Calling Synchronous process in a loop

Hi
I am facing a problem while I am tring to call Synchronous process in a loop. I am having a parent process that fetch batches numbers (list of batches) and loop for each of them and call a child Synchronous process to do some activity.
the issue here is that the output variable on the process is taking the value that returns from the first batch call and keep repeating it for all the rest batches. I tried to initialize it to null every time I am entring the loop but strangly it has been overrided with the output variable of the first batch and then for the rest it just initialized to null and not had been overriden.
any body face this before or knows about it
thanks and best regards,
Baraa

This is Arun (working with Baraa in same Company)
Let me eloborate the situvation
Facing problem while I call a Sync process from an Async process using while loop.
When I call sync child multiple times from a parent process using a While loop the response msg from child process is not correct.
Meaning for instance let say
Parent process : P
Child processes : C1, C2, C3     (assuming the loop goes for three iteration)
The expected response msg of the individual process where
C1: 10000
C2: 999
C3 :           (null)
But when I go through the audit of the parent process I could see all responses as 10000, meaning the response of the child process is not getting reflected in Parent process correctly
Whereas when I inspect individual child process response; I could see the correct values.
Note: I am using End Point Reference technique to call the child process
Any Idea.
Requirement:
Parameter: Source System Name
(this parameter decides which child to call, basically this will be the SERVICE on WSDL pointing to the child process)
A parent Async process has to call a Sync child process “n” number of times (“n” get derived at run time) WHILE loop
The parent will decide which child process to call at runtime (Dynamic call using EndPointReference)
Some thing like below:
<Set END POINT REFERENCE>
<WHILE>
Invoke Child (synchronize process)
<END LOOP>

  • Clarification needed in calling synchronous bpel process from plsql

    Hello all,
    I am trying to a bpel from the plsql function as given in the folowing link:
    http://orasoa.blogspot.com/2006/10/calling-bpel-process-from-raw-plsql.html
    I have a doubt that, what is: p_DefaultDetail ?
    and what is XMLTRANSFORM method here is used for?
    I am getting an error that XMLTRANSFORM is not detected.
    can any one provide some pointers to get it resolved.
    Thanks
    Krrish

    If you install the database you also have the option to install optional components. One of these is the xmldb (or some support for it in the database , dunno how to call it).
    So i guess you need to install this extra component and you're there (assuming Marc his reply on the question where to find the xmltransform function is correct :))

    Surely if it was the service group unassign then reassign issue then none of the calls would have worked?

    Hi David,
    While a random error is still an error it will be difficult for support to find a problem for an error which is not reproducible. It is always a faster resolution if you can determine how to provoke the error and provide those details. If we can reproduce an error on internal systems then we can fix the problem quickly and without having to access your system.

  • Response not coming back to ESB when calling BPEL process

    Hi,
    I am doing some demo,
    the actual process is, in ESB, I am reading a file and passing thsoe fiel contents to BPEL as SOAP service. In BPEL proecess, I processed the message and sending the response back to the ESB. When I deployed and check the process flow in the BPEL console, everything looks fine, I mena, it sending the response back to the ESB, where as in ESB process, I am not able to see the response.
    Is there any thing that I am missing?
    Thanks.

    Is the BPEL process a synchronous process?
    Also for performance reasons it it best to call BPEL process via the direct jca connector not SOAP.
    You do this by just selecting the BPEL process in the routing service going through the wizard. There is no need to creat a SOAP service. The good this about this is that in the ESB process it provides a link to the BPEL process.
    cheers

  • Fault policies not getting executed for called BPEL process

    Hi,
    I am facing one issue in execution of fault policy for a called BPEL Process.
    I have two BPEL Processes - BPELProcess1 and BPELProcess2.
    We have fault-policies and fault-bindings file.
    Case1 - BPELProcess2 is synchronous :-
    BPELProcess2 throws a fault of selectionFailure.
    Now this fault is defined in fault-policies and fault policy is bound to BPELProcess2 component in fault-bindings.xml file.
    But this fault policy is NOT getting executed.
    This selectionFailure fault from BPELProcess2 goes unhandled and in BPELProcess1, invoke activity gets this unhandled fault and raises a fault "remoteFault".
    This remotefault is also defined in fault-bindings and bound to BPELProcess1 component. Here fault policy bound to BPELProcess1 is working fine.
    So problem is that for called process, fault policies are not getting executed while for calling process, they are getting executed.
    Case1 - BPELProcess2 is Asynchronous
    BPELProcess2 is asynchronous. So same situation happening here. Fault policy for BPELProcess2 is not getting executed on throwing selectionFailure.
    But now here, since BPELProcess2 is async in nature, BPELProcess1 is not getting response and it is always waiting for response which is wrong.
    So how can we use fault policies in this case?
    Please suggest.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Parshant

    So that means - only fault originating from invoke activity in BPEL can be associated with a fault policy. No other fault can be associated. Even if I throw a selectionFault from throw activity, that will not be captured. Only fault from invoke activity can be associated with a fault policy.
    Please confirm.
    Thanks,

  • Problem calling BPEL process using apache axis client

    We have a BPEL process which we are trying to call from apache axis client. The problem is when we execute "call.invoke(new Object[] { xmlStr }) ", it adds an "argo" element to the message, and the xpath is unable to evaluate the message.
    We are able to call the process fron .Net and VB 6 using soap toolkit without any problem, so it seems odd we are not able to do so from apache axis.
    Here is how it should be received by the BPEL process:
    <inputVariable>
         <part xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" name="payload">
              <Request xmlns="http://e1.oracle.com/IAM">

                   <MessageDetail xmlns="">
                        <szSecondaryUoM_UOM2/>
                   </MessageDetail>
              </Request>
         </part>
    </inputVariable>
    But this is the way it is received having been sent from apache axis (notice the arg0 element) :
    <inputVariable>
         <part xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" name="payload">
              <arg0 xsi:type="xsd:string" xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/InventoryAdjustment" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
                   <Request xmlns="http://e1.oracle.com/IAM">

                        </MessageHeader>
                        <MessageDetail xmlns="">

                        </MessageDetail>
                   </Request>
              </arg0>
         </part>
    </inputVariable>

    i have created the partner link to my synchronous process which is already on the server, along with the input and output variable for dealing with that particular process...
    my input variable matches the xml schema of my synchronous process... when i expand the input variable node, i can see the elements which i'm trying to pass as the input to my synchronous server.
    HOWEVER!!! there's a problem with my output variable, clicking expand on the node, it displays nothing (basically it's suppose to be in the format of the xml schema which i have specified).. hence i cannot work with the output of the asynchronous process...

  • FBU Internal Job Queue Full for Synchronous Processing of Print Requests

    Hello All,
    We are getting a lot of errors in system log (SM21) with the
    Error : FBU Internal Job Queue Full for Synchronous Processing of Print Requests
    User :SAPSYS
    MNO:FBU
    =============================================================
    Documentation for system log message FB U :
    If a spool server is to process output requests in the order they were
    created using multiple work processes, the processing of requests for a
    particular device can only run on one work process. To do this an
    internal queue (limited size) is used.
    If too many requests are created for this device too quickly, the work
    process may get overloaded. This is recognized when, as in this case,
    the internal queue is exhausted.
    This can only be solved by reducing the print load or increasing
    processor performance or, if there is a connection problem to the host
    spooler, by improving the transfer of data to the host spooler.
    Increasing the number of spool work processes will not help, as
    requests for one device can only be processed by one work process. If
    processing in order of creation is not required, sequential request
    processing can be deactivated (second page of device configuration in
    Transaction SPAD). This allows several work processes to process
    requests from the same device thus alleviating the bottleneck.
    Enlarging the internal queue will only help if the overload is
    temporary. If the overload is constant, a larger queue will eventually
    also be overloaded.
    ===========================================================
    Can you please tell me how to proceed.

    The following messages appear in the developer trace (dev_trc) of the SPO processes or in the syslog:
    S  *** ERROR => overflow of internal job queue [rspowunx.c   788]
    Syslog Message FBU:
    Internal job queue for synchronous request processing of output requests full
    The "request processing sequence compliance" on a spool server with several SPO processes only works provided the server-internal job queue (see Note 118057) does not overflow. The size of this request queue is prepared using the rspo/global_shm/job_list profile parameter. The default value is 50 requests. However, if more output requests arrive for the spool server than can be processed (and the internal request queue is full as a result), more SPO processes are used to process the requests (in parallel), and the output sequence of the requests is no longer guaranteed.
    Solution
    Increase the rspo/global_shm/job_list profile parameter to a much larger value. Unfortunately, the value actually required cannot be found by "trial and error" because this queue contains all the incoming output requests on a spool server, not just the "sequence compliant" requests. A practical lower limit for this value represents the maximum sequence-compliant output requests for the above generated output device. If, for example, 1000 documents that should be output in sequence are issued from an application program to an output device, the queue must be able to hold 1000 entries so that it does not overflow if the SPO process processes the requests at a maximum low-speed.

  • Call agreement processing in WEB UI from ABAP WebDynpro

    Dear all,
    I have two problems:
    1) I create agreement (BUS200071, object type ZGAG) in web dynpro application. After successfull creation I want to call  agreement processing within web dynpro application or via new browser window.
    2) I managed to call Display method of BUS200071, but it didn't work good. Only the first screen of WEB UI was displayed with error message "Without access for action Display object type agreement GAG", however I tried to display agreement type ZGAG, which was created by my web dynpro application.
    Could You please help me, how to accomplish this task.
    Thank You in advance
    Martin

    Hello GopalY,
    In my experience its not possible to call OLE object in Webui. Maybe customer 3 party application will be supply some web service to handle credit card payments. I think this is the simple way to access 3party application.

  • Proxy to JBDC synchronous process

    Hi,
    The process is the following:
    SAP   -->  XI  -->  3rd Party          and back          3rd Party  -->  XI  -->  SAP
    A proxy will kick-off the process synchronously where XI will go and pick-up the data from tables(JDBC) at the 3rd Party. As the records are picked-up, so we will update the records with an indicator to indicate that they have been picked-up, so that they are not picked-up again the next time around. XI will then attempt to deliver the data to SAP.
    The question is the following, On the way back to SAP, ie: the leg from XI to SAP, if there is a break in communication and XI cannot deliver to SAP, remembering that it is a synchronous process, the message will "error" in XI, which cannot be restarted in XI. What happens to the records in the 3rd Party system that were marked as picked-up. Does the process "roll-back" and unmark the records in the 3rd Party system?
    If not, we have a problem and how does one overcome this?
    Thanks,
    Leanne

    <i>Does the process "roll-back" and unmark the records in the 3rd Party system?</i>
    According to the standard behaviour, "roll-back" does not occur.
    U may configure alerts wherein if the SAP system is down, an alert would be raised and the user at 3rd Party system is notified that the following records are in error

  • Process chain that loops itself

    Hi experts,
    I have a process chain here that will be triggered by event, and at the end of the process chain it will trigger the same event so that the process chain will loop itself.
    But I have a problem here, I need to run the process chain only on working days (Mon - Fri), and I have a factory calendar for it.
    However, if the process chain is triggered by event, I cannot restrict it by factory calender.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Ivy

    hi,
    Create a new chain which is scheduled daily and in it add ABAP program to if the process chain (loop) is still active, if it is not then check the factory calendar and raise the event if it is a working day. In case of active run do nothing.
    The process chain with loop can have the existing variant where it is triggered by event. In the loop chain add the program to check the working day from calendar and only raise event if it is.
    This way the loop will also be maintained and the chain would stop on a non working day and automatically be triggered on the next working day.
    regards,
    Arvind.
