Can an Azure VM Query Its Cloud Service Namd and Public IP Address

Is there some way to write a script or application that would run on an Azure VM and could query to find out the DNS Name (externally visible hostname) for the VM and the external/public IP address?
I started looking at Azure Extensions, but it looks like they're intended to be run from a management system somewhere, rather than being initiated by code on the Azure VM. Correct me please if this is wrong. I'm dead new to this area, never looked at Azure
until yesterday.

You could not directly query the cloud service name and public IP from one azure VM. Base on my experience, you may need add the service management API cert to your VM and call the Service Management APIs (

What are Azure limitations for Websockets in Cloud Services (web and worker role)?

A WebSocket Server should be built on Azure platform with OnPrem connections and have questions regarding limitations for Websockets in Azure Cloud Services - web and worker roles.
Websockets can be configured for Web Sites and limitations are understood, but Azure Websites is not an option.
Nevertheless it is planned to run a web service (without UI - no web site) as a Cloud service which has secure websocket (WSS) connections to OnPrem machines. Websocket protocol is enabled for IIS8 on Cloud services web and worker roles. Azure Service Bus Relay
is not an option.
Questions:
1) Are Websockets supported for Azure Cloud services web and worker roles? we assume yes
2) What are potential limitations from Azure side to support concurrent Websocket connections? We are aware that CPU, memory etc are limitations, but are there additional limitations from MS Azure side?

As I know, azure cloud service web and worker role support Websockets, users can connect to the role via the special endpoint, if we use Azure cloud service, I think we can monitor the metrics such as CPU, memory, etc... and scale our cloud service via these
metrics to keep the websockets working, refer to

I need to create a query with web service data control, in WSDL, it's query operation, there is a parameter message with the possible query criteria and a return message contains the results. I googled, but cannot find anything on the query with web service. I cannot find a "Named Criteria" in web service data control like normal data control. In Shay's blog, I saw the topics on update with web service data control. How can I create a query with web service data control? Thanks.

How can I test that the ITS is setup right and working?.
At present when calling a CRM transaction (BOR object) via the Nav Bar of the Webclient IC I am getting a message box with the title of 'Message from Webpage' and the content saying 'Object expected'.
I have re-checked the transaction launcher and navigation bar profile setting and these look okay, hence my question regarding the ITS and how we might test that its functional.

I assume that as I also have a call to a URL (website), which is working fine, then the ITS servicer is also working fine.
That just leads me to know identify why my BOR object is not being called correctly.
Within the Transaction launcher I have the following settings:

You can set the form title (the text that appears in the Browser tab/Window) in the Form Setup dialog. With the form in question open in FormsCentral for editing, click on the Form Setup button in the toolbar. In the resulting dialog set the Form Title to the text you want.

Does VZ still have a back up to the cloud service? and if so How can I find out if I am enrolled? And if I am, what all is backed up?

Verizon still has a backup to the Cloud service. Its included in the more everything plan and most other plans have at least 5GB of storage. You could find out what features you have on your account in My Verizon. Log in and look at apps and features and programs. Alternatively, if you are using an Android phone and some others, you can use Google Gmail to backup contacts and Google Drive to backup all other files pics music and videos. You can also back up your content to your PC. DropBox and OneDrive are other alternatives with storage space. Gmail gives you 15GB and OneDrive 15-30GB.

How do I configure Azure to let my cloud service make an outbound API call

My cloud service works locally when I debug it, but when I deploy it, I know it has database access because database updates are taking place.
It seems like the service is not able to call make calls to the Yammer API on port 443 for SSL (is that right?)

Azure VM Web Servers, Cloud Service and SSL?

I am deploying two web servers in a cloud service for load balancing. I have tested and I have that working with no problems. My question is how do I setup for SSL? Do I setup a certificate on the cloud service? Do I setup on each server? Any help would
be greatly appreciated!!

You can only access the Store of that country your account is registered for. Did you buy the apps using the same account? If you have a billing address registered in Australia, you can't buy in the US Store.
Can you update the apps in iTunes on your computer?
Did you log into your iTunes account and check your info?

Because of update domains, if you have more instances for your roles, each role's instance that is part of one update domain will be updated during that update domain's update, so there is absolutely no downtime.

ExactTarget Cloud Services Configuration and CQ5.5

I am currently running CQ5.5 sp1 and there is no ExactTarget Cloud Services Configuration. Does anyone know how to integrate ExactTarget on CQ5.5 sp1? Is there a package I need to install or a some java I need to implement?

AFAIK there is no FP for 5.5 for such configuration. I have placed the documentation (DOC-3411) update request.

Can a OIM User enter its own Security Qns and provide Answers to the same?

Is there anyway we can allow a user in OIM to provide its own security questions at the time of self registration? If so how we can achieve that?

As Kevin suggested it is totally Customization.
In OIM first time while setting QA it brings the question from Lookup but after that it reads from the PCQ table only.
So as you want that User should be able to set his own Questions then no need of any Lookup *(APMK)*. You can build your custom JSP to enter Questions as well as Answers and send these data to PCQ table. It should be in Encrypted Format.
Next time when User Logs in it wil fetch the questions from PCQ table and validate the answers from that. So no need of Question Lookup.
Question Lookup we use because we want to show same questions to everyone and it is configurable and we can change the questions as per client requirement.
In your case your user are entering there own questions.

Can i cancel restore while its on downloading stage. and i did cancel it, it affect my iphone?

How can I get iMessage to recognize my phone number AND my email address?

I used to get imessages using my phone number. Then my iphone screen broke and I ended up buying a new one. Now when I restored my iphone, the imessaging only recognizes my email address (the one connected to my apple id) and not the phone number. The phone number shows up as a lighter type font and can not be selected. I made sure this number is part of my apple ID but that did not help. I have deleted and restored the account twice.
The imessage is working but only using the email address.

i signed out of both imessage and facetime on my computer and iphone. (i actually wasnt signed into my account on my iphone)
but i did sign in on my iphone
i then made sure that my tel number was the only button ticked
then once that was sorted i went back to my computer and signed in to both imessage and facetime and my number was now an option.
i made sure it was ticked and all was ok.
i think my problem occured from when i done a "reset all settings" ... i only done this reset because my keypad on my iphone was sticking and that was a solution to sorting that.
