My zagg keyboard stopped working after I took my iPad Air out to use this morning.  How do I get it to automatically work again?

My zagg keyboard just stopped working with my iPad Air.   What do I do?

Hi Sheryl998,
Assuming the batteries are good in the keyboard, see if this troubleshooting article gets you going again.

Hmm, that is very strange. I agree with MichelB that it's probably best just to get the PDF, but you can try going to your username>library>preferences and deleting:
    com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist
    Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 settings
    Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 paths
To see the library, click the Go menu in the Finder and hold down the option key and it will appear below the little house for your user account. While you're in there it wouldn't be a bad idea to go to the Saved Application States folder and delete anything pertaining to PSE.
Repair permissions and see if that does it.

In the iCloud preference pane, sign in to the same account you use on the other devices, if you haven't already done that. Then check the box marked Contacts.

  • U530 Touch Keyboard stops working after a period of time

I just got a new Ideapad U530 touchscreen laptop yesterday.  After a few minutes the keyboard stops working.  I uninstalled a few of the Lenovo multimedia programs I don't need.  Is there a bios update or a driver I should update after purchase?

    Solved!

The reset didn't work partially.  I reinstalled the Comodo firewall and the keyboard stopped working again.  I uninstalled it and installed the free Zonealarm.

  • My keyboard stop working

I own lenovo g505 laptop and my keyboard stop working again the first time I fix it by restarting my laptop but now it has start doing it again and restarting/shutdown not helping any fix? and no I did not spill any liquids on it.

That could be a loose ribbon cable or hardware fault, I assume your laptop is still under warranty, If so you should return your laptop to the place of purchase for replacement or repair.
Edit: Before returning, Backup all your data to external drive using onekey recovery, Power off your laptop, Press onekey recovery (Small button to the right of power button), This will list some options scroll down to recovery & tap return key. This will re-install windows on your laptop, Once installed open wordpad or something smililar & test your keyboard. If your keyboard works after the fresh install restore your backed up files using onekey restore.
    Hope that helps

  • TS3048 Number pad on extended keyboard stopped working after updating to OSX 10.9.1. Testing keyboard on old system still works perfectly.

Expanded keyboard stopped working correctly after updating my system from OSX 10.8.6 to OSX 10.9.1 and now 10.9.2. The keypad numbers do not work although the numbers along the top of the keyboard work fine. Moving the keyboard back to computer still using 10.8.6 and it works fine.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, they may not work as described.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Third-party system modifications are a common cause of usability problems. By a “system modification,” I mean software that affects the operation of other software — potentially for the worse. The following procedure will help identify which such modifications you've installed. Don’t be alarmed by the complexity of these instructions — they’re easy to carry out and won’t change anything on your Mac.
These steps are to be taken while booted in “normal” mode, not in safe mode. If you’re now running in safe mode, reboot as usual before continuing.
Below are instructions to enter some UNIX shell commands. The commands are harmless, but they must be entered exactly as given in order to work. If you have doubts about the safety of the procedure suggested here, search this site for other discussions in which it’s been followed without any report of ill effects.
Some of the commands will line-wrap or scroll in your browser, but each one is really just a single line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, and you can then copy it. The headings “Step 1” and so on are not part of the commands.
Note: If you have more than one user account, Step 2 must be taken as an administrator. Ordinarily that would be the user created automatically when you booted the system for the first time. The other steps should be taken as the user who has the problem, if different. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this paragraph doesn’t apply.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
When you launch Terminal, a text window will open with a line already in it, ending either in a dollar sign (“$”) or a percent sign (“%”). If you get the percent sign, enter “sh” and press return. You should then get a new line ending in a dollar sign.
    Step 1
Triple-click the line of text below on this page to select it:
    kextstat -kl | awk '!/com\.apple/{printf "%s %s\n", $6, $7}' | open -ef
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Then click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste (command-V). A TextEdit window will open with the output of the command. If the command produced no output, the window will be empty. Post the contents of the TextEdit window (not the Terminal window), if any — the text, please, not a screenshot. You can then close the TextEdit window. The title of the window doesn't matter, and you don't need to post that. No typing is involved in this step.
    Step 2
    Repeat with this line:
    { sudo launchctl list | sed 1d | awk '!/0x|com\.(apple|openssh|vix\.cron)|org\.(amav|apac|cups|isc|ntp|postf|x)/{print $3}'; echo; sudo defaults read com.apple.loginwindow LoginHook; echo; sudo crontab -l; } 2> /dev/null | open -ef
This time you'll be prompted for your login password, which you do have to type. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. Type it carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. Heed that warning, but don't post it. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
Note: If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before taking this step. If that’s not possible, skip to the next step.
    Step 3
    { launchctl list | sed 1d | awk '!/0x|com\.apple|org\.(x|openbsd)/{print $3}'; echo; crontab -l 2> /dev/null; } | open -ef
    Step 4
    ls -A /e*/{cr,la,mach}* {,/}Lib*/{Ad,Compon,Ex,Fram,In,Keyb,La,Mail/Bu,P*P,Priv,Qu,Scripti,Servi,Spo,Sta}* L*/Fonts .la* 2> /dev/null | open -ef
Important: If you formerly synchronized with a MobileMe account, your me.com email address may appear in the output of the above command. If so, anonymize it before posting.
    Step 5
osascript -e 'tell application "System Events" to get name of login items' | open -ef
Remember, steps 1-5 are all copy-and-paste — no typing, except your password. Also remember to post the output.
    You can then quit Terminal.

  • Snow Leopard hangs after LDAP login, mouse works, keyboard stops working

    Afternoon,
It was suggested that I post my question below in a server forum rather than a client form.
    Mike
    Morning,
Earlier I posted a question about 10.5 brightness and 10.6. The user will deal with the brightness issue, so that's moot at the moment. I still have an issue with 10.6 hanging.
I have configured 10.6 to authenticate using OpenLDAP from a Red Hat box. The authentication works fine. I have added /home from the same linux box to the list of NFS mounts (Disk Utility->File->NFS Mounts?, I'm not in front of the mac box at this moment to verify). The /home filesystem does get mounted.
Very quickly after logging into a non-local, LDAP account, the mac box becomes useless in that I cannot start any programs, I can't logout, I can't do anything. If I double click on Terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal) I get the brief flash like Terminal is starting, but the application never appears on the desktop.
I can still ssh into the mac box. When I ssh in and run top, to see what's consuming the CPU, the machine is idle. My guess right now is every application is timing out or failing to start. I see nothing hogging the CPU nor the network.
When I log in using a local, non-LDAP account the mac box acts as I expect it to when launching applications, looking at NFS, surfing the web, etc.
Any ideas what's going on, what to check for, and how to fix this?
This is an iMac 27". I may need to contact Apple support on this one.
    Mike
Additionally, the mouse continues to work, the keyboard stops working (wifi both), and the finder starts reporting -10810 on every application open attempt. I can select the Apple->Logout or Restart options, but nothing happens. I must ssh into the iMac and 'shutdown -r now' to get back to a login so I can login as root to make further changes.
    Mike

I was able to grab a crash log if that helps.

  • After editing a message in firefox (whether yahoo mail or any other app) the keyboard stops working and I just get an audio sound with any key stroke.

This problem occurs with any page that requires keyboard input. If I make an errot in typing and have to go back or edit a sentence the keyboard stops working. THis only happens with Firefox and not with any other browser (Chrome, Safari etc)

    Hello,
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: ''This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.''
To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
    #Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

  • Apple wired keyboard stops working after iTunes sync

I have an imac running snow leopard.  When I sync old ipad, iphone 3gs or iphone 4, the wired keyboard stops working.  The only solution seems to be to turn the IMac off and turn on again.  Have tried resetting permissions with no success. Any ideas?

    Try resetting the NVRAM

Try another BK. Maybe a KB problem.
Try booting to Recovery and see if it works OK. Maybe a software problem with Yosemite

  • After updates, wireless keyboard stopped working.

    HI...
All was going along swimmingly, setting up my new iMac... I did some updates and then for some strange reason my wireless keyboard stopped working? I know it’s not the keyboard because delete works, my widgets work and some other keys work - and - the whole keyboard was working from start up (at first)...
But I just can’t use the Alfa keys all of a sudden - very unusual, no?
    What happened?
Any opinions, suggestions and comments are greatly welcomed
    Thank you in advance....

For those who it may concern...
I called up support and I had to delete two files from the Systems Library called “com.apple...systempreferences.plist” and “com.apple.universalaccess.plist”.....
I hope you never need this information but - it worked for me....

  • Q10 keyboard stopped working after 10.3.1 update

Hi everyone. I did the 10.3.1 update on my Porsche 9982 today and all is great. I did the update on my wife's Q10 and the keyboard stopped working. I have pulled the battery a couple times but still not working. I dont even know if I can restore to factury as I am not able to type 'blackberry' in the screen to do the reload. Any suggestions? This was a Q10 that was used for beta testing but is the newer model. Help

I suggest you try the very clean and very forceful AutoLoader method:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-10-OS-Device-Software/Upgrading-OS10-devices-using...
Beware that it is completely destructive...the device will be "like new"...no data, no apps, no accounts, etc. Be sure you take a full backup first, as well as make full manual documentation of all apps, accounts, configurations, etc. Sometimes a restore reintroduces the very corruption one is trying to eliminate, and manual reconfiguration is necessary.
You can also use this to fall back to a prior OS if you desire...you can install any OS level for which you can find an AutoLoader. (Hint...search over on the CB site!)
Good luck and let us know!

  • Keyboard stopped working after upgrading to Windows 10

I just upgraded my HP Pavilion X2 to Windows 10 and the keyboard stopped working.  Is there an update from HP that can correct this issue?

, Hello and thanks for posting on the HP support forums.  The only option you have at the moment is to run the windows update troubleshooter and run any update recommended or optional.  If that does not fix it then you will need to roll back to the original supported operating system the x2 was built to run on. Here is the link for the troubleshooter. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-the-Windows-Update-troubleshooter Please let me know how things go.  Thanks again for the post and have a great day.

    Hi Carlos,
It's a bit of a longshot, but have you tried trashing ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Finder.plist?
