Campaign response - email campaign

Hi friends,
I have this question regarding the campaign functionality - campaign response in CRM 5.0
when we customize our mailform and select the tracking option track via target site (++), we give a particular URL.
as per my understanding when the reciever clicks this URL the response is monitered and displayed at the destination -
CRM marketing > marketing planning and campaign management > display marketing contact list.
at this destination there is a head no. of accesses per Business Partner and the responses are monitered here.
Now in our project scenario if we test this functionality in the above explained manner the no. of accesses do not change even after the process cycle is completed.
Is there an external response recorder that needs to be installed or SAP has an inbuilt recorder which needs to be configured.
Please respond considering the above campaign scenario or if response monitering is possible in an alternative manner.

Here are the answers to your question.
1) I tried doing it the similar way but i have one confusion do i actually need to add ++ after the url or to type the url and choose the tracking via target site (++) option?
The standard way of adding this Tracking Id is (Assuming you have created a Text Node which is of the type HTML) You click on the Maintain URL Button, Enter the URL, Enter the descp of the URL that you want to show as on the Personalized Mail Form when sending to the BP, Then select the option Tracking via target site (++) and confirm.
Once you do this the tracking "++" is already added to that URL that you have mentioned.There is no need to add ++ again at the end of the URL.
2) second thing is the response id option. when i choose the insert response ID option in the mail form, there is no change in the mailform will you please assist how to actually insert this response ID and what is the meaning of :
Prerequisites
You have created the text node in which the response code is to be included
The above pre-req tells that in order to insert a response code you need a text Node while creating the Mail Form.
There are some issues with this response id and SAP has provided some notes to fix them.Please check SAP Note 1015215 and if this does not fix the issue then i would recommend you to get in touch with SAP.

Using reflow for responsive email design

I've just started looking at reflow and wondering whether it can be used to create responsive emails, and it of can, whether anyone has any tips.
(Looks to me like it can, but will need to keep the design simple, then export the html, then make changes to the code to make it cross client-client compatible.)

Well, I was thinking that either the option provided by my esp (Campaign Monitor) would do the job, or a tool like this might work: http://zurb.com/ink/inliner.php
I'm thinking it's only the css that applies to the larger viewports and browser-based clients that needs to be brought inline - from what I understand, support for css on mobile email clients is pretty good.
I haven't delved too deeply, but from what little research I have done, reflow looks like by far the most intuitive way to design a page that is both fluid and responsive - the million dollar question is whether it'll be too time consuming to convert the end result into something that is cross-client compatible (or whether it is even possible).
I've tried asking adobe the question via every route possible, and so far, it seems the product is unsupported (the tech helpline said the forum is the only support offered, and nobody from Adobe seems to be answering in the forum!

How do I include the subject from an email in the body of a response email?

First off, let me apologize if this is addressed somewhere else in the forum. I searched used many different variations on the theme, to no avail.
So, yes, I am a former PC/Outlook user who made the "switch". For the most part, I couldn't be happier. However, one thing that I have been searching and searching for an answer on is: including all the info from an original email (i.e. subject, to, from, date) in a response email. Because wording this is a bit tricky, I am going to show what I mean by example.
Apple Mail includes the original email info like this:

Outlook (and most other email services) includes the original email info like this:

Hello, and welcome to the Discussions.
I use the Append Selected Messages feature to do this. Prior to clicking on Reply, you can highlight the smallest amount of text, and then delete that text, and then Append the message by having Selected in in the list of messages.
You can do this for one, or many messages. With a Reply, you would only append the one message. See:

Forms (displaying all code on response email)

Hi guys,
I've recently been using the new forms feature but have an issue!!
When someone sends an enquiry via my website,
the response email I get displays correctly on my mac but not on pc or webmail? any suggestions please?

The mails which are sent as notification e-mails are in HTML format.
Probably the mail client on your PC is not able to render the HTML (might be some settings that you need to check in your mail client).

It is always a bad idea to send documents by email; they can easily get damaged, lost, or misdirected.
Better use a file sharing service like Acrobat.com, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc., then share the link with the recipient(s).

Automatic Response Emails

I have automatic response emails set up for my Adobe Forms. These are embedded in my website. I was receiving email confirmations, and now this afternoon, I am not. The forms are open, the appropriate boxes are checked, I have not changed anything from before. Email address entered correctly multiple times, emails are not in junk folder. Please help! My site is going live Monday...

Users are receiving the invalid response email from the Workflow mailer

Hi All,
The problem we are getting in the workflow is that when a user receives a response notification and the user responds to it then the user are receiving the invalid response email.
The error in the email sent back is
Error Message : Ora-01001 invalid cursor
Error stack: &MAIL_STACK_ERROR
I am unable to replicate the issue in test instance so that we can try to find some solution.
Please can some one help me out it is really a high priority for us currently

This does not happen for all the responses, it happens with some responses but it continues to happen untill we bounce the workflow services.
Regarding the conditions under which this is caused we are not sure of it, if we know under what coonditionns this happens then may be we can try for the solution.

Survey response email parameters

hello,
how can I find out what the address is where the response of a survey have to go?
The answers of the survey don't receive the survey evaluation.
In the xml parameters of the survey repository. where in the system can I find that address for the mailto-parameter?
Are there other reasons why I don't get a response?

Hi Tobias,
When you sending a survey to a customer just append ++ at the end of the URL in your mail form. It is the tracking ID.
Also ensure that the Survey settings have checkbox, Evaluation with and without Business information Warehouse Ticked (Tcode: CRM_SURVEY_SUITE)
If you are sending survey via campaigns, ur survey should be craeted in the Marketing Application.
For every response which comes from the customer an Activity of trnasaction type 0000 gets created. Also if u check in transaction CRM_SURVEY_SUITE, there is a button called Evaluation click on that after selecting ur survey, it shall also show u the response.

Accessing the sender file name in the response email

Hi,
I have an asynchronous proxy scenario wherein I am calling an outbound proxy within an inbound proxy.
Basically a file is sent from an external partner and response is sent back to them if there are any errors. Also email notification will be sent and that email should include the sender file name so that they can know which file is erroneous and can resend that file after making changes. Any help will be appreciated.

I suppose your flow is:
1. File -> PI -> proxy_req     (request)
2. proxy_resp -> PI -> Mail   (response)
Thanks to "Adapter-Specific Message Attributes" ofr a Sender File Adapter, you will be able to store filename in DynamicConfiguration and then you will able to use a UdF to catch the source file and provide it somewhere in your proxy_req.
After for the returned flow "2. proxy_resp -> PI -> Mail   (response)", your proxy_resp has to returned to PI the filename providen with the 1st step.
And then, In PI you will be able to send by email the source filename.

Response email address is different from my offici...

I've responded to an email from BT which has an incident number. My reply got an automated response saying it had come from an unrecognised email address.
My email address is in the format *@btinternet.com, but when I reply the system replies from *@btopenworld.com.
I've been aware that I'd got these 2 email addresses but assumed that they would be treated as one and the same, but apparently not.
I'm still on BT Yahoo Mail and I assume that I will be transferred at some future date and this may resolve the matter, but is there anything I can do in the meantime?
I eventually responded from my Windows Live Mail account this morning and, as far as I can tell, that has not been rejected.

On some of my BT Yahoo accounts, I have a 'BT Yahoo Mail' with the btinternet address, and a 'BT Yahoo Mail - Extra Address' with the alternate btopenworld address with the option to use it as the sending account. I think the extra address does not appear on some of my accounts because I may have deleted it in the past.

I have a program which sends email messages to recipients. I need to get an autoresponse when the recipient views the email

And before you make this question an important part of your system's design, just be aware that some servers do not send a response telling you that the user has viewed the mail, even if you ask for one.
A common way of handling this question is to send HTML e-mails and include in them a link that appears to be a link to an image, but that actually requests a servlet that logs the fact that the user is viewing the message before returning the image. But you should be aware that users consider this to be creepy and intrusive behaviour, and it's the reason that many mail clients will disable HTML, or disable images or links, unless the user overrides that. Basically there's a strong feeling among people that it's none of your business when or whether they open your mail.

Please if someone could help, that would be greatly appreciated.
So my company uses these forms ( a total of 10) for different purposes when getting new resellers for our manufacturers. With a few of these forms our manufacturers want a copy of the new applications sent to them
We have created them accounts and they recieve notifications by email just as we do. The only issue is we wish to get rid of the banner on top that says "Adobe Forms Central". The issue is we do not want our manufacturers to see we are using an outside source, no matter how well it works.
Please if anyone has experience with this let me know. I am attaching a screen shot of the banner in case I am not using the propper term.
