Can anyone suggest a solution to iPhone 4 (ios 6.0.1) not finding an AT&T MicroCell signal?
Prior to upgrading to iOS 6, my iPhone 4 began to fail to acquire the signal from an AT&T MicroCell. This solution to my reception problems had worked flawlessly for about 18 months. We live in an area with poor reception which AT&T acknowledges, hence the MicroCell unit.
AT&T tested the cell and pronounced it hale and hearty. All of the cell's external lights are clean and green. After some days/weeks, I discovered that when the phone was rebooted, (turned off and back on) it would acquire and keep the micro cell signal for some time or until my routers were turned off, or I was away from the house/signal. Then the process could be repeated and I would have signal again.
ATT suggested I wait for the 6.0.1 iOS update before I upgraded, the implication being that all would be well. Needless to say, all is not well. Nothing has changed since the upgrade to iOS 6.0.1 and now the phone does not acquire the MicroCell, even after rebooting.
Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks.
I had a similar problem and after dealing with a year of microcell issues, I switched to a signal booster instead. I got one here. It just wasn't worth dealing with a buggy device. I'm not sure if it was my Internet connection or what, but I'm happy now.

iTunes became corrupted on my PC so had to unistall. I now cannot re-install on the same PC. I have installed iTunes on another PC but have no idea how to get my library back. I am fairly computer illiterate so can anyone suggest something I can easily understand? Thanks

Upgrade to Leopard. Better yet, Snow Leopard if your Mac is an Intel model (you don't say much about the computer which makes this hard to make suggestions).

ThanksKnown bug. Quitting Mail and then reopening it usually resets it.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

I have tried everything. Wifi is working, I can use safari with no problems, I've tried restarting iPad, I've tried signing out then back into iTunes...and a reboot of my iPad. Nothing works!!!! Oh and I checked for updates and everything is up to date.

Is there an easy way of importing the children's books into ibooks author? There is an image on every other page. The books has to be in fixed layout format.

If you mean keep the same as original, I wouldn't expect to retain that, sorry.
You'd be obligated to either copy/paste in sections/blocks of text, images, etc. or insert from Pages/Word, but either way you can expect to have to rework towards whatever 'fixed' layout you need in an iBA book....that can mean significant work in some examples.
You may want to work with a sample to find out the best workflow in any case.

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
* Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.

Click the Apple () menu top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac. The version is noted there.

FYI - VMware fusion only works with 10.7 and higher, Virtualbox is clunky and I think you need a compute science degree to operate it.
New virtual machine when I tried to ijnstall the trail version offers a migrate from PC or install windows from a DVD or image.......and I don't ewant to do that, I just want to run an emulator, install 2 XP 32 bit applications and be able to run them in the emulator is all. cannot send or receive yahoo mail or gmail from iPhone . installed ios 6 recently. tried rebooting the phone and deleting the email account and adding again but nothing works ! can someone suggest a solution?
Not sure about yahoo, but for gmail, I done the following:
Set up using Exchange on iPhone, it'll keep prompting for password. On PC use captcha option, log in to gmail account from PC after completingg captcha option, enter password on iPhone.
See how that goes for gmail, let us know.
Hopefully someone will have fix for yahoo. -
My iphone wont connect to itunes on my macbook after I have already synced it. I am running the lastest itunes 10.4 and I have tried restarting both phone and mac. Can anyone suggest what I can do?
You will have to put your phone into recovery mode and restore the phone as new. Since you don't have a back up, you will lose all the data on your phone but you will be able to use it again.

Can anyone suggest an app to download for SMS messaging for iphone 3G as the message application factory installed is pretty useless and doesnt keep your sent messages in a sent folde and has no folders unlike most messaging features on other phones.

MarkWhy do you need a Sent folder? iOS's Messaging interface lays each conversation out like a chat or IM. Personally, I find that much more convenient.
