Can a pdf presentation be converted to a format for a dvd to play on TV?

Acrobat Professional 8.1.2
I have a whole series of pdf presentations containing 80 to 200 images each. I need to be able to put this information onto a DVD such that Joe Public can view it on a TV. Clearly I could not rewrite every presentation. Is there any way of converting the pdf's to a format suitable for use on a DVD and playable on a TV?

download the images from the camera they seem to only be in jpeg (I don't
see any rw2 or raw files to download). If I select the jpeg file it seems
to only download a jpeg file. I do understand that I do have the option to
open the jpeg in RAW. In doing this, is all the extra information included
in the RAW file there or is it lost coming from the camera

Problem sending pdf files to convert to Word format

When I try to send a pdf file to be converted to Word format, I keep getting error message. "Unable to send" What's the problem?

Can I use iTunes to convert m4a to mp3 for use on my car stereo

I would like to burn a playlist to a CD for playing on my car stereo. If I use the default audio option, the CD sounds terrible, so I guess I need to select the mp3 option instead. When I do that, however, I'm told that my files are in m4a format and need to be in mp3 format instead. Can I use iTunes to convert m4a files to mp3, and if so, how? I wish to retain the songs in my iTunes so I suspect I need to make copies of the original and convert the copies, but I don't know how to do this either.

Converting mts to format for Imovie

Still trying and trying to find an answer. So I have tried http://www.iskysoft.com/topic-mts/convert-mtsm2ts-files-to-imovie-on-mac.html which says it will convert it to a version for imovie so I downloaded trial so that I could try it. TOok an mts file Converted it to the version for imovie. Tried to drag and drop it into imovie. Nope wont do it. Tried converting it to the MPEG format in this trial version nope wont drag and drop into imovie either.
Im willing to buy a converter but want to make sure it will work. Have found nothing thus far that I can figure out how to convert an MTS file to a version that can be dragged and dropped into Imovie.
Sigh so frustrated by this.
I have mts video files on my desktop in a folder. Which I had taken from camera. They are no longer on my camera so I cant download directly into imovie. Trying to figure out how to convert them to a format for imovie and have tried several trials another of those being wondershare.
Maybe I am just slow but have had no success so far.
I have spent literally hours so far tonight trying to solve this problem.

mts doesn't need a 'conversion' just a re-wrapping.
two options
• ReWrap2M4V - google for it, it's a free automator script; to make it run, you have to install two other items, basically to get a functioning installtion of the ffmpeg package - sounds tricky, just follow installtion advices, easy. re-wraps any mts within split-seconds
• AVCCAM - is a QT-plugin provided by Panasonic; it teaches any QT-based app to handle mts; after DL in installation, use most popular tool Mpeg Streamclip to open your mts; then, without any settings nor conversions, goto 'save as' and choose mov.

Converting PAL to NTSC for a dvd

I have a quicktime PAL movie that I want to burn to a dvd to send to the US as NTSC.
It's just a short movie using 720 x 576 size and 25 fps.
When I set up iDVD it warns me just before burning that I am trying to burn an NTSC dvd using a PAL format media and I don't know if this will result in a poor quality or an unplayable movie.
Can anyone please advice how to change the PAL movie to NTSC in Compressor so that I can make a good quality version of the PAL file into an NTSC file?

Just going from iMovie (PAL) to iDVD (NTSC) does work BUT VERY BAD RESULT
I do.
• In iMovie Export out as QuickTime full Quality QT.mov file
• Use JES_Deinterlacer - Google it - It's FREE
• Here I open the QT.mov and let it convert to NTSC - VERY GOOD - and save with a new name
• Open iDVD and make a NTSC project
• Now import the converted movie
• Burn
To make sure that it plays well in US I also do.
• Secure a minimum of 25Gb free space on internal boot hard disk - Others not interesting
• I use Verbatim
• I use DVD-R (no +R or +/-RW)
• I set in iDVD pref/Advance/burn speed down to x1
This has worked for me and been confirmed from sunny Calif.

When I make iMovies and copy to disc, they record fine for my computer but I can't get them to play on my DVD for televison. Is there a standard format for most DVD's and if so what is it.

Converting QuickTime to format for Windows Media Player

I have some QT movie clips on my Mac that I need to play on a PC which does not have QuickTime installed. The computers I need to use these movies cannot have QT installed on them because my employer does not support QT, only using Windows Media Player.
So, how do I convert the QT clips I have on my Mac in to something that will play on a PC Windows Media Player ? Is it possible? I'd like to convert them, put them on a CD or DVD and then play them on the PC using Windows Media Player either from the CD/DVD.

You could use Flip4Mac with iMovie. Which you probably have. It's easiest with QuicktimePro though.

The Flip4Mac series are all plugins that work in other programs QuickTime based programs.
You'd open your MOV file in iMovie for example and use the Share export feature Advanced and save as WMV. It'll ask you for settings which depends on what you're actually using the WMV for (broadband, dial up, play from a PCs hard drive).

How do I save highlighting in .pdf file when converting to .docx format?

When I try to convert a .pdf file to .docx format the highlighted words are not visible through the highlighted area. Just blocks of color with no words showing through apear in the converted file:

I created the .pdf file on an iPad using the PDF expert app, uploaded it to Dropbox, downloaded it from Dropbox on a PC laptop, and converted it to .docx. Above is the result. When the .pdf file is opened with Adobe reader the highlighting is as it should be (words are visible through highlighting)

Once you convert the songs to MP3, you need to add the newly converted MP3 to a playlist then burn this playlist.
When converting, iTunes actually makes a new file. It does not convert the original file to a new format.

Converting 2 large .movs for quality DVD play

I need specific advice for converting a 3.6 GB (created from Final Cut Pro) .mov
and a 1.2 GB .mov (created from AVID) to a somewhat smaller file that contains good quality and can be viewed from most consumer computers.
Because the .mov files are so high quality (footage captured from HD cameras) playing the files alone on quicktime slows down even on a fast computer. when i drag it to IDVD or dvd studio pro, it downgrades the quality, i do not understand how to change the preset.
how should i go about converting these monster files? should i use compression?

Since DVD video is a standard definition format, you should naturally expect some degradation in quality when starting with a high definition source. That's the nature of the beast.
In DVD-SP, you could make an HD DVD, but that format is essentially dead since Toshiba lost the format war with Sony's Blu-ray. Only later model Macs and a couple of (now obsolete) Toshiba HD DVD player will play HD DVD formatted discs.
Your other option for optical disc delivery is to burn a Blu-ray disc. You can do that in a limited fashion using FCP or Compressor ... or use Toast 10 Pro or Adobe Encore to author and burn the BD. Of course, you will also need a compatible Blu-ray burner.

Convert mov to format for non-mac family members!

I have 2 short videos that I need to convert so that non mac family members can view them. (I know, I should disown them). How do I do this? When I go to export and it appears that I am saving as jpeg, it doesn't work. Is jpeg only for stills?

JPEG is an image format.
Any modern machine can run the free QuickTime Player app and use it to view your iMovie exports.

Heres the situation I have that way, with any luck, you'll understand what and I am trying to do (and hopefully tell me it's a rather easy process): I have a friend that has a bunch of skate videos available for download on his personal web page....turns out those downloads are .mgp and they play through Quicktime. Now what I want to do is take those said videos and make them into a DVD I can watch in any player. Is this possible with Quicktime, iDVD, or anything else that came standard with my new Macbook or do I need another program? Sorry, I'm a new Mac user.
