Can anyone decipher the debugger report on why 14.0.0.1 won't run in Facebook on IE9 under Windows Vista?

I have Windows Vista and have been using Facebook on it for several years with no problem.  Recently, it will not run videos.  I have installed FlashPlayer 14.0.0.1 and it tests out fine.  Videos run fine directly from youtube.  All I get is a black screen for the identical video in facebook.
I installed the debugger program and it gives the following report on errors every time facebook comes across a video.
An Action Script Error has occurred
Error: Error #2134: Cannot create SharedObject.
at flash.net::SharedObject$/getLocal()
at silvercity.player::AbstractPlayer()
at silvercity.player::ProgressivePlayer()
at silvercity::VideoPlayerApp/setupNewPlayer()
at silvercity::VideoPlayerApp/setup()
at facebook.display::FBAppLite/onAddedToStage()
I have installed, uninstalled,and reinstalled adobe flash player several times to no avail.
I have turned off ActiveX filtering.
I have disabled accelerators
I have checked to make sure it is listed in Manage Add Ons and is Enabled.
Sure could use some help.
Thanks.

I don't know from where you get 14.0.0.1; the current version is 14.0.0.176 (IE) and 14.0.0.179 (other browsers).
Usually the debugger helps Flash developers to debug their content, but in your case it gives us a clue: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/error-2134-cannot-create-sharedobject.html
Regarding the black screen, there is a possibility that your graphics driver is outdated; see https://forums.adobe.com/thread/945765

  • Help!! can anyone decipher this error report?

    I would be really grateful if anyone could decipher this error report. My system has become really unstable and unusable if I can get beyond the grey screen. During use I get a grey curtain come down and a message telling me to hold the power switch to shutdown.

    Many thanks guys.

    Firstly, well done for getting the crash log.
    The bit :
    +Processor context corrupt+
    +Error enabled+
    +Uncorrected error+
    +panic(cpu 3 caller 0x001A8656)...+
    I'd say is the immediate cause (kernel panic) of the shutdown.
    Apart from that, is your memory ok?
    There was an identical (is that you\?) post a while back on:

    Finally, and this is probably your best course of action: *phone apple (if you cannot get into an Apple store).* It sounds serious enough to me.
    Sorry I could not help any further. Good luck

  • Can I use the Debugger to debug why a line in UPDATE RULE gives no values?

    Hi,
    in a simple Update Rule, I had the routine below:
    RESULT = SOURCE_FIELDS-QTY.
    "( The goal was to calculate the field MyCclQTY in the cube; Routine was between ODS and Cube ):
    The cube output gave a BLANK while QTY has 300; although I expected to see 300 for MyCclQTY:
    e.g. of Cube Output:
    QTY---MyCclQTY
    300------BLANK
    In the attempt to see what is going on, I used the Debugger for the first time.
    In the update routine for MyCclQTY, I added the line break-point as follows as a booklet I am reviewing, directs:
    Break-Point.
    RESULT = SOURCE_FIELDS-QTY.
    Now when I switched to the debugging mode, I run Single Step.
    I was not too sure what to do here other than, continuously clicking on Single Step.
    When it got to the line:
       == >    catch cx_sy_move_cast_error.
    A message appeared at the bottom of the screen
    u201CException from the class CX_SY_MOVE_CAST_ERROR was caught u201C appeared at bottom of screen.
    1. Any hints on this message?
    2. On the screen in the booklet that I am review, there was a split screen with the one on the right side showing values but I could not get that on my screen. Any hints on that?
    Thanks.

  • Can anyone decipher the source of kernal panics I'm having from this?

    I've had several kernal panics lately. I got on the phone with tech support who merely directed me to reset the PRAM and sent me the email link:
    Link: http://www.info.apple.com/kbnum/n106805
    Mac OS X: "Broken folder" icon, prohibitory sign, or kernel panic when computer starts
    AFTER I specifically stated my kernal panics DID NOT happen on start up. They usually happen when the computer is not being actively used. I walked away and came back to find the latest panic on the screen after hearing the fan going at a furious rate.
    Please recommend a course of action! Hardware info is at end of kernal log. Thank you!

  • Can anyone share the query for inventory aging report

    Is there any standard reports for inventory aging in oracle ebs 12.1.3 ....... If not can anyone share the query for inventory aging report

    Hi,
    It may not be so simple as you are trying to reproduce the historical value.  I believe you have to create a temporary table first.  Or you may use Command feather to get the required data in advance.
    Thanks,
    Gordon

  • Can ANYONE spot the memory leak??

    Hi, I have some code here, and there is a SERIOUS memory leak. Basically, I realized the leak was there when a report tried to execute this 100,000+ times and it bogged the system down to a crawl. Can anyone spot the leak? I will explain the variables below the code:
    char* getDescription(char* chFlag, char* chDEID, char* chKey, int keysize)
    //first, we need to allocate new Byte arrays....
    jbyteArray JchFlag = (*env1)->NewByteArray(env1,1);
    jbyteArray JchDEID = (*env1)->NewByteArray(env1,2);
    jbyteArray JchKey = (*env1)->NewByteArray(env1,40);
    //next, we need to put the correct info in those byte arrays....
    (*env1)->SetByteArrayRegion(env1,JchFlag,0,1,(jbyte*)chFlag); (*env1)->SetByteArrayRegion(env1,JchDEID,0,2,(jbyte*)chDEID); (*env1)->SetByteArrayRegion(env1,JchKey,0,40,(jbyte*)chKey);
    getDescriptionID =(*env1)->GetMethodID(env1,myjclass,"getDescription","([B[B[BI)Ljava/lang/String;");
    result              =(jstring)((*env1)->CallObjectMethod(env1,myjobject,getDescriptionID,JchFlag,JchDEID,JchKey,keysize))  ;
        returnvalue = NULL;
        if(result == NULL)
           strcpy(holder1, "**********Error Finding Description**********");
        else { //now, we convert the jstring to a char *, so we can return the proper type...
                returnvalue=(char*)((*env1)->GetStringUTFChars(env1,result,&isCopy)) ;
                strcpy(holder1,returnvalue);
                if(isCopy == JNI_TRUE)
                    (*env1)->ReleaseStringUTFChars(env1,result,returnvalue);
    (*env1)->DeleteLocalRef(env1,result);
    return holder1;
    //return description;
    }//end getDescription function
    -myjclass is global, it gets its value in the initialization.
    -any variables that are not declared in this function are, of course, globally defined.

    Hello Friends,
    I had also tried to use the ReleaseStringUTFChars after making the check of whether it does a copy or not.
    For me in Windows, it works fine most of the time. But when I go on increasing the no. of strings in a Vector of objects to more than 500 or something , then it occasionally fails.
    Just before ReleaseStringUTF, I do have the copied string in char* .
    Soon after Releasing, I do get a junk in the character array.
    I dont know why it happens like this.
    Please advice.
    Everyone suggest ReleaseStringUTF.
    But why it fails in Windows.
    And any one know about how it will behave in Alpha.
    It totally fails in Alpha.
    I could not get the string at all.
    Please help

  • JList and ListModel, can anyone explain the basics?

    Hi
    I have an object A containing a Vector X of objects. I want to display them in a JList. I could always use DefaultListModel and copy the items of the Vector X into the default list model using addElement. But that would create a copy of the information in vector X. That is exactly why one should use a custom list model to ensure that the data is in sync with the GUI .
    I want to add and remove items from the JList, and simultaious add and remove items from the Vector X. Can anyone proviede a samll example of how to do this.
    I have tryed myselfe, but I can not get the JList updated with the changes of the listmodel. I have read the documentation about ListDataListener, but I just don't get it. A small example would realy be appreciated!

    Yse I have read the tutorial. But I don't understand it.
    Here is a small example program. Can anyone change the code so the list is updated with the canges that obviously take place (as one can see by pressing the "Dump button")

  • I was Hacked. I also found a suspect file. Can anyone decipher it?

    I know I was hacked by my ex-partner (i was pretty much told so and that I was easy to track down (i.e. my computer) through it's IP address using an old email).
    I also found a unknown file at the top level of my hard drive. I know everything that is at this directory level.
    I opened the file using word and it contained the following:
    DMFRAM -Error( 0): Can't open file: dt05tmp.01 !
    (repeated 5 times)
    Can anyone decipher this?
    I am now really paranoid. I thought I was safe with Apple's built-in Firewall set to maximum security so learning this has caused me a lot of concern.
    I have since purchased and installed NetBarrier and disabled the root user. Any other tips to secure my computer would be greatly appreciated.
    15" Powerbook 1 GHz   Mac OS X (10.4.7)
    I also would like to check my logs to see if I can spot any unusual activity but i can only see the last three days in the ipfw.log? Can anyone tell me where to find older and/or the logs i should be looking at?
    Thanks in advance

    Having the firewall turned on is only useful against mitigating attacks that target services you don't want/expect to run. It does nothing against protecting against services that you enable. For example, if you're running a web server you presumably want to allow people to hit it, therefore the firewall needs to allow port 80 traffic in. It's not validating that traffic to see whether it's a real request, or whether the web server software you're running contains a vulnerability (like the all-too-common sql-injection common to many discussion boards).
    Even more importantly the firewall doesn't do anything to protect against weak passwords. The chances are your friend knows your name (he is your friend after all), so he has half the keys he needs to get into your machine if you have SSH/Remote Login enabled. Now all he has to do is try different password combinations until one works... pet's name, child's name, zip code, etc. Once he finds a match there's no firewall in the world that's going to stop him poking around your machine, and this is the likeliest cause of any break-ins.
    What can you do about it? not much other than to use really good passwords and to disable any accounts that you don't absolutely need.
    As for the logs, they're rotated and compressed weekly where the last four weeks' logs are /var/log/ipfw.0.gz, /var/log/ipw.1.gz, etc.
    You can use Console.app to view the logs, or decompress them manually at the command line. However, it's unlikely to yield any results if he came in through a door that was unlocked.
    What might be more useful is the system.log or secure.log which will log failed login attempts. I'm betting somewhere there (maybe in one of the .gzipped versions) there's a number of password failures (unless your password is really easy to remember.

    Create devel catalog (appl from this catalog can damage your phone but don't have to so if you are not sure about your needs or skills dont use it and wait for official applications from Nokia or firmware update) The software hosted in Extras-devel is NOT ready for normal users! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't play with it unless you really know what you are doing. Be ready to file proper bug reports instead of posting complaints. Expected problems: crashes, battery drain, poor system performance, full disk space & more - SERIOUSLY! Don't play with Extras-devel if you haven't backed up your data or are prepared to re-flash your device.

    Refresh catalogue
    Install fAPN and fMMS
    Run fAPN and create new APN with MMS setting which you can get from your operator or find on this page (this may not be needed for all users, see note below)
    Run fMMS and it will start with configuration
    Put APN name the same you named your MMS APN point during fAPN configuration
    Type MMSC which you can take from your operator
    Type your number starting with +
    Put max size of pics you want to have in outgoing MMS
    Save all and start sending MMS from fMMS menu.
    It is very important to put correct setting in new APN and be sure if there is proxy needed in your operator.
    WHEN YOU GO TO MMS to set your configuraions, the information should look like this

    I stream Internet raidiot from iPad air to Bluetooth speakers.  Can anyone suggest the best EQ app to use to enhance the sound.
    THanks

    Yeah, I know I can restore it, but I might as well go ahead and try. I just finished a backup for icloud and itunes to make sure, I'll go ahead and restore it and set it up as new and see how that works. Seems like I have no other options at this point, I'd still like to know what they did with the Download tab in itunes store, if they removed it or if I'm just overlooking it.

  • How can we pass the master report value in to detail  report

    Hi All,
    My question is how can I pass the master report value in to detail (Child) report filter?
    I mean I have one master report if I click on employee name then I have to pass the employee id in to details report filter. Then detail report will display data for that particular employee.
    How can I achieve this one in OBIEE?
    Please help me to resolve this issue. Thanks in advance for your time and support.

    In that case, you should look at using Go Url. In your column formula for the employee name, create a hyperlink to the detail report and pass the employee id.
    Take a look at this post: Re: Dyanmic display of the Image Link URL
    Thanks!

  • I am putting together a proposal for a Final Cut Pro Workstation to use with a tapeless HD camera.  Can anyone suggest the best camera (in the 5-10,000 dollar range) ?  What hardware and software should I include in the package?

    I am putting together a proposal for a Final Cut Pro Workstation to use with a tapeless HD camera.  Can anyone suggest the best camera (in the 5-10,000 dollar range) ?  What hardware and software should I include in the package?

    This is quite an open suggestion, but here are some ideas which might get you started.  There are good HD cameras in your price range from Sony, Panasonic and Canon (and maybe other manufacturers). Tapeless formats vary.  I have only worked with Sony XDCAM which seems pretty good to me.  File sizes for material shot at 35MBS are not too huge and, with the free Sony transfer and conversion programme, are easy to bring into the computer via USB direct from the camera or from a fairly inexpensive converter.  The Sony XDCAM EX3 can produce results well up to broadcast quality.
    As to hardware, you'll need a powerful MAC - iMac, Macbook Pro or MacPro with 4GB or more of RAM and a good video card.  Softwarewise, FCPX is quite a bit cheaper than FC Studio 3 and of course it's 64bit and can make better use of multi-core machines than FCP7.    It's also designed to handle HD formats with less hassle than FCP7 and is matched to the latest versions of Motion and Compressor.   But you'd probably be wise to search reviews of FCPX before you make your choice - it has some issues.
    A good HD monitor will be essential and, for colour correction etc, you may want to consider a second monitor or HD TV foe editing. ( A MacPro is generally the best machine to connect a second monitor to).
    This should give you a good editing system, but there are many other things you could add (Photoshop, professional sound monitors, etc)
    Hope this helps a bit.

    I'M HAVING TROUBLE USING THE SAVE FEATURE IN LION AS IT'S MUCH DIFFERENT THAN THAT IN SNOW LEAPORD, CAN ANYONE SHARE THE CORRECT PROCEEDURE TO SAVE A DOCUMENT?

    Revert back to Snow Leopard would be the ideal choice.
    Not writing in all caps would be nice too, it's SHOUTING
    Thirdly, Lion introduced auto-save, so you have to duplicate the file, then open the duplicate to make changes.
    Wonderfully asinine.
    Quit the program, it will ask you to save.
