Camera button on lock screen locked

My phone updated yesterday and ever since then the camera button the lock screen won't go away. Unlike everyone else I have no problem getting the camera to appear - I can't get it to go away! There are two lines above and below the camera button and it won't go away no matter what. Any help would be appreciated!

It cannot be deleted. It is there. That is the way it is. You can provide feedback to Apple here www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html if this is something you would like to suggest they change.

  • Camera button not working from locked screen.

Recently I tried to take a photo from my locked screen. Usually I just double click my home button and the camera pops right up and I can take a picture. This time though, the camera icon does pop up, but when I go to click it the camera icon just "jumps" and will not open the camera option. It's very annoying for when I just want to take a picture, now I have to go through the motion of unlocking my phone and going to the camera. OH, also on the locked screen, the camera icon has two lines, both over and under it.
How can I fix this, is it in the settings somewhere?

Touch the camera icon and scroll all the way up. You do not have to double click the home button.

  • Media Player button recognition when screen locked

Does anyone else think that it would be useful to have access to some Media Player functions when the screen is locked? I would like to not have to unlock the screen to increase volume, skip tracks etc. I would love to see the volume and maybe camera button be usable by the Media player when the screen is locked. The volume button could adjust volume and if "double clicked" skip tracks in either direction.
If people know how this can be achieved that would be brilliant. If, as I suspect, it may require the developers to update the application, then presumably I should suggest it to maemo.org?
Thanks for any insight you can provide.

The camera is usable, if you slide the lens cover back the camera launches even if the device is locked.
I agree media functions would be useful, but i can't see it being implemented without being problematic i.e. accidentally doing things in your pocket. I think a nice workaround is the headphones with skip track and volume adjustment on the lead

  • Mute button v.s. screen lock

The screen lock button on the side was changed to mute button after upgrade the system to iOS4.
But I want to have screen lock button and I found the mute function is useless.
Who can tell me how to change it back to stop screen spinning?
    thanks.

You can't change it back, but you can 'stop screen spinning' by using the re-positioned screen orientation lock.
Double tap the home button, swipe to the right, and there you will see it on the left hand side.

  • Camera button on home screen no longer opens camera ?

When I doube tap the home button to use the camera from the home screen, it sort of 'hops' up about 1/2 a cm, but then bounces back down without opening the camera app, this is only since the upgrade to 5.1. I tried a hard reset, but no joy (and no shortcut to the camera either!!) Is it just me or is anyone else having this issue ?
*edit* figured it out, its now a slide motion upwards.....

You should have seen all the questions when they first added the shortcut to the lock screen. No one could figure out how to use it as it required a double tap to make it visible.

  • No camera icon on the lock screen, and the setting is grayed out?

I got my S4 a few days ago, and I've been setting it up, finding my comfort zone with widgets and app icons and so forth.  I note that I'm supposed to be able to launch the camera app directly from the lock screen, but the option under Setting, My Device, Lock Screen, Lock Screen Widgets for "Favorite apps or Camera" is turned off and grayed out.  Is this option only available if I disable secure locking, i.e. allow anyone who picks up the phone to use any function without face recognition, PIN, pattern, or password?  Or is it disabled by some other setting I haven't found?

Right, I found that.  Unfortunately, I can't readily switch back and forth between "no security" and "face unlock", because all my "improve face recognition" seems to be lost when I set any other security method; the phone returns to not recognizing me every time the light changes or I put on my hat or I wear my safety glasses at work.  Given I don't want just anyone who picks up my phone to be able to use all functions (i.e. spend my money on apps, burn up my data plan, etc.), I'll have to settle for being required to unlock before I can take a picture.

  • Screen lock after updating to 8.2 (12D508) on iPad 2

    Hi,
I have just updated my iPad 2 with 8.2 (12D508) and the screen is now locked in the portrait position. I have tried some work arounds e.g holding down both the on/off button and the Home button, toggling the screen lock on and off but to no avail. I have not had this problem with previous updates.
    Any suggestions?
    Many thanks

  • Remove Music Widget on Lock Screen

Since upgrading to 4.3.3 today, I cannot remove the music widget from my lock screen.  I've made sure the app is not open, closed all running apps, and restarted my phone. Any suggestions?

If you'd rather not have a Lock on your screen you could go into settings >> security & screen lock, screen lock then choose none.. then when you tap the screen it will be at your home screen..

  • Where is the camera button on the lock screen?

That was the big point of the camera beyond increased megapixels.

If you double-click the home button while on the lock screen it pops up on the bottom right-hand side.
