, except from Free Jabber. Jabber is unable to set up the connection most of the time. One time the connection is successful and 5, maybe even 10 times it is unsuccessful.
For testing, we removed SIP DNS records pointing to one server. This way Jabber works much better. There are some cases when the call set up fails but in most cases it works.
Looking the logs of the MCU, we can see three different ways, how call set-up may fail. It is probably unreasonable describe the details in this forum message. Anyway, it seems to be sure that in case there SIP SRV records point to one server then Jabber is able to connect the MCU, in case the records point to two servers equally then Jabber is pricnipally unable to connect the MCU. This bug should be fixed, IMHO.
Btw, what record does Jabber follow, is it _sips._tcp or _sip._tls?

How to Change Value set Dynamically for a Parameter in Apps?

I have a requirement where i need to change the value set dynamically for a given Parameter. This goes as, I have a Concurrent Program with 4 parameters. First Parameter is mandatory Business group.Second Parameter is Warehouse. Based up on the First parameter the second parameters LoV's are displayed, the third and fourth parameters value sets are dependent up on the Second parameter value. Parameter 2,3,4 Value sets are Table type. So i Used .$FLEX$.Value_setname to retrive the LOV's
The Requirment now is that if the User doesn't enter the Parameter 2 than the Third Parameter field must be Open and he must be able to enter the Free text. In my case it is an Order Number. If the User enters the paramter 2 value than LOV's for ORder number pertaining to that Warehouse must get displayed. I've figured that this can be possible only if i change the Valuesets Dyanamically. I'm not sure if that is possible or not.
I have tried :
Using a Dummy Parameter with a new valueset(Transactable Independent) and giving Y and N based up on Warehouse parameter input.
SELECT (DECODE ( :$FLEX$.WAREHOUSE_NAMES,NULL,'Y','N')) from dual;
The default type was SQL.
Then in the 3rd Parameter i have used Case function to differentiate Y or N. The third parameter being ORder number, is a table type and derived from Oe_order_headers_all.
In the Query section i tried using dummy parameter value set to retreive the values. I was terribly Unsuccessful in doing so.
Does the above Case exists or is Doable? Please, Help me out if somone had worked on Similar thing or have any idea of standard report/program using it in Oracle.

You will probably have better luck on the eBusinesSuite forum. This is more of a setup issue when defining your LOV and program parameters than it is a SQL or PL/SQL issue.

I want set dynamic table name by parameter in sql query,just like:
select * from :tbname
but run report is error,BI P report table name is invalidation.
